Marshalls Geelong found this cache today,Quick easy find. No muggles about. TFTC!
Very convenient pitstop. I was on marching orders... Drive home, no caching on the way. Stop for a besoin naturel and check map...ooo... Bonus cache!
At last, a clear day we can get out into the field and do some caching. North and west of our personal GZ today. Moths have got some very canny ways of evading bats trying to catch them. Many thanks to the CO for this cache.
The youngest monster was in charge of this hunt however Old Man Monsters height was needed for the find! TFTC!!
Found last Thursday on the way to Casterton for the Kelpie Muster weekend, needed to stop quickly for a toilet break and glad there was a cache nearby. All good here with the cache. Interesting info board about the Golden Sun Moth as my kids are homeschoolers and we frequently meet up with other homeschoolers at a playground called Golden Sun Moth park in Craigieburn, and theres no info board like this over there so we had no idea that it was critically endangered til now. Anyway TFTC! (Attached pic is photo of the Golden Sun Moth park in Craigieburn)
This cache eluded me with my newbieness. But if not for the cache I wouldnt have noticed the sign and I found this info super interesting. Looking forward to the satisfaction of finding this one another day. Thanks mclookers you have made cresssy a very cool place for geocaching.
Leaving Ballarat today and heading to Colac area for a few nights before heading to Geelong for the end of my trip
Date: February 17, 2024 Time: 12:32 PMFind #14382Today was a big day, a 5:40am wakeup and out the door by 6am headed for a parkrun at Bannockburn Bush first up at 8, followed by a few local caches. I then came up with the crazy idea to attempt to get my Colac Otway LGA cache count to 20. It started at just 1!Not feeling like doing my intended hike this morning, I headed to Cressy and a nice tour of the town. Massive thanks go to McLookers for placing this one.
Nice quick find thanks. Driving back to melb after visiting my grandfather in Port fairy.

A quick stop to break the long drive down to Portland. Thanks. No moths about today but one large spider!
The second stop on our day in Cressy. A quaint little town all but forgotten by the passing of time.
Quick find now off to the next one.

On our way back from Port Fairy... About an hour into the trek and the youngsters were in need of a toilet stop. We pulled in at the beautiful little town of Cressy and got up the Geo-Map... this one was within 5 meters of our parking ! It didn't take us long to locate this one and after a trip to the glovebox for a pen we were signing the logbook. Thanks for the stop here McLookers.
No Moths found but cache found and signed. Mrs JTreeTrack2 did however get lots of butterfly photos next door.

Thank you McLookers for sharing the Moth story with us. Easy find today while passing by.
A new log book soon would be a good idea, as we squeezed our names in along the side. Sorry we didn't have a spare with us today.

Adelaide to Hobart Road Trip
Day Two: Casterton to the ferry.
Weather: warming up!
One of four McLookers Cressy caches. I was expecting a bigger town from the number of caches on offer!
A quick find here, it wasn’t really sitting right, I’ve tried to do a better job on returning it.
Thanks for all these caches McLookers.

Find #5222. Found @ 16:03 with The Good Lady Wife, skirrel, j-bean.
On a holiday getaway multi-day road trip with the family, traveling from Melbourne to Adelaide via Renmark and back to Melbourne. The Renmark to Adelaide trip today, and one that was originally going to lighter on for caching, but we combined some getting larges with skirrel getting some learner hours.
Today was the long drive from Mount Gambier back to Melbourne. After a DNF at the previous cache, and in need of the convenience that was here, I made the quick find while skirrel used the swings. Then I use the facilities and we continued on our merry way.
Took nothing, left nothing, signed log and visited some trackables.
Thanks for the cache McLookers

I found the cache quite easily in amongst all the muggles that kept pulling up and leaving. I took it over to a nearby table to sign, just waiting them out. It’s quite a popular spot here and I guess being a long weekend for most people that it is busier than usual. I did find the giant succulent planters near the amenities quite amusing. What a brilliant idea. TFTC
Stopped here for lunch on our way to Camperdown. Very quiet town. Thanks for the cache.
We had camped at Cape Clear overnight and decided to take a roundabout route back home.
We stopped near this cache as a group of vintage motorcycle enthusiasts were stopping for lunch, and we enjoyed the display of old Indians, Triumphs and Harleys.
This is also an interesting intersection as it used to be and may still be the meeting place of three Federal electorates which divided the town.
We made a quick find with this cache. The cache is in excellent condition. Thank you for this cache, McLookers.

We stopped here going to Cobden for my brother's birthday and found it thanks for the find
Vinz is out doing stuff in the South Western district for few days.
With a couple of lazy hours up his sleeve, why not go in search of a few hidden artifacts in which to make his mark.
A bit different to the others but once again and easy grab, within a few minutes Vinz had left his mark and was off to continue his South Western adventure.

TFTC. The South West Tour. We had planned a longer stay but a few things got in the way so it’s Saturday to Monday. The caching aim was to get some higher D/T ratings and get our average for both above 1.75. Cressy seems a reasonable starting point. Nice easy cache in good condition.
Found with FUF009.
My 1st chance to get out of the City and I took some leave. It was also my birthday on the Friday.
We had initially planned to go camping but the weather wasn't so hot so day trips it is! And actually this was a great day trip. I love the countryside and the open road.
This weekend felt "normal" again after so long apart and in various lockdowns.
Today we drove and drove and drove. And I was a passenger so could enjoy it more.
Stopped to use the loo and had to wait as a dodgy bloke pulled up and had a smoke then left again. He didn't look like the kinda guy to worry about smoking in a car but I guess he was.

Off for a long day, (550+ km drive) to cache around Beeac, Cressy and Rokewood and grab the odd ones out n about.
We left at around 8am and got back home just after 11pm.
Quite the variety of caches found. And in some cool locations too, from lookouts, lakes, salt flats to a plethora of surrounding paddocks, the odd tree climb and a short stroll down a dirt track, the day had it all.
After waiting for a muggle to finish their smoke break, we made a quick find.

Saw a couple of people here before I came out looking at their phones... fellow cachers? A cute find! What a lovely moth. TFTC!
As we drove towards gz there were so many broken branches littering the roadway. There were also several young magpies out of their nests, being guarded by vigilant magpie parents. An elderly lady was struggling with a section of fallen garden fence in her front yard. She was very grateful that we helped her fix the fence. On our return to gz we spotted a suitable spot and quickly located and signed the cache. Thanks for the cache in this lovely little town.
Found by Mary and David at 11:55. Now that we've found this one, we'll have to read the sign again and learn more about this little creature. Our thanks to McLookers.

Stopped to make use of the facilities here and managed to make a nice quick find here.
Thanks McLookers for the cache, the adventure, the hunt and the fun.

Lots of muggles at toilets, had to wait a long time for an opportunity. Missing 1 magnetic.
This made for the perfect toilet break while geo toddler slept in the car right outside. TFTC
This cache find was yet another big learning curve for us, had no idea about this precious moth. Thanks McLookers for placing and adding to our general knowledge.
A toilet stop and a cache... bonus
