Logs

After much searching in the wrong trees I found it! Lid missing and log unsignable, so I replaced new log in plastic baggy into the original container. Tftc

23-Apr-23
Getting a few more of this excellent series which seems to have dropped a little out of favour lately with some of the original containers now the worse for wear. It would be a shame for Dark Energy’s great work in developing the puzzles and original placements to go to waste. Luckily some others have stepped up to replace some of the original containers.
This one is an original and had no lid and a mushy waterlogged log which I was able to sign.
Thanks Dark Energy for the extensive work you have done.

Thank you! Teamed up with papillon367 to start find this series seeing as we'd solved them all. Logs from recent finders helped to figure out whether we were looking for an original or replacement cache. Happy to make the find here.

Teamed up with ullyssia to start tackling this series while it is still being maintained by the community! We found a mix of original containers in good condition, some that had the lid missing, and some replacement tubs.
The scrub was very dense in places and progress was quite slow, so we moved on to the caches scattered in the suburb after completing this parcel of bushland.
Thank you for the puzzle and for the cache Dark Energy, and thank you to those who are helping to keep this series in play.

Find 43 of 56 on a mega bush bash around Harrisdale's tracks. We did some maintenance along the way, replacing destroyed containers where we could. Thanks to sazpazza for replacing a good number of the first caches we came across with easy to spot containers which will hopefully last better than the originals.

All good here.

TFTC Dark Energy!

Out and about today and I decided to check the map to see what was nearby.
I find myself with time to kill so I stopped by here for a find.

Many thanks to Dark Energy for placing and maintaining DE262 Languages of the World – 18 Czech. I found it, I signed it, and put it back as found.

Back on the board after five DNFs in a row! Lid disintegrated in my hands. 15 for 21 today...

Our night caching outing coming to an end. We are nearly back to the car and this is the last one along the way. Lucky enough the rain has held off but the lightning and thunder is certainly closer. A quick search revealed the prize and we soon added our mark to your log and returned your cache back as we found it. Díky za mezipaměť Dark Energy.

Last one for this night out with axell33. This cache was found with all good here. We signed the log and missed the rain. We still have many more to look for here, so we will be back. Thanks for the hide Dark Energy.

Back out in DE language land to knock off a few more in the series. We had a good walk along the bush tracks and some serious bush bashing as well. Quite a few caches are starting to see the affect of the weather.

Another one down! Thanks for this series.

Taking advantage of a cooler day today I made 26 finds with 0 DNF's. Lots of walking and then backtracking to the last position of the car. I have loved the puzzles and I am blown away with the degree of research that has gone into developing these puzzles. The Geo-Art is also note worthy. I have restricted my searching based upon the degree of bush bashing each cache required. (not too big on bush bashing and unseen things). Enjoying doing this series and still have many more remaining to track down.
Thank you for all the time, energy and effort you have put in for our enjoyment Dark Energy.

With only a short time in the area I was able to make 6 finds in the series. Lots of the caches in the series are starting to get water in them so I Hung this one upside down and tried to dry it out.

Quick find here today.

We have solved the mysteries at home already
It was raining when we got there and the paths were very sandy so we couldn’t complete all of them
The ones we found were nicely hidden
Thank you

After solving some of this series of puzzles over the last couple of days, and with a fortunate overcast cool Summers day forecast today, it was decided to see if I could make a bit of a dent in the overwhelming number of caches in this series. After reading the previous logs, I knew I was up for a bit of bush bashing and man, it was thick in parts. The first few were hard going but I was soon using the sandy tracks to limit damage to the legs and arms. I still ended up with prickles and scratches galore after a tough couple of high terrain caches but all in all, a satisfying day out in the bush. All caches were found with good coordinates with one DNF. Thankyou Dark Energy. What a mammoth effort putting this together. I will return for the rest once we get some cooler days and the wounds have healed Wink
Apologies for the cut and paste log.

I had the morning off so I thought it was a good opportunity to grab some of the language puzzles I have solved. So I put on my off road running shoes and headed off.
Still a nice run along the sandy track. This one wasn't as easily spotted as the last couple as I had to head offroad a little for this one but it was soon spotted once I did.
This was find number 4 for the day.

I had solved many of the language series and was out caching with hhheddy and we decided to come and tackle some of this series. We went back to the car and moved further along the road and parked up and grabbed this quick find. Log was very damp and mouldy. TFTC Dark energy. We completed 23 of the series today.

Back again for further masochistic enjoyment! (I sometimes wonder about my sanity whilst out caching!)
Today's marathon of Languages were a mixed bunch terrain-wise: some quite reasonable, others diabolical. It would have been an easy job for a tracker dog to follow my progress with the trails of blood extracted by the menacing, grasping, scratching, tripping bushland. With dogged determination we completed the remaining caches in this area, feeling most satisfied with our achievements at the end of the thoroughly exhausting day.
Now that I have recovered (a couple of days later, when writing this log) I am able to thank Dark Energy very much for his amazing, mammoth achievement in creating this series, and the time and effort it would have taken just in the placement of these caches!

Beautiful Autumn day to be out caching with geobuddy urch. Today's target was once again the DE Language series, but having made a late start to the day and not having the luxury of our "bulldozer" from last weekend, we weren't sure of how many of them we would have the endurance to fight our way to today. Fortunately most of today's caches were quite easy terrain, with just a few gnarly ones thrown in the mix (and I mean REALLY gnarly ones!). At once point I was ready to throw in the towel, muttering things about what a nasty man the CO was (just kidding), but we had learned a lot about the languages of the world, and the physical challenge of getting all the smileys was worth it in the end. After a well earned rest in a cool shady spot to regain our equilibrium, realized that we had just 8 left to find in this patch of bushland, we were soon back on the hunt and managed to clear them all out. Not a lot of wildlife observed out here, but there were quite a few wildflowers here and there and I did see a couple of roos on the last stretch back to the car, so that was an added bonus. All up we found 46 mystery caches and 2 traditionals on the homeward trek. It would have been nice to have made it 50 but we ran out of daylight. Thanks again for all the work that went into setting up this series and getting all the caches out here for the rest of us to come and find Dark Energy. How many more are there yet to be published?

After picking up some FTF's nearby I thought I'd have a go at a couple more smilies on the way back to the car, that's if the phone lasts the distance.

Spotted this one rather quickly with the phone showing 4% battery, phew! Thanks for the pleasant stroll around this bushland.

Dark Energy I found your cache at 4:21pm, this was the 6th of 6 finds for me today and brings my total find count to 5351. The cache was in good order and I replaced it as found.

Joint *FTF* with Barnzy12 and WebblyWA
Saw another pile of caches get published so the decision was made to go and grab as many as possible. My OOH YEH wasn't having much luck solving them so it was just as well Webbly had her thinking cap on lol....Her dog summer also joined in the night time antics and at times the terrain was pretty bad resulting lots of scratches . **FTF** with ooh yeh and WebblyWA.

I finished work and was driving home along Tonkin highway and got the phone call that more of the dark energy caches had been published. The body said not again, but the mind said “you got this” and we metup to start the task of solving and finding.

But a few brick walls with some of the translations not being so smooth, but webbly made quick work of rectifying this.

Finished the night with a FTF in Baldivis, quite literally a park and grab, five meters from the car.

Thanks Dark Energy for a great night.
