Man this was tough. Took some time. But we eventually got there. What can I say, it's easier than expected but hard also. We were looking but not feeling enough. No bending over was required which was strange. Thanks for the long hunt!

01-Nov-24
Nope. 3 of us poked about. Found 1 decoy. But no luck. Thanks to JIB92 for the fun and the adventure.

I was searching and searching and even found the decoy cache but not the real one. I reached out to the CO who told me I was very close so went back and bingo there it was, great little cache thats is very relevant to the theme. Stamped the log and off I went to continue my caching journey. TFTC JIB92

24-Jul-24
Called in to Euroa again on our way home from Port Macquarie. Decided to try and get this one on the way to tea at the Seven Creeks hotel (good feed!). Was worried that it may be a difficult find due to the rating but it must have been my lucky day. Fingers on it straight away. TFTC

Man I hate machinery hides. It was exactly where I thought it would be. Found after looking in the same spot 3 times... Def's can't rely on cameras needed to just stick my hand in. TFTC

12-May-24
Such a cute cache container!

12-May-24
Very cute container, nice quick find TFTC

29-Apr-24
I had a good, solid search here but just couldn't find it. I'll try this one again next time I'm passing through.

25-Apr-24
We loved this one. Cache was awesomely themed

11-Apr-24
Really long search for this one. But found it and another one to add to the logs TFTC

26-Mar-24
Today as we start our journey to Canberra we stopped nearby for lunch. Made the find quickly. TFTC

25-Mar-24
These types of hides can go two ways for us. We either make a quick find or need to settle in for the day. Unfortunately it was the latter for us. After exhausting every possible hiding spot, we reached out to a PAF who guided us back to the very first spot we checked... badly SmileCoords are spot on. Thanks for a challenging hide JIB92. (unfortunately magnet is missing)

17-Mar-24
Took us a while to find it, other half found it while looking at a key chain someone had left. Great little cache TFTC.

17-Mar-24
After spending WAYYY too long searching everywhere and almost giving up, we had one last look and bingo, finally had the cache in hand.TFTC.

16-Mar-24
I have very vague memories of frustratingly searching for this one late last night on my stumble home.Came back this morning for another look but the market was in full swing nearby and so that wasn't happening.A few hours later though the place was deserted and I found it in the third place I put my hands. Thanks for hiding the cute little thing here for us and the interesting description!

11-Mar-24
Muggles galore today! Pretended to tie my laces and found it first shot. Thank-you fate! TFTC

11-Mar-24
Found it. Thanks : )

21-Feb-24
I called in here on my journey to Harrietville today. Although a muggle was sitting nearby, I managed to locate the well-themed container without raising suspicions. All in good condition, although the log sheet is quite a tight fit in the container, as noted by a previous finder. Thanks JIB92.

06-Feb-24
Euroa is not only worth a visit because of its caches. This cache was found in collaboration with *Filser1*.T4TC

06-Feb-24
Euroa was for TEMBO! and me, a surprise. We did not expect what we saw. The cache "Euroa war memorial" was yust the start. Thanks to JIB92 for hiding and maintaining the cache.T4TC Filser1

02-Feb-24
I usually hate the hides on machinery. Could be anywhere! Arhhh!!!! But hey, I retired last week & Ive now got all the time in the world. Found it. Love the container. TFTC

31-Jan-24
This never happens to me when searching these relics...it normally takes me forever, followed by a few PAF this morning, 1st place I looked..very chuffed ... placed a stone strip log in cache .things are a bit squishy, though

10-Jan-24
Quick grab during a lunch stop on our voyage further north. This was near the playground where our littlest ones stretched their legs. These caches are often hard to find but fortunately we laid our hand on it in one of the first places we looked. Recent rains have meant the log is a bit damp, but it's still signable (just). TFTC.

04-Jan-24
We arrived at GZ but the find was made harder due to the storms that passed through with water and debris everywhere. After a systematic search we found it. Love the look of the cache. TFTC.

20-Dec-23
When i arrived at GZ i heard myself groan and rolled my eyes...Not had great experiences previously on similar hides, but that was not the case today!Found my prize, signed the log and happily went on my way.TFTC

10-Dec-23
Nice spot and very cute container. TFTC!

05-Nov-23
Loved the appropriate cache container, very poetic. It does appear to be missing a magnet. All good, just had to duck and weave a few muggles on this beautiful Sunday morning. Thanks for the hide. A fp for the cache container.

05-Nov-23
Really interesting memorial. Well maintained and has lots of information. Thanks for bringing us. Love the cache container! Lots of muggles around, so it was a 2person job for us.Appears to be missing a magnet, so is at risk of being found by prying children's hands.

20-Oct-23
Cool little container

30-Sep-23
Camping nearby in Longwood, so with RoamingHowie, took a quick trip to Euroa to investigate the ice cream shop... Mmmmm Very yummy!Afterwards, we parked nearby and wandered over and began our methodical search. It wasn't too long before RH shouted "Got it!". Phew! That could have taken a lot longer. Thanks for bringing us here by placing this cache, JIB92 ~~

30-Sep-23
Day 28. A last minute plan had been hatched to make my by way to QOGM. Very little planning had been done but a very rough outline was in place and it was going to be a day by day trip.Back in Victoria and made it to Longwood to join a long weekend camp. Jumped into the car to head to Euroa for an ice cream and a cache.Fortunately this was a nice quick find given these can often be challenging hides. Thanks JIB92 for adding this cache to the worldwide collection for us all to enjoy.----------------------------------------------------------The 12 Days of Cachemas series is now live. Bit difficult but eventually found it! It was very obvious once it was found

23-Sep-23
Got it

17-Sep-23
A lot of potential hiding places but no luck in finding it

13-Sep-23
Too clever for me. No muggles around so I searched high and low on numerous different angles and poked my pen in places I didn’t want to put my hands. Hides on these structure always beat me cause there’s too many nooks and cranny’s.

10-Sep-23
This cache was one found on a trip away with Flintstone's for 4 days. We had the Geotour in Ballarat as our target, and made our way as far as Queenscliff.

Ballarat caching was a joy, and with the tour, we saw many lovely and interesting locations as well as stopping for many other caches as we passed. Lots of little walks helped with the colder first few days as well as being quite scenic.

A change of weather and scenery towards Queenscliff but the coast was a great place to visit with plenty to do and see. As always, more to do than there was time for, will just have to return one day! Thank you for your cache!

I have stopped in to look for this cache before, while waiting for the car to charge nearby. Back then, this was a giant muddy puddle after recent flooding, so we gave it a miss. Today, while once again waiting for the car to charge gave this another go. It took a little search but an appropriate and rather cute container was soon found with a blank log.

05-Sep-23
No luck today

23-Aug-23
Apologies on the enabling message all say probably fixed. The problem has definitely been fixed with the cache.

21-Aug-23
Log book as being replaced with dry paper and put in a waterproof bag to hopefully stop it from getting wet again if the area floods again. Hidden cache all good to go once more

21-Aug-23
Probably fixed

### **OWNER MAINTENANCE REQUESTED PLEASE** ###

----------

Hi there JIB92,

It looks like this cache might need some attention, as one or more seekers have indicated there is some sort of issue. The recent logs may contain more details about what sort of issues are evident.

The cache has been [**temporarily disabled**](https://www.geocaching.com/help/index.php?pg=kb.chapter&id=38&pgid=235), so as to remove it from search listings and discourage people from visiting this location, until the issues/s can be addressed.

**You do need to respond in some way within 14 days,** so others know you are on top of it, as well as indicating exactly what is happening with this placement - please don't let a lack of communication scuttle this listing.

#What you need to do:-#
You have a number of choices so pick the one that applies from this handy list:-

- **Check On The Cache** - once checked, place an Owner Maintenance log and then enable the cache.

- **Place A Write Note Log** - indicating a date when you expect it will be restored.

- **Adopt Out or Archive** - depending on whether you want it kept or for it to disappear.

Full details for each of the above choices can be found at [**GEOCACHE MAINTENANCE**]( https://wiki.groundspeak.com/display/GEO/Victoria) on the Regional Policies page.

You might wonder what happens if you don't pick one of the above. Well, when the cache is next checked by a Reviewer, if the issue has not been addressed, or there is no acknowledgment as requested above, it will be assumed the cache has been abandoned. Twisted

It would be far better if you decide, so please do something before then. Please don't send an email but instead follow the information/advice posted above.

Thanks for your cooperation,

Found reasonably quickly but as previously stated the log sheet is completely soaked. It’ll need replacing.

Shepparton is an area that we often drive through but has never been a destination. This Kings birthday long weekend we made it our destination to tick off some caches in the area
Dispite my initial response of another dam nano on a war relic, this was a nice easy find and a cool camo. Unfortunately the log is soaked and couldn't sign

Today was an absolutely amazing day for geocaching! I woke up early, packed my bag with all the necessary gear, including my GPS and hiking boots, and hit the road. The sun was shining, birds were chirping, and I was ready to take on the world of geocaching.

The first cache I set out to find was in a nearby park, nestled in a dense thicket of trees. As I approached the coordinates, I noticed a fellow geocacher making his way towards the same spot. We exchanged greetings and introduced ourselves, and it turned out we were both after the same monster of a cache.

We decided to work together and started our search, combing through the underbrush, climbing trees, and scouring hidden nooks and crannies. After what seemed like hours of intense searching, we finally found the cache. The feeling of pure euphoria and triumph that washed over us was indescribable. We let out a loud scream of "*FTF*!" (Even though it wasn’t), high-fived each other, and took a celebratory picture.

That was just the beginning of our geocaching adventures. We went on to find several more caches, each one more challenging and exciting than the last. We even stumbled upon a cache hidden under a waterfall, which was both thrilling and refreshing.

As the day wore on, we started to notice a strange phenomenon happening around us. Every time we found a cache, we felt a surge of energy and power that we couldn't quite explain. We joked about having tapped into "The Force," and laughed as we imagined ourselves as Jedi knights of the geocaching universe.

At one point, we found ourselves lost in a thicket of dense foliage, struggling to find the next cache. As we trudged through the underbrush, we suddenly heard a strange noise. It sounded like a person whistling a tune, but the source of the sound was nowhere to be seen.

Suddenly, a man appeared out of nowhere, seemingly materializing from the trees themselves. He was tall and lean, with skin as dark as coffee and an easy smile on his face.

"Hey guys," he said, "looks like you're lost. Need some help?"

We were hesitant at first, having been taught not to accept help from strangers. But there was something about this man that put us at ease. Maybe it was his friendly demeanor, or maybe it was the fact that we were all geocachers, united by the same passion.

Either way, we accepted his offer and followed him deeper into the woods. He led us to a hidden waterfall that we never would have found on our own, and we were able to find the cache that was nestled behind it.

As we signed the logbook and recorded our names, we turned to thank the stranger who had helped us. But he was gone, vanished into thin air like a mysterious apparition.

As we made our way back to civilization, we couldn't help but marvel at the strange and wondrous events of the day. We had found caches in places we never would have imagined, felt the power of "The Force", and even encountered a friendly stranger who seemed to have some kind of magical powers.

In the end, it was a day filled with adventure, fun, excitement, and unexpected surprises. We were all exhausted but exhilarated, our hearts and minds filled with the thrill of the hunt and the joy of discovery.

This was a day we would never forget, and one that we knew would inspire us to keep exploring the world of geocaching and all its many wonders. We couldn't wait to see what other amazing treasures were waiting for us out there, just waiting to be found.

So if you're ever looking for a great time and an adventure like no other, join us in the world of geocaching. Who knows what incredible treasures you might discover, what random strangers you might meet, or what hidden powers you might uncover? The possibilities are endless, and the rewards are truly priceless.

Approaching gz I thought no, no, no!!! my track record isn’t too good with these, but I was wrong today. The cache was soon in hand and the cache itself was so fitting.

TFTC. JIB92 for your cache Euroa war memorial that we found today.
We are staying at our daughter’s farm block just about mid way between Shepparton and Violet Town. A lovely start to to the week with sunshine. Went out driving to Longwood and then back via Euroa, caching as we went. It has been a longtime since we have been this way. We did a stint at a BlazeAid camp in Longwood after fires and I (Hans) had done many miles cycling out this way.
Saw the cannon and the heart sank. Thankfully a quick grab.

Find Count: 16294

Find 4136 on April 7, 2023

Found on day #2 on our way to the Rutherglen Mega.

Oh man... It's too early in the morning for a cannon cache... But thankfully found in a few minutes. All is well with the hide.

We are on our way to the Rutherglen Mega and stopped nearby for lunch. Approaching GZ we were a little dismayed to realise where the container might be hidden. These types of hide can take a while to find. Fortunately this was found after only a few minutes. Nice container. Thanks to JIB92 for the cache.

Found during a lunch break in this beautiful park. Thanks for bringing us here.

Hi JIB92,
I found your cache GC87XZV Euroa war memorial today, Monday the 3 Apr 2023 at 1:39 pm.
It was cache find number 7,737 for me.
Found while staying in the Rutherglen area for the Mega during Easter 2023.

Found with PamJ on our way to Rutherglen, well, Chiltern actually.

Thanks JIB92, for giving back to the game.

I did a lap of the implement,
and came up cacheless Razz

Due to unforeseen circumstances Mr Smokey Bear will no longer be a part of Team Smokey Bear and will continue his adventures as "SmokeyBearOG".

So I'm relogging all previous finds under my new account.
Unfortunately this log will not show the original logging date.

Travelling home, we stopped in Euroa for lunch. This cache was a DNF for me quite a while ago, however I think it really had been muggled. Today was the day to set things straight. I missed it in my "before lunch" search, but found it in my "after lunch" search. Glad to have another pesky cache on military equipment ticked off. Great cache container here.

16-Jan-23
Checked the obvious spots first and found nothing. Looked in a few other spots and decided to read some logs. One said to trust your instincts, which is what did first. So I did it again but more thoroughly, and what do you know…Tftc. Container is appropriate.

14-Jan-23
Thanks for such a cute find! Go with your instincts on this one

10-Jan-23
The day was heating up and stomach starting to rumble as we opted for this detour along the Hume. It's been a while since we did a cannon cache and though we missed it on the first loop, the second came up with the goods. Loved the container, great job! TFTC.

06-Jan-23
Check the Canon swear we had two tho before could be wrong. Hopefully holidays haven't had muggles take it

21-Nov-22
After much planning and waiting, the time had come to head south for a few days to attend the Whittlesea Mega.
So, with the car packed, the convoy consisting of us and Rapidlywild hit the road. Our plans for the weekend included grabbing this series as well as others around the area.
The Victorian weather was interesting, definitely agree with the four seasons in a day, but it didn’t dampen our plans too much.

Day 4 of our adventures and today we headed back into Whittlesea to attend The Day After Whittlesea - Market Day before heading home back to reality and work.
Time for a slow journey home picking up caches that had been published since we last ventured this way. All caches stamped with the trusty FFLL and RWLD stamp.

Thanks for the hide JIB92

21-Nov-22
We have been planning our Whittlesea Mega trip for quite a while now, and then it was postponed, so new plans were made. It was finally time to make our way down with a convoy of myself and the FFLL ladies. We had a big weekend around Whittlesea with the ever-changing weather, fighting some hay fever, and finding a range of cache types. We also managed to catch up with a few cachers we had not seen for a while. We had a great time away, so thanks to all the COs and event hosts. Apologies in advance for the generic logs across the weekend finds, it in no way devalues any of the hides, we just have a lot of logs to write up.

Last day for us picking up a few caches, attending the markets before getting on the road back to Canberra. We collected a few caches along the way but we were all pretty worn out after a big weekend. No issues with this one, log stamped with our FFLL & RWLD stamp.

Many thanks to all the COs (including the event hosts) and thanks to the FFLL ladies for another funfilled weekend away.

13-Nov-22
Cache has been fixed and returned have fun all. Just be mindful of snakes and spiders when looking for it since we have had the floods.

02-Nov-22
Apologies but cache will be back in place on the 13th of November. Sorry about the down time for this cache

02-Nov-22
Cache been fixed. Back on the 13th of November

31-Oct-22
Some advice from a reviewer: if you take the cache out for maintenance, take it offline. Owner maintenance logs are for restoring the cache.

30-Oct-22
Cache is currently being removed as of 29-10-22 due to it needing repairs after the major floods that went through Euroa last week. To be honest I was surprised to find it still there after this whole canon where it is normally hidden was completely underwater. Cache will be back in place on the 1-11-22 but just be aware there is still water around the Canon so shoes will get wet. Regards owner JIB92

#6111.
After visiting Melbourne for work, I decided to take a more scenic detour back home. This was the sixth stop for the day and I was left amazed at the beauty of the surroundings and this town. Thankfully this was a quick find, whereas past hides on these implements have kept me very busy. TFTC!
