### **OWNER MAINTENANCE REQUIRED PLEASE** ###

----------

Hi there deathbypizza,

It looks like this cache might need some attention, as one or more seekers have indicated there is an issue. The cache has been temporarily disabled, so as to remove it from search listings and discourage people from visiting this location until the issues/s with this cache can be addressed.

**You do need to respond in some way within 14 days, so others know you are on top of it, as well as indicating exactly what is happening with this placement - please don't let a lack of communication scuttle this listing.**

#What should you do now:-#
You have a number of choices so pick the one that applies from this handy list:-

- **Check On The Cache:-** Visit the cache and repair and/or replace or do whatever else is needed, post an [**Owner Maintenance log**](http://support.groundspeak.com/index.php?pg=kb.page&id=404) indicating the cache has been checked and [**ENABLE your cache**](https://support.groundspeak.com/index.php?pg=kb.page&id=235 ). Then sit back and wait for the logs of praise to roll in.

- **Place A Write Note Log::-** Reviewers are not mind readers (unfortunately), so without your note on the cache page explaining that the site works are on-going, you have been in hospital, the area is in flood, or some other reason that has prevented attending to the cache, they can't tell what is going on.
So please just post a note to the page (within 14 days) and when a Reviewer next looks at the listing, all will be fine for a little bit longer.
**Be sure to indicate the actual date that you expect to have it fixed so that everyone knows you are on top of it. If you have a long term unavailable cache (where you don't have an actual date) please ensure you visit the page and post a note every 4 to 6 weeks, so as to keep everyone up to speed.**

- **Adopt/Archive:-** If you don't plan on fixing it then you could consider passing it on to another geocacher by asking them to [**Adopt it**](https://www.geocaching.com/help/index.php?pg=kb.chapter&id=38&pgid=54) or alternatively, you need to [**Archive it**](https://www.geocaching.com/help/index.php?pg=kb.chapter&id=38&pgid=56), so it is removed from searches and someone else can have the spot. Don't forget to remove any remnants of your previously enjoyed cache too.

You might wonder what happens if you don't pick one of those. Well, if nothing happens, then a few weeks from today, when a Reviewer next looks at the cache page, it is likely that they will, unfortunately, have to de-list (Archive) on the basis that it has been abandoned.

Honestly, I'd rather you decide so please do something before then. Please don't send me an email but instead follow the information/advice posted above.

**JUST A TIP:-** Have you checked out the Geocaching Dash Board designed to assist a Cache Owner in managing the caches they own? Have a read about it [**HERE.**](https://www.geocaching.com/blog/2020/07/welcome-to-the-cache-owner-dashboard/?newsletter=PM) You will find your very own dash board [**HERE**](https://www.geocaching.com/play/owner?utm_source=geocaching&utm_medium=blog&utm_campaign=COD).

Thanks for your cooperation,

Bunjil

This cache is messed up...

Lid is cracked, bottom is soaked in brown water, swag ruined, can't even piece together the log. But hey, I got the Drop Anchor souvenir!

Needs an entire replacement ASAP. Cache is not even a cache anymore, just litter.

24-Dec-22
Lid smashed, water logged, log watered, swag ruined.

In very bad condition.

19-Dec-22
Found it but the lid is broken so fully wet inside. Please replace it. Great cache

A quick (?) visit to the shops for some hopefully last minute goodies before Xmas. Stored to grab this cache. As per previous comments, log wet, I'm afraid my gel pen log looks like an ink blob. At least I've made my mark lol. Thanks for bringing a little bit of pleasure on an otherwise ordinary day!

Quick find here.

TFTC. Nice easy find, cache needs attention. I did not have anything with me except a shopping docket, so signed that. All wet with the container lid broken.

Just like the people before me, this cache does need replacing. Cache was found straight away but I was unable to sign the log. I have taken a photo as proof Smile

Thanks for the cache

Thanks for the update. After a job change and Covid I’m super behind on maintenance. I should get out to replace / repair the cache in the next few weeks.

Lovely night for a walk round the streets of Taylor's Lakes. As the previous DNF'r suggested the cache may have been hidden under newly laid mulch and this proved to be correct. Sadly the cache container lid was cracked and the cache was part full of water. The log was also soaked but luckily my pen writes on soggy paper. Cache definitely needs replacing, nice hide tho. TFTC

30-Apr-22
Not sure if the cache is still here, the area has recently had fresh mulch put down so it could be buried.

Thank you for our first find! Found this with my partner and son after bugging them for days to come and help me look for my/our first Geocache. My son was very excited and wanted to take something but we explained that it would be better for us to leave something for somebody else. Signed and put back the way we found it Smile

With the world's situation really surreal at present, having to venture out for a job meant a short escape tonight. And non-traditional caches for consecutive days. So, back to the old pattern of lone nocturnal forays.

Yeah, gloves and hand sanitizer are, even more, crucial bits of geocaching kit.

This was a bonus after a puzzle cache and a multi either side of midnight... a short walk from the car and a quick search by torchlight delivered the goods. The contents are nice and dry at the moment.

Thanks, deathbypizza.

And who knows when we'll get anywhere near the next caches...

Thanks Troy & J for the heads up RE: Water.
Been out to visit and hopefully sorted it this time. If it takes water again I think I'll be replacing the container

Decided to pick this one up after school with GeoKid (5 years old)
Approaching GZ we suddenly need a toilet! Lucky there are facilities 500M up the road.
Made getting to GZ a little longer than we planned, but were were able to quickly locate the cache after checking a few false leads.

I found it first, gave GeoKid a few hints and his eyes lit up when he located the cache! He was happy to swap a little treasure and we exchanged a travel bug we have had for a little while. Also picked up the one inside that wanted to get to the airport!

Thanks for this one.

A quick and easy find after work and on the way home.
First thought was “oh no, rocks!...”
The thought was quickly dispelled when the cache was isolated.
The container was deemed to be a bit top heavy and required special handling techniques to open it.
Replaced as found.

What a lovely wide walking path and nice area to take a walk. This certainly was a different cache container - cache was well planned and implemented.

This one was pretty much on the way home from work. Unfortunately I didn't spot the notification in time to chase the first to find but it did give me a good excuse to stop along the way. I haven't had as much time for caching this year so any reason is a good one.

After a quick walk around to gz I spotted the likely hiding place but then was distracted by a wandering gps rather than going with my caching instincts. After realising that the gps probably wasn't going to settle with the powerlines overhead I went back to the first place and made the find. An interesting container, I haven't seen one quite like this. I hope it doesn't get damaged by its surroundings. Thanks for the cache.
