Thanks Bonfire7 for this earthcache! We enjoyed it! This area of the coast is beautiful! We are the Roos from Ryde and Orange!

Hi Bonfire7, thanks for your efforts on this cache.
We were here today on our NSW coast leg of our ‘Around Australia’ trip.
We set off back at the start of 2021 expecting to go around Australia in 12 months - here we are still going in 2023 with about 1/3 of the island left to lap.
My (Geo Mum) personal Favourite experience: Too many to choose, Finding Gold and Opal high up there, working on a CQ cattle station was awesome too.
Favourite location: Gibb River Road/ Kimberley closely followed by Nhulunbuy/ Arnhem Land.
Best paid activity: Horizontal falls
Best free activity: Kings Canyon Rim Walk, Matt Wright putting us up for free in one of his helicopters was pretty awesome. (Let’s not talk about his current situation )
Most interesting location. Arnhem Land
What you have learnt: I wish I had something insightful to put in here, if I though really hard about it perhaps I do but I gues the most practical things I learnt are: Mango sap burns, midges are xxxx’s and dog beds are a versatile alternative to real furniture.
Miss the most: Family & Friends, closely followed by my garden and my chooks.
Look forward to the most: The Whitsundays
Regrets? Worrying so much and not heading off years ago!

*Sorry for the copy and paste log but I’m notorious for getting behind with logs and fluffing them up.

Over this way for a fishing holiday in Bermagui which has turned into a caching trip due to the poor weather.
Went up for a look around Tilba the into Narooma today, detoured off to look at Mystety Bay.
A unique area with its 'kinks' enjoyed reading about the geology here. Plenty of people camping here.
Thanks for the Earth cache!

Day 12 of our 2 week road trip south from Brisbane. After overcoming floods, a bogged car and vehicle electrical issues, we finally reached Canberra to spend a few days with relatives before continuing south for a loop around the Snowy Mountains. From there we headed towards Eden to commence the run north towards home along the coastline.
I had noted the parking coordinates for this one showing up quite a distance away from GZ. I wasn't overly keen on walking any further than I had to, and the campsite was pretty much deserted with no caretaker evident so decided to drive in as far as possible. If challenged I was just going to say I was inspecting the campsites for a future visit. But nobody paid us any heed at all so I was able to park almost at the trailhead waypoint, although the tracks were a little muddy and storm damaged in places from the recent rains.
Quite an impressive structure when you first hit the beach and start walking towards GZ but even better up close when you get to see the finer details of the deformities and distortions in the respective rock layers. A truly impressive display of the power of the geological forces over millions of years. These are the type of earth cache locations that I love. TFTC

Out with Dty73 and Tankengine for a trip along the far south coast .After a bouncy trip through the camping sites we did the short walk to a great little beach. The beaches in this neck of the wood are great . This would help to make these earth caches so good .well worth the trip .Thank you for the work put into this Kutgw
Down with Youban and Tankengine.
Easy enough to navigate the campsite road potholes to the trail head and an easy walk down to GZ.
The rock formation at GZ was pretty amazing to see. It’s a great example of the geological feature this earthcache is highlighting. We enjoyed our visit thoroughly which included seeing the rocks and looking for shells.
Thanks for bringing us here and of course Tftc!!!

Whilst in the area today visited this spot. Went through the camping area then down to the beach that was fairly quiet. Sure was some interesting rock formations here today. Did observations- sent off answers. TFTEC!
As we made our way back home up the coast, the rain held off just long enough to justify walking down to this cache. It had been a few years since I had been here. Gathered our answers and scrambled back to the car before the next rain squall hit.
Cheers

This is a total must do the rocks at this beach are amazing!! Thanks you for bringing us here
I came upon the earthcache after searching for a track to the nearby trad. My son and I had the beach all to ourselves which was awesome. The EC is a v interesting formation and I enjoyed the description and learnt a lot. Answers sent and hopefully ok. Pic attached also. Tftc. A fave point from me. I really enjoyed the cache and location.
I was keen to do this cache as we ended up at this beach it was nice to check out these layered rocks. And some of us had a short swim afterwards.
Thank you Bonfire7 for putting the cache out and maintaining it.

We visit Mystery Bay everytime we visit Narooma: what a terrific, lovely place! On our way to Tilba, we decided to come and try out this new earthcache (or at least new since we were last here)! Billy's Beach is a lovely spot that was really nice to revisit; especially since we hadn't noticed the awesome geology before! We took a bit of time to examine the rocks and come up with some answers before admiring the beach. On the way back to the car near the camping ground, we ran into other geocachers: we could tell, because of the geocaching sticker on their car! Nice to meet you! Photo of our visit is attached and a message has been sent to the CO: hopefully our answers are alright; if they are not acceptable please feel free to let us know and delete this log. TFTC Bonfire7!
We had a family trip to Narooma for a 50th birthday today so took the opportunity to grab a few caches along the way. Came the few extra km's to do some cache maintenance nearby and this EC.
Very interesting rock formations that I'd never spotted when I hid my cache nearby. Answers sent to CO.
Thanks

Not having done Many earth caches, i now find that there is an earth cache challenge not far from home that i cant make a a smiley until i do a few more, so gathering whilst down this way due to not being able to go north with the bushfires, decided to visit some of the more interesting places down south.
We drove right to the trail head and parked, there wasn't many people about, and you only get charged if you are camping. Managed to drag the muggle wife along to have a look, in her shoes and socks across the beach. after deliberating the questions jotted down the answers and away we went.
thanks for the interesting place to visit and will return to the area again in a few years with our camper for a longer visit.

Last day of the long weekend road trip to the far south coast. Stayed overnight in Beta and worked my way north from there. Again lots of caches and mostly of good quality, thanks to all for putting them out there!

Found this during our Bermagui invasion with Aquilus1! A very cool geological feature here! I took some photos, but won't publish them here, as they will give the answers away! Answers set to CO. Thanks for the cache Bonfire7, and thanks for the company Aquilus1!
With Tankengine we made our way down to this part of the coast, there would be many other canberra cachers out and about in the area as well. Always a great place to visit and was so lucky to have fabulous weather and such good company for the three days.
I must admit I am not a huge fan of earthcaches but I do love the places they take us too, the rocks here were really impressive and I did then wonder at my aversion to them as I quite enjoyed this location. With Tankengine we went through and discussed the answers, he has very kindly sent the answers in on behalf of both of us. I did love this location and the rocks, a favourite from me. Thanks for the cache Bonfire7.

The Cache Owner had alerted me to his new Earthcache a few days before my trip South.
When checking the map, this one looked very achievable. After the Gulaga trip, I made my way to Mystery Bay to check this cache out.
I followed a single set of shoe prints over to GZ and sort of 'retraced' the steps.
A phone call with the CO allowed me to verbally express my observations.
Thanks For The Earthcache Bonfire7!

What a beautiful location. Passing by with work and it was high time to stop and take a walk.
With low tide it gave me quick access to GZ.
The seas seem to be rolling high waves.
Collected information and was at awe at GZ, wonders of the nature, just like a piece of art.
I haven’t ventured to this little detour but glad I did.
