Travelling with iluvtrekking from our home state WA. Spending a few days in Nuriootpa to cache the surrounds. Loving the scenery that we pass as we move through the caches - this is our preferred caching - not suburbs. Drizzly day but the farmers definitely need it. Sticking to the black and the white roads. Thanks Freddy

After a full day at and around the Mega another day was planned with allister w and Michells&hound while she was back from Tasmania for a few days. The plan was that we would head up to Kapunda via an Adventure Lab in Gawler then picking up caches that we all hadn't found. We had a great day driving some cool tracks and finding caches in out of the way places. We even had time for a nice bakery lunch in Kapunda. This one took quite a while to find even though we were with a previous finder. Allister ended up making the find. Thanks for the cache Freddo.

Up in Hamley Bridge for 2 days for work, so I popped out at 8pm for a few caches. It's raining, very dark, chilly and windy and I don't know my way around...what could possibly go wrong?!
But I found this one!
On my fourth pass, after applying some logic I finally had the win. Pretty sure I already groped around in that spot!

10-Jun-23
Spent the day doing a family history tour with Mum around Hamley Bridge, as my grandfather was born there, plus finding caches along the way
Took 10mins to find this one, and found after looking a 3rd time in the same location , so many hiding places!

09-Jan-23
Spending a few days exploring and caching around the Clare Valley. Visiting some towns that I haven’t been before so lots of unfound geocaches up for grabs.

Day one was Hamley Bridge, Stockport, Tarlee and Riverton. Very warm today so didn’t break any records and needed frequent stops to rehydrate.

Thanks for the cache Freddo the Non Believer.

Dnf, but think it was our searching that was the problem. Gave it a good go but in the end ran out of time.

Another cache hunt on our 2022 South Australian Adventure and another Used 2B ticked off. Thanks to all the COs for taking us on this geo-tour. We have enjoyed our time in SA, but it is time to slowly make our way back West again.

TFTC. Along with miff1 we though today would be a good chance to explore some of the Barrossa. We. Had earmarked a virtual cache at Hamley Bridge as our primary objective. We would stop and find other caches as we came close. We lunched at Nurioopta before completing a tour of their Historic wineries. A great relaxing day,

08-Feb-22
A change of pace today, our team was hugely decreased in numbers with only HansandLinda and ourselves goingand to Nurioopta to visit the lovely Snappy Tomcats followed by lunch and a tour of the wineries to complete an AL. Plus we picked upa few other caches that were needed to help fill DT grids or challenges. SL TFTC

Took us a while, but Geo Dad’s experience got us over the line in the end. On the hunting trail again with SeasonedBird, Liz & Bruce. Blue sky day, so it’s a great day for caching. TFTC Freddo
Find #3948 at 12:59.

23-Oct-21
Thanks for hiding, got it just where you said it would be sort of. Took some searching for. Good to be having a look around the area. Caching with Wollaston and SeasonedBird.

23-Oct-21
Armed with final coords we approached and realised it wouldn’t be a quick reach and grab, this one needed four on the floor searching. We were noses down in amongst the sleepers trying to be the one to ‘win’ when we heard Bruce gleefully say ‘found it’. Of course we all jumped with glee, welcoming this proud announcement, said ‘phew’ and dutifully signed the log.

On our way to a new destination after enjoying several days in the Barossa with Wollaston and Liz&Bruce.

Thanks to the many hands and minds taking time to set out hides and showing us your part of the world

The weekly Wednesday wandering of the befuddled, thwarted by the weather was postponed until today, a much more pleasant day to head north and attempt a few previous DNF's targeted with many others on our list. A return visit by the adder after a previous DNF. The log book is soaked but should dry out over the warmer months. Thank you for the placement of the Used 2B a Church Micro #0027 cache Freddo find number 8183 on 13 August 2021 at 10:49 am

Today Bob from Elsewhere, FeatherWaite and I headed north from Adelaide to find some caches. We were mainly targeting multis, but also found a few puzzle caches and some Traditionals. We covered a fairly large area from Hamley Bridge, up to Clare, then back to Kapunda via Marrabel.

Most of the multis were short and quite straightforward and the puzzles had been solved in preparation beforehand.

The weather was nice and mild, which made for a great day for caching. Despite it being a public holiday, the roads weren’t too busy, there weren’t a lot of people about around most GZs, which made things a bit easier.

Thanks to all the cache owners for the caches.

28-Dec-20
Found with Bob from Elsewhere and e.gregory1 on a caching trip up to the Clare and Barossa Valleys, mostly taking the backroads in search of multis and puzzle caches, with an occasional traditional cache thrown into the mix. Thanks for the cache Freddo!

Find 3204

Today I was invited by FeatherWaite and e.gregory to join them on a trip to the Barossa Valley.

Little did I know that the intended route would be via Stockport, Hamely Bridge up to Clare by the back roads, joining the highway at Watervale. Then back to Kapunda via Mintaro, Saddleworth and Marrabel.
The closest we got to the Barossa Valley was the Sturt Highway north of Nurioopta on the way home.

From the back seat I was able to collect the required information, calculate and navigate to the GZ.

Thanks toFreddo for the cache.

This weekend, jesswrigley and I headed to the Clare Valley for a bit of wine tasting and cycling the Riesling Trail. We were treated to great sunny weather, and nice to have been visiting the wine region.

Today, jesswrigley and I started the day by heading north around Clare to visit a few miscellaneous locations and old churches. We then made our way to Polish Hill River, and then on to Mintaro where we participated in the famous maze. After visiting *Taylors Wines* for a wine and chocolate tasting, we had a final session cycling along the Riesling Trail north from Watervale. We then made the return home, briefly stopping at Tarlee, Stockport, and Hamley Bridge.

Another nice converted church, of which we quickly obtained the required numbers, and then made the short drive to GZ. I was a little apprehensive at the previous DNF, and so we both began to search, but we ended up finding the cache in this cool little location within a few minutes. The cache container and logbook were in good shape. Thanks Freddo the Non-Believer for the cache placement and ongoing maintenance.
Note that this geocache was logged with the *Team Warren* Davidwazza/jesswrigley stamp.

Owl decided that another Girls' Caching Day Out was in order, so collected SA Sewer Rats to continue their Saturday run north. The numbers for this cache were soon crunched, the friendly dog avoided... and then the fun began. An almost complete circuit of the town was made, trying to find a way to GZ, then the prior finder led Owl completely astray. Eventually the cache was located, but it was not a pretty look. It's still a find though!

Nomads travelling in their caravan around Australia. We have been on the road since July 2011 and discovered caching in August 2013. We travel with a bunch of travel bugs belonging to our sons and grand children. Where ever possible, we will maintain your cache as we travel. Today we arrived in Hamley Bridge.

Using geocaching as our tour guide, we set out to look for a few caches around town.

Nice old church just waiting for the end of renovation. Final coordinates worked out quickly. Used 2B a railway line AND Used 2B a road. Interesting lane. Thanks for bringing us here Freddo the Non Believer

The usual Wednesday Wander for members of the Puzzled Puzzlers saw only myself and Mrs. S.A. Sewer Rat available for the day. Surprised Time to take the circuitous route between the main arterial roads cleaning out all those caches just a little off the beaten track. Razz Of course we also needed to pick up a few that had popped up in the main towns since the last time we had been through. Cool

I quickly had the numbers I needed. Even the math didn't prove to be too difficult - even for me. [B)] Finding the cache not so. Despite the clue it still took some time so feel out the hide. Smile

**Thanks Freddo for this cache. ** Big Grin

The 3 of us had been to Broken Hill over the Easter Weekend. With only a few caches in town we had decided to head back to Adelaide on Easter Sunday to avoid any crazy Easter Monday traffic. We did all the caches in Broken Hill and found it a great place to visit, lots of history and the caches we did find were really good.
It seemed like a very long drive to Broken Hill on Good Friday we punctuated the drive with a few geocaches. We kept several on the other side of the highway for the drive home.
There were a kazillion dead roos by the side of the road, they are desperate for some rain and good. The stench of dead kangas was pretty pungent.
So the long drive commenced and interestingly it didn't seem so far on the way home and we were back home by 5pm.
After a bakery lunch in Burra we continued on to Hamley Bridge to collect the various caches here. This one naturally was on the list. Was a bit of a tip outside the church today hopefully they will turn the tip into something nice! Collected the info and then headed to GZ. Made a right meal of finding the cache, checked and checked, got the geohusband and hound up to check and then eventually found the cache in a spot I was sure I had checked 5 minutes earlier!

Data collection was straightforward and, with the coordinates calculated, we headed off to GZ. Our GPS was quite erratic at this location and that led to us having to search two locations that were consistent with the hint. After a short hunt the cache was located. The cache and contents were in good condition. Thanks Freddo for this cache and for the series.

05-Apr-19

Been past here many a time on the way to stargazing up in the next town. I'd never ventured to the GZ area and certainly never poked around "up there". I'm glad they have fixed the level crossing by laying a new smooth road over it - do you remember the double dip [?] - first time I went over it I hit my head on the roof of the car and nearly knocked myself out. Perhaps the Hamley Bridge crossing explains a lot....

Clear skies from TeamAstro.

Created a culinary delight for the Rats and we ate a sumptuous meal... Oh OK OK so we had a homemade yum chicken something with pastry ..i can dream of what I used to do! After Mr Rat went home Mrs SASewerRats and I took a drive to check on a cache I had adopted and grab a multi that had turned up... After first turning down a wrong road we found WP1 was So easily ... Then we went back to WP1 get the right info.. GOOD GRIEF Night time not recommended for looking around here! Then off we go to the ORIGINAL road and then the fun began. Mrs Rat was in her moccasins and Il in uniform... Heads down and assume the GC 101 pose....
Finally found it where I should have started to begin with and duly signed. TYFTC SLTNLN

After a lovely dinner with Skuzzybear.
It was decided to go and do a check on a cache and find a multi.
Went to the wrong place first.
Saw the error of our ways and found where we were supposed to be.
Gathered the required numbers, did the equation.
Then took our time at GZ a few laughs.
Skuzzybear finally put her paws on the cache. log signed and replaced. Tftc

On the way up north the three of us stopped here to admire the Ex-church. A short time later a likely place for a cache hide was calculated. I found the cache in the first place I put my hand - don't you just love it when that happens?

Signed the log. Thanks for the cache Freddo.

Jesus has left the building. Maybe he went next door. Looks like he's left that building now to though. After looking at the correct church, we got some numbers that made sense and headed off to GZ. I looked in one end and gridge98 looked in the other end. He picked the right end...

Another easy church micro, these are great multis that shine light on a bit of history, thanks to the hint for a quick hide.

An afternoon drive up to Clare today with laighside legends to attend an event at the local pub, along the way we sopped at a few traditionals that he was yet to find as well as some new ones no long out of publishing. Only 10 finds for me on the trip.
