Found myself with a couple of free hours in Toowoomba, so I couldn't waste them ...
Also, my geodog Scruffy wanted to do some caching as well

Staying in Goomungee for a few days. A lovely winter day so we headed out to find some caches around Highfields.

Oh we sigh when we see the compass pointing at one of these. To be kind I did the retrieving today which wasn’t too nasty. Tftc
Doing the crab walk along the edge of the bridge, avoiding the gaze of nearby gardeners, using the mobi to check underneath the railing. But nada Dismayed to think this was going to be another DNF
Wandering back along the gully towards Star the Geocar and spotted the cache around 2m from the bridge, just lurking in the rocks. Logged and replaced under the bridge railing. A bit damp inside so guessing it was washed away with recent rains. Happy now

Was at ground level, but I left somewhere immediately above that was not so obvjous or so flood-prone. YftC.

Chasing some caches in the Toowoomba LGA.
Great park development. Would love to revisit to see what the waterway with all its pipes and pumps turns out to be.
Log signed and cache replaced as found at 3:18 PM on October 31, 2021. TFTC, Wardy079

Day two of my outback adventure of heading to Cunnamulla for the QOGM. This morning it is grabbing a few around the Highfields area before picking up my passenger for the next part of my journey west.
I mainly concentrated on the Highfields park trail caches, there were a few that I missed last time I was here and then there was a couple of particular interest to me now. Some good hides and all caches were in good condition. Some fun hides and some easy ones. Logs were signed on all caches and then replaced as found.
Thank you to all the CO’s for the caches found today.
The people you meet, while I was walking to this one I noticed some people playing under the bridge. I said hi and are you geocachers, the two said g’day and then four little kids came out from under the bridge. We found the cache and little Brooklyn signed the cache. Nice to meet you Johnno and clan.

Tftc! Great hide. Was a little hard to get to on crutches though. Still found it haha
Loved this find a meter or two from coordinates but found and put back where I found it great hide
Find number 11 for the day. Fitting that it is cache 11 on the trail. Cool spot

After finding #12, this was my next stop... once again Monday lunchtime was the perfect time to look for this cache as I had the entire park to myself...
Spotted the likely GZ from the car, and sure enough made the find there shortly after...
Left Blaze the Campfire Travel Tag to carry on... tftc...

TFTC! Had to get down low for this one, a tricky little hide. Lovely to bring me to these parks. Now I know where they hold the new Highfields parkrun, as I had attended at the old course.
Revisited today after finding it back on 05 Aug 19 with _hitam but never logged online! Good to see still ok here!
Goombungee Day 2
Camp at the Goombungee showgrounds for a couple of days.
Todays trip was into Highfield out to Cooby Dam & return.
After 5 caches we realised we had a flat tyre so had to make a detour to have a puncture repaired.
We travelled to many new & interesting places, many dirt roads again today.
What an amazing sports complex, it was good collecting the caches in the area.

THIS ONE STARTED IT ALL!
We found it by accident being weirdos when we casually decided to xplr! Now we have become really into finding them! TFTC so glad we found this one by accident because this has now become a regular thing we do together! One of my favorite spots by far!

Many rocks but no geo. Another family of geocaches we’re looking but still no joy
Replace the cache as it has gone for a walk again.
It's now too small for swaps which may mean it lasts a bit longer

Found this one laying on the ground in plain sight, we phoned a previous finder to check where it should be and placed it where indicated, there is no longer the magnets to hold it in place and wind or kids may have knocked it down before we found it. Great spot and a good sized cache too.
