Did not find anywhere, looks as if there has been some logging here maybe it got removed?
No luck today. I wasn’t able to spend as much time looking as I would have liked. It’s a great area for a walk/ run, and I’ll definitely be back
Really went all out commando looking for this one - crawling through bushes but absolutely no luck - maybe my gps is off? Or maybe it’s gone, not sure
We were on the other side of the river, and briefly thought about using the rock crossing, but there was a lot of water flowing through, the rocks looked slippery, and some of the gaps seemed a bit wide, and we thought better of it. Drove around to Burke Street and saw the Temple. What an amazing place. Made our way to GZ and searched for quite a while with no luck. Add us to the growing list of DNFs. May need an owner check. Our thanks anyway to shack1961.
I've found this geocache last year and went looking for it again but the drop down to where it was was very steep and didn't want to risk it. Also after the floods I'm not sure if it's in the same place anymore. Thank you for placing the geocache though!!!
Took the geo-pup for an adventure along the Maribyrnong River to pick up some caches.

It’s a good place but it’s filled with cobwebs on the outside please come and clean it
Lovely quiet spot along the track. Once the GPS settled I quickly had the cache in hand .

"Bridge" across the river was a fun adventure. With a few muggles also trying to find the best way over. Nice and simple cache to find
Took a while to find because we couldn't navigate the map . Great to do as an activity with friends. Thanks it was really fun!
Finally managed to find an afternoon to explore shack1961 territory! After a delay in the loop due to a police operation at Southern Cross station, I got off the train at Albion station and rode clockwise along the beautiful Maribyrnong river, aiming to end up at Footscray station.
This was the first cache for today - that development that is overshadowing GZ is MASSIVE!!!
Found in good shape - nice paint job (no longer a sistema but a tablet screwtop)

I'm lucky to occasionally work in this area and always love making the stop here. The last few times over been here were in the middle of winter when the rocks were quite slippery. So, being a lovely summer's day, today was the day to grab this cache!
A quick look while my coworker was taking photos of the beautiful birdlife around here and the logbook was soon in hand.
Thanks for the cache!

TFTC! A great afternoon out caching! Managed to have no DNFs but certainly was challenged!
Great rock crossing! Thanks for planting the geocache. Might need to update from a sister mista. Cheers
Looked all around the rocks near the vehicle swing gate but nothing. Given size and difficulty rating and lots of rain recently, the owner might need to check on it. Thanks
With the string of DNF’S at this one….I’d say it’s been muggled, as it’s not a difficult find at all…
So I’ll disable this until I can get down there.
I have a few to check out.
Cheers,
Sharon

Spent a cumulative half an hour searching for this gosh darn thing. Gonna keep an eye out for any finds!
Awesome spot! Try rock hopping across the river when the water is low…great spot for a mini adventure
Thanks for placing a lovely cache in one of Melbourne's best secret locations (next to the 'troll bridge')
The weather today was much better than originally forecast. I had cut my camping trip short so as not to pack up in the rain, only to find blue sky and sunshine.
Wowsers. There is some serious construction going on here. A huge number of high density apartments look complete with another development nearby.
Found the cache quite quickly and signed the log.
Thanks shack1961 for the cache.

What a great spot. The cache was easily found and was able to open, sign and return quickly even with muggles making lots of noise on the nearby rocks. The rock bridge was very cool and had a lot of kids playing on it. Cool spot.

Another few miles under the belt to get over here to do these caches & what should I find but another shack rock. Thanks, I had to take this one too, but left one of mine in its place as well as a TB. No sign of the McTurtle TB however️Thanks for bringing me here & TFTC!0
I did something new today.
Instead of finding a few caches near home i made good use of the public holiday and ventured West.
This wasn't the first of my finds here today. More like one of the last as the rain sent me packing.
Picked up a trackable here. Something i don't normally do but the Team 2006 Commonwealth games logo made me do it.
In 2006 i was one of the hundreds of Smurfs that volunteered for the Commonwealth Games. A great accidental experience. I was just hoping to get a few cheap tickets to some events.
In the end i loved the 2 weeks of work. Saw some amazing sportsmen/women doing their thing. Even got to score a gold medal match in the lawn bowls. (snaffled the mat at the end too. Shhh).
We also went to the opening ceremony rehearsal and attend the closing ceremony. A great experience all round.

Out and about with echidna44 for a great day of caching. Really enjoying our walks through these green belts in the area. This was a challenge of a different sort. Not sure which way to tackle this one but we chose the river crossing. Once there it was a quick easy find. Left TB.
What those houseing estate about. Glad I am on my way out. Hate to live like that. Great day after enjoying discovering some very interesting inventions in style and variations and NO DNF's. Thanks shack1961 for a great day of caching

Out with xambo4u, we had a great day with no DNFs, even though quite a few were marvellous gadget caches .
It was raining by now, and we decided to access the cache the hard way!! Once the large rocks had been negotiated, the cache was signed. Thanks shack1961.

A trip into The Burbs was in order today for SorceySal, myself and Bree the geopuppy.
The plan was to do the Valley Lake series and the River Views series doing most of them on foot to give us all a good stretch of the legs on a beautiful Summer's day in the mid20s.
This was one of the first for the day
Thanks for the fun here shack1961

Out for a day of caching with Bogonghazy and Bree the geodog in the suburbs for a change with a few walks on the agenda. A great walk along the river today collecting caches along the way.
Great to see the river running after the recent rains. Thanks shack 1961

Attended the morning tea event that was held in Deer Park this morning.
It was great to catch up with friends that i have not seen for nearly 12 months.
After the event a plan was hatched and i teamed up with ahomburg, beckNmonts and Manfred crocodile to spend the early afternoon finding a few caches around the area.
We headed off towards the Maribyrnong River, found some where to park and met up and then headed off along the walking path.
This was the second one heading along this way and boy look at all of the apartments that are getting built up on the hill along here.
Waited for a couple of muggles and then we soon had this one located and signed, now onto the multi next.
Thanks shack1961 TFTC.

I headed to the event in Deer Park, stopping at a new nearby cache, then some more caching with Alansee after the event. Found without too much trouble.
My thanks for the cache, shack1961.

On a tip off from a fellow cacher..this one appears to have been muggled. It's getting to be a very popular place with the beautiful steppingstones across the river. I shall disable it and replace the container shortly

Almost stopped myself when I saw the construction, but glad I continued on the path. Tftc
With the ease on restrictions. I am slowly enabling my hides. Encouraging all continue to practise social distancing and above all, sanitising and good hygiene while caching..so that we can continue.
Cheers all and happy caching!

A slight detour because of round works. GLad I parked the bike and decided to walk. Soon after the cache was spotted.

A bit of a maintenance check on this cache has revealed that although they have closed part of the bike track off with temporary fencing due to building construction, the cache is still accessible, it just requires a bit of a scramble down the embankment near the fence.

Very traditional cache find! Had an adventure walking home after this cache being the last one for the day!
Rounding out this series with this last cache off the path. Left a toy car! SL TFTC
My 900th find! I've been slowly edging my way up recently, and after all the inclement weather of the last week; heat, smoke, and rain, the Geomutt needed a good walk. A nice little spot, had to wait for a muggle to move off. That's when the geomutt comes in handy, we can just sit and play while watching in the peripherals for muggles to move. I've had a fantastic time getting to 900, looking forward to the next milestone. Hopefully my 1000th find will be as good as the caches in this series, you've done a brilliant job shack1961!
