As a once in a lifetime holiday, this year we are traveling for 7 weeks to Vietnam, Bali, Australia and New Zealand. In Australia we meet Ellen Sch and MrVon sr and Ingsve to visit these last two countries, so here we cache together. Now we have solved many caches so we have a large number of solved coordinates. But we are interested in all types of caches, so if you receive a log, it means that we have visited your cache. We haven't quite decided where we're going, but we'll probably let the weather decide for us. We want warmth because in Norway it is now freezing. We will stay for about 2 weeks in Australia and 2 weeks in New Zealand and we will end the trip with the Mega event in Adeleide on 29 February. So thank you very much to all of you who make it possible for us to travel around finding caches. On March 6, we set course for Norway again. There are extremely nice people everywhere and we are welcomed, we thank you very much. Thanks to our cache friends for good company on the trip.

Out on a geocache trip with Ellen Sch , Team Eika and ingsve on holiday in New Zealand, and today it was this area that was prioritized If nothing else is mentioned, we found the cache at good coordinates and it was fine To save space in the log, we often log in with the nickname N4 Many thanks to CO for laying out and maintaining this Greetings from Norway TFTCUte p en geocache-tur med Ellen Sch,Team Eika og ingsve p ferien i New Zealand og idag var det dette omrdet som ble prioritert Hvis ikke annet er nevnt s fant vi cachen p gode koordinater og den hadde det braFor spare plass i loggen logger vi ofte med nick N4Tusen takk til Til CO for utlegg og vedlikehold av denne Hilsen fra Norge TFTC

Cachehilsen fra Ellen Sch, NorgeMe and MrV sr have come down to Australia and New Zealand, -an old dream has finally come to an end. Team Eika and Ingsve have also traveled with us on this trip.We have been traveling cross-country for a month, and the goal is to end up in Adeleide and mega-event on the leap year. We have especially looked for old caches, to fill jasmer'n, for a couple of pieces, and for the other two of us who have started to think about reviewing more. The vast majority of them showed up at their places, sometimes we had to search a bit, but we were usually lucky in the end. There were also some DNFs.We have mostly logged in with the common nickname N4 (ingsve, Von sr. TeamEika and Ellen Sch), but our own nicknames are also used.A big thank you to all you CO's for laying out and maintaining your caches. Without their work, we would never have been able to make a living with this hobby.Always nice to have a new smiley face on the map.Cache greetings from Ellen Sch, Norway

Making our way from Hamilton to New Plymouth today - grabbed a few caches on the way. Parked nearby and wandered over to GZ. Cache found quickly though the lid was off and the container was crushed - though still usable. Logsheet ok and signed. Might be worth a check by the CO so adding an OAR TFTCTim and Viv - ddm

Day 17: Farewell to TaranakiTodays trip was the journey back to Auckland from New Plymouth, along SH 3 and SH 1, picking up whatever caches that was convenient along the very long drive back. There were a few fun finds (especially around Piopio and interesting stops in small towns that we would have other missed on the road back. Thanks for all the fun!(End of the cut and paste bit)Heres the specific log for this cache: A quick stop here as well, though the picnic area seems to be more of a roadworks gravel storage depot now than a nice place for a meal. The cache was found quickly at the expected spot and had a read of the history while signing the log. TFTC!

found on a windy day

07-Dec-23
I set out on a drive to check out some back roads round the waikato that might be suitable for a motorbike ride then went hunting for geocaches round piopio. With a car following close behind i ended up missing the last planned stop and decided what the heck lets find the next few on the road so i ended up here with geobugs the voodoo troll and mystery at the museum as travelling companions. No navigation here so a good thing i read it at the last stop. A quick and obvious find after stopping to check out the history if the area. Thanks for the cache.

06-Feb-23
On our way back from New Plymouth, didn’t actually plan to stop here. But a bee got in the car and this was the next safest place to pull over! Once we got said bee out of car, looked at app to see if any caches along the way…. And to my surprise one 50m away. Didn’t take long to locate at GZ. Well hidden. Tftc

#9577. I am up in Taranaki for the weekend to complete the TMGT geotour in this area. There are plenty of other caches to find as well and a bit of bird watching to fit in. This is the third day of my trip having made my way north through Hawera and Cape Egmont. Driving north to get the TMGT cache at Awakino but will pick up a few scattered caches along the way north and south. Parked here and headed to GZ. The hint seemed to match but nothing there at that signpost. Read the description and went to a different object and yep sure enough there was the cache. Signed the log and replaced the cache where found. Thanks GeoJoe68 for hiding it here.

24-Apr-21
We were heading down to Taranaki to complete the Mt Egmont Pouakai Circuit. Would seem rude not to cache on the way down.

We had decided we wouldn't go to far off the main drive down (Mrs NZTravellers dictated this Smile)

An easy find and signed as Team SEAC!

24-Apr-21
Heading down with some geocaching buddies from Auckland to walk the Pouakai Crossing (Mt Taranaki). Stopped along the way to get some caches. Logs might have been signed "Team Seac". Thanks for placing the cache.

Signed in as SEAC to save logbook space....

Cache was all good.

With Gap (of Fap and Gap)... We had planned to have another crack at the PWGT trail this weekend. And just to make things interesting, Gap had work in Taranaki...

From here on in, we decided to be a bit more selective - just roadside caches from now on... We’ve often passed through this area with our blinkers on - we’d not noticed the wetlands before. It took a couple of sweeps to find the cache, but a quick find nevertheless. Thanks GeoJoe68 and TFTC.

Found! Signed log and put back, log book was little damp but workable

Smile Found - Mrs McMike2012 & I are on a bit of a Christmas Roadtrip from Auckland to Ingill & back ... we'll be doing a few geocaches on our travels ... this being the 184th cache of hopefully many ... we had been spent Christmas in Invercargill & were now heading back to Auckland, taking the scenic route ... we were now heading North, had been up the West Coast of the South Island ... had been 'round the mountain' & were now heading back to Auckland ... love these 'out-of-the-way' quick & easy finds ... another 'smiley face' to the tally ... TFTC ... TN:LN:SL ... #1,918 for us.

Mr12 was GPS tracking all the caches from Auckland as this one here was a nice easy stop off, we had this one in hand in no time.

Arrived here just before the rain set in. I had never noticed these wetlands before. A nice quick find as the cache was lying exposed on the ground. So the log book has been signed and the cache is nicely back in its place all ready for the next geo-hunter. Thanks heaps for taking the time to set up this cache. I really appreciate your efforts in doing so. TFTC and Happy New Years!

Cache all good checked yesterday however someone stole the magnetics of it so was placed back in original area by another player (Thanks Ethness, Nosyel & Jude_E). Have amended clue to reflect new position.

05-Oct-20
We found what we thought was a throw down cache but it is actually the original. A photos was take by Ethness.
There was a family picnicking near by. We talked to them about geocache and they seemed most interested.
I am on a North Island Figure of Eight tour. For the first 4 days I spend time in the Bay of Plenty with my husband JDScout in Rotorua. Now I am on part two of the eight loop going over to New Plymouth. This part is being done with my good friends Ethness and Jude_E.
Thanks GeoJoe68 for creating this hide. It was find 9044 for me.

05-Oct-20
On the way to New Plymouth today with Nosynel and Ethness. Our goal is to find all the TMGT caches in a big figure 8 across the centre of the North Island. We found the original and have signed that. Ethness is loading a photo. We checked the names from the log we signed, most recent was 23/6/2019. We couldn't see any other under anything. May have converted a muggle family who were intetested. Thanks.

A family was close by eating an early dinner so we explained geocaching to them as the were wondering what we were doing.

We could not find the cache as per the hint however we did find the original cache. I have taken a photo of these logs and have included it in this log.

Jude_E, NosyNel and I are continuing on our figure of 8 tour of the North Island collecting the ‘Tour’ caches, plus others, plus seeing the scenery, plus having a good old time. TFTC.

Teamed up with Cats&Dragons, for an overnight mission down the West Coast focusing in and around Hawera. It's been awhile since we've done a trip like this and it was great to be out finding caches again. We left Hamilton at 7pm Friday night and returned midnight Saturday, with only a few hours of sleep needed we managed 116 finds for the trip. A big thanks to all the cache owners for their placements.

Stopped of on the way home, Cache easily found. TFTC.
