Found by stumpyspud with team knowboats. This was my 3rd attempt at finding this cache, the first two times were very dry under foot but in light of all the recent rain there was quite a few pools of water lying about I'm happy to say.
It truly is a beautiful area and i love that it's "tucked away". Sadly this cache is in need of some repair as the inside is wet and virtually empty but for some "used" items and 2 wrapped items.
Embi, we are honoured to be your friend and i know we would have loved bec just as much

7th of 7 attempts today in the Ballarat area. Visiting from Pittsburgh, PA, USA and traveling around Victoria. The story behind this one inspired us to look for it. It was definitely off the beaten path and was a very serene area. We looked high and low for the cache for about 30-45 minutes but came up empty. The sunset nearby was beautiful. Thanks for the experience.
Although we didn't have very suitable footwear (This was a take a Niece for a drive in new car turning into a caching expedition and not being suitably dressed type of exercise), we managed to scramble on loose leaves and sticks to find this cache. It appears that the lid of this cache has been attacked by a rodent. Lots of little teeth marks have gnawed a hole in it and is now letting in water. Have returned the cache with hole facing down. Only one parcel was wrapped in tissue paper, so I took that one, and left another wrapped in green shiny paper. (I used the old tissue paper to wrap something else in the cache up) Maybe others can bring extra tissue paper to wrap the other stuff there, if that is ok with Embi. Bring some more snap lock bags too as things are a little damp thanks to the rodent! I have gone gold panning in this area as a young child and have always loved the place.
Given the poignant description for this cache, it was a "must do" for my day in and around Creswick.
This was the last of seven caches for the day--a record for me (even though I failed to find one of them ).
The terrain was indeed challenging, especially as my GPSr was having trouble because of the overhanging tree canopy. However, I located the cache after about 25 minutes of searching.
Unfortunately, the cache contents were wet, and the log book was so damp as to be unusable, despite being in a snap-lock bag--I suspect that the last person didn't zip the bag shut. I put a fresh log book in the cache.
Only one item in the cache was wrapped in tissue paper, and the rest of the items looked a bit bedraggled. I took the yellow packet, and replaced it with a green one.
All in all, a very pleasant experience, and a wonderful, serene location. Just right for the reflection intended. Thanks embi.

Found at 12:30pm. The cache was half full of water after the recent rains, which is nice for the area but not the cache. After drying out the cache as best I could, I replaced it upsidedown so as the water would not collect inside. The rain is most welcome and I see the are is thankful for it was showing it with fresh green growth. My swap has been a pair of scissors out for an octopus toy in.
My girlfriend and I had been here the day before searching out a camping spot. Didn't realise this was where this cache was.
Found the area really fast but I couldn't get a good lock for a position on my GPS. Reset it a few times still it jumped around. This was my girlfriends 1st time looking for a cache so really wanted to find it. After 45 mins decided to call the ever helpful Muzza helpline. He had to search his memory bank on where exactly this cache was. Gave me a general idea and we started searching again. 15 mins later I found it.
Sadly the whole container was full of water. Every gift was water logged. Happy to say the log book was in a plastic bag and dry. Cleaned out the container, had to get rid of the soggy paper and put all the gifts in a plastic bag. I'd bought a yellow tissue wrapt gift so I left this in another plastic bag and took a pink gift.
This area must be beautiful when the river has water in it and the trees aren't so dry. Thank you Embi this is a lovely location for Bec's cache. A hidden treasure.

Dusk fell as we arrived, running late like we all do in life sometimes.
Flat batteries in 2 Gps's and one torch between two searchers ! Not a good night for a find, but enough light was there, that we could see the special meaning of this beautiful place.
I lost my sister 4 months after Bec, to the same ravaging illness,I feel for you Embi, I know just how these events tear into your soul.
I am sure your princess is in a beautiful place.
I will return, and honour your special place..God bless.
You will always be there
The rays of light filtered through the sentinels of trees this morning.
I sat in the garden and contemplated.
The serenity and beauty of my feelings and surroundings completely captivated me...
I thought of you.
I discovered you tucked away in the shadows of the trees.
Then rediscovered you on the smiles of the flowers as the sun penetrated the petals...
In the rhythm of the leaves falling in the garden...
In the freedom of the birds as they fly searching as you do.
I'm very happy to have found you.
Now you will never leave me, for I will always find you in the beauty of life.

What a lovely cache this was. The day was warm, the skies sunny and clear, and the area all around was cool and peaceful. An ideal location for such a memorial cache. I've never met Bec, but anyone would be proud of such a cache in their honour.
Having found it, I took a gift wrapped in pink, and left another wrapped in orange. My thanks to Bec for the cache, and to Mark for setting it up.

A perfect day to visit this beautiful and touching place. We spent a few minutes by the pool listening to the birds and admiring the wildlowers before swapping gifts and departing. We met Liz and Bruce, who found the cache minutes before us, in the picnic area. It was great to meet up with some fellow cachers and we spent a little time sharing experiences. Thanks Mark. Greg and Bev
Even though we didn't know Bec and Mark this was a special one for us and we got to this wonderful place on a perfect morning with the sun filtering through the trees. We sat at the pool a while and contemplated life in general. We took a pink parcel ane left a rose paper parcel. We really enjoyed our chance meeting with Greg and Bev - Bruce and I had hoped that might happen somewhere along the way as it is nice to exchange experiences. Thanks Mark and I hope we get to meet you one of these days.
What a wonderfully peaceful place.
Through tears we struggled to read the previous cachers' comments. We never got to meet Bec but felt like she must have been a very special person. So many people have spoken so highly of her. It felt like she was watching over this peaceful place. I hope to meet her someplace else one day.
Thanks for this different and thoughtful cache. We exchanged a blue package for a pink package. It was wonderful to see that EVERYONE had followed this tradition unique to Bec's cache.
Also left a frog to keep the 2 dogs company.
And also took Bear Memories to meet some friends and continue on his travels.
Team Frogger, Farmor and Francis (their first cache)

Hounddog retrieved it and SNIFTER marvelled at the host of pretty packages. So many to choose from but we decided that we would take the Floral paper and the Gold paper. In the floral one we found a beautiful crystal vase and in the gold one some smelly soap and a scrunchy. What a wonderful memory. We left 1 blue and 1 purple. Also left a TB.

It rained.............. We cached...............
Our First caches were found in the rain and We thought it wwas fitting that we looked for this one today. The rain covered our tears.
How ironic- Mark and Bec done most of their Geocaching and night, We left at 4pm and we were out there till dark.

Met the wanderers towards evening in the rain, and we found the cache together above a pool of water. Did not take or leave anything.
Returned the next day in the sunshine and exchanged gifts. I got a pack of kids band-aids. What a beautiful spot for this special cache.
The more i got to know Bec, the more i learnt how kind and caring a person she was, always smiling and enjoying life. A very good friend to Mark, someone she loved dearly.
In rememberence of Bec.
Burnie.

Thanx Embi

Dearest Bec,
Dappled sunlight kissed the bracken fronds, and illuminated ancient rocks wearing an overcoat of moss and lichen. The only sounds were the sighing of the breezes stirring the gum leaves and festoons of bark, and the gurgling of the creek as it danced over the stones nearby. We sat for a while as tears welled in Mary's eyes. Thank you Mark, for finding this beautiful place and for the privilege of sharing it and memories of Bec with us all. The area will soon be covered in wildflowers. We left a small crystal vase, and unwrapped our pick, which was a little flower-shaped glass candle holder.
Not Good Night
But in some brighter clime
Bid me good morning
Mary & David, 1215.
