Reperio 09:50Day 2 of our NSW south eastern caching tour, and Master Vitruvius and I travelled from Tarago, through to Bungendore and then on to Captains Flat. It was quite an eventful day, from finding a dog on a lonely country road, to having a brown snake slide up next to me while signing a cache, to having a police officer pull over and put his lights on for us as we were pulling road kill off the roadand of course, lots of geocaches found. A great day out full of geocaching and adventure. My son loved these novelty containers.Gratias Aquilus1As a well spent day brings happy sleep, a well spent life brings happy death - LDV

After reading the name of this cache, I knew what it was going to be. But despite knowing, I still sent @itsonlybarney to do the honours. He grabbed it and swung it around in the hope to scared me some more. TFTC!Cache 11 of 35Day 2 of 3 Oz Geobash - Caching with @itsonlybarney, @TeamPQS and @JustWanderingAbout

**Total find count: 1375**It's GeoBash Mega weekend!! And nothing better than going geocaching around the nation's capital! for high favourite caches!@crzymelly refused to touch this one, someone is afraid of the camoflage. So I had to swoop in for the grab. Have another favourite point. TFTC!

Another short drive from Goulburn to Bungendore chipping away at the days until the Mega starts. We hav setup at the showgrounds for a couple of days and maybe get the chance to do some repairs on the landcruiser side step.A cool day in the shade but pleasant in the sun. No bites today, fortunately I found the cache. TFTC

05-Mar-24
Today headed towards the one key cache to get at least an hour of exercise. In the end we hiked some 10km on remarkably good trails. The landscape was very green between Lake George and a little beyond the road to Bungendore. We were mostly under the canopy of trees which was quite refreshing despite the hot sun. We found this cache on our way through to our hike. This was a quick find. TFTC Aquilus1.

22-Feb-24
Had a thrilling solo day exploring the Collector Road Powertrails amidst stunning scenery. Had lunch at the church along the way. After checking in to my accommodation in Bungendore, I was eager to explore a few more caches near where I was staying.

28-Jan-24
Snapped this one up.

28-Jan-24
Gave the cache a smile, which apparently you should never do, but I did it anyway.

12-Jan-24
Checked on this today. The hide has suffered some decay and the poor croc has weathered a little. It's hanging in there though! Added a new log and double bagged them.

14-May-23
Found on a drive in Queanbeyan and Bungendore to side-track to highly favourited caches for the Signal's Labyrinth challenge this month. Quick find at GZ, the outside of the container was a bit wet but all was fine inside! TNLNSL. Another cute cache in this miniseries of hides along Joe Rocks Rd, TFTC Aquilus1!

The date being what it is today, Pa and I decided to meet up in Bungendore for lunch . I was in the mood for some more solo caching so chose a very roundabout route to get there. This was one on the route that I found. It was a bit at first but the log now carries my name.

Out doing a maintenance run, so decided to use my time wisely and grab some caches. This croc has been for a swim. Drained the container and bag. The log is damp, but still ok. TFTC

29-Oct-22
Dropping Pebbles at a party nearby. Time for some caching in the area before it was entirely dark.
This one give you a slight adrenaline rush when you get it out. A quick find though. A FAVpoint for the changing containers down this road.

Thank you Aquilus1 for putting the cache out and maintaining it.

16-Oct-22
Found it via Cacher for Garmin

09-Oct-22
Homebound after spending a week fishing Tangtangra for trout then Bermagui for flathead. Not a lot of fish caught on this trip due to bad weather, made a lot more time for caching. Heading home via Batemans bay then onto the Kings Hwy to end up on the Hume, hoping the flooding doesn't affect to much of my route. Lots of caches targeted along the way.

Nearly bit me! A last one along this road now back to the Hwy.

Tftc!

Back in Canberra for a stint. Best catch some caches, old and new. TFTC.
After just returning from croc country, this could have been a big scare.

TFTC. I knew it was going to be another fun cache when I read the title and saw who the co was. It didn’t disappoint. Love exploring in this area.

22-Feb-22
Find Number 2391 found at 12:06. Today we found 18 caches plus 6 Adventure lab stages. We had 6 DNF.

22/2/22 - a significant date with four souvenirs up for grabs.

I headed to Bungendore hoping to achieve three aims: get all 4 douvenirs; get the two multicaches I needed for a challenge and get as many caches with 6 months or more unfound time as possible.

Another cache which made me smile on a somewhat grey day. A simple find in the obvious spot and well worth another favourite point.

The cache was in good condition. We signed the log and replaced the container as found

Thanks Aquilus1 for the cache.

#10479 - 7:57:00 AM; Out on a mission with Sol de lune this morning to undertake a caching circumnavigation of Lake George. Our goal for the day was to collect the various caches, including some Adventure Labs, along or near our route with stops in Bungendore and Collector as we made our way around. A short detour to grab this short series of caches and a favourite point for the effort with the container here. TFTC Aquilus1 Smile

07-Mar-21
Out with LuckyL10n to do a lap of Lake George on great day weather wise. No problems here and the cache was soon in hand.

I do like finding caches where a little more effort has gone into the hide. No boring old mint tin here, just a neat little container to keep us entertained.

Thanks Aquils1....fav point for the fun factor.

Starting from Murrumbateman, we set a course for the coast. Every cache type popped up on our map, some in large numbers. With limited time, it is easy to see we will need to make another trip to this part of the state.
We enjoyed the theme running through this group of well designed hides.

Thanks Aquilus1 for placing caches for everyone's enjoyment.

It never fails to amaze me how water gets into some caches! This one was in the open but the lid was protected as could be - emptied out a good quarter inch of water and, even though the log was snugly enclosed in two plastic bags, it was still a bit wet. Quite usable though. Thanks for the fun of the last two - wished I had geo-grandson with me to enjoy them too.

We came along here on a beautiful day with ilook4geo. Out for a country drive in Covid free air and put this cache on the program. After arriving at GZ we had a look around and found the hiding place. The camo was holding a lot of water and the inner container was also very wet inside, but the signing was all good as a Rite in the Rain log sheet was used. It worked well here and both names were added for the day. You could say that the outer camo had water on the brain.
Tried to dry out everything as best we could, but all seems to be basically OK.
Thank you to Aquilus1 for placing this cache.

26-Aug-20
Headed out today with goingplaces2 and looking for a few caches along the way. No problem in finding each cache and all logs were signed before we moved on. Thanks for this cache placement.

Our goal for this "Leap Day" was to get 10 different types which we managed with a few extras thrown in for good measure and even a border crossing.

Well this was our boarding crossing as we needed a letterbox cache these seem to be rare in ACT. So a lovely drive out this way and got a few bonus caches and entertaining hides.

Thanks for the hide Aquilus1 this one gets a favourite point from us as well.

26-Feb-20
We had a most enjoyable day of caching from our base at Bungendore. The weather just perfect and the scenery so green and beautiful. Yours was one of the caches we targetted and found. Thanks to Aquilus1 for arranging this cache and adding to our enjoyment of the area.

13-Feb-20
# 5903 CBRChic and I decided to head out to Braidwood and beyond to gather a few stray caches and provide some much needed custom to the local businesses. It got progressively damper the further east we traveled which was great to see. Lots of swollen streams and farm dams. In the end we made it as far as Nelligen before we turned home. A very pleasant day's caching.
We had fun with this one.
Thanks Aquilus1

08-Feb-20
The weather this morning was quite variable, but I never had to face more then misty drizzle when I was out of the car. I needed quite a few caches today to meet one of the challenges I am working towards. Most if the caches were simple roadside stops with one first find thrown in as a random surprise.

Thanks.

Love your cache. Even though finding that here made no logical sense, having lived in the Torres Strait it still made me pause fractionally. A 20ft one blocked the jetty one day while i worked there. Noone could get to work that way. They were very common ... and scarey when you were out paddling.
After finishing up All7's sweet caching trail I couldn't go home before grabbing the last caches I hadn't found round Bungendore. A quick find in good condition. Tftc

Attending the Clear Water 2019 mega this Easter in Queanbeyan. Apologies for the generic log but we have found too many to compose individual logs. Many thanks to all the cache owners for their caches, which have been exceptional in their maintenance I have had only 1 dnf and that was only because I was not going to make a tree climb without seeing where the cache was. The vast majority of caches have had very good coordinates. Along with useful hints. TFTC
