I have been to Biggenden one last timenow to head home, the long way. As always, I allow some time to find a few geocaches along the way. But today, is all about finding geocaches. After starting caching this morning at 4am just west of Maryborough, and and stopping for quite a few caches, I needed to fuel up at Pomona. Then onto the Big Pineapple, and now heading home. But, this cache it just there, along my route home. A quick find and find and I am on my way again. Thanks for the cache.

Swearah and I still had a hit of time to kill so we headed to this one. After finding the other close by cache, we had lots of different ideas of what this one could be. After considering the options at GZ, we both looked at different things. I clearly didnt try hard enough cause it took Swearah to have a second go at what I had already tried Bingo! Love the creativity! FP for the effort! Thanks for bringing us here and TFTC!

Love these tricky ones! Krcamber and I hit GZ and started looking for something sneaky. I tried something and she tried the other something. Nothing. We swapped to check each others work and I discovered shes not real good at this game at all just kidding - it was a tough one! Thanks for the cache, HRH54

Found at the end of a mum and son camping trip. We had overnight rain so I had the joy of packing up a wet campsite. Then we spent the morning kayaking and swimming and after lunch we headed back to Brisbane. We stopped along the way to look for caches and thankfully they were all quick finds today as it was super hot and muggy.Although I thought I knew where this one was, I hesitated and GeoM did not. So technically this was his find. He asked to go over to the jetty while I signed the log and I told him he couldnt because it was someones property. I reminded him that the cache was called Jetty Views so he would have to be happy just looking at it. He was not. Thanks HRH54! This was another fun cache.

I thought I had just enough time to visit this location prior to meeting my first mates on our boating voyage today, and as luck would have it, I saw [GurTheWanderer](https://coord.info/PRWMPWQ)'s vehicle as I left the main road. Thankfully, when I arrived at GZ, it wasn't long before I found the well-hidden cache. Well played indeed - I have never seen such commitment to the camouflage! The cache container and logbook were in good shape. Thanks HRH54 for the cache placement and ongoing maintenance. Favourite Point, obviously!

----------

During this extended weekend, it was a trip north to find the 65 Roses geoart in Kilcoy, followed by two days boating on Lake Somerset to defeat the Dark Side series joined with [GurTheWanderer](https://coord.info/PRWMPWQ) and [stairman1](https://coord.info/PR4R27Z).

Today, the plan was to attack as many of the *Dark side of the cache* geoart on Lake Somerset as daylight, time and energy could handle. After staying in D'Aguilar, I stopped at Kilcoy to participate in Yowie parkrun, before then making my way to Hazeldean to meet [GurTheWanderer](https://coord.info/PRWMPWQ) and [stairman1](https://coord.info/PR4R27Z) and pick up our hire boat.
We set off from Kirkleagh Boat Ramp just after 08:45 hr, and we made our way south / south-east whilst attacking the various geocache clusters. The lake was at 80% capacity with not too many boating muggles about, although there was one boat testing its speed limits as it "flew" across the lake. Ultimately, we managed to find all 108 available geocaches by the end of the day, of which none of us expected to achieve. The Winter weather was fantastic as it wasn't hot, and the three of us had a lot of fun boating and walking/hiking across the lake's peninsulas.

Also love the view of the jetty!!!

Driving through from Fernvale to Kilcoy and decide to do a spot of caching. Neigh ours were out collecting fallen branches so waited in the car for a while before venturing out. At GZ a quick look revealed nothing obvious other than something out of place, sure enough soon had a scrolled up log in hand. A great cache with some serious effort put into it. Thanks for bringing me here to view this little jetty.

Driving from Gatton to Sunshine Coast through Kilroy was the plan today. Hopefully collecting a few of the rose caches as well as some high favourite caches on the way.

I didn’t get as many of the rose caches as I would have liked but certainly made up for that with a number of other caches. Some very very cleaver caches that have given inspiration.

Tftc.

Another great cache. I was just luckily that I walked up and said. That isn’t right and found the cache quickly.

13-Jun-22
This one eluded me today. I will blame my creeping headache and tiredness. Checked a few spots. Some I even twisted more than once but no luck. Didn’t want to break their stuff trying any harder

This CO is very clever.... Getting a lot of favourite points and interest. Would have loved to discover this one. Neighbour was sitting in her garage watching us so it was time to leave. After finding two caches by the Co at the spit and the dam wall we knew a bit more of what to expect and tried this one on our way back up north again. We both were convinced we knew where it was going to be... Neighbour had moved on we jumped out of the car and nope still couldn't find it.

I've come across a few of these hides before.
But.
I just can't feel comfortable so close to peoples properties, even if they're aware of the hide.
Made me feel super awkward, so i was sooo happy to make the find after touching a few random things.
Made the sidetrip off the highway specifically for this highly favourited cache.
Thanks HRH54 for the thought and effort involved.
Another classic hidden in plain sight cache.

Thankyou for all the fun.

It's been far too many months since The Bromance last went on a weekend geocaching road trip so plans were made a couple of weeks ago for a journey north towards Kingaroy and the surrounding area. Unfortunately Crookedpete was unable to make it due to family commitments so it was a Bromance Lite+ trip of JezNDez, Swellerfungus and Seffnjarah.

Today was Day 2 of the trip, and after an overnight stay in a dingy motel in Kingaroy and a few caches picked up around town , we continued our journey northwards. We decided to turnoff from our northerly heading just short of Kilkivan and make our way back to Brisbane via the tracks through Wrattens National Park, with the main purpose of avenging and old DNF.

With that mission completed we headed for home, but were happy to stop off for a few more caches including this one. We were pleasantly surprised at a quick find at this one considering the D rating. A bit of experience with similar hides in the past certainly paid dividends here. Signed the log with The Bromance team stamp. TFTC

Although the weather was bad, we set off to see what we could do between showers. When we eventually found the cache, where we had looked before, the log was full. Mrs Crackers had a spare one with her so it is now ready to go again.
This one gets a favourite from us. Thanks for placing it and bringing us here.

01-Apr-21
If we had looked properly, maybe this one wouldn't have taken as long. Not sure who did so but to them we owe a thanks. Great cache which Mrs Crackers replaced the log for. Thanks for the cache.

01-Apr-21
Catching up on late logs.
We were up here to attend the Daybro Mega event but the weather was not very kind to us so we decided to concentrate on Adventure Labs and any thing else that was near by.
The weather had turned quite nice so we joined forces with Geoturle and Pappie to try our luck at some local caches.

This was the first for the day and we thought it was going to be a DNF. We read the cache page again and looked where we had looked before and sure enough this time we would have been able to add our names to the log but it was full. We replaced with a fresh one and think we still have the old one in the car if you want it back. Also added a well deserved favorite point to the cache page.
Many thanks once more HRH54 for great hide, this looks like shaping up to be a good day..

31-Mar-21
On our way to Dayboro we took a detour by Sommerset Dam a few nights camped here with the Snakepitters & also my muggle brother who has kindly lent us his tinny for the few days.
This was a cache that hubby wandeed off to do on his own, I didn't see it at all but he said that it was worthy of a FP
Thankyou HRH54 for placing this cache.

30-Mar-21
Found while travelling through to Somerset Dam. A clever hide.

29-Mar-21
Found at 4:25 PM GAFF1.
This is a classic example of looking at the cache hide immediately and then dismissing it because it can't be right. We then started to search elsewhere and after a few minutes read the full cache description and we then realised that the first spot was where the cache was hidden and it was there alright!
Thanks HRH54.

Lake Somerset Trip - Day 6

After a delayed start to the day (after 2 big days on the lake), our aim was to cherry pick a number of the 65 roses powertrail. Managed to avoid the drizzle for most of the afternoon. Grabbed a couple more on the way back to our accommodation. Another sneaky hide by the CO but luckily have seen similar before.

18-Mar-21
After this morning’s cito event, I had to head into work, along the way I grabbed a few caches to make the day a little more worthwhile. I stopped at this one and was stumped for a while and then I put on my geocaching cap and looked closely. It wasn’t too long after that I had the cache in hand and log signed.

I had seen something similar to this before, this was a nice adaptation to that. Thanks for the creative placement. With the log signed and the cache replaced as found I moved onto the next in the area.

08-Jan-21
First find of the day with Peppa, Blkthunder and Giraffe 18 on our little adventure driving day.
After Peppa did a very late left turn we made it down this road.
Well that was impressive. Love a clever hide.

08-Jan-21
A plan was hatched to visit Kilcoy today to find some roses... so before Anna sends the state into lockdown we set off...

So with Blkthunder, Giraffe18 and PirateLinda we pulled out of the new car/truck/Ute and had found the cache within 10 minutes... very clever... worthy of a fave point...

My travel mates then became fascinated with the ducks across the road... tftc...

Today T-Tech and I took a road trip chasing down a large multi, and on our way home we took the detour around to collect this cache as we both liked the D/T rating! Over the road from GZ a few dogs barked at us, but we were able to search unhindered. We both touched the right thing and ignored it, and searched elsewhere, but T-Tech went back and tested something, and revealed the hiding spot. Nicely done, so have a favourite point. TFTC. HRH54.

After a longish day trip from Brisbane with IolantheK, we decided to head home a different way and snag this cache [^]
Spent a few minutes looking at all the usual suspect without joy, then I thought...(without giving anything away) some small detail don't add up, and bingo we have a log book Smile
Cache is dry and in good condition [^]
TFTC HRH54 Cool + a fav point

12-Oct-20
A very clever hide that took us two attempts to find. The first time at the GZ we were looking in the wrong spot but then after some thought and discussion with Farket we came up with a potential hiding spot. On return to the GZ the cache was soon in hand and the name of the cache made sense! Names added to the log and replaced as found.
Thanks for the cache HRH54, a FP for this one.

11-Oct-20
This one was super fun to find. We didn't find it the first time and then went back to our camp and thought...hmmmmm and ended up going back. Lots of fun!

10-Oct-20
Went to the likely spot - and touched it, even took something from it but it was the wrong something LOL
Walked away and then had the thought - you know what a sneaky bugger the CO is - yes he really did do that. Gotcha!

TFTC It was awesome Smile

06-Sep-20
Out doing more Dark Side caches for the third time. Windy day on the lake. Getting wet in the little tinny. Storm clouds looking ominous so decided to call it quits on the lake today and make our way to our cabin for the night.

After reading the previous logs, had our eyes searching everywhere for this one. Pushed, pulled, turned over, etc until I did something and "presto!! there is the cache!"
What a clever, sneaky hide... Love it!! A Fav Point from us!! (love the jetty too)

Given the green light from Anna that I could travel within 50ish kms from home with 1 friend, I delighted in this new given luxury. So where could we, wombles being my plus one, venture? I checked the map and soon had a plan. You can certainly travel a long distance within a 50km radius from my house! I picked up my partner in crime and off we sped on our first day of freedom Smile

This cache marked the furthest we could go from home today being on the border of the travel restriction. It was also our last one, it was getting late and the sun was getting low in the sky.

We hunted around for a while and both of us touched the cache before I finally figured it out. Very clever! Another fun cache from this CO.

Thanks for the smiley HRH54 Big Grin
Happy to part with a FP for this one!

Freedom! Nyssaflutterby and I planned a day as soon as we were allowed to be out for recreation, mapping out an area within 50kms of home.
We spent a long time looking at the wrongs things here, and we both looked at the right thing at least once each before NF worked it out. Cleverly hidden!

After a day out on the water, Ms Maddy, nikid1 and myself converged on this quiet little cul-de-sac to see if we could hunt down a cache. We poked and prodded in a few spots before the container was revealed. Thanks for the cache

Ab Fab day out on a little boat and made such good time, we had the luxury of grabbing a few caches on the drive back to Brissy.

There wasn’t much to search at GZ but within a couple of minutes Beardman75 made the find. Very nicely done and dropping a FAVE point here

This would have been a lot harder if we hadn't already found a few caches by HRH54 already. Thinking in the out of the box mindset we've had to use when searching for these caches we quickly spotted a likely spot, fiddled around where we thought it could be and had it in hand shortly after. Very clever hide!

Thanks for putting the time and effort into such creative caches - we've loved finding them!

22-Nov-19
Very very cool.
Not much water left in the dam there though.
Big jump from the jetty to the water.
When will we get the liquid gold we need.

Well played HRH54

22-Nov-19
After day one of caches on the dam we noticed this one was close after the way out and a bit of a drive by but with a good D rating so headed over. A bit of a look before spotting something worth investigating. Nice bit of camo and setup. We completed the signing duties and re hid. TFTC.

08-Nov-19
Heading home from a couple of days camping and paddling on the dam. A slight detour to get this one. A short wait while a neighbour left home. Once the coast was clear I ducked over and had a look around. A few possibilities to check, but the cache was soon located.

A favourite point for this one. Nicely done.

14-Oct-19
After a long long 18km paddle on Somerset, I was absolutely spent, bit really wanted to find this one. After waiting for the postie guy to make his deliveries, I moved in and had a punt where it might be hiding. Lucky for me with a suspicious mind, it was the first place I checked and I was back in the car within a minute.

Log signed at 12:24 and cache returned as found. Thanks for the smilie and bringing us here **HRH54**. This log is trackable, mention where you saw it.

Passed some very nice houses in this area before turning off to look for this cache. Wouldn't be a bad place to live!!
Again another clever cache. I suspected the hide was here but there was one thing that put me off. It didn't fool Mr Beetle though who was on to it straight away. Have found similar hides before but this one had an extra twist.
We couldn't work out where the jetty view was at first as we thought it was going to be down on the lake. Duh!!!!
Thanks and yet another favourite point, we sure are using some up here.

12-Aug-19
Found with Touchstone7 on a trip out west of Brisvegas. We were up visiting my father and decided that a little side trip around an area I haven't really been to could be fun.

And of course, there were caches.

Recognised this one pretty quickly as I'd had a previous hide similar to this. Fav point from me.

Thanks for the cache and sorry for the late log. Sometimes life gets a little hectic Smile
