Full time Nomads, travelling around Australia since 2014. With torrential rain this morning we stayed home until after lunch. Then out pottering around the suburbs picking off a few more AdLabs. With very little sunshine spotting any hanging or fishing caches had a higher difficulty than normal today.TFTC TheSkype
Out and about finding some caches on a beautiful sunny day. Thanks to my new geocaching friend for bringing us here.
Trying to avail as many cobwebs as possible I made my way to the fence line and quickly spotted the hide. Here for the maga. TFTC
As per usual I found a way to make this harder than it needed to be. Bit got there with pup in tow anyway.
I was at an event at the nearby dog club so dropped by to pick up the cache. Thanks
Found It!
There was a crowd of people at the track today but couldn't see any dogs racing.

#8422 A quick find after a meeting at Geoscience. Another quick find.
Thanks TheSkype
Thanks TheSkype
A winter find!
Not as scared of snakes as I would have been if I attempted in summer
We could hear barking coming from the ex racecourse

Quick find with Baristayan…I wonder what they’re gonna do with this place now? Thanks for the cache!

It always great to be out in our great outdoors, making the most of the weather hail rain or shine, and enjoying the variety of caches in offer.
Thanks to TheSkype for putting out and maintaining this cache for our enjoyment!

Quick find with SecretSquirrel-BJC this morning. Cache appears to have gone up in the world. Good to see the log sheet has been replaced after our find.
This needs urgent maintenance as the log book is wet and I couldn't sign the log book
Was in the area doing some Christmas shopping and took the opportunity today to swing by to the Canberra Grayhounds site. The grass was over chest height to it felt a bit dodgy, but found the cache without any hassle. Log was wet though. Glad it wasn't the height of summer and the snake risk at this location.
Cheers

Quick find on our way through to Narrabundah to check out a second-hand bike for our GrandSon. Good view of the grounds from here! TFTC TheSkype.
Pa was coming into town this afternoon so it was a quick trip out to this side of town to grab the required 8 caches for my calendar this morning. At first neither Sam(sung) nor Monty#2 wanted to be cooperative but I didn't end up needing them. As I walked back towards where I guessed the cache should be, I noticed it sparkling up at me. There was a muggle in the nearby enclosure and we had a good chat about his lovely grey hound after he had commented "that's a good spot for that thing you signed over there". He seemed to have seen others there before me. Yes it was a good hide thanks TheSkype. SL
This was a bit of an ordeal given the long grass and warming day, but I gritted my teeth and made my way to the cache

No trouble parking here on the way home from Callum Brae. The grass is certainly riz but cache all good. TFTC
Headed over to Narrabundah for a bit caching and walking. Parked at the shops and after a grabbing a couple of other caches walked down here. Didn't take long and soon spotted the cache and had my name of the log. Cache replaced and it off around the corner for the next one.
Thanks TheSkype....a good morning out with a couple of k's walked for good measure.

Out and about doing a couple caches today, decided to grab these 3 as they were close to where I wanted to go. No issues with the hide, signed and replaced.

Another cache that caused me grief. First I was a little worried about the long grass but it is pretty well trampled near GZ. Second I was expecting it to be attached to the fence, so it was a surprise to find it loose on the ground - I should have checked the more obvious spot first. TFTC.
After making the morning commitments I had, I made the trip over to Canberra to attend the ‘20 Year Anniversary and Christmas Event - hosted by Oz Mega Committee’. After my however long trip with included a quick stop off at ‘Gold Creek Macca’s’, I was the first to arrive at the event, other than the hosts. After greeting them and signing the unique log-sheet, again first, I met up with the other attendees as they arrived. From there, the games begun… lots of unique puzzles, repeats of others and of course our train rides. Lots of yummy food from the canteen and a great cake for dessert. It was then time to do some geocaching along the way home. These caches started with the closest to the event and eventually further away. It was then time to hit the road for my trip home. TB visit on all caches. I would like to thank all CO’s of the caches I found and for allowing them to bring me and others enjoyment. TFTE & TFTC’s

Long grass made this a little more difficult than it should have been. But plenty of people have been here recently by the looks of the smooshed greenery.
Couldn't sign as my pen somehow came undone in my pocket, with the ink section apparently falling out -____- So here is a photo of the cache to confirm the find

#10154 - 11:40:00 AM; Dropped the geohoney for some retail therapy and set off in search of a dinosaur and a souvenir. Picked up a couple of bonus caches along the planned route, including this one. Rummaged through the long grass before checking the obvious spot to make the find. TFTC TheSkype
Another weekend and another day of caching with GreyHams, Issacs Ridge was the focus of our days outing. Callum Brae and Symonston held a few smaller pockets of other yet to be found caches, puzzles solved since the last visits or just waiting for the time to get around to getting to them... which we did this day!
A slightly different approach this time with putting a car at each end of the ridge. A short detour up into Mount Mugga Mugga Nature reserve first, an area thought to have been cleared out but GH found a sneaky puzzle hiding in there. Our warm up walk before the assent onto Issacs, although the approach was good coming from a high point.
A good part of the morning spent walking along the ridge with the occasion shift downwards for the odd cache as we passed. It's been a lot of visits up here over many years for the caches as puzzles have been solved. Some came easily but others needed hints or time to see the in. No doubt there are others hidden still or yet to come!
Once off the ridge and back to the car a detour for some well earnt lunch and then back for a few of the little pockets in the area. Many thanks for your cache The Skype which helped lead our way through the day, a lovely Autumn day perfect for walking and an enjoyable day out.
An easier find with the cache found out and opened on its camo, we did though replace as intended but appreciated the ease after a long day of hills!

After being cooped up all week with work it was that time again today for some fresh air, although maybe a little too fresh. Finished off a trail then headed back into town and collected a few more new ones before heading home to the warmth.
Quick find here, log was a little damp but managed to get our chicken scratchings in the log.
Thanks for the hide TheSkype

I was heading to work after dropping family at the airport and an appointment in Queanbeyan, so I thought a quick turn off and I could come here.
Thankfully no one was around which helped make a quick find and sign. Luckily there was space as the log is very full. Tftc!!!

Found a few caches around the around the dog clubs this afternoon to get the 'Fun in all directions' souvenir (02/02/2020 palindrome date). Parked nearby and made a quick find once at GZ. I remember going to a greyhound race here many years ago when I was a little boy. TFTC TheSkype.
After a meeting in town I was up for a short caching outing south side. Identified this pocket of unfound caches as a good spot. Quite hot today and very! Windy (50km/h) It felt scarry you could see how in such wind and heat no fire could by anthing. Very frighning knowing that it this stage the fire in Pilliagro was buring.

On my way back after circumventing the minuature train this was only a short few meters of a sidetrip. Quick find, all in good order.
Thank you TheSkype for putting the cache out and maintaining it.

On a semi clear day we decided to head out and find some caches. We don't normally come to this part of town, but we had planned to do some shopping near by so thought we would grab a few finds.
Thank you

Easy find on a horribly smokey day, not liking the heat but loving an easy cache to find. TFTC
Was reminded here of some pleasant evenings spent at Wentworth Park in Sydney watching the dishlickers run around. Now this place is a dusty ghost town and the dogs are licking their dishes in their happy place. Tftc.
