A slight detour on the way home fomr the Snowy Mountains to find a few extra caches for the tally. Love these detours!Cheers
Out and about with barb2e for a spot of caching. It's a cold morning and at one cache it seemed like it was going to rain, but then it held off. We decided to collect caches along a stretch of road a bit out of they way of usual passing through routes. We searched for quite a while - careful to not maim ourselves. I can't believe Europeans thought it was a good idea to import Hawthorn into Australia - as if there wasn't enough stuff here to poke or bite you. Anyway - lots of hidey-holes, but no cache. TFTC
Did not appreciate the pokey trees nearby. But easy enough to build up the find count. TFTC!Cache 8 of 35Day 2 of 3 Oz Geobash - Caching with @itsonlybarney, @TeamPQS and @JustWanderingAbout
**Total find count: 1372**It's GeoBash Mega weekend!! And nothing better than going geocaching around the nation's capital! for high favourite caches! This would be a nice little trail if the trees were not so thorny at this time of year. But easy enough to build up the find count. TFTC!
We have this afternoon just spent our most frustrating time ever Geocaching, all of this Lolly Series is in SERIOUS need of maintenance or needs to be archived, majority are either not there, logs are waterlogged, overgrown with thorn bushes you can't get near them or the grass is completely overgrown. TFTC JENPETEH, The H,s , South Africans living in Tassie GeoCaching our way around Australia and loving it , except for this series.
#884 Turtle and I decided to venture out to Bungendore today to hopefully clear out the area. In total I picked up 30 finds so it was a fairly positive outing.
After skipping a few unsafe parking spots for some more choc caches it was time to grab our last lolly find for the day. Stopped off here and made a quick find before aiming to head home, it was getting late and we needed to try and be home before we lost all light. Thanks ALL7

Out on an afternoon run with LuckyL10n and this was our next stop. No issues and the cache was soon in hand. Log signed and we were off to the next one.
Thanks again ALL7....cache all good.

Found during a day out to increase numbers so we're hitting as many power trails as we can TFTC.
We decided we needed a change of scenery for exercise today, so we loaded Saf's bike on the back of the car, and drove out to do some of the caches out here. Chris ran while Saf rode the bike - 3 hours and just under 20km, with 29 of 30 caches found. Such a lovely area! Signed some as Saf+Chris, and some as S+C. Didn't leave any goodies since most of the containers had water in them. All were easy finds - once we got past the prickles and head-high grass! Thanks to the CO for putting them out.
Sui_001 messaged me and told me he was looking for some more numbers before the end of the year, and asked if I had any ideas! Told him about the many trails around this area which he thought looked good!
I noticed there was a triangle section of ALL7 lolly caches that I hadn't found either, and I had been waiting to find someone who also hadn't done them so I wouldn't have to alone! I had to work in the morning so Sui started on other trails before I met up with him to do this section
All caches were found relatively quickly and in good condition, noted that only misty was the only finder since the maintenance trip, so we chose a great time to do this trail now that it is fresh again! Only had 1 DNF due to thick thorny bushes and knee height grass, I am sure it is hidden somewhere but the area has obviously changed a bit since the series has been placed and everything is overgrown!
Thanks ALL7! Managed 46 finds in about 1.5 hours! We worked out it was a cache every 2.1 minutes, a mammoth effort!

I assisted ALL7 on a maintenance run with codawives, finding the cache, checking the condition, replacing logs and/or cache where required. All good to go. Thanks for the find
Had a good cache hunting day today with goingplaces2 and had a fairly good success rate. Logs were signed and all were replaced as found. TFTC.
We headed out for a country drive today with ilook4geo after camping nearby for the night and we found most of the caches we were looking for. Each log had two more names added somewhere on the sheet. Thank you ALL7 for placing so many caches to be found around this area.
TFTC our and about collecting some drivebys to get the numbers up. Blustery cold winters day, starting to rain but still a way to go...
High and dry is good.

We had a most enjoyable day of caching around Bungendore. The weather just perfect and the scenery so green and beautiful. Yours was one of the caches we targetted and found. Thanks to ALL7 for arranging this cache and adding to our enjoyment of the area.

On a caching mission with AngelG27, Fox in Jox and Flinstone's with the goal to find 250+ in a day to qualify for a challenge cache in the US we are planning to find. Mostly All7 trails in NSW surrounding the ACT. Apologies for a generic log. All caches found easily, unless specifically stated otherwise. TFTC.

Cache 5917 on 22 Feb 2020.
Today is a challenge day for TikvaNZ, Fox in Jox, Flintstones and myself - we are aiming for 270+ caches in one day - a big ask! We are hitting a number of power trails around the ACT, mainly ALL7 and DSD caches. With 4 in the car, the jobs of driving, navigation and cache finding will be rotated around all of us. Unless otherwise indicated, caches found easily and in line with the hint.
Thanks ALL7 for the cache and the fun!

We are doing a car caching day around Canberra with AngelG27, TikvaNZ and Fox in Jox. The challenge, to find 270+ in a day. Starting bright and early we are hitting mainly power trails from ALL7 and DSD which have been dominating my map as green for a while now. will be yellow now.
Thank you ALL7 for the cache and thank you AngelG for driving. Signed with stamp of the day or as TAFF.

The weather disturbed our caching plans so we looked locally to see how we could amuse ourselves. ALL7’s trails have been on our to do list for a while, so we collected Rapidlywild and headed east for a spot of chocolate tasting. The showers of rain didn’t deter us, our timing was good and we were able to collect between the misty rain. We found the caches in good order, managed to find all that came across our path. The traffic was constant in some places, so we had to be alert before pulling off to the side.
Thanks, Rapidlywild for another great day out in the fresh air. Thanks for the placements ALL7.

So todays original plans were cancelled due to unwelcoming weather where we wanted to go... So the FFLL ladies and myself had a whole day with no plans.... right, out to do some more ALL7 trails we go. It was nice and cool with the occassional shower going over. Wonderful day out on the country roads. Picked up 111 caches today before we decided to head on home.

Found on a huge day out with sebass14. Despite some smoke around, we took advantage of the somewhat cooler conditions. Our main goal for today was the smash out the "Lollies" series plus any other nearby ones until it was time to go home. First cache was found at about 11am and we finished the series at about 3:30pm, with lunch at Bungendore in between, so it was a very successful mission. Then went on to find some more caches before heading home - all in all, 54 caches for the day! All caches, unless stated otherwise, were easy to park at, were easy finds and were all in good condition. I loved the theme of this series; and especially loved how a lot of containers were M&M containers - very appropriate! Some caches were actually very cleverly hidden and very well placed. The area was beautiful to drive through and the sights of the flat, bare lands were very majestic, despite the very dry grass. TFTC ALL7! BTW, this cache should definitely not be disabled - the cache is there and in fine condition; the only major difference is that the hint is no longer applicable.
Early start for Wazza9 and I to cache before the heat, plenty of smoke to breath in. Found 98 today with 2 DNF's, completed some maintenance along the trails, adding additional log sheets to containers, replacing some containers for the CO. The temperature reached 46 degrees when we stopped caching and had lunch in Bungendore in the air con. bring on the
I didn't know there were so many different types of lollies. Most were quick finds, some a few meters away, stamped the log and replaced. A big thanks to the CO for placing these trails & caches.

Tftc,
No problems here. We found it OK.
Today's 98 finds will place me a little under 800 away from making 10,000 finds at 10 years of Geocaching on the 28th May 2020.
A decision was made to have a go at this and after all that has been achieved this year, there is still 5 months to get there and a few Power trails will help.
The placement of all were good when you do the caches on the side of the road in the direction you are traveling.

Despite a good search, this one wasn't to be found.
Besides, the "odor-de-death" was a major player in not spending a great deal of time here!

#9635 - 11:48:00 AM; A hastily arranged mission with albida33 to clear out the 'lollies' series of caches around Hoskinstown which we had on our 'to do' lists. Enjoyed fabulous weather and managed to find all caches in good condition, signing logs as LL and a33 as we went. A couple of the caches had quite full logs, although there were a couple of others where I think the log will outlast both the cache and the CO too!. TFTC ALL7

Out for a long overdue day of caching with McPhan - a drive in the country on a sunny day and looking forward to morning tea at a café in Bungendore. There are more caches in these trails than we could possibly hope to do in a leisurely run, so we began by taking our time and having some laughs. Thanks ALL7.
Out for a drive with Decrypter finding caches. Some of these caches were beyond the range of my bulk load on my Garmin. Fortunately Decrypter had his phone, although he didn't always have reception. But we managed. This one took a bit of searching. TFTC ALL7.
Back to complete more of the series. It really got cold later this afternoon. Thank you for the series - shake shake Brrrrrrrrr.
Back out again this afternoon to do some more caching. The wind has picked up to make it a cold and miserable afternoon. A quick find, thanks ALL7.
Finally catching up on logging caches that I had missed logging when we were in Australia. After arriving in rain yesterday it was good to see the sun, albeit cold day for some of our team. Thank you for putting out these caches. We are on a numbers run today.
Signed KCC or KC for Kiwi Caching Chicks (Infoferret, Jude_E, NosyNel, thedbees, Graciesgpsfun and me) who are Australia for the OzMuster. We are now on a road trip for 7 days. TFTC

The kiwichicks have started working on the captain's series as part of an epic cache run which saw some of us grabbing over 180 caches on a bitterly cold day. We diverted from the Captains' trail at this point to search out candy.
Found as part of the Kiwichicks in an epic numbers run day. I was in the car with Nosynel and Jude E. When I signed the log it was written as Kiwichicks (Very occasionally KC if space was limited). The other group (Ethness, thedbees & Graciesgpsfun) signed the caches as KCC, Some caches along this route will have both sets in as the cars visited them at different times.
However, I am only claiming the ones where I participated in the search. TFTC.

Today three of us - Infoferret, Nosynel and Jude_e, have the goal of finding 180 caches. We started at about 5.45am, finished about 8pm. Thanks for your trail. Sometimes I signed as KCC NZ and other times we signed as kiwi chicks - depended who had the pen! Thanks for the cache.
Out and about aroud Canberra caching with the KCC team. A great little trail along here with tonnes of caches and a lovely pub lunch at the end.

Thanks ALL7 for placing this geocaches 7352 find for me. We six stayed in Canberra last night. Today is all about numbers. We are setting a challenge to see how many we can find on a day. We started out at 5:47am. 6am was the time we filled the car with juice. We changed the driver 3 times.
The time has finally arrived for a massive Australian road trip with The Kiwi Chicks. We are GraciesGPSfun , thedbees , Ethness, Infoferret , Jude_E and me Nosynel. We might sometimes sign the geocaches as KCs or TKCs.
Sadly there was no large event in New Zealand in 2019 but there are a few Mega events planned in Australia. New Zealand will have another large event in 2020 in Auckland.
======== NZ Mega 2020 ========
Planning for the NZ Mega 2020 event is well underway. It will be held in Auckland over Labour Weekend, 23 to 26 October 2020. Thanks for hiding this geocache.

You know you're a cacher when you're willing to drive for hours to find a few small containers, just to leave your name within.
It was 10°C outside, and felt colder with the sun fully up. I know it's going to get colder soon. Yet I'm prepared to sleep in the car to find some long caching trails this weekend.

Ah it was a Sunday and what better thing to do then escape for a little caching with geo buddy StrangeTrousers and go find a cache with the same name as my furry hound "Rocky". It was a tad on the chilly side but nice enough on a hop in and out of the car for the adventure. One of the highlights was using our team stamp for the first time - Kayak Cachers to log our finds. Yet again love where caching takes me.

A lovely, sunny winter's arvo of caching with my usual geopartner CBRChic. Today we headed out to find the fabled "Rocky" cache, named after CBRChic's favorite fur-child: Rocky the boxer. It was very scenic out on Captain's Flat today, with almost no breeze and clear conditions. Only one miss today.

No luck tonight. Too many branches tearing at me and too little protection to persue this further. My torch wasn't very strong either so I'm leaving this now and will revisit it in daylight.

Day six in Queanbeyan - Anzac Day, so we headed out of town to avoid all the closed streets.
BettyBoo3747 and I started with a pile of lollies, then morning tea at Bungendore, then continued with the last 50 of the Tarago Series.
A very productive and lovely day.
We could feel the sugar hit the further we drove up the road, but not one lolly did we see! (apart from in the Bakery at Bungendore!)
We discussed which lolly was next in the trail, and the names we knew them by.
A good series of caches in good condition.
Thanks, Robmc.

#15533. Anzac Day 2019. We will remember them!
Day 6 of our 2 weeks holiday in the ACT and surrounds. We are staying at Carwoola.
We decided to head to the lovely countryside past here and out towards Captains Flat and Bungendore to avoid the road closures. The changing poplar trees and slightly greening paddocks with the surrounding mountains made for some beautiful scenery. It ended up being a big day with 103 finds.
Once more we are finding the size "Small" a bit difficult to deal with as most of the vials etc we would certainly call a "Micro" back in Victoria. Thankfully the hints helped a lot.

Attending the Clear Water 2019 mega this Easter in Queanbeyan. Apologies for the generic log but we have found too many to compose individual logs. Many thanks to all the cache owners for their caches, which have been exceptional in their maintenance I have had only 1 dnf and that was only because I was not going to make a tree climb without seeing where the cache was. The vast majority of caches have had very good coordinates. Along with useful hints. TFTC

We realised the effort that goes into placing and maintaining a series like this, we don't mean to belittle the effort at all with cut and paste logs(we really appreciate it) but when you find so many so quickly to remember what was what for each one to write a log just doesn't seem to happen

Found while out and about with a group of cachers. We decided to cache in this rich rural area today.
Venturing around Canberra while attending the Mega. A days caching with caching friends and the log signed as Team Brolga. Due to the numbers I am doing a generic log, however I do appreciate each individual cacher for their caches and the locations. Well done. TFTC
The lolly isle wouldn't be complete without heading back toward the way we came. We were rewarded with a nice easy find with Gonefishen07, Zobo04, Team Crackers, Alansee, Muzza, The Drovers, Phetlern and au.fait. Signed log as The Crazy 9. TFTC ALL7.

I was in Queanbeyan with my boyfriends family, As I've not cached before, I signed some logs of the caches I found with XC, until I came up with my caching name.
I had lots of fun, met some nice people and found some great hides.
Thanks for placing the cache for us to find.

Visiting Canberra for the Clear Waters Mega and caching as part of Team Brolga. Thoroughly enjoying the whole Canberra experience, the glorious weather and the beautiful countryside, so different from the coast. Thank you for placing, copy and paste logs in no way detract from my enjoyment and appreciation.
