I managed to connect with Piggy quite quickly here, he's doing well, no dramas. Found this one as we were killing time before dinner. A great little cache which gets an FP from me, TFTC!
**21,833**We can see why this cache has so many favourite points. Had us scratching our heads for a little while and then woohoo - whats that, oh Doh!! Nice one piggy! Worth another favourite point from us. TFTC
Great wee spot at a favourite beach of mine. Can even get a few waves if wind is right. Took a few mins. Creative cache !
First find of this cache for 2024 brilliant hide thank you! Took awhile but made sense once we stopped and thought about it. Cache is a bit wet and nearly full.
OMG ... what a cool cache, I literally had it in my hands without realising it. once you have found it you will understand what I mean.thanks for this cache, success on our third attempt, finally
Usually come here in the summer for the beach and the really big swing. We're here for a scout camp so came past but the swing has been replaced with a standard one
Almost gave up looking for the cache when I had a revelation and there it was! Great stuff. Fav point from me. TFTC!

Up visiting relations, this and the other cache nearby were two geocaches close by. Dropped down this afternoon while the sun was sorta shinning - yes we did see sunshine - for a quick find. Excellent camo, another FP easily given. Log signed and returned as found. Thanks G-2 for a neat little geocache.
Damn! I spent ages looking for this cache yesterday and was reassured by the CO's comments when he messaged me that I was in the right place. I tried to get back last night after collecting caches at Shakespear Park but it was getting too late.
Despite the bleak and wet outlook when I woke this morning, I headed back out and was A. rewarded with an awesome sunny view and B. the cache, exactly where I had been looking but I did an extra movement today which revealed the hide.
It's only just past 9am and already it's so warm and sunny. What a beautiful spot. I can even see people out swimming! What a lovely lifestyle.
Deserves a Fav for a simply deceiving hide. Well done Glyn and thanks for messaging me yesterday.

Away for the Easter weekend and taking a slow amble from west to east to camp somewhere near Whangaparaoa.
Not having booked, finding a camp site vacancy over the weekend was a bit of a gamble but third attempt lucky!
Which is how I’m in these parts hunting for this cache.
After a brief poke around I tried another option and soon came up trumps.
Thanks G_2

This is one positively inspired bison! Waited until evening when we had a cool time and fewer folk around. Had to laugh when we made the connection. Fave point from us. Cache is all good. TFTC
What a cheeky hide! Found after beachcombing. Have a favourite point because of the clever hide

Fastest find of the day! Great camo. Was expecting a lengthy search as id had an indifferent day of success today. So i was chuffed to find it so quickly. TFTC
We let the kids look for it while having a nice evening barbecue but they came back empty handed. That’s when we decided to give them a hand and found the well hidden bison. Beautiful evening for a picnic. TFTC
A nice quick find thanks. A fav point for the hide. Cheers.
Time for another trip to the North Island for Ms_KR and me. Wellington and beyond here we come. Today we toured around Whangapararoa, Plan B. Plan A was to drive the Ara-Weiti Road, but is only accessible for residents as East Coast Road is CLOSED over that junction.
Thanks to all CO's for publishing and maintaining their caches. Cheers.

Came for a swim but it was windy! Found this interesting cache before we headed somewhere more sheltered. Tftc
Another of those squally showers came on whilst I was here so I armed myself with a raincoat, wow how intelligent! The coast was clear when I searched, lol, and I soon had the right line of enquiry. Extracted the buff fellow and signed the log and replaced. On to the next one just down the beach a bit.
A double pronged geocaching attack on the area North of me; first up was a trip to the wonderful Stillwater and get all those here and there caches that have been previous DNFs or just not attempted as too far off the main trail when my companions haven't liked the diversion option. This was followed by a quick dash to Orewa for one before finishing off out on the Whangaparoa peninsula grabbing random caches here and there. Two dozen was the haul and the day was a combination of blazing sunshine and warmth, and Sou-Wester gusts and torrential rain dropping the temp down to low-double digits, strange weather day. Thanks to all (both?) COs for their placements.

This is quite brilliant. No pen on us today. Hopefully I’ll. E able to borrow one on the way home.
Nise easy find.
I like the way the como looks like it should be there.
If I wasn't geocaching I wouldn't give it a second look.
Thanks for the effort you put in to placing the cach.

I'm out early this morning to get my daily cache and avoid muggles at this popular place. I'm working on a 50 day streak for my GIO licence so just 1 cache per day at the moment. We're off to the South Island for two weeks today so I'm hoping to get a few more caches per day but I'll focus on the special ones. Hopefully I'll get one this afternoon in Queenstown too so I qualify for the North and South Island in a day challenge.
Beautiful views at gz this morning and not many muggles out and about. Another great G-2 hide here. Lucky this cacher didn't need to paf for help, TFTC

Stopped off here this afternoon.Looked in a few places before we finally understood what was required here.A clever cache. Now we know why piggy was struggling to make his call.
Enjoyed doing this cache with inss
Poor piggy cant make a call.
Thank you for the cache

What a fantastic day to be out and about exploring along the coast. Heaps of family groups making the most of it here today as well. That Piggy needs to get with the times and have a mobile in her pocket! TFTC # 16,096
On a geocaching expedition from Nelson. Way back in February Isis58, no.13 and I planned a trip to Auckland for the planned Mega event. When Covid struck and the country went into lockdown we decided to wait and see what happened - - that was less hassle than trying to get refunds on our flights anyway. Well, of course the Mega event was cancelled but luckily for us, flying was an option again by Labour Weekend. We changed some of the details of our trip but decided we would fit in as much caching as we could. We were joined by Mrs SoBad. We visited some amazing places, fitted in some walks, came across lots of people - - lots of traffic too. A huge thank you to the COs for hiding caches which presented us with puzzles to solve, took us to great places, were cleverly camouflaged, were cunningly hidden - - sometimes in plain sight - - all of the above and of course an equal thank you for the ones that just gave us one more smilie. We really really appreciated them all. Thanks !
We may not have found a snake in the grass but one of the INSS had an instant find here. We could see why piggy couldn't make a call but we had no problems signing a log.
Thanks.
Thanks.
Out and about with the Elder Future Finder this afternoon, for some caching Fun on this sunny day. After finding "little green devil" it was back up the beach to the car park and our waiting auto. But, not before we found this one, that is. A muggle was illegally parked near GZ, having his lunch, when we returned to this general area. This meant we had to apply some stealth--though I doubt he was remotely interested in us. We studied a for sale sign and made a show of being interested in the property. Luckily, I found the hide in the first place I checked so our pantomime wasn't a long one. Cheers for the cache placement!
Wow! That was amazing! We were just about to give up and a previous log made us think again - one obvious place leapt into view!! Very clever - have an FP. TFTC
After a series of unsatisfying DNS in the nearby park, we were delighted to come to this gorgeous location by the sea. Obviously lots of people enjoy drinking here and we thought maybe the cache would’ve gone, but then an old log alerted me to the fact that it was hiding in plain sight. My cacher’s brain spotted something out of place and lo and behold I discovered the very clever cache. A definite favourite point for me.
I see why piggy had some difficulty.
Clever hide.
We walk this beach often thanks for the cache.

Took a nice walk to find some caches on the international geocaching day TFTC!
Happy international Geocaching day! Found it during a nice walk on the beach in the evening. Thanks for the cache!
Headed up to Auckland to carry on working on those caches in the northern parts to see if there were a few that I could find before there were too many people about that would make me want to head back home to the quieter parts of the country. It was still well dark when I left as as it was only myself I got to listen to the cricket without Mrs Dragon telling me to change the station, ah bliss.
As I knew I would be early for my real objective, I took a bit of a circuitous route to Wenderholm Regional Park as I wanted to be there early as generally that was when it was quietest and the best light to be out walking in. Signed the caches CD (aka Cats&Dragons) to save space in many of the logs. Managed a grand total of 43 finds for the morning which I was quite pleased with.
Headed back towards Whangapararoa to collect a few that didn't have too many muggles around. Heading back to the car and a last cache here, took a few moments thought then the light bulb went on and the cache was located.
Thank you to all the CO's for their hard work in making this day possible, in both the placing the caches and maintaining them.

Found as a part of a previous group TanjackMüley, aka WanderingSparrow. Now I'm continuing on my own. TFTC
Quicker find. Very cool cache the mugglers will never suspect a thing. Tftc g!
Needing some caches after work, so headed up to Whangaparaoa to check out these recent placements. I was going to suggest Piggies hoofs might be to big to press the buttons, but now I think I see why. A very nice cache, and knocks off one of my last few remaining dot days as well, TFTC
In the area this morning, so came to Stanmore Bay to collect one of the new caches here. Walked to GZ and soon saw what had caused Piggy's call to fail. A nicely themed cache page and hide. Thanks.
We are getting good st these G2 caches, read the description & yes of course, nice ! Another fav ! Great day here on the Pen. TFTC
Piggy may have failed to make the call but we didn't fail to make the find here. Something instantly caught my eye and upon further investigation we discovered just why Piggy couldn't get through. The cache of the day for us, fp given
Heading home from Shakespear park we stopped of to collect these new caches while the weather was warm and sunny. Approached GZ and we immediately spotted something out of place. On closer inspection the cache was revealed. Another fine example of G2 camo and deserving of a FP.
After failing to collect our daily cache at the NSA TAP exclave due to Beligerantz muggle activity I made the journey over to Red Beach to collect Kiwiscot from surf life saving (Dads Taxi Service) and then Stanmore Bay in the hope I may have an easier time here. Skipped reading the cache description (something we do not do too often) as I was in a hurry and hoping for a quick find. Luck not on my side today and after a few minutes searching ended up referring to the mother site. Uh-huh! - great hide in a nice location. Fav point given. Daily cache finally sorted........
Staying with family locally. Decided for a walk and some caches this morning before we head to a wedding. There was a Van parked at the location when I turned up so had to enjoy the view for a bit until the occupants left...as I wandered back to the spot I noticed something that fit the title...found! Nice camo. Tftc
Really loved this one when I finally worked out where to look !
Favourite for sure.....
Can't say any more ..... my lips are sealed......
Excellent!
Thanks G-2 for the fun here today.

That was fun. Saw this one pop up and not too far from work so came down at lunch time for the find. Not been caching since early Feb so nice to break the drought with a ftf. Cheers for the cache at a beach I know very well
