Thanks for placing this one. After just landing in the airport I had a wander and grabbed some nearby caches. I am from Vic but cane here for my cousin's birthday. It is a beautiful area. #3 in Tasmania and cache #200!!
Big thanks to MapsOfTassie for placing this cache! Your effort brought an extra spark of excitement to our geocaching quest. This discovery was find number 1306 for us, marking another awesome moment in our adventures. Living and traveling full-time across Australia in our Toyota Coaster, we're always on the lookout for caches to uncover. To see more of our travels, feel free to follow our journey here https://linktr.ee/SalandAnth
L'ton expedition continues, whilst dodging the wild weather, winds and wain. Grabbed this one on our way out of town to progress a 10 stage AdLab. Now on our way back into town. Backed in off the road and eliminated a couple of posts before bringing up the goods. TFTC MapsofTassie
TasmaniaJoolay and I have travelled to Tasmania on a caching holiday. We are hoping to see as much as we can in four days and find a bunch of caches. We arrived into Launceston on a late flight and thank goodness we could still pick up the hire car. Our first stop was to look for this cache. Found quite easily by reading the hint and using the light of the iphone torch. It is so quiet with no traffic around. Thanks for the hide MapsOfTassie
Yay first cache for Tasmania. Long time planning to get here. Its late and just picked the car up so now this is found, time for accommodation. Fav for it being my first Tassie cache. Thanks for getting me out and about MapsOfTassie
Swampy and I decided to visit Stanley with the aim of adding Pine Nut (GC52EF) to my list of oldest caches found. After an excellent trip, visiting the Hydro Power Trail along the way, we continued heading North West caching as we went. We found many different type of hides, cache containers and conditions. We fixed what was needed and replaced as found. What they all had in common was getting 2 geeks outside for some exercise. I came back via Launceston and found caches there too. This find, Now That's a Shed!, brings my total to 1742 and was found at 12:39 on 10/6/2024.Thanks MapsOfTassie for playing the game and giving us another reason to visit this area. Your cache was visited by my trackables: TB9QQD2, TB9KZ39 and TB7HH81
Found this along with another one on the way home from melbourne! TFTC signed as Fletcher
In Tassie for the next few months. So many great places to visit and so many different caches to find.Dropping one of the sons off at the air port, so great opportunity to make this quick find. Thanks MapsOfTassie for placing the cache and doing the maintenance needed, so we can find this cache.
Yay! Glad we came back for another try- can see why we missed it but area has been cleaned up a bit. Thanks
A quick find whilst waiting for the Flinders plane to arrive. TFTCCheers,The Hancock Clan
Accurate coordinates made this a quick find , all's good at gz . Thanks for the cache MapsOfTassie
Looked and looked but to no avail. Lots of long grass around may have hindered our search.
Nice any easy one. Thought it would be hard as it says micro, but it's much larger than a micro. I'd say small for sure. TFTC
Now that IS a shed! There must be about 40 forklifts operating in there and about 300 employees.
Made the quick find and sign at 11:48 on 21/6/23.
An icy start to the day meant for wet grass but all is in perfect nic with the cache and the log within is dry as!

Out this way picking up Loz from flight. With time on my side and a break in the rain, dashed in for a quick find.. thanks..!!
What a shed and what a sunset. Admired the sunset for a bit too long and ended up having to get the torch out. This is the first time I have been caching by torchlight. Had 4 places to choose from and of course found it at the 4th! Collected a TB. Thanks MapsOfTassie.

A quick find on my way home. I wanted to find 3 today but only ended up with 2.
Parked the cache mobile over on the large gravel patch and walked up the footpath to GZ.
Has the cache in hand after a couple of minutes of looking in the wrong spot.
Thanks for the cache!

Getting away for a mountain biking trip with friends, we had planned on a holiday to Derby during 8-13/02/2022. For the most part, we spent our days MTB-ing Blue Derby (Black Stumps) trails, as well as riding Blue Tier Forest Reserve's trails, such as the upper section of Bay of Fires, Blue Tier and Atlas. There was an opportunity to find a few geocaches in Launceston before driving to Derby, and on our final day with our flight departure in the evening, we travelled back via Scottsdale and Lilydale, and visited a few spots around Launceston such as Cataract Gorge and Trevallyn Dam.
Today, with the majority of the group departing quite early back to Adelaide, it allowed a full day of heading back and checking out Launceston with our evening departure. We checked out Legerwood's awesome timber sculptures, before proceeding around Scottsdale and checking out a Bridestowe Lavender Estate. Other highlights including Tunnel's railway tunnel, and Lilydale waterfalls. After enjoying a Launceston bakery lunch, we then visited Cataract Gorge for a few hours (whilst completing *Launceston Cataract Gorge* Adventure Lab), walking along the gorge, and then proceeded to the lookout at Trevallyn Dam. Our final drive then took us to northern Launceston in Invermay, before checking out the City Park. A terrific day checking out this quiet Tasmanian city.
That sure are a few massive sheds nearby! We were able to make a quick stop on our way to the airport nearby, and I dashed across the road to grab this cache. It took a few minutes of searching around for the right post, and in the end, I thought the coordinates were about 7 m out. The cache container and logbook were in good shape. Thanks MapsOfTassie for the cache placement and ongoing maintenance.

In addition to this cache I got very muddy feet. C'est la vie! TFTC MapsOfTassie
Down in Tassie for a break before Christmas and continuing our travels around the country, wow the countryside is absolutely glorious. Happy to say we came up trumps here and walked away with a smiley TFTC
After visiting family nearby and finding a couple of other caches down the road we stopped to look for this one. We've driven past many times but have never bothered to stop before but looks like roadwork happening might make it more difficult to get to so decided to grab it while we could. TFTC
While out and about today we found a few caches on the way and this was one of them.
Cache and contents were in good condition.
Thanks for placing and maintaining this cache for our enjoyment.

Roadworks up the hill caused a long tail of traffic back to the cache. Had to admire the large shed and wait for the cars to move along. Cache is wet and lid has come off.
Finally we have made it to Tasmania from the mainland. Hoping to cache along the way over our 2 week holiday. Although a little grey it’s not cold so we will be able to see a few things and do some walks
So happy to be here and looking forward to what we will find.

A big shed and easy find. Log very wet so we managed to dry it a bit. Thanks....
TFTC,
Our 2021 Tasmania adventure is drawing to a close. There are 7 LGA areas in the north on this Mainland of Tasmania that will have to wait for another visit. We will get 3 as we move East today and another Old School Cache bringing our total to 9, might get close to finishing this challenge on our next trip.
We drove in anup to 3m from the cache before making the find and driving out the exit. Very well positioned.

Yes that is some shed, quick find on our way to the Easy Coast. Signed log and replaced, thanks to MapsOfTassie
Tftc! Out for a family drive to find some caches we have been meaning to do for a while. Log was wet - did best to sign.
After detouring through Leighlands Road to do a couple of caches on the way to Launceston, Mrs W stopped here to locate this cache. Boy that is a big shed. The cache log was extremely wet and Mrs W just managed to sign it. May need a check. TFTC
I found the cache after a short search. The log is wet, but I could write ok. A bit hard to not look conspicuous - the shed and me
This one took longer than it should have. But it was eventually found in a place we thought we had previously checked.
Got a beep from a passing vehicle while we were there - perhaps a fellow cacher??
The cache does need a bit of TLC though, the log was very wet and our pen struggled to write on it. A few previous entries were blurry beyond recognition.
Thanks.

Thanks for the cache MapsOfTassie. Yes, that is a shed! RLD4963 and I were making our way to Launceston for the weekend and stopped off here to look for this cache. A quick find, and a very apt title!
this name for the cache is correct it seems everything is big in the country and the shed will fit into this category, a simple find with the Mphone. TFTC TNLN log dry. just drove around the corner and the answers to the questions came quick, YES THAT'S A BIG SHED.
TFTC. Found on our TASMANIA ALL OVER journey. Join us on Facebook page of that name.
Touring Tassie and finding some caches along the way. Today was spent at Evandale to see the penny farthing races and enjoy the festival with Scotjohnos. TFTC
Suscoe was enjoying our last day in Launceston.
It turned out to be a mixed day weather wise with cloud, drizzle and sunshine later on.
There was also a decent breeze as well.
Thanks to MapsOfTassie for this hide.

Grabbed this one as it's been put out since I was last up this way, quick simple find by the goose, he was on form this weekend.
A quick drive up from Hobart to attend a CITO which involved an overnight in Ulverstone, we got to find over 40 hand picked caches, some were picked for their D/T others for their age and the due to a bit of good luck we got three FTF's but the stand out for me had to be one i couldn't get to 7 years ago due to not wanting to rock hop for over a kilometer in the dark.

We could have driven off road from our last find, and probably would have in SSRs car, but I drove around the proper way. Four choices here, found at the third one.
Thanks MapsOfTassie
An overnight trip to the 'sunshine coast of Tasmania' was arranged with stainless steel rat so we could clock up another CITO. We cherry picked a few caches on the trip, oldies, interesting D/Ts, some multis and a selection of GCAs as well. As always our list was bigger that time allowed so some were skipped. We were also lucky to score three first to finds which we were grateful for. Another good weekend away.
