Had a great stay at lake Wallace overnight, up early and making my way home caching via the blue mountains.TFTC Wilbert67
cute spot but cache was VERY wet and almost impossible to write in the log. photo for proof just in case the writing doesnt stayTFTC!
What a great place. Could not see a thing because of the mist. No pen so took a photo. Thanks for the cache.
Hmmm. needed to stay and hunt a bit longerA lovely spot and great idea behind the cache
Publication of a new AL in Portland prompted me to make a nostalgic day trip to the town where I spent my early childhood years, a long long time ago. Stopped here on my way home intending to grab the trad near the entrance, but there were too many muggle campers nearby to bother. I instead headed over to this cache to at least get the numbers on the engine, and was surprised to see that the cache wasn't far away. Headed there and at first, the cache looked to be out of my reach, but I found a way and was able it to bring it to hand and add my name to what is a water damaged log book without much problem. Thanks for this nice quick multi Team Canary.
Got it. Over 2 days though.Had fun on the playground grabbed the info and walked back to our camp. This morning solved it and then went on the TRLT series.Came back to camp waiting for the rest of our crew then walked back down and find it.Even our tallest wasn't successful until kimmy533 used a nearby aid.Tftc
Find number 10192Gathered info and made a quick find at GZ Thanks Team Canary for placing this cache GC88AD9
I found this cache as I headed home to Adelaide after the QOGM events around Longreach. The plan was to be away for about a month. I travelled up to Longreach via Broken Hill, Cunnamulla, Charleville and Barcaldine, camping and finding caches of interest along the way. I am heading back home via Brisbane and the NSW coast to Sydney, then across to Adelaide. However my plans are pretty loose and subject to change, often on a whim! The weather so far has been good, albeit a little warm at times. I am hoping it stays good for the rest of the trip.I have had to be quite selective with the caches I have found as there are so many that I am passing. As a result I have mostly targeted non-traditional cache types, although I have also grabbed a few Trads opportunistically here and there.A nice, straightforward multi. Just how I like them and a favourite point for keeping it simple.Unfortunately the ants had decided to make the cache container their home (see photo). Otherwise, everything was in good condition. I gave it a good clean out before replacing it as found.. Hopefully they wont find their way back in.Thanks Team Canary for the cache, which has contributed to an interesting and enjoyable trip.
Made a few friends that tried to help a lot! Found with the other buttpirates
In the area with Desiree to visit the Portland art show & I do know the CO here, so why not.
Grabbed the numbers and sat in the drivers seat to work it out, lol.
There was a father and small child playing to my far right but what they must have thought, anyway, distractions enough.
Had a good look around GZ and couldn’t see anything that resembled ant infestation.
Sent out an SOS to the CO, but by the time he replied, I had returned the container without seeing any ants.
Nice little multi TC

Found the cache, but it's now the cosy home of a million ants. The pen is in pain so BYO.

This was fun apart from the campers too close to GZ. It was quieter the second time we came and we could finish the cache. Thanks.
We had to come back a second time because there were campers too close to allow a search. We enjoyed the cache in one of our favourite rest stops. Thanks Team Canary
It was the start of a week long geocaching expedition with team Canary, Brewmaker, Rainbow spirit, ziggiau and Fritz. This was our main meeting cache location where we all finally joined forces. While waiting for the rest to finally catch up I made a quick find here, but the cache was full of water. Luckily the CO was due to arrive soon for some needed maintenance.
Thanks for the cache

Spent a couple of days camping here, freezing cold but great spot. Grabbed the cache this morning before any kids got to the area. TFTC.
Found on Valentines Day, took longer than expected after overlooking early on! All's well that ends well, favourite point from us! Thanks for the cache!
To help stop the spread of Covid-19, the NSW Government has ordered everybody to Stay At Home, unless you are: shopping for essentials, receiving medical care, exercising or travelling to work or education.
While some people would regard going geocaching as a form of exercise, exercising has been limited to your Local Government Area or within 10 kilometres of your home. Additionally people are not permitted to leave certain councils except for authorised workers.
Who knows how long this current lock down will last? What I do know, as a health professional, is that every one of us has an important part to play in helping to keep our families, friends and the wider community safe in the fight against the spread of Covid-19, by staying home.
Due to the health authority’s directive, my observations of people breaking the law and finding geocaches outside these rules and the risk that if an infectious person finds one of the caches and another person comes along they could possibly become infected, I have decided to disable this cache and request that no one search for or claim a find whilst this cache is disabled.
Thank you for your co-operation. I look forward to enabling my caches as soon as the Stay At Home orders are relaxed.
Stay safe, Team Canary.

Weekend trip to Rylstone July 2021. I had decided to head out west to spend some time getting caches I was not able to on my last visit.
After a long drive yesterday, today was not going to be as far, and took me to Glen Alice, Capertee, Lidsdale and Portland. I am not sure if they have moved the train or not, but I failed to find an old cache on it some time ago. I was happy today's cache is a multi but was still a bit worried about the final GZ, until I noticed another option and found the cache there.
Thanks for the cache Team Canary

After spending the weekend with the CO it was only right that we stopped off for this one on the way home.
A nice little train that had a driver in situ when we arrived.
Managed to reach the cache, with a little stretch

After spending the weekend with the CO we had to do this one. At WP1 we found a young child in the driver's seat, but reassured the family we were not up to anything dodgy. A quick calculation and off to GZ where no TOTT was required. A conversation about geocaching to the family and we were on our way. TFTC
Wow, what a rare beast indeed. A Canary cache. I recall spending far too long and in vain searching that dam train many years ago. Today after a lovely lunch on the shoreline I headed over for some more trainy fun. As many has found before I was totally surprised by the journey I needed to take to collect the prize, but after much toil I managed to secure it.
Thanks for the cache oh Yellow One, and I did love your reminiscences, as I too have spent a few days and nights here with my two sons when they were little.

On my way to the Capertee Valley for a family boys weekend away, I decided to detour for just this one cache. I remember searching 7 times to find the previous cache located here. This one was a lot easier. I was surprised with the distance I had to walk to get this one. A nice little hide Mr TC. Thanks mate.

Gorgeous place! Birdwatcher’s paradise around the lake - juveniles and chicks around. Great Crested Grebe! TFTC.
I seem to remember trying to find a cache on this train before and failing miserably, glad to get a nice smiley today. Last overnight stop after a long road trip. Very cold & foggy this morning. TFTC

In Lithgow to visit family for holidays. Had a beautiful picnic by the lake. Stopped by, worked out co-ords then had CIH in no time. TFTC
Found this on the way home. All quiet early evening. Got numbers. Signed and replaced. TFTC
Quite an easy find. Here today to celebrate our grandsons 8th birthday with a bbq and some fishing. Cache was very wet but we dried it out a bit before replacing. Signed and replaced. TFTC
I abandoned my attempt to pick up this cache on my previous visit to Wallace due to the prevalence of mugglers. No problem this time. Found the numbers, did the calcs and made a quick find. Lake Wallace is one of my favourite places to go bird watching.
During our journey through Australia (from Darwin to Melbourne through the outback, one week on Tasmania and back from Sydney to Cairns) I found this cache.

Ooh a train! Bit bigger than the one I drive but I can see how it would work in principle. A really nice area here that I would never have visited had it not been for the cache. Collected the necessary info, sorted out the coords on a nearby seat and took the short walk to the final. Will come back again when it’s not so hot. Thanks Team Canary.
We looked at the train , I thought outside the box and cache was in hand thanks
Up in the mountains this weekend and oldmorty produced a list of caches to find around Wallerawang.
No trouble finding information to calculate GZ. That done, we approached GZ from the playground. Not sure we should go there. Upon reflection, I think we were the ones locked in, not the cache.
Thanks Team Canary for placing this cache here for us to find.

OCW frazeydaze around Wallerawang on a warmish Saturday morning. This was the first cache of the day and after doing the sums it was soon CIH for oldmorty while frazeydaze played engine driver. TFTC
Headed north for a caching weekend away with fitzy_1965 & GLISS!
Quick calculation for GZ but came up with nothing. Contacted CO and got the OK for placing a replacement. Sent photos to CO.

19,284. Found during a weekend caching meander with minniek and GLISS!, and an awesome time was had.
We attempted this Multi yesterday, but after gathering the required info and checking out GZ we came up empty handed. Contacting the CO we were advised that we were in the right spot. So with their permission we replaced the cache for them this morning.
Thanks Team Canary !!

Out hunting caches for the Mystery At The Museum and decided to come grab this one on the way home in the dark.
After getting the "All clear" from the Highway patrol RBT and Drug testing set up just off the Highway it was back to the task of caching.
Took a minute to spot the required info and another to sort the final co-ords.
Quick, easy find and sign at GZ.

While travelling towards home we had listed just a few caches to do for the morning with ilook4geo. The numbers worked out well for this one and it was a quick and easy find. Two more caching names were soon noted on the log. All was then put back into placed before we headed off again. We never imagined that we would be only the second lot of finders to visit this cache almost three weeks after it was first found.
SInce we were here last time at this lake, this play area has now been completely fenced so little kids can run wild in safety.
Thank you to Team Canary for putting this cache into play.

Turned around and it was right below second way point. I assume the wind may of blown it from the original spot.
So from the clue placed where coordinates are. Ask popped a rock inside to stop from blowing away again. great spot. Great hide.
