Not having our best day today. Like albida33, we had an idea what we might be seeking, but were ready to look for anything. Searched our indicated GZ, and an expanded area around it, but couldn't find anything. Our thanks anyway to drobbonz.
Bathurst trip October 2022. Day 1. I heard there was to be a Community Celebration Event in Bathurst on Tuesday, so I planned on a two day camping caching trip to join in. Rain threatened both days but only fell a few times, except overnight when it seemed to rain all night. The trip was Canberra, Cowra, Bathurst, Millthorpe, Orange, Bathurst and home again via Cowra. I managed lots of caches and enjoyed the trip away.
The next group of caches was around the Duntry golf course and I found all but one of those I attempted. There is work on new gates going on, but I cannot see how that would impact a cache where my phone said to look, but I failed to locate it. I seemed clear what I was looking for, but I may well have made a wrong assumption.
Thanks.
Albida

An unexpected public holiday was the reason for a long weekend in the area of Orange.
Today we decided to explore the wider area of Orange, and of course I had to pick up a few caches along the way.

Travelling from TAS. Here for three nights, mostly to chase solved caches. What better thing to do on a bleak July day with a max. 5 degrees ? Out again this afternoon, and have made our way around the precinct to end up here. Had a fairly decent look and grope around without a result, moved on to two others in the series and came back after considering the clue and a previous post or two. Had the little bugger in hand quickly, bag completely wrecked but we had a new one. Waterproof paper can always be dried off with geo-towel in our caching kit. Thanks for another clever one, and have another favourite drobbonz !

School holidays are over and time to do some caching!
Heading Mudgee/Dubbo/Orange areas looking to find some.
Thanks to the owners for the hides we find on our trip.

Up at Orange for a couple of days to see family. While I waited for them to get organised I had some time to kill so I thought I would collect these three in an area I had visited on a previous trip.
Last one for this group. Drove up and parked near the shed. Based on the hint knew what to look for and it was a quick find. Given the hide type the log is very wet but lucky this paper is writeable.

Camping at the Showgrounds. Bathurst Dat 2
Later in the day we found a few caches around the town area.
This was a good way to tour the area. A good variety of hides & caches found.
Thankyou drobbonz for placing this cache.

Daughter and I came out to Orange for an overnight pub stay. We brought the bikes, knowing there were parks and trails around the place. This one took a little while to find as the app took a while to decide to point to the correct spot. Tftc.
What does a geocaching orienteerer do with a free morning? Goes geocaching of course. The Duntryleague series was the first of the chosen caches and it was an enjoyable walk with a variety of hides to keep the mind ticking over.
The cache was quickly spotted, don't know if it is supposed to be so exposed but I left it as found.
Thanks for the cache and the series drobbonz.

I often like to think I keep y mind out of the gutter. Not so this time, I drained a fair bit of time on this one before working out where I needed to look. Wait, I'm on a golf course and so is a suburb?

On a trip to Dubbo for a long weekend away from Canberra. It's been a while since I've managed a geo-trip so it's good to be on the road again. It's also very hot, days on the mid 30's are hard going. First stop is Cowra, then Canowindra, Molong and Wellington. I returned via Orange and Crookwell for a bit of variety.
Interesting container.
Thanks drobbonz

While 2020 was personally and professionally challenging and then you add in a pandemic, 2021 had a lovely start with an event and a few caches along the way. Hopefully the theme for this year will be good laughs and good health.
Although NRC and my original SA plans may have been shutdown by the border closures, we decided to venture out anyway into our immediate backyard of NSW and pick up some counties and some much needed R&R.

After a huge 2020 it seemed only right to have 2021 start off with a smile. So with SA and VIC plans on hold once again, we decided to join the local New Year’s Day event and then head off north west to find some more counties for K8TYBEE. The event was so fun we stuck around for some team caching! Finally on the road we swung by here to grab a cache. Master plan is to hit Grenfell, Orange and swing back to Parkes
So cold!!! Such a surprise after the warmth of the car. K8TYBEE for the win on this clever little cache. Great way to mark another county in the bag for her today!

Nice find when staying at Duntryleague overnight. Thanks drovbomz for the find
Quick find while on a stroll to break the drive. Favourite for the series here. Tftc
Quick find in the cold & wet. There were still a few die hards on the course this morning. TFTC.
This was another quick find of a container we more or less expected.
Thanks again drobbonz.
Thanks again drobbonz.
A quick and easy find. It was interesting to see the back side of Duntryleague. SL TFTC
A big day of caching between Orange and Wellington and back. Great weather, able to squeeze in a parkrun as well and caches were all found straight forward.

#316 Here for the ANFD 2019 at Borenore and knocked over a couple of caches for an afternoon walk. Always enjoy these innovative containers/hides in places of interest. As with the previous one down the hill, did a double take. Go with the gut instinct. TFTC
Parking was a bit of a problem today with the number of golfers on the course. Doesn't anyone in Orange work full-time? TFTC drobbonz.
TFTC drobbonz. Despite the large number of people playing golf today the area where we found the cache was pretty quiet.
Out with KoolKats today grabbing a few caches. Sneaky hide, lucky I had long tweezers to retrieve log, log very wet.
Found it. The course is very dry & my tweezers were too short to retrieve the log. I took a photo.

A lot easier to find than I was expecting it to be.
Took longer to put it back with all the muggles walking along the road.

Hatzofff and I are in Bathurst for a few weeks house sitting, and of course have time for lots of caching.
A quick trip to the Orangeairport was necessary this morning, so an unplanned day in Orange.
Good. Just as expected.
Log signed and replaced on May 28, 2019 at 1:58 PM. TFTC, drobbonz.

Out with RoddyC today taking our host to Orange for a flight to Sydney. Thought we had better cache today while here.
Quick easy find. Log is fine but moisture in bag.

Something stood out as probably not being supposed to be there. Cache retrieved, log signed and then onwards to the next.
A familiar place to find a cache
I've done a lap of the links before chasing caches galore
Today I was back to play around again,
and find a couple of new caching holes on the course.
Lots of empty cars parked here today,
there must be a tournament on.
Or maybe it was just that this is a popular golf course on any day ?? [:o]
Like being back at skool again,
I snuck around behind the shed,
and finally had this cache smoked

Last full day in Orange with megawat60 before we head East to Sydney. We saw the FTF icon come up on the map but did not hold much hope as we were further north still. Swung back on the way “home” and very happy for an Orange *FTF*. Thanks drobbonz for this cache and a nice memory of Orange!
