What a delight it was to find this cache. Thank you for the tongs; very thoughtful of you. Without them I could envision myself stuck in this cache, waiting for the next finder. I did mean to bring some swaps, but managed to leave home without them. It's been many years since I've swapped anything. Sadly, it's an almost lost part of geocaching. A bit like writing in the logbook. You'll be pleased to know that the lid was brimming with water when I arrived, but not a drop made it inside the cache. Did I say what a delight this cache is? It really is. Congratulations.

It's big!!

Spent the morning walking about 9km in the Mt Petrie bushland with Willis007 finding caches including many challenges.Willis007 had previously found this cache but was happy to return as it wasnt far from our route.Wow - thats the biggest cache Ive ever seen so a fp. Logbook signed and replaced as found. Tftc

Needed a cache find today to plug a gap in my 366 calendar. Targeted this cache as its on my radar to plug a gap in my Jasmer Challenge too. So two birds, one stone kind of deal. I decided to target some of the Challenge caches in the area too, so arrived pre-dawn to start my leisurely stroll around the Prout Road Parklands, Mount Peter. This was the third cache of the morning and headed off trail about 120 meters from GZ. Found heaps of spiderwebs strung between the trees on my walk, and duly cleared them out of the way using my face. About 20 meters from GZ, I spotted the cache. Seriously, you cant miss it. Im extremely impressed with the size of the container and couldnt help but marvel at the feat of endurance required to lug it into the bush to place. Well done!Cache and contents in great condition. TFTlargeC. TNLN. SL. Favorite Point awarded TBs Prado Owl ; The Great Leap Forward Geocoin ; Bee Croc ; Rawhide ; RobS72 2000 Finds GC ; Forest Hill Ear Tag ; and Kiwi Bird visited.Find # 2139.

Tashx I found your cache Rumble In The Jungle on 22/3/2024, 2:55pm. This is my find 6476 and find # 11 today. Took the bush bash way. No problems getting to GZ. A very large cache, Ive only seen a few this size. A favourite from me for placing a very large container. Thanks for the cache, mate! TNSLLN

It is 4:25am. I have, again, ventured down from on top of the hill called Toowoomba. I am so close to completing another loop of my D/T grid. So, I am chasing certain D/T combinations today to complete this loop and advance a few combinations for future loops. This cache was NOT on my list, but the app showed lots of fav pts. What is up? A quick walk later ... ahh. That is BIG, LARGE even. The hardest part was finding the log book inside that enormous space. Onto the next one. Thanks for the cache.

24-Feb-24
Today I was on a mission to find large caches on the Southside of Brisbane, this one was next on the list. Cache was found and signed. Tashx _ thank you for placing and maintaining this cache for enjoyment of the caching community.

11-Feb-24
Today was another day of searching for attributes to fill in gaps for a challenge I was working on. It also heled in keeping my personal challenge ticking along. I had a night out to stay at a mates place so it was just a couple of caches on the way and then a couple on the way back. I parked up here and thought this is going to be fun. I read there was two ways to grab this cache and I took the roadside entrance. I jumped thru the fence and ripped my arm on a piece of tie wire in the opening. Well, if you're not bleeding, you're not caching. I wondered in and saw this huge container in the distance, OMGOODNESS. I can understand now why it got so many favourite points. I signed the log and replaced all as found and made my way back out, obviously aware now of the wire lol.

Super cache. I had some time on a Sunday afternoon to get the dog out for a walk and was in the local area climbing a hill to find an oldie. After that challenge was completed, i had a look at the map to work out whether i could squeeze in another cache before heading home. Then i spied this cache with a heap of favourite points. It looked like not big walk from the parking area so i headed off. Apart from one tree down across the tracks, the walk was flat and quick, and for the last 50 odd metres i was off trail. I spied what i was after from the last 20. What a great cache. I tipped the water from recent rain off the top of the container and was inside looking for the log book. Everything was good and dry inside. A few empty bags, but plenty of swaps for kids. Took nothing and left nothing today. Thanks very much Tashx for this cache which is a new favourite of mine. Cheers

This afternoon, I decided to continue my current pre Christmas quest to relinquish my membership of the Fat Bastards club with an extended walk in the bush around Mt Petrie. After climbing all over these hills, I was heading for home, but spotted this one on the way. Being a large - and with lots of favourite points, it was worthy of a stop. And it certainly was a large! The lid was full of water, but seals the container well and it was dry inside. A tool left nearby was put to use to retrieve the logbook from within. Signed the logbook. Everything is in good order here.Did I say it was large? Will admit to feeling a little inadequate as I walked back to the car. Well played, Tash XPete#4,789

Thank you.

01-Jul-23
Walked on from another cache nearby. Really wasn’t expecting to find this one, I don’t usually have success in finding my way in the bush. Was a good walk and was very quiet except for a low buzz of traffic from the nearby road. Got to a point where the bush bashing started. It was a surprise that I actually managed to find cache. What an amazing container, found log and signed. TFTC Tashx

Wow wee. What a great cache. At GZ i walked around and around and around , etc, etc ,etc, until i finally spotted this cache. Lol Just joking. I saw it and i gasped with admiration. Thankyou for all the fun. Giving it a FP for the smiles it gave me .

27-Aug-21
Found it!! Wow it’s definitely on the O/S side of life.
Out with PirateLinda and Peppa and 2MT

27-Aug-21
Found it! With Peppa, giraffe 18 and pirate Linda. After some serious decision making between over or under. Under was chosen as Peppa stood by chuckling!

27-Aug-21
Under/over that is the question??? Individual team members choose the best option for themselves. This lead to hysterical laughter from Peppa with trailers' choice . Once we all stopped laughing and looked up the cache was easily spotted. Thanks for such a unique container

15-Aug-21
Wow finally found this ‘big boy’. It’s been on my list for awhile now and finally got the chance to drop by. We decided to take the track in to GZ, really wasn’t in for a quick dash through the scrub from the roadside. Great day for a leisurely walk through the bush. Unfortunately we didn’t find a clear path in and spent a lot of time dodging trees, spiders and low hanging twigs. Finally spotted the ‘prize’ and marvelled at the size and how the CO got this cache into this spot.
Finding the path out was so much easier! Why didn’t we see the geo track on the way in?
Signed the log, grabbed the Geo coin and sealed up well for the next visitor. Fav from me. All good here!

TFTC Tashx

15-May-21
Once I detoured around the flooded paths I bush bashed for a bit and found it. Hard to miss for sure. Left a geocoin and a keyring and took some rubbers.

25-Apr-21
Well this was fun Big Grin My friend and I parked at the closest entry point and jumped the fence, making our way to gz. Well you couldn't miss that container could you? A quick sign of the log and we were back on our way. Tftc Tashx Big Grin

25-Feb-21
Alright, I fixed this big boy over the weekend...
And well.. I think it may have been sabotaged. I'm so thankful for the geocachers that reached out to me to let me know I was one of the people targeted and so grateful on getting help.
I don't know why someone trys and ruin this game for us but here we are standing strong.
There was some things that are salvaged. Log book not so much.
New one added. Hopefully all dry this time.
I haven't added plastic bags again. But I think I will come updated the swag in the next coming weeks with some great things. No trackables are in my geo btw.
What an experience it was to fix this one hahah.
Happy hunting everyone!

29-Jan-21
As we all know there is some issues going on with certain people that call themselves geocachers that are ruining the game for everyone. I will come to check and help fix this one soon. Such a shame. Ill keep this big boy going I promise! X.

26-Jan-21
As the previous and my log says, this cache is filled with water and due to it being large, the container needs to be lifted up by something strong and emptied of all the water. The logbook also needs to be replaced. Needs maintenance ASAP. No trackables inside as well.

26-Jan-21
Logbook soaking wet.

26-Jan-21
This geocacher reported that the container is damaged.

26-Jan-21
This geocacher reported that the logbook is full.

21-Jan-21
After finding the "Queenslander" Challenge not too far away I thought I would stop by to find this one that I had heard so much about and was accompanied by patrol14, a previous finder.
We did a quick walk in from the roadside through the 'skinny' break in the fence and was soon at GZ and met by the biggest container I have seen in a very long time.

Unfortunately, the lid to this cache was not screwed on but instead was sitting on top and on an angle which has allowed heaps of water to flow in from the very recent rains. All contents are extremely water logged including the nice sized log book which I only managed to get my name in via a black marking pen. We tried to tip the water out and re-bag some of the contents but I think it will need the CO's intervention to check on this cache.

There were no travel bugs inside as per the two listed in the inventory.

Still very happy to give a favourite point for this well set up cache which would bring so much excitement and many smiles to any young geocacher or adults for that matter who come here.

Heading off to do the nearby earthcache this morning for a souvenir. Had to pass this one, so I stopped to look. Glad I did.

Nice touch with the "log retrieval" tool. A favourite point for this one. [^]

I drive past here frequently and stopped on today to drop off four TBs and make a trade. I didn't see the two other TBs that we meant to be there Let's hope I just missed them!
Took a Mr Potato Head toy and a power adaptor, left two12x12 scrapbooking kits and an address book, and four travel bugs.
I also took the opportunity to wipe out the water in the bottom of the cache, using the to provided, but as it was nearly dark I wasn't able to dry of the condensation on the inside of the lid. Maybe the next visitor will be there on a warm day and give it a few minutes to dry off.

03-Aug-20
I really loved this cache. It was my first large! It's a really great hide. Love the tongs, very useful. Thankyou!

28-Jul-20
A few weeks ago we were here for a cycle but could find no easy way to the cache from the track, so left it behind. It transpires that I pass right past GZ each week on my way to physiotherapy, so I left a few minutes today to see if I could find a way in from the road. It turned out that the bush was somewhat sparser from this direction and I easily made my way towards GZ. Iwas tyhoroughtly enthralled by the cache container, and excited to add another to our very short list of "large" size caches found. This cache certainly deserves the size rating, even if the terrain rating is a little out (at lease from the other side).
The stash was far more interesting than I had anticipated, and having brought no swaps, I couldn't take the swap I would have liked, but I did take the TB to move along. Maybe next week I can stop and drop some TBs, and do a swap too! If only I hadn't left my geobag in the car, or if only I had left more time to go back and get it!
There was a little water in the bottom of the cache, and a lot in the lid, so I tried to close the lid tighter this time. The contents were all dry though. Thanks for a great cache, and for leaving a tool for me to access the log book, which was at the very bottom!

19-Jul-20
We got close, but couldn't find a logical T1.5 way in to the cache from the path where we were with put bicycles, so we abandoned the search. Just looked too difficult. Maybe another day.

12-Jul-20
Out for a bonus swing around the Southside hills, with oz_bean_counter collecting smilies all day. This wasn't on the list when the day started, but obc has a challenge to qualify for on large containers, and we were driving straight past, rude not to stop by and grab a hopefully easy smilie.

Which all means we were totally unprepared for what our eyes did behold. This is simply awesome. One of the best Larges I can recall It was simply stunning. Some 'larges' aren't any more, or really never were ... this one sure fits the mark. It is beautiful. With plenty of stuff inside, a lovely large logbook - and handy tongs to reach all the way tot he bottom.

And someone's prescription sunglasses - found on top, left on top.

I can see why the fav points. Here have another for a job very well done.

Thanks Tashx for entertaining me at this location.
Cool *{Overall find #7873}* Cool

One of the 26 caches / labs for the day, out on an epic caching adventure with Pprime to celebrate his 1000th puzzle cache.

Wow wow wow wow wow. What an ENORMOUS cache. And so much swag. This thing is truly epic. Favourite point worthy for sure. It was also the clear highlight of my day and one I will not forget for a long time, I think this is the largest cache I have ever found.

This one was on my radar because it was nearby to a target lab cache for the day - the hills of the southside series. It is also a large (VERY LARGE) cache which helps me on the large challenge I am very close to qualifying for. Pulling off the side of the road, there was a perfect little gate for us to access GZ, at which point the HUGE cache was quickly spotted, and the excitement was palpable. Lovely GZ, well worthy of a visit. Cache and log are in great condition.

I spotted a pair of glasses here that look like prescription glasses. If you are missing a pair, they are sitting on top of the cache in good condition.

TFTC and TB visit x2

A change is plans saw Eskies5 and I head further east than planned chasing old ones and puzzles. This fit neither criteria but with so many favs after only being in play 12 months made us stop to check it out. Wow! Awesome hide and glad we stopped to make this our first cache of the day Tashx

08-Jul-20
Kestal and I were down from Toowoomba for a particular cache to complete a particular geo-challenge. Suddenly Kestal mentions a newish cache coming up that has a quite a few fave points...Want to have a look? Sure!!! With ample safe parking along the road we made the short bush bash and were greeted with a very unexpected find. I managed to grab the log but when Kestal went to retrieve something else and couldn't we clicked on to what the grabby things were for. Big Grin A fave pt for the fun. TFTC Tashx.

A totally unexpected find on our walk today. Who would ever have thought something so big and beautiful could be hiding here in the bush.!
Nice hide, and just wished we had some little people who would have enjoyed the swaps while they were able to actually sit inside the container!
Thanks for the smiles and fun. Another favourite added to its illustrious collection.

Talk about a laugh out loud moment... Congratulations on an awesome Cache, even though I did took the Park and Grab option as I’m here to complete a Lab Cache leg, I’m glad I stopped... this is one of those hides where you take lots of pics and send them to all your mates... and I thought I finally had all the TOTT! Thank goodness the CO has thought of everything... replaced the log books snap lock bag.... left an Australian Penny and three TB’s to carry on, while collecting another three... tftc... and have a well deserved fave point!

Awesome cache! Thank you! Swapped a few treasures for the geokids

Find #24 - MMEandK all present. Found by M1.
This area is thick bushland explored via a great set of vehicle tracks. Very quiet in here (no muggles sighted!)
Some bush bashing required to get to Ground Zero but an easy find.
Oh my goodness! The Mother Lode! This cache contained everything bar the kitchen sink, we found that elsewhere! Geokids greatly appreciated browsing the cache contents and swapping some swag. Given the cache size, was tempted to leave a geokid in the cache for the next Geocacher!
This cache is in good condition.
Signed Log.
Thanks For The Cache!

Parked nearby and wandered through the bush to find a magnificent container!

Some ppl say theirs is a large container though it isn't, but this one truly is mammoth. Heaps of swag all nice and dry, and I love the tool that has been provided for those with shorter arms to reach the goodies!

Dropped 4 TBs as there weren't any home when I visited. Adding a fave.

Visiting various friends on the southside, I was travelling past this cache, so stopped off to make the find. I parked the geomobile and found a way through the fence. A short walk and the very large cache was spotted. WOW! After signing the log, I left a trackable to continue on its journey. TFTC

I found this geocache because the internet wasn't working. At least, it wasn't at home. So that meant I had to go into work. But as I wasn't meant to be there, I was on a borrowed laptop which meant today's stack took longer than expected. By the time I could head home, Gateway traffic was nearly stopped. I pulled a quick left and decided on the back road beside Tingalpa Reservoir.

While I was driving along I checked the app for a geocache along the route home, because why not? And this one.. reading the description, it sounded big. Favourite points suggested it was enjoyable. And logs said nice thing. I wouldn't mind a walk and an extra large find is always welcome!

A check of the map and I decided to park at the entrance across from Brightview Street. With the loads of rain recently, there was some wheel spin as I crossed over the gully. Pen, phone, keys.. I headed off.

Normally when I go for a walk, I'm wearing old shoes and couldn't care less if I have to walk through a puddle. But wearing not those shoes, I knew I was in for some extra work as from right behind the gate, the track was doing a good impression of a shallow creek. And it did this for 78.4% of my walk.

But I happily picked my way along, only a few times having to go bush. And a few times pushing a pile of debris out of the way to cause a tiny flood from a back-up puddle. Then, standing on the track, my phone said 69 metres to go - into the bush.

Given a huge puddle, I skirted around then found a good-looking route. The ground underfoot was super soggy, but a huge number of fallen trees provided a thick thatchwork to walk along meaning my feetses only got a minor bit wet.

There was no hiding this geocache. About twenty metres out, it popped into view and I smiled. I got up close and pondered my last twelve years of geocaching. I believe this is the biggest I've ever found. And I love that!

Unfortunately, it had a puddle on the lid, but I carefully unscrewed and emptied it outside the container. I'm 6'6" tall and often joke most of that is limbs and still, I needed to tool to grab the logbook (for the record, I could reach the swaps though!). I happily signed my name and replaced all as found at 16:21.

Just to get out. I opted to bush bash to the road, figuring that walk back might be drier. It wasn't really and had a lot more close calls with 80km/h traffic than the walk in. But I got back to my car with 93.6% dry feet and was a happy vegemite. An enjoyable walk, a brilliant geocache (that must have been a pita to get into position) and a nice bonus after a busy day. Thanks for this geocache, Tashx Smile

Needing a cache and a traditional today, it was off to get this one. Knowing I needed a TOTT I picked one up hoping it would be long enough.

Our walk quickly led us to our target. Noticing an already prepared TOTT, I used it. A little tricky for me but at last I retrieved the log book and had names in it. (Boy that log book is heavy).

***COs- catching up on a significant logging backlog stretching back a number of years.??
Please note- Logging your cache on the date I had been there, not the day I'm logging. Cheers??***

?? Out for my daily cache streak (PG friendly of course!) and popped in here to find this one.
????
(This turned out to be not such a good year for try finding a cache every day in a continuous streak!????????)

Well that certainly is LARGE!! No rummaging in the shrubbery for this one.?? All good here with lots of goodies for the junior cachers. Plenty of room to fit a favourite point in here.??

Heading East for the SITP series, I swung past here on my inbound trip. I found a gap in the fence, headed in and quickly spotted the cache. Well, how could I not... Big Grin

Access to the log was a bit of a stretch but I managed and added my name to the list. I took one of the trackables to take over to WA, then put everything back together. [^]

I agree that the Large container is a forgotten beast. There was never many, but you could always find a handful and they were great caches. Thanks for adding one to the area for people to appreciate. I think this just scrapes in as the biggest cache I have found. Smile

Cheers Tashx.

After spending the morning in a nearby park looking for micros in scrub to no avail, this was a welcome relief. What a cracker! Is the second largest cache I've been to, following the one at Space Coast in Florida. Much love here. Wish I could give more fav points. Tftc Tashx Dropped off 3 TBs.

I don't normally take this road between home and my Daughter's place but decided that I should take this route to get this cache today.

A drive past was required to find a parking spot and then I headed into the bushes A short stroll through the thicket and I soon spotted the cache.

Thanks for putting out something "out of the ordinary" a definite favourite point for me. I look forward to seeing further similar creations.

I found your cache with my Dad, Oddiewan and most of the time, Semik. I am way behind on logging so learned how to use templates so I can catch up. Sorry this is not a detailed log, but I will do better with my logging now that I have the ability to log caches on a mobile phone. Thanks for the cache Tashx

Had a burger urge that needed fulfilling for Father’s Day. Decided to do some caching on the way home.
Had heard about this one from a friend and thought it would be fun.
Wasn’t wrong. The geo kids enjoyed this as much as I.
Caching buddies today are Semik, flashcat and BitternA4
FP from me. Thanks for the awesome cache.

Caching on Father’s Day with Oddiewan, BitternA4 and Flashcat. This cache is so big we can hide an entire BitternA4 in it!! Excellent idea for a cache, I hope it has a really long life here!
