With a string of DNFs with finding the cache at GZ, it may be worth having the CO check on this one and confirming if the cache is still present, or in need of replacement, thanks.
Because I didn’t find WP1,I decided to try again. This time found WP1 and obtained the coordinates for the final. Knew what I was looking for so I went in prepared at GZ. Unfortunately cache container not found but cable ties found, see photo.
Wp1 was a quick find, however, went to the coordinates and searched for half an hour with no luck
Please note - the paper has got wet and soggy and we couldn’t write our name…. Many thanks
Desert__Rats I didn’t find your cache Pathway to Heaven on 17/3/2022, 2:40 pm. Couldn’t find WP 1.
We spent a bit of time on this one but failed in the end.
It was a long search at WP1 with some picnickers overlooking us from afar. We eventually found the container here but definitely needed to enter the garden to find and retrieve. We got the co-ordinates and drove off, parking very close to the pathway. Nice view of the creek here at the end of the path.
Heading into the scrub to search for the final cache and there were a few likely hides but could not find a thing except a deserted tent (maybe a past campsite?). Reading previous logs we ascertained what type of cache we may have been looking for but could not find anything in the vicinity . There have been lots of trees chopped in the area recently - not sure if this may have anything to do with why the cache could not be found.
Very viny area with lots of mozzies. Will keep a watch on it.

Today, the plan was to kayak across from Golden Beach to the top of Bribie Island (newly formed North Bribie Island given the recent breakthrough?). I was a little concerned with the high winds warning, but the passage still offered sufficient protection to paddle across for the scheduled island event. Following a walk around the island peninsula and the completion of two Locations from the *Pumicestone Passage Meander* Adventure Lab, we paddled back across just as the sea started to get rough. I then spent the majority of my subsequent day heading around Pelican Waters and Golden Beach, walking a few trails whilst fighting the armies of mosquitoes. I then ended the day with a drive into Caloundra completing *Rocking Caloundra* Adventure Lab and a walk along the foreshore/boardwalk.
This was quite the disappointment to not have found this cache through.
I arrived at the posted coordinates, and after a couple of minutes of looking around, I managed to find the nicely camouflaged container. There were muggles nearby in the park, so I had to be sneaky but not too suspicious, and with the coordinates for GZ found, I was then on to a short drive.
After walking along the pathway (to Heaven?), followed by a short bush bash, I arrived to GZ where I then commenced my search for this cache. I did see some evidence of a nearby dwelling that was currently vacant, and there were some nice views of the riverway, but around GZ, I just couldn't find the cache. I must have searched for a 30 minutes, and consulted several past finders, but they didn't seem to recall too much information / have recorded any notes. All the while, the mozzies were relentless at organising waves of attacks on me, and so it made it all the worthwhile to obtain the find and not need to return! After having a good scurry around, and not truly understanding the hint, I did find a few cable ties attached to branches, and on the ground, so I do suspect that this cache is missing (unless they are just red herrings?). Perhaps a CO check may be needed here. Thanks anyway Desert__Rats for the cache placement.

Willis007 and I had the opportunity to head up to the sunshine coast for the day and collect a few caches before the night time event and the GIFF presentation. We were looking at targeting the Landsborough area and then the pelican waters caches before heading to Coolum. We were pretty much on track all day with just a few targets that will have to wait until next time. Overall, we got in a few labs finished off and a fun few caches. It was a long but profitable day, and a lot of chats and fun along the way, thanks to all the CO’s for the hides.
Finally in the Pelican waters area and it was a target rich area for us. Using another can of mozzie spray we were armed up for the mozzies again. We found the required information at waypoint 1 and headed onto the final. Then a slight change of ideas and we soon had the cache in hand. Nice twist at GZ, then the log was signed and we were onto the next one in the area. Thanks for the hide.

Out and about in the Sunny Coast area collecting caches with chamad before attending the GIFF event.
After collecting the info needed the journey to gz was underway. After a bit of a bush bash I was scratching my head as to what next. Then I spotted a couple of things in quick succession, I knew what had to be done. Before too long I was signing the log.
Thanks Desert_Rats for the adventure.

Thanks Desert_Rats for the adventure.
A lovely multi cache that took us for a walk through the park, a short walk through the bush, and then a small twist at the end just for good measure. Fortunately we then did not have to walk too far to get what was needed. We have added our name to the log.
Thanks Desert_Rats

What a great multi adventure this is! At WP1 I loaded the coords for the final and walked along to the lovely pathway leading to the water then a bit of bush bashing and my device showed I was at GZ. I saw a bong nearby and thought maybe the cache has been tampered with. The next thing I spied was something that matched the hint but there was no log to sign. Decided to backtrack a little to stretch my legs from the crouching position and bingo! There it was right in front of me. And a great cache it is too. Happily I signed the log and replaced the cache as I found it. Thanks Desert__Rats for this one! Fav from me.
Staying at Golden Beach with grannysmith1947 and caught up with georode & E_Smiley for another day of caching in this beautiful location on a lovely clear winters day.
Good multi to do and georode was the quickest to get his hands on the prize, thanks CO.

Out and about with georode, Snickersallan and grannysmith1947 targeting tree fishing pole caches (or with special tool require attributes) and basically any caches that picked our interest in Golden Beach/Pelican Waters area.
Thanks for the cache and taking us here Desert__Rats. First waypoint was quick. Not so quick for the final.

I quite like multi caches, i'm not so sure why so many geocachers don't..
Perhaps it's because of the "chore" of going to more than one place to find one geocache.
I like that they take me somewhere a little special. Somewhere out of the way, that might be ruined by the constant traffic of a traditional.
I like the quirky park in the published coordinates, and even the cute chair overseeing the playing field at gz.
Best of all the finals took me somewhere I decided to sit and have a good long early snack break at.
So good it absolutely deserves a favourite point encouraging future attendee's to the desert__rats pathway to heaven.
Thank you.

I met Wesso for the first time on an FTF hunt on the day this cache was published. That time, we couldn't find WP1. I didn't have Wesso's tenacity so I buggered off, promising to come back some day.
Today was that day. Felt all smug when I had the first cache in hand literally in seconds, only to come a cropper at WP2. With the geokids in tow, I followed the path to the bank, then cut through the general area of GZ ... but couldn't find a thing! Didn't stay too long, so I'm sure it's still there. Maybe if I let another two years pass and have a third crack at it I'll get the yellow smiley. Thanks for the cache, Desert__Rats.

TFTC Out and about to pick up some caches in this area. Beautiful sunny autumn day.
Grateful thanks for placing and maintaining so many great caches to entertain me on my journey.

I thought the mozzies were going to carry me away but got out of there in one piece. Thanks for the cache
Up the Sunny for a few days of R&R and on my

Down Caloundra way so thought we’d stop and find some caches. Spent way too long at WP1!! Eventually we read some previous logs and shortly after found the little beastie. Off we went to WP2 and the cache was soon in hand. What a great spot, TFTC
We were staying in the area for the weekend and thought we would grab a quick cache before heading back home. This one didn't disappoint. Amazing park followed by a beautiful out of the spot place that was oh so relaxing. We even even saw a couple of friendly bush turkeys walk out on the path in front of us. TFTF
About a week ago I was in the area and found WP1, noting down the information, but I didn’t have time to go to the next stage. So today I was back to complete the job.
I parked close and bush-bashed towards the final location. Of course after I found the cache I saw the lovely path that I should have come in on! At GZ I managed to solve the puzzle and obtain the log sheet. Having signed my name I replaced all as found and took a pleasant stroll back to the car.
Thanks Desert__Rats for another cool cache!

Out for a day of caching at the Sunshine Coast with Mr Curious Quest. After completing a series of lab caches, we decided to head to this multi, hoping to have enough time to complete it before dark. At the waypoint, the container was quickly located and we headed off to GZ. There, we searched for much longer than we should have before finally locating the cache. I blame GPS bounce on my unreliable phone and also the fading light. With our names added to the log, we were soon on our way back to Brisbane. TFTC
Out and about with Selva Girls to pick up some caches today.Took a while to find this because we were losing light. TFTC
Out for a morning caching with possumcrazy. Third on the list . Beautiful spot. No mozzies today. TFTC TNLNSL
Was here yesterday but didn't get till log till now. Spent some time at Wp1 till we read the hint, oh that's what we should be looking at, a quick find after that at Wp2 we made our way off the path and soon found the cache, unfortunately, someone had been to this one recently and removed the hide from its tethering removing the field puzzle aspect. didn't have any zip ties with us today to fix this one up so I leave it to CO or maybe a future finder TFTC
Pesky muggles ;( Temporary fixed for now, however cache container is a little unstable, will fully fix when I get the time and supplies.
Checked both way-points and replaced WP1 - WP2 all good to go as well. Happy Caching
Checked yesterday while strolling past and the first WP is gone - will replace ASAP.
Out with Geopartner to find a few caches.
Arrived at the first WP and found the info for the final.
We headed for the final with what we needed and soon arrived at GZ
We remembered mozzie protection and I think you are a couple less as I aussie saluted a couple in my travels.
The cache was claimed and our names added.
TNLNSL TFTC Thanks Desert_Rats All good with this cache and multi

Visiting Caloundra today and picked up a few caches while here.
After grabbing the info at WP1 I headed for GZ with the right equipment for the next step. Once at GZ it was a quick extraction and once the log was signed all was returned as found.

Enjoying the clear blue skies and winter sunshine up the coast today, on an outing around Caloundra tidying up some caches with Roostaman.
This one took longer than needed, as we were searching for the first WP a little further back. A PAF soon had us on track and we then headed to GZ where the inner was soon located and liberated.
Nicely done!

Log signed at 12:11 and cache returned as found. Thanks for the smilie **Desert__Rats**. This log is trackable.

A fine warm sunny Winter day for a trip to Caloundra with Orange Crew.
Not many muggles around today and a few good safe hides.
We had the required resources for this one and managed to extract the log.
Thanks for the cache Desert__Rats,

Today teamdfl and I are taking a road trip around Caloundra collecting caches on my hit list [^]
We are both fans of multi caches so decided to give this one a whirl. A mum and her lad were in the playground at the start, but didn't care about us. We made a quick find, and I found the co-ords to be spot on. The decision was made to continue on in the car. On the last walk in to GZ we struggled to get the GPS to settle down so some circle work happened before teamdfl called out she had the container. And then of course we realised what needed to happen next so she took the short walk back to the car. A few minutes later we had the logbook in hand. TFTC, Desert__Rats.

Out for a day of fun with IolantheK. We had a lucky start to this one wiht a fairly quick find of the first waypoint. Opted to drive to GZ, which turned out to be a good plan in hindsight.
A short hunt at GZ located the container. Lucky we are experienced and usually prepared cachers. Getting the log signed was not too much trouble.

A return visit to this cache and armed with some different information, we soon had WP1 in hand. With the new coords in the GPS, we drove nearer the final destination and started our hike to GZ in the pouring rain and yes the mozzies were still biting. Wandered round for a bit and soon spotted what we were trying to find - now all we had to do was retrieve it. Luckily we've seen these before so knew what to do. Signed log and retreated back to Tuna as fast as our ailments would let us. A favourite point for the work that went into it. TFTC Desert_Rats
I was surprised when I saw two DNF's on the cache site. Went down this afternoon to check on the cache and bumped into Wesso Family who had just found WP1. It was nice to meet another cacher who is experienced and has so many hides around the area. Both waypoints are in good shape, hint was updated. Sorry for the confusion about the previous hint. Happy Caching

Well after this morning's dismal effort. It had played on my mind all day.
So on my way home I made a detour and arrived at GZ and began my same systematic search same as this morning.
It was long before I had the cache in hand, just as I opened it, Desert_Rats arrived on his bike to check on the cache, but it was just our cache blindness this morning, I explained...lol
We had a little chat, then I punched in the final co-ords and headed to the final cache location, as Desert_Rats peddled off into the Sunset.
I drove to the next location and had a bit of a bush bash to get to GZ.
Once there I began my search and I was joined by about 100,000 mozzies!!
It wasn't long before I spotted the cache container, But I needed to improvise to be able to get the cache out of it's hide....Lucky I was a boy scout. (NOT)
Once I had the cache in hand, I signed the nice new log before replacing the cache exactly as I found it.
It's a great cache, the type you don't see too often!
I am awarding this cache one of our favourite point, great job!!
