#20789 - 2:39:34 PM; In Tasmania for a couple of weeks to visit family and friends. Arrived in Hobart last night and today was free for some sightseeing and an opportunity to collect a couple of outstanding LGAs. Managed eleven from twelve today and added Sorell and Glenorchy to the LGA found list. Kingborough is on the agenda for tomorrow, then its only the islands to go to complete the set. After adding the Sorell LGA to the found list, headed to Richmond and while the geohoney browsed the shops, I collected some of the local caches, including this one. TFTC 63ROOS
Today we headed to Richmond for a gander. We think we came here back in 2009 but have hazy memories . We enjoyed a thorough walk around today, it was freezing cold and skies were grey. We may need to come back again before we leave Tassie.Had a fab coffee and cake at the bakery and enjoyed a pack lunch. Left camp at 9am and back home at 5.30pm so it was certainly a full day. Thank you to all the kindly CO for placing and maintaining caches for us to enjoy.Nice quick find here as we walked along the river. TFTC
Had lunch with my sister so had a look and there is a cache nearby lovely quick find TFTC

Visiting Richmond today exploring the town then grabbed a few easy caches.. Was looking in the wrong spot but hubby soon found it where he was hunting. TFTC
How scenic. It was so tempting to do the walk next to it, but we have so many more things to do. Would have been good walking of that ridiculously delicious sate burger from the food van in town! Thanks
At last I am able to claim a find on this cache. On my two previous visits to this GZ there were muggles so the search had to be avoided.
We are following close on the heals of someone else. At least we found it. Thanks 63roos for placing and maintaining.
Watawieh from Norfolk Island South Pacific.

A day in and around the Derwent Valley, with such a variety of ways to earn some smiley tokens for our geo-map of Tassie. A nice quick find just before beginning our "journey" back to Hobart.
Thanks to 63ROOS for adding this cache to the gameboard.

Found on a trip to Tasmania from South Australia to visit family and friends and find a few geocaches.
Today was a big day, with nearly 500km covered. The main aim was the 'Something Smells Fishy' wherigo series, with a few other targeted caches along the way. The plan was to then head up to the Central Highlands before returning via a circuitous route to pick up a few more specific caches of interest.
I got away quite early, but unfortunately the fishing pole series took a lot longer than I had anticipated. I almost pulled the pin on the Central Highlands, but it was such a beautiful day, I thought I should continue with the plan, albeit a slightly cut back version.
All in all I was travelling and caching for almost 14 hours, resulting in about 50 cache finds - not a lot for the time and distance, but they were mostly specifically targeted caches that I was keen to find.
This one was found without any difficulty and the cache and contents are in good condition.
Thanks 63ROOS for the cache.

I’m in Tasmania for a week-long geocaching holiday with some New Zealand geocachers. Today is day 4. I travelled from Hobart up to Launceston, doing some caching on the way with Net61 and SuperNanny and occasionally meeting up with the others along the way.
This was our fourth find of the day on the way to Launceston. It didn’t take too long before Net61 found the cache as per the hint.
Thanks for the cache

After strolling around town, we saw that this cache was not too far away from where we parked the geovan so we did the quick stroll down the river to grab it

After getting ready to leave we decided to get this cache before we headed off. The coordinates were a bit off but it was still close enough.
On holidays ,we are looking around this lovely town , could not leave with out finding a few local caches. tftc
Found this cache while on holidays traveling around Tasmania.
Today we're exploring Richmond. After seeing the sights in town we ventured out to do a few of the outlying caches.
No luck finding it first up so we scrolled through a few old logs. In them we discovered we had to search a few meters away from where I was.
I should have checked there first as it was the obvious spot.

Thought we would get this one while in Richmond. Took a little longer than we thought as we were expecting it to be smaller but found it in the end. Tftc
Spent mothers day in Richmond today. Started with the maze then explored around. There were so many people here. This one wasn't too far from where we parked the car. At GZ a quick easy find. Collected the info for the bonus. TFTC
Today we fancied a quiet one, so we drove over to Richmond to visit the Pooseum and explore the town.
This was a nice quick find whilst the family toured the gaol.
Thanks!!

Down south from north of the 42 deg. border for a bit of socialising and of course a few (hopefully quite a few) caches ! Nice hide for this one, our third for the morning thus far. TFTC 63ROOS
That took us longer than it should!! Find 6/13 for today. Enjoyed the stroll. Tftc

Thanks for the cache, 63ROOS !
Doing a few caches while I’m in the area, perhaps this one requires a hint from another within the series?? Could not find anything within GZ but maybe try another time )

A quick and easy find. I did wait for a nearby farmer, who was mowing his paddock, to pass by.
Thanks for the fun.
