Wow did I over think this last visit. All good today. Gotta love a smiley face on the map. Thankyou for placing and maintaining it.
after logging a DNF previously, Im happy I can now turn this frown into a smile. thankyou for the cache, and thankyou for the little FTF prize!
**LONGEST NOSTALGIC NOTE IN THE HISTORY OF ALL NOTES* They allow 4000 chanceries I couldnt help myself. Promised myself I would not cry though! I am the owner of this here confirmed AWOL & MIA cache. Bit of a bummer its gone actually *sniffle* to anyone else sure yes it was a random, super ugly chunk of concrete waste material but that heavy toad of a rock was my first lovingly handcrafted container and I was proud of the big nugget. I had so carefully drilled a hole and concealed the tin for the log in there, I really was so chuffed to bits with it at the time. Why would anyone make off with the ugly loaf of concrete? The answer is they wouldnt, they probably didnt, for once in their shady lives, whoever they are. LOL These things happen. After all, nug-nug was lounging here with newfound purpose for about four years. If you ask me, thats a pretty exceptional innings for a cache but especially one which was an otherwise useless and unwanted block of concrete. Its probably just been kicked or chucked in to the shallow drain which runs parallel to this road. Im pretty sure I could see it down the embankment but Oh well. Let us not dwell on caches in the past, caches loved & lost. After all its better to have loved caching and lost a cache than to never have known what the love of caching is at all. My second homemade cache container I am super happy to see, is still alive and well, just down the path a way. A chunky top of a bit of fence I found like a kid finding a buck in the gutter man I was so happy with how cube-like it was. I remember running home to make it in to a badly hinged but darling none the less, wooden box just the right size for its job really. Why not go find that one whilst youre here finding this one which I have now replaced. There is a trinket for the first to find the replaced cache too. It says got cache? On one side and from Lockchick on the other. I was learning how to engrave on metal so its a dog tag in the shape of a bone. So random I know. Very rare and highly collectible though Being the only one I ever made
Replaced the cache which was not here no more see the epic note lol Now a much smaller cache youve seen one like this before, its not as unique but it is replaced and ready to go
The cache appears to be in need of owner intervention.I am temporarily disabling it, to give the owner an opportunity to check on the cache, and take whatever action is necessary. Please respond to this situation in a timely manner (i.e., within 28 days) to prevent the cache from being archived for non-responsiveness.If you require more time please be sure to post a note (not an email) explaining the situation and how much more time you require. For ongoing issues please ensure you visit the listing and post a new note every 28 days to keep everyone up to date or the cache will be treated as an abandoned cache and archived without further notice.
just like the last log for this cache, I was unable to find it. had a look around, wasnt able to find anything. this cache may be there somewhere and I wasnt looking in the correct spot, or this may need a checkup and possibly a replacement
At furlong bike ride, and this was my fifth stop, and my first DNS.I had been provided a photo of the container, and could not find anything that not only fit the hint, but had a container inside. I searched out a good 25 meters. It could still be there, and I just suck. But I wont be back unless its been verified to still exist. But Im still having a great time
Im taking a stroll from Mawson Lakes to Northgate. The container could definitely be there, I just didnt search for very long.Having a great day, though!
Found on the way past this arvo, nice camo and all good here. Cheers.Find #6336 on 29 Sep 2023.TFTC Lockchick!SAs Leap Year Event - GCA1DNA - Feb 29th, 2024. Keep the date free!

A slight detour on my walk this morning. The log was full but I managed to squeeze my initials in. FP given to this nicely crafted cache
That was an amazing cache to find at night with the soundtrack of frogs chorusing in the background!

So venturing out to the depot in Cavan to collect it and hopefully collect one or two caches along the way too

Lots of rubbish nearby so not sure if any of what I saw was the cache or if its missing
Thanks Lockchick for the cache. In the area collecting a package. So close, had to stop.
A quick grab while picking up a parcel from a nearby depot. Great hide. Favorite point from me. TFTC.

Enjoying doing some more caching while travelling with goingplaces2 and adding more smileys to the map. Had a good day and signed all the found logs. Doing some LGA's where we haven't cached before. TFTC.
Another part of today's target was to pick up some caches in LGA's of Adelaide that have not been done before. Enough were found to fulfill this aim with ilook4geo. There was no difficulty in locating the hides and signing the logs with two more names. Each target cache was chosen purely at random. Thanks for this cache placement go to Lockchick.
As I approached the cache I thought That's where it will be, but it wasn't. But really it was! Great hide!TFTC
Staying in Gawler Gateway for a bit. Today we headed out to Dry Creek to pick up a part for the caravan.
Managed to convert a few solved puzzles and caches in the area to smilies.
Looked and looked in all the suitable spost.
No luck here. A DNF for us today

Toured the Mawson Lakes and Burton areas in search of geocaches after attending the 'For the Early Birds! #21' and 'CITO - George Street Wetland' events earlier in the day. Came to the conclusion that caching around Mawson Lakes was not all that easy, with some tricky hides, difficult parking opportunities and a few caches that I couldn't find, some presumed missing. Looking forward to heading out north that way some time soon to search for the caches I didn't get this time! Thanks for the cache Lockchick!
Had an early onsite job over this way, perfect opportunity to grab a cache or two Nice quick find, tftc
Out this way to price something so thought I'd try again.
This time much easier.
Glad to get a blue dot off the map.

Out and about with my wheeled geocaching buddy and found this one while enjoying the sunshine!!! TFTC
After a Breakfast event Sir Spectre, mogni, Michells&Hound, JJ52 and I headed north to find some caches. Most of them were puzzles that had been solved with a few others along the way. A good day with good company.
Out and about with the Southern crew finding caches north of the city. Today the JAMS team consisited of JJ52, Allister W, mogni, Michele and Hound and sir_spectre. We had lots of fun and found lots of challenging hides.
Thanks to Lockchick from mogni

Out with the JAMS team today. All logs today stamped with the " JAMS " stamp. The team today was JJ52, Allister W, Mogni, Michells&hound and Sir_Spectre. Some caches were found before The Breakfast Club #9 event and many more after the event. The day was planned to get more caches with the work " Reel " in it but it turned out to more a day filled with " The Mare Hare " caches with others trads and multi's in the mix. A couple of Dnf's were cleared off the list, as those caches were missing on my last trip through that area and a fun day by all was had.
I replaced this cache entirely today. The build is as similar to the original as I could make it... size etc.
Good to go!
Good to go!
Yes, confirmed - the blighter is missing. I have started building a new one, should be up and running very shortly.
I needed a puzzle find and at least 3 caches today so Rex and I went caching tonight and found 4 caches: 1 puzzle and 3 trads[^]
Rex and I enjoyed a stroll down this path and over the creek to make this find after having made the previous find along the path[^]
Rex loves creeks and all the associated scents and sights[^], which kept him occupied while I searched for this cache
This one was a much quicker find than the last cache find, that's for sure!

Missed it over and over but found it in the end almost by accident. Brilliant hide!

Quick CO check on the way home. All is well, added some extra tape to keep it a snug.
I was passing not far from this cache today, so made a short detour. I parked quite close and knew where I needed to be searching as soon as I saw GZ. And it wasn't long before I had the nicely cammo'd cache in hand and my name in the logbook. Thanks Lockchick for the cache.
Cache #2301. Last of two caches found today.
This morning, I went to Mawson Lakes for business. After that, I found 2 caches on my way back to the office.
Parked nearby, and walked to the GZ.
Actually, I tried this cache about 3 or 4 months ago, with no luck. But today, I found it in the first place I checked. Nice hide!
Signed the log, and hid it back.
1 star difficult rating? It's at least 1.5 or 2 stars, for me.
Thanks for the cache, Lockchick.

Another Wednesday Wander for the Puzzled Puzzlers group. Today's plan was to go and try and rectify a few DNF's that we had been collecting lately, plus any others that we may be passing. Today's crew was myself, Doctor Owl, Blackadders and S.A. Sewer Rats zooming around in the Owl-mobile. Although I got two off the DNF list and had a further DNF at another I also added another two. Good grief. [B)]
Walking up from the partner cache to this one I was able to make a quick find. No for the walk back to the car! [^]
