Out and about caching here around the South Island in our travels from Australia. Arrived at GZ and searched. cache found and log signed. TFTC
NZ_B and I are on a road trip to the Geo Toroa Mega and back. I'm also aiming for a multi every day, so it is now titled the "Mega Multi Road Trip." Today is Day 12 from Queenstown to Lake Tekapo. A fun find at this amazingly scenic spot today. Thank-you drawp. It's nice to have a trip where, alongside targeted caches, we also take time to find one's on a whim or ones that take a bit longer. We have all day and the caches are calling...
Day 8, and the last full day of our NZ mega mega holiday with The_Tritonz: Twizel to Cromwell via Mount Cook.On our way back to Cromwell, of course we had to stop at Lindis Pass to enjoy the views. Particularly pretty with the snow covered mountains around us. A nice easy find in between muggles. TFTC drawp.
On an overseas adventure in the company of chooknchunk we explored this wondrous country enjoying all the locations each and every cache took us to.Today we explored Mt Cook and oh, what an experience. Our first stop was a 40 minute helicopter flight which was just amazing, then coffee and then caching.Heading back to Cromwell now we are experiencing some more lovely locations with geocaches. What an awesome location to visit, our holiday is just getting better. A quick grab and sign while the muggles were not looking. Thanks drawp for the placement.
There was no one as silly as me walking through snow knee deep and creating my own path through fresh snow up to the lookout. Absolutely incredible scenes on a day like today. Had to dig quite a bit through the snow to get this one. TFTC
A quick find while doing the AdLab here at the same time. We managed just two of the four traditional caches here, as we were both tired. Glad this one was easy. TFTC!
Found with Gazania Rigens, as per her log.Good to stop up here for a bit amidst the winding roads to get some fresh air and long-distance views.
Luckily the carpark was empty when i arrived, so grabbed this one quickly. Nice easy find. [TFTC]
#3824 Today is day 5 of my geocaching holiday in New Zealand. I'm flying to Queenstown and driving up to Twizel. My original flight got canceled, and they moved me to another flight, and that one was delayed as well. So, the plan of picking up caches along the way got changed, and I was only able to get this one. It was an easy park and grab. I saw some leftover ice from the winter. The log was wet but still signable. drawp, thank you for the cache!-crystaloops from Taipei, Taiwan on October 5, 2024 @ 19:02:37[GC85TMX] Welcome to Waitaki II (Otago) was a D1.5/T1.5 Micro Traditional Cache at the time of finding.
Nice quick find here today thank goodness so many muggles around tft it's all good here
Easy find once I was looking at the correct spot. Log is a bit wet but still useable. TFTC!
Snowy!!! But found it! Greetings from Clear Mountain Australia My pen was struggling with the damp log which I tried to dry a bit on my jeans but pic shows my attempt at logging. Nice and easy cos too snowy to try for the other two nearby. TFTC!
We drove from Wanaka to Mt Cook and made a stop here. The clouds were quite low so some of the mountain tops were in the cloud, but we still enjoyed the view. The cache was an easy grab, I always like these kinds of cache containers. Thanks for the cache!
A team effort here while travelling south to Queenstown for a skiing and caching holiday with family and friends . Took nothing and left nothing here . thank you for this cache .
TFTC, lots of people around but not in this area. Log is a bit wet. Such a beautiful spot, kids loved playing in the snow
Couldnt find this one all the logs said it was easy, maybe we just were looking in the wrong place??
Interesting that a memorial to the introduction of pests. How about one for rabbits, possums, wallabies etc!Lots of people about. Fe,t a bit exposed putting the log back. TFTC
Before going to cliff clay we wanted to see the view there ! We found it, Thanx and greetings from France To the owner : The logbook was a bit wet, maybe a plastic to protect it can be a good option !
Found after a search of likely places. I am so tempted to do the cache up the hill on the side opposite, but the steepness is very off putting! Tftc
Stopped for a nice quick find on the way up the hill as thrre is loads of good parking. Much less effort required than the last cache we got across the road and up the hill. That was a few years ago but we remember it fondly.Even stopped to read the nearby plaque which we don't always do.A real crisp feel to the air this evening I suppose there should be with snow on the nearby hills. Thanks for placing this cache and thank you for the smiley
Making our way to the Mount Cook area today and stopped for this one. Took me a minute to find, but all is well with this cache.
Just getting around to logging the caches I found while visiting New Zealand from the U.S. with LaFavorite Cacher. We had a great time traveling around the country seeing the sights and picking up some caches along the way.Thank you for being a part of our adventures!Note: LaFavorite Cacher has sent in the answers for any earthcaches or virtuals required for both of us.
Today, GeoJayne and I left Manapouri to make our way to Lake Tekapo as we continue our time in lovely New Zealand from the U.S. The weather was much nicer today and the views all along the route were stunning. We found a variety of caches, had lunch in a fun spot, and had a grand day caching. If that sounds like a perfect day of caching, then we would have to agree! This was a quick find, just the way we like 'em. It's always good to put our ink on the log. Thank you for the smiley and the fun!
On our two-month trip through New Zealand and Australia, we traveled today from Mount Cook to Te Anau. We visited a few caches along the way. This cache was quickly found along the way.**drawp**, thanks for the cache.
We are currently on a eight week holiday which is mostly spent in New Zealand and Australia. However, the first three days were spent in Signapore as a nice break from an otherwise long flight. The day before yesterday we drove from Christchurch to Mount Cook. We had a great day yesterday with excellent weather. Today starts grey and Mount Cook is not visible. It was a short stay because today we are leaving for Te Anau. Since the drive is not too long we have several stops en route because we can't resist the breathtaking views we pass en route. Luckily the weather improves during the day. Everything is even more beautiful with some sun. After a short search the cache was found. Now on to the hill we go. Thank you very much for this cache.
4-week family trip through NZ - Find #155!A quick find thanks to the short but effective geo-trail .TFTC!
Just loved ducking down to do this while all the unsuspecting visitors are looking at the view! Earns a fave from us. Cache is all good. TFTC
We are on a trip in New Zealand. A wonderful country with a lot of (old ) caches. We found and signed this cache in good condition. Great place for a stop drawp, thank you for this cache, regards xizat-NL. Take care, this hobby can develop to an addiction.
We left Queenstown heading for Christchurch and then the West Coast, our first stop was in Cromwell, and then we headed over to Lindas Pass to see the views. Unfortunately the path was closed up to the mountain, but we found this cache and signed the log.TFTC from the UK.
Together with our cacher friends oldclemi and dilkos we are on tour through New Zealand. We log with our sign OLDIMA to save some space on the logbook.Today we visited this cache and signed the logbook. Many thanks to the Owner for creating and maintaining this cache and greetings from Germany.TFTCmaduro10

At last, a cache on this busy road with good parking. Managed a nice quick find too while no muggles were about. TFTC

While traveling to Lake Tekapo, we stopped here for a break, enjoying the view and a little walk to the cache, a classic stop and go quick and easyThanks for the contribution to the game by the placement and care of the cache. TFTC
Having spent a lovely three days in Otematata we then made our way over to Queenstown - we grabbed a few caches on the way. Here it was very busy, we searched however and eventually found this well hidden cache TFTCTim and Viv - ddm
29 December 2023 11:39 TFTC drawp for placing this cache, number 13198 for me. A quick find, almost parked right by it!
Day 9: Across the Lindis PassThe route for today brought us back to close the big loop of our Southern journey by passing through Omarama and the Lindis Pass and back into Cromwell where we stayed the night. This would be my first trip across the Pass and we found many caches along the way, including the highlight of the day at the Bendigo Historic Reserve. Thanks for all of the caches along the route!(End of the cut and paste bit)Heres the specific log for the cache:I hate it sometimes when a muggle turns up right after I have found the cache. Perhaps my poking around have attracted them to something that they would otherwise have missed. Anyway, all the better now that they have been informed about the 100th anniversary of the release of deer in the region. The cache was a standard fence hide in NZ so no issues finding this one here. TFTC!
Quite the hunt. In the end it was where I first looked, I just didn't look hard enough!! Nice views today. TFTC
Unfortunately has become a rubbish spot. We done have the means to clean it up. Happy to be at this location for our #700th find!
Obviously pulled up here , parked close to gz quite warm but a little windy at this time , cache found quickly , signed and replaced , SL TFTC now of to the other one
