#1896Now you know you are on holidays when you get a cache! Sadly the last cache The Welder and I got was when we went to the Canberra Megabut finally its family road-tripping holiday after what has been a tough year. Happy to sign into this cache with The Welder and my two minis Ge0Bug and Ge0-Ninja and of course our fur baby Ally who is having her first family holiday. Camper in tow tonight we head to Goulburn for an overnighter before we head to the beautiful Port Macquarie. Bring it on!

Great hiding spot!!

On my way up to Sydney via Gundagai tonight, I stopped at Glenrowan to fill up my tank and grab a snack. Figured while I was eating my sandwich Id wander over and find this cache. With a few obvious hiding places, it didnt take long before I spotted it, log signed and replaced as found.However, while I sat down to sign the log a guard in a car marked security came up to see what I was doing in the dark. I started over to the other cache here after hed driven off, but he soon looped back around past me again, so I made the executive decision to leave it at one for now, especially with all the truckers parking up nearby to rest.Happy to report that the cache is in good condition and the log nice and dry.Tftc

Having left Tassie, we headed towards Canberra for the Mega and picked up a few caches along the way and this was one of them.We found a variety of hides with varying degrees of difficulty.Enjoyed caching in this area, cache and contents were in good condition.Many thanks to all CO's for your cache placement.

Found on our trip to Canberra for the Mega.While Mr Morris fueled the car Lady Morris wandered over to find the cache. A quick find but the log taken quite a beating. Shortly afterward replacing the cache she managed to draw quite a bit of attention as the world's biggest ant bit her behind the knee.

Found on my way to the North, to the mountains, just to escape from the warm weather in lowlands and see mountains...

Full time Nomads, travelling around Australia since 2014. Staying in Wangaratta to visit friends and explore the local area. Today we decided to visit Glenrowan and do some Ned Kelly historical stuff. Of course we used Geocaching as our guide.The NKH series was our primary objective but of course there were plenty of other caches that jumped out at us along the way. All we found today had good coords, some logs were a little damp but nothing unsignable.TFTC Robmc [^]

We we up at Mt Bogong for the Conquestathon, a 21km trail running/hike starting at Mountain Creek camp, up Staircase to the summit of Mt Bogong and back down Eskdale After having run past some caches during the race, after a night's rest, it was time to jump in the 4wd to see the sights the easy way and grab some caches

On our way to Albury to watch a cricket match (3.5 hours drive to Albury, 3 hours watching cricket and 3.5 hours drive home again). Stopped here for petrol, lovely sandwiches and cool drinks. The cache was located in an obvious spot but I had to avoid the bull ants.

Rutherglen MEGA Long Easter weekend trip. Day 7 Home time.

This year with new tools and transport on board. Bike, ladder, poles and a variety of other items to help with the cache grabs.

Puzzles were all sorted before the weekend. Making way for the finds to come.
Plans sorted for cache attack days, between ladder climbing, power trail grabs and the large amount of ad labs in the area. Not to mention the MEGA site visits and numerous other events to attend.

My stat's of finds started at 11,886 before leaving home. Let's see what the final numbers are at trips end for the MEGA.

After a full on weekend it's time to head home from the Rutherglen MEGA... there was lots done, lots seen. Thanks to all.

After eating, we walked the short distance to GZ and made a quick find.

Family trip to Glenrowan today, despite living only an hour away we have only even driven through it and never explored and area. Loved visiting the different shops and learning the history of the area aswell as Ned's story.

A quick park and grab here or so I thought.... After signing the log I jumped back in the car, however I had pulled too far off the road and with all the recent rain the ground just sank when I went to drive off. Ive driven 4x4 tracks all over North East Vic and very rarely get bogged, yet here I am at McDonald's bogged with no hope of getting out... Luckily a good samaritan soon had me on my way!
