Found with goldielover after doing the 3Capes hike. We moved up the road to a little town Orford. A nice place to visit and a great base camp for the two days it took to complete.This has to be the best power trail I have ever done. The amount of work you and some helpers have put into these is a credit to you all. I think this is the first power trail I have done also, with a 100percent find rate. All your co-ords were perfect and you had us going on a few of the trickier hides. We were stunned at the quality of most of them as well. If I had more favourite points to give, I would have. If these had been stand-alone caches, I am certain you would have more favourite points in the bag.When goldielover solved these back in Brisbane it was our intention to quickly grab them and accumulate a few badly needed favourite points. This trail is not how it worked out. I have finished with less than I started.It is a real pity I can't remember exactly each of your caches individually but i have given favourite points along the way.Sorry for the generic log. I have a hundred or so to do.Once again, thanks heaps for your great series. It has been a real pleasure to complete.TFTC

Back in 2022, cat' and I were thwarted by a grader moving way too slow, and a clock whose hands moved way too quick. This time, heading south from Rheban to Kellevie, we managed to sneak past the grader (yes he was back again, or still at it), and we did this stretch starting much earlier in the day. [^] We even picked up a couple we DNFed last time. TFTC&Series The Snake Charmers. We especialy loved the variety and enginuity of cache hides in this series, and your abilty to hide so many large caches in plain sight is astounding. [^]

27 June 2024 08:58 .Our third day in Tasmania after a wonderful couple of days caching Melbourne on the eve of our wedding, and working our way to Geelong ready to board the ferry here for our honeymoon. Sunday 23rd of June, to Saturday 29th of June, 2024, will forever be etched in our memories for all the right reasons.The Apple Isle sure turned on some awesome weather for us, you would not have believed it was June.This series was started on back in 2022, but we had to leave a few as the grader was working this section of the road, and we had run out of time anyway. Blow us down, but the grader was here at this same stretch again, but this time we were here early and they were just starting so we were able to get the job done without bothering them, or they bothering us.*There was one dnf, and 2 we couldn't get to because log trucks were working that section*dalerious and I enjoyed working through each puzzle, and we particularly enjoyed the variety of puzzles.Although I have used the above few paragraphs throughout logging this entire series, the information about the cache, hide and location will be found after the asterisk *. Unless there was status quo.

Today we headed out from our camp in Triabunna for another day on this fabulous trail. We did encounter the grader working on the forestry road but managed to still get all the caches in between his runs. It looks like one has been pushed aside by the grader and another I couldnt see. We were thwarted by muggle farmers at a 3rd hide. So as per my usual standards this will be another power trail which is unlikely to ever be completed .Another excellent day of caching, varied hides, lots of clever stuff and just good all round caching. Thank you again to the Snake Charmers for your amazing efforts, as I said yesterday this is a world class trail.Nice picnic lunch at the beach and back home to the Moho at a decent time for once .TFTC

TFTC. Over the past two days I have been working my way through the snake series. I had a couple of DNF's and a couple of incorrect co-ordinates and I believe one or two missing caches. The weather was beautiful although cold. All caches were incredibly well constructed and it must have taken considerable time and many visits to get this all set up for our enjoyment. This is the generic part of the log, for some I have added a bit more detail. Thanks you Stainless-steel-rat and gooseandegg, and anyone else who assist you have excelled. I have never driven this road before.

It was time for a return trip to Tassie to explore the southern part of the state. I paired up with OzHockeyChick for a 5 day caching blitz with some sightseeing in between. Today was Day 4 and we headed north east from Port Arthur to Orford and Triabunna via the TTSS trail with the sun shining all the way.

Finally working our way along TTSS and what a fantastic trail it is, far from a smash and grab powertrail!. Well thought out, good parking locations and great quality hides with some real treats thrown in.

The Garmin wanted us on the left here but the cache name and the clue had us noticing something on the right hand side of the road that was more appropriate. This one came with a resident lizard!! Thanhks.

While visiting on holidays we attended a few Cache Events and everyone has said we have to do The Tasmanian Tiger Snake Series.
Finally we've got around to it and completed the TTSS over a few days.
A couple of hours one day, a full day the next and a couple more hours on the third.
We thoroughly enjoyed finding all the caches, there was a nice mixture of containers and some very cool hides.
From now on when other Geocachers ask what are the good caches in Tassie, we'll be recommending they do this series as well.
Well done to all involved in setting the series up, the effort you all put in was fantastic.

A group of 11 of us from New Zealand came over to cache in Tasmania, stayed at Hadley Orient Hotel in Hobart for 3 nights, then 3 nights at Launceston. This is our last day here. Tonight it's back to Hadley's then fly out tomorrow afternoon. G-2 is our nominated driver and Pagenz (our tour director) and me are in our rental. We return the car in a few hours but we know we'll not finish this power trail, just not enough time.

Yep, lots of burnt stuff around, perhaps that's why I never saw a snake - on my terms i.e. Although we did see a monster of a spider on a sign a few days ago that would have been 100mm across inc the legs.

Love this series so much! Im late logging these as I didnt have reception at the time and never got around to remembering to update these ones. Backdated to the correct date for when I signed! We’ve been meaning to come back up Wielangta road for a while now but the weather and other things have always intervened.
Today was the first opportunity in three weeks to come up this way with nothing else scheduled and no rain according to the bureau, though it did rain twice but not for long.

We planned on entering Wielangta road from the south to look for our only DNF in series, and also to grab a traditional near Copping that we missed last time.
We drove straight past the trad as there was caravan parked at GZ and decided to get it on the way back.

It started to rain semi heavily as we headed towards Wielangta road, and it was still raining when we arrived at “TTSS - Round the twist” - our only DNF in the series from a month ago. The rain had stopped by the time our half hour search ended but we hadn’t found the cache.

So we drove further up the road planning to have another look for that one the way back. While the road was a lot busier than it was the last couple of times that we had been here we only had one cache where we had to come back because of muggles.

We kept going up the road collecting all the caches on the way including many that will get favourite points.

We also collected the TTSS caches on Earlham road and Rheban road, doing Earlham first and then onto Rheban which we followed up to spring beach before coming back down Wielangta from the north to get the nine caches there that we missed last time.

We managed to find to all fifty three caches in this series that we hadn’t yet found, including Round the twist. We also found the Copping cache as well as one other to make a total of fifty five finds for the day.

The time and effort put into this series is incredible, as are the cache locations, names and, of course, the containers.

Spotted the object in the hint and made a quick find.

Today we found TTSS - Get Shorty on our travels. We are on another visit from Melbourne just because…well, maybe it’s all those puzzles we solved during those many lockdowns! Having the opportunity to sign some actual logs is exciting!

After solving all of this series a few days ago in preparation we decided to see how we would go today. The goal for today was 100 finds in a day.
We ended up looking for 92/105 of this series (and found 9 others to reach 100) and only had one DNF.
The cache containers were all well sized and it never got boring with a lot of nice hides. Several favourite points were given out.

Exploring Tasmania with hellyonfire cache by cache. The weather has kept us on our toes and our ears frozen, and we enjoyed every moment. Thanks to all the cache owners for the creative hides and/or great locations.

Headed to Tassie with my muggle driver to complete some geoart and this high scoring series has been on our radar for quite some time. Did not disappoint in the least. Had a great 2 days completing this series, had mostly hits but also a few missus which just means we'll need to come back another time to complete. Thanks CO's for the caches. They were absolutely awesome and great fun to find.

Second day In Triabunna today, going to tackle some more of the snake letterbox run. Worked this series out several weeks ago. Thanks to The Snake Charmers for the caches.

On a road trip from Hobart to Stanley with my mum over 2 weeks. We visited a number of towns and we were mainly targeting Virtuals and Earthcaches due to the amazing locations they take one to. We did pick up the random traditional, multi, puzzle, wherigo and even a couple letterbox caches whilst travelling.

After a nice sleep in Port Arthur, we had finished out planned 4wd Buggy Tour and now we were making our way to Triabunna for tonights accommodation. We collected some caches along the way, including some of the TTSS caches, but only a couple.

Nearly parked on it.

We decided to start our quest from the point farthest from Orford and work our way back towards town. We really enjoyed all the caches we found, the hides are very clever, the cache names are great and we really appreciate the work that has gone into the series. Sorry for the generic logs, favourite points for the ones we liked best

The handle was appreciated to grab and twist. The nail in the lids caused havoc with the log a little.

Trip log: Day 4 of 5 with GreyHams on our Tasmanian Caching Trip. A trip planned with counties, and caches of quality as we pass. If your cache made our list it had a quality we sort... thank you for your cache!

Today's focus was the TTSS, so many letterboxes - we had more to do than time allowed but the focus was to try for as many as we could, and all of the larges. With the colder weather that was okay but forcast of rain and possible wet muddy roads, well, this was about to get fun!

As it happened we never did get the rain, it wasn't so cold and the roads were not really muddy but oh did we still have fun! definitly the BEST letterbox series I have ever completed and I will go as far as to say I doubt it can be topped. I gave out SO many FP's, the names of the caches, the containers, ALL the larges and the humour. It just kept giving and we just kept going taking our time and enjoying each creative letterbox along the way.

Out of time on the series it was off to each new county we still had to complete... and they needed to be completed by the end of the day. A night time wildlife encounter drive delivered a huge number of wombats and little hoppy things, we luckily avoided them all as we wound our way through forests in the dark along the way into Launceston for the night.

Super enjoyable day through the typical amazing and changing scenery Tasmania has to offer.

One of the best series I have ever done. So many great containers.....in fact most of them were fantastic. The names, so funny, so well done. I am giving every one a FP as they nearly all were awesome in some way

Aquilus1 and I have been on a mission.....a mission to collect Australian states/counties. The target this time was Tasmania, with neither of us having found a cache yet in Tassie. So a loop was planned, starting/finishing in Lonny (even the plane pilot called it this!! Love that!). I was driving so my logs are a little more generic than Aquilus1's, my apologies.

Day #1 Leave Canberra at sparrows, transiting through Melbourne and collecting our car....first things first was to get the oldies along the cataract gorge, which was great as Aquilus1 had never been to Tassie before and its a great place to start. Onwards up the Tamar and then zigzagging across through Devonport, Burnie and eventually ending at Stanley.

Day #2 had us go back to Devonport for a FTF......yay! Then onto Hobart, via Queenstown! Long day through blizzards, hydro power and SO MUCH NOTHING! Beautiful nothing of course

Day #3 around Tassie.....into Huon valley, freezing to death in the water in Clarence, passed Port Arthur to see some caves and ending up in Sorrell

Day #4 was power trailing large letterboxes until we had to head back north to Lonny, via Buckland, Oatlands, Fingal and Scottsdale..... dodging wildlife after dark.....so scary!

Day #5 was a quick duck over to Flinders and back..... car rental place thought we were nuts! Then back to Canberra, safe and snug under my blanket for the -5 night.....now THATS cold!

Before leaving Victoria we solved many caches so there are plenty of caches we want to grab (not only solved caches but old caches, favourited caches, challenges and caches that help with challenges) however sadly we will not be able to find them all.

This is another of the letterbox's i've put off logging, simply to drag the new challenge they've thrown out a little longer. I needed just the last solar system wonder - the jezero crater - to gain the last two souvenirs, so put it off as long as i could for no reason whatsoever.

I solved the Tiger Snake series soon after it came out. But had been holding off on collecting them as I had an ambition to complete them all in a day. In order to do that, I thought I would need some help from another cacher, or a driver, or both. As it happened, the stars were aligned and a trip was in order today, with a driver who is (until today) a muggle, and not used to travelling with passengers as she's more for 2 wheels than 4. We set off at 5:00am from Hobart, collecting the third member of the party (smallwombat) from Huonville, had an over-priced toastie and coffee at Sorell and picked up a couple of caches in Copping before starting the Wielangta Road southern end around 08:20am. As it turned out, our designated driver knew Wielangta Road very well as her sister lives on it! Our journey took us up to the picnic area, onward to Orford for lunch (because muggins here left his lunch - not onion sandwiches but ham cheese vegemite tomato lettuce and onion in the fridge, and muggins here also forgot to mention to one member of the party to bring some) and back down with the aim of tackling Rheban Road back up to Spring Beach. A research mistake meant that my assumption of which bridge was out was incorrect, and only busted once we were on the wrong end of Rheban Rd and could see the bridge in question at about 4pm. It was at that point that we decided to "call it" and not travel back up to Orford, back down for 13 caches, back to Orford and back to where we were because that would make us late for an impromptu visit for our driver that was locked in. In the end we had 12 non-TTSS finds for the day; and all of the TTSS series found bar the 13 past the (missing) bridge on Rheban Road. Muggins here might have accidentally written the wrong date in a few caches. The pace of some of the finds - I was barely remembering my name to write in the logs. Smaller logs were signed as "JA/SWB/E" or similar. There are some truly excellent caches on this series and many of the titles and hints were met with surprise, chuckles and the occasional dad-joke groan. I have tried to leave fav points but I don't think I have enough. I really appreciate the effort that The Snake Charmers have put in scouting locations, making and placing these caches, and maintining them for our enjoyment.

Today was our first day of this big tour through this forest.

Day Two of attempting to tame the serpent and putting it to the Snake Charmers ! The day starts bright and windless. Looks like its going to be a warmish exercise. Shorty has a handy handle for hauling hence to sign the log. Thanks for another.

Day 1 of the Snake. Bit of a cloudy and drizzly day as we set out to find the Caches in this series after a great weekend on the East Coast attending the Events held. Found with CoxFamily7310. Such a great weekend away.

Thank you SSR and GooseandEgg for the huge effort making the Caches and planning and placing them here for us to find and enjoy. The range of different containers and hiding places kept us excited to see what would come next.

After solving this series it was nice to get the opportunity to get out and find them. I travelled with Merilyn Tas and after events in the swansea are we spent 2 nights in Orford ready for a big day out caching.
Unfortunately we didn't get them all done in one day as the BLOODY engine light came on the car so we had to knock off early afternoon. The poor little car had just got hot, its only a little Gutz and the road sign does say sections suitable for 4wd vehicles only!! I sure seen the biggest pot holes I have ever seen. For a road that I thought would be not used at all it was surprising the amount of cars we seen. Day 1 we found 67 and 38 on the second day we were lucky to have no DNF as most had hints to help us out. Was also happy to celebrate my 800th find along the way and Merilyn celebrated her 500th.
Wow what an amazing series so many different container types of along the way. So much time and effort put into making this serius possible you boys have done an amazing job...im sure you have shares in a pipe company.

On a trip down to Orford to search for the Tasmanian Tiger Snake Series of caches in the Wielangta National Forest.
We found all of the snake caches great fun, some very funny cache designs. A lot of thought has gone into the design of this series. The caches are of good quality and co-ords in most cases are very good. Exception is down to swirly GPS and not co’s. This series is like having an up sized big mac meal. When you do the series, you will know what I mean.
Nearly every cache has good parking and access to GZ.
Well done to the Charmers on a brilliant series. No wonder you are collecting a lot of favourites.

The puzzles for this series were solved some time ago in preparation for the right time to head off to find them. What time could be better than a birthday weekend for Mrs Coder, with the addition of completing our 500th find! Having headed down from the NW coast for the trip we were able to complete the series with one overnight stay, and take time to explore along the way. All caches were found in excellent condition, with only 3 dnf's which we expect may have become casualties of a flood. With such quality caches placed, we took the time to appreciate the effort put into each of these, and ensure that all bags containing the log book were sealed (which unfortunately many of them closer to Orford were not).
This is by far the best trail we have completed so huge thank you to SSR and gooseandegg for their mammoth effort.

While I was getting the log out RoadieM let out a bit of a chuckle when she made the connection between the cache name and the find. Cant say it too many times - we have enjoyed this mailbox series with all our "HEARTS'.

out and about with two Rafas caching. after doing all the figures it was noted that I was 7 away from 2000 Cache finds, being a mark that is celebrated by cachers I decided to make the 2000th find a cache from the TTSS series, seeing that many hours of work was put in to this series as was 2000 caches over 7 years in my case, so off we went to Orford and a walk for Rafa before searching for the first of 13 caches we found on the day. TFTC TNBPLN log dry. lots of places but there were car turning up at the very moment of retrieval every time so diversion were needed.

Hello The Snake Charmers.

With both RLD4963 and I on holidays at the moment, we have been getting quite a few geocaches found as we visit various places. Last night, RLD4963 decided that with just 7 geocaches to find before he reached his 2000th find milestone, that we should head out to the TTSS series so that he could tick over number 2000 on one of the caches with lots of favourites.

The GeoGSP came along for the drive today - we weren't out to finish the series - just enough to get RLD4963 over the 2000 mark - so it was an earlyish start before it got too hot on this very smoky day.

We drove to Orford and headed south today, ending up with a total of 13 finds before heading home for lunch (still about 25 up our sleeves for a rainy day).

We noticed that the road was much more corrugated than our first visit to find some of this series back in July. We also noticed that this road is used heaps - we were passed by at least one car every time we stopped today, often multiple cars.

Another quick find, another excellent cache. Love your work Snake Charmers.

I managed to pass by a cache. TaurusSix stopped to do a U-turn. In the process I noticed were were on top of this cache, so we got it before heading back.

When I briefly met the COs at the Gong mega last July and they said “if you’re even in Tassie…” I had no idea that six months later, I’d take them up on the invite. Actually, barely two weeks ago today, I had no idea I would even be joining J+J this trip but here we are, third of an impromptu six days away and easily ticking off this trail. By the time I returned home, had kick started 2020 with 355 interstate smileys (about a third of my average yearly total) thanks to four geoarts and numerous finds along the way. Mostly good co-ordinates, clues and some creative camo made for a successful day out with a muggle driver and two experienced eyes free to hunt. Apologies for the generic log unless additional comments required. Nice extra touch to the camo earns this a favourite point

We’re travelling in Tassie with Mizmaz .This is our 3rd day and we are targeting this series. This is a great series, with good coordinates and great containers with plenty of variety.

Fast and fun find with Cache_Lee during a day’s adventure off the Noordam. I had tried to partner up with a local for the TTSS run via the Facebook group for Tasmania and managed to find a teammate from Hawaii! We picked up a rental car as soon as we disembarked the ship and made the drive to the furthest north cache in the series and scored a bunch of smileys on our way back to the port. Perfect coords, names, and hints. I greatly enjoyed this series! Looking forward to the Farewell 2019 event in Hobart tonight! Thanks for the fun, The Snake Charmers!

A visit to the south of the state gave us the opportunity to complete this series.

Starting from the Copping end we snaked our way towards Orford. A total of 7 hours on the trail including breaks.

What a fantastic series. We were impressed with the quality of the hides and the attention to detail. The well stocked caches and variety of hides made this an outstanding series.

Found on the second day of a short visit to Tasmania catch up with family and friends.

After arriving in Hobart the previous afternoon, I picked up the hire car then headed towards Orford, primarily to do the TTSS letterbox/puzzle series, and also to see some friends that live there. The main cache targets for the day were the ones along the Rheban Road between the Wietlanga Road and Spring Beach.

Today I headed south again from Orford, completing the other 90 or so in the series and opportunistically picking up one other traditional along the way.

All of the caches were found without any problems and in good order, and I have allocated a few favourite points to some of the TTSS caches that I enjoyed.

With a planned event this weekend postponed we decided to use the gap in the calendar to check out this fantastic series, we've thoroughly enjoyed these inventive and often surprising finds. Thank you so much for the time, thought, creativity and effort put into these. A truly beautiful part of Tassie to explore.
We began caching at 10.32 and our last find was at 7.50pm, almost all of the caches were easy, quick finds.

We almost got caught by the nearby distraction but that didn't last, log signed at 3.53pm.

The Tasmanian Tiger Snake Series was published while we were on the northern island but it became a high priority for our return. Today was the first opportunity to look for the series and we arrived in Orford at about lunch time. Unfortunately it was raining and continued to do so for most of the afternoon. Despite that we had a great time finding 65 caches in the series before we stopped for the day.

Without any hesitation we can say that the Tasmanian Tiger Snake Series is one of the three best trails in Australia that we have attempted, and we have certainly tackled quite a few. The planning, cache preparation, attention to detail, creativity and the cache hides are of the highest quality – some were superb. Over dinner tonight we contemplated the caches to which we should award favourite points. The superb and outstanding caches were obvious. However, as we looked at the others we recognized their very high individual quality and compared to others we have recognized recently, we concluded that all Tiger Snake caches that we found today should be awarded a favourite point. The only regret was that we could not award multiple points to some caches.

One interesting observation was that for about the first 30 cache finds, completed while we were in forest areas with low cloud and steady rain, the caches were consistently 6-7m from the confirmed coordinates and that was the same for our two GPS units. For the latter half of the caches, when the rain decreased and we were in a more open environment, the coordinates were consistently very good. Strange!! For the first 30 or so we found, the hints were very helpful and reduced our search time.

Accurate coordinates and the hint led to a quick find. The cache and contents were in very good condition.

Congratulations gooseandegg and StainlessSteelRat on an outstanding series. We appreciate the efforts that has gone into all aspects, from the initial concept through to the placement of superbly crafted caches. You have created the best trail by far in Tasmania and one of the best in the country.

We will attempt to look for the remaining caches in the series tomorrow.

Been meaning to get out to all these “snake” caches but knew we would need a full day to collect them all and today was that day. We started off early and had planned to have lunch in Orford and then finish the loop off. We accomplished all of the 99 “snakes” (had collected 6 on the day of publication) and 1 other cache in Orford. We had heard wonderful reports on the quality of these caches and they were true. Luckily we have a lot of favourite points to give out. The road has deteriorated, since we were out this way when caches were published and we had to dodge huge holes with water in them but it was worth the rattling along and zigzagging all over the place!

Now with full bellies and COFFEE.......(couldn't believe that the 2 food places were closed so we had to go out of town a bit to get something to eat!) we start the drive south. A quick find and we may beat the rain if we continue to find them quickly.

Today I headed out with gridge98 to complete the TSS series along with some other caches to and from home. A great day out and an awesome trail that is a must do.

This was the target of the day, with the largest series of letterbox caches in the country to date it was a must do on my trip to tassie.

A great series full of a variety of hides and some well crafted caches. Definitely not your normal power trail. We enjoyed the creativity on some of them. Some took some searching as the co ords were a little out but the hints were all good.

In total all but 4 were found in 6 hours.

Today was a long day out but purely for caching with JLrockstar, we decided that we would head down and tackle the new TTSS series starting near Orford. Followed by a few other caches. All together a total of 121 finds for the day.

Today was our last day looking for the Tasmanian Tiger Snake Series and it was completed with mixed feelings. A sense of achievement was tempered with the realisation that it would probably be a long time before we would again be provided with such a great series of caches to find. As already expressed in previous logs we were ‘gobsmacked’ by the quality of the hides, caches and swaps. Thank you seems most inadequate for all the time, effort and generosity you have put into creating the series but thank you we do.

Today EeePees and I headed off to find the rest of TTSS caches with all of the cords plotted and the battery well charged there was nothing to stop us today.

As expected the quality of caches was excellent. As the driver I was supposed to stay in the car and work out the next easiest cache to drive too, but I couldn't help but to get out and have a look at a few of them and even managed to say I'll go and get this one.
But this did cause a little problem near the end of the series where I missed a road and had to come back for the last few caches along that road.

I know EeePees wasn't worried but I know if this was a rally valuable point could have been lost.

I am logging this cache today as I was the beta tester for its’ hide many many times now, rather than leave my log at that, I will tell you the story of how (as I remember it) this series came about, since we have both been asked a lot of questions from the finders so far.
Before I carry on, I will say I was up this way with the CO fixing up some minor issues with the series since they were published so now feels the correct date to log them all as we called in to check on them.
You will note I say ‘as I remember it’ since we disagree on how many visits we have made to this area during the placing of this series, I say 14 I’m not sure what the Gooses’ count is.
We had been on the lookout for a location to place a big series for a long time and had spent many days driving back roads all over the Southern half of the state before we came across this one, for whatever reason we dismissed all of the past locations for small or big things one of us didn’t like.
So, 9 months and 1 day before the publication date of the series, we first scouted this area (and found the few caches out there already) with work and normal family life we drove up this way whenever we had the free time on the weekend. The first trip we just wanted to see if we could find a large percentage of the locations on the first pass, well we found 44 locations that day and it was at this point we said we could make this work as a series.
My shed for a time looked like a cross between a plumbers’ merchants and a camouflage factory, we had a bit of a production line going. Many weekends were spent making and painting containers, if we wanted to go caching at the weekend, well we had to do some week nights to make up for it, but we had the wood fire to keep us warm into the night so it wasn’t too bad.
It was a bit of a rush to get them all out since we had set ourselves the goal of having them ready before we headed off to the Gong Mega, with all the backend work of images and listings done we submitted them all for review and Balayang was good enough to do them all as a batch and publish them all when we wanted.
Thanks to Mrs Rat and the Egg for putting up with months of our antics.

An early morning start to come and search for more of this great series
The weather was drizzly when I left home and was much the same when I arrived at the first cache - it improved immensely a short time later which helped add to my caching day
Found 33 of the series today - all varied finds and appropriately named - before returning South to visit with Mum
I thought I had got "SHORTY" before;
The cache was Sainted at 1241 hours
Today, it was a round trip of 262 km in the car and even though most caches weren't far from where I parked, I managed to walk 7.45 km utilizing 9424 steps whilst burning 1630 calories

Today we thought we might find the 35 caches needed for the "Mystery at the Museum" to crack open the safe so we headed off early to the Wielangta forest knowing we had more than enough caches there to find. After finding what we needed we continued on to find 44 which meant our 7000 th cache find was obtained doing this fantastic geo art. Ok we reached that target and then thought, not many to go until we have them all so this was number 47 of 75 found.
We had a fantastic day, the hides were well stocked, very creative and made use of the surrounding environs. The containers were well cammoed and we hope the shares in your plumbing store have gone up! Not to mention the world is now a safer place because all the ammunition has been removed from ammo cans and geocaches hidden within. We laughed at some of the names as they made more sense once at GZ. The hints provided were appreciated. A very big thank you to you both for setting this series up. We just wish we had enough favourite points to give one to each cache. TFTLB.

One of 3 caches in this series that we opened up on 8th September only to find that we signed the logbook on 20th July! We even got FTF, such idiots haha! It seems to be a common occurrence for us to forget to log caches, it would be very interesting to know how many we have really found! TFTC!

A trip to Orford for a launch event for this series and even the early start was greeted with a great breakfast made by Chef's Goose and Rat, with leading hand Saint helping out. After a hearty breakfast - more than anyone could eat - a great number of caches were released. Mainly letterboxes - tick, a lot of large sizes - tick, and on the trip back to Hobart - tick.

The caches themselves turned out to top the event, which I thought was going to be hard. Unfortunately, I think I would want to give favourite points to each and every cache. Most deserve it.

Anyway, We found 40 of the 105 on the day, when we decided to leave the rest for any day or two. We could have probably pushed on, but there was only so many we could solve on the run. This included 17 first to finds, some joint with others! Also included in the above 40 are 5 caches that we didn't work out the coordinates to, a bit of deduction got us the finds!!!!

Huge thanks for the cache, the series and the event.
