Recently my shift times have changed and now a common shift to get start at 12 which is perfect to fit in some early morning caching! This was my last cache before heading to work. The views from here are beautiful! It was great to see some people out and about on such a beautiful and sunny morning! Thank you Tankengine for the cache!!
2nd find while out for a walk, collecting a few caches on the way. I arrived at GZ and it took the GPS a little while to settle. I searched around the rocks for a while before finding the correct spot and getting cache in hand. Log signed and all replaced and I continued on my caching walk. TFTC.
Great start to a caching morning with newcomer Frenchykek! Looks a very strong recruit to the game, physical presence, mental toughness, tough in the clinches, always gives 110 per cent, and taking to it like a duck to water.I gotta say, that is rather a delightful crag. Perfect day for it toothanks Tankengine
My first find in Australia!!! 14476 km from home. So excited to see more of this beautiful country. Thanks for giving me reason to climb that hill.
Out and about with fitzy_1965 today. All caches were found quickly and easily unless otherwise mentioned.
34,146. Found with minniek during a fun adventure today. When we were out here last week we ran out of time to grab this one. Today we decided to rectify that and make it our first on the list. Parked reasonably close and headed on up and around the track - lots of walkers out today - and soon arrived at GZ for a quick find. Stamped the brand new log, then we headed on over to a bonus cache that had just been published. Thanks Tankengine !!
First run with my bro on our visit to Canberra. Great to find a cache on a run.
Took a while. Found it while waiting for a PAF to respond. The PAF wasnt needed in the end. Nice crag and hide. Also cleaned up this spot a bit by removing a jumbo coke bottle. The things people doAll good with the cache. Thanks TE surprised more of the alliterative hides around here arent yours! --------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------In the spirit of reconciliation we would like to acknowledge the Traditional Custodians of country on which we geocache throughout Australia and their connections to land, sea and community. We (the pants people) pay our respects to their Elders past and present and extend that respect to all Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples today.
One day me and my friends went up to the Colo man rige and we found what is to be a cashe and that was my first geocache and one of my favourite
After around 5 attempts, we were buiilding a fort in the area and my son lifted the last stone for our fort build and wala! Finally got this
#3986 A cold windy, misty afternoon as I made my ascent toward GZ. Finally standing there with so many options in front of me I was surprised when I found it under the first rock I moved.
Thanks TE for the Cooleman Crag Cache!
Thanks TE for the Cooleman Crag Cache!
Ha ha. Funny it’s there we built a rock base on the 4 rock pullers my friend and I didn’t know what geocaching was so we just put it back and left. Now we know what it is!
#16299 - 9:35:00 AM; Out on a caching run around Cooleman Ridge with Sol de lune. Collected the eleven caches I needed as we made our way around together initially before Sdl headed off and I continued for the last few solo. Unless otherwise indicated, all caches were found in good condition and replaced as found once the log was stamped/signed. This was the first stop and a surprisingly quick find given the way the cammo blends in with its surroundings. TFTC Tankengine
Out on walk with LuckyL10n around the ridge on what is a great spring day. Cache found after a short search and we were on our way again.
Thanks for another one TE...cache all good.

Found on a big day walking Cooleman Ridge. Was expecting a long search here but thankfully got it very quickly. Great views. TFTC TE!
This one had me stumped, but my 9 year old nephew, littlefish, save the day with good detective skills.
Grabbing some caches on this nice early morning with Wilbert67.
This is a very nice area.
Took a while before locating it.

A beautiful morning walk up down and around the mountain with J+J.AU that turned into a couple of hrs. Weather started out great for the day and turned pretty warm later on. All caches found fairly easy.

Actual plans to be undertaken outside of the ACT were dashed thanks to that thing that keeps on giving in the past year or two so I was left with a spare day and what's more it was a spare day during nice weather (a rarity these days it seems). Definitely some tops views to be had along these trail on such a day. Most found quickly and easily, even this one.
After realizing someone had put a throw down on a Tankengine cache we called him and then started searching for the proper one. Soon found and throw down removed.
Tackling Cooleman Ridge today with a group. Lovely day so far but rain expected later.
Unless otherwise stated all was good with cache.

Found on a walk with some friends back on Coolemon Ridge. We found a mint tin and knew that would not be right, so I called the CO who assured us that it was not the container he had hidden. With some hints provided, we then found the right container. Great views!
Thanks for hiding this cache Tankengine

Well this was an interesting search. I headed in the right direction and started while others searched nearby. After no success I relinquished my position to a younger member of the group h oping that they would achieve what I couldn't. No luck until a third member pointed out to us from a distance what neither of us could see from up close, even with the hints that the CO had supplied after a PAF. Amazing how you can look and never see. Once cache was in hand and log removed, it was signed and then returned to its hidey hole. TFTC TE I didn't get much time to admire the view as we were so busy searching. Next time- lol!
On approach of this we noticed that the rocks had been used to build a cubby house - which usually does not bode well for geocaches. But I soon spotted a gleaming mint tin and retrieved the log - which was hand lined and had a couple of non-geocaching names in it. As I was signing, one of my friends mentioned the CO and we did a double take as this cache was very unlikely one of his. We called the CO to verify and kept looking for the cache. While trying to get my knee to bend so I could do a closer inspections of an area, someone spotted tell tale signs of the cache. So we signed this, collected the throwdown and applied appropriate cover to the cache.
TFTC, we even had time to then take in the views.

Another Sunday had come around, so our small group formed up for another visit to Coolamon Ridge. We hit twelve caches today that I had not done before whilst walking too far and up and down too many slopes. There are some great views from some of the places along here, and the newish lookout was a favorite spot for the day.
Thanks for the cache Tankengine

Tricky hide this one, unexpected!
Logs all in good condition unless otherwise noted.
Thanks to Tankengine for putting out and maintaining all of these caches for our enjoyment!

Second attempt here after 15 minutes of fruitless searching on my last visit. Armed with a better idea of what to look for I was still surprised to locate this sneaky cache in the second spot I tried. Can’t believe I missed this last time, but that’s the benefit of hindsight.
A lovely spot up here, thanks Tankengine - a favourite for the view.

A walk with Dino, Wilma and Hoppy on this wonderful Cooleman ridge with it grand views on the Bullen Range and beyond. We love the views and it is always a great place to come to with a number of unfound caches in the central bit of the ridge we did a nice loop for a decent catch of the day and got some great fotos and the soaked up the views.
This was easily the trickiest find of the day mainly as I spend a long time searching at the coords knowing that these are always spot on for the CO but in this instance they are slightly out so when I eventually widened my search I made a quick find. Certainly deserves the D rating as the CO surprises you here
Thank you Tankengine for putting the cache out and maintaining it.

Bleedingly obvious in hindsight but we managed to avoid looking just there for waaaayyy too long. Tftc
Found this one while miss 4 had her own fun climbing up and down everywhere. Tftc
Wandering around the ridge with c-chord. Tricky. Cache in good order Thanks Tankengine
Exploring some more of Cooleman Ridge today. The views either side are fantastic Last time had a DNF for this one but today it was a
Decided to try for a long caching hike today, so headed out with a bag full of swag, two cans of Diet Coke, and 700ml of water. We hadn't expected it to be so hot (the forecast got it wrong - surprise!) so had to ration the drinks. 4.5 hours after we set out, we arrived back at the car, hot, tired and covered in grass seeds (for the most part, the grass was taller than Saf!), but glad to have added so many smilies to our list. We left either Ooshies, safety whistles, or Simpsons Lego minifigs in each one that could fit swag.
We spent a bit of time here, trying not to disturb the area as we looked under every single rock. We were just about to mark it as a DNF when something glinting in the sun caught Saf's eye - and there it was! A nice hide. Thanks for the cache, Tank!

My final find of the day After an unexpected afternoon of being outdoors when I initially was planning a quiet one at home, I decided to add a couple extra to the tally.
This was a tough find! Very unexpected hide and took me a long time to locate, and I only did when I asked the CO for a hint as I was getting skeptical as the area around GZ seemed pretty thrown about and all the rocks and sticks didn't quite look like they were in place so I feared it could be gone again!
But nope, I was certainly wrong, just in an unexpected spot and 2 metres on the other side of the rock to where my coordinates persisted.
Huge thanks to Tankengine for the push in the right direction, eventually found it after following his suggestion carefully!

Found a good pencil, lots of strewn rocks, discarded clothing but not the cache. Doesn't mean it isn't there, just that I didn't find it today. Will put on my watch list. Really nice spot, lots of muggles including one on a horse, well worth a visit cache or no cache!
Another find with the family on our walk around the ridge. A really solid placement! TFTC.
Decided to check on this one today - and noticed it was missing. Cache replaced, good to go!
Found a trinket where the cache was supposed to be and after checking the logs I also came to the conclusion that the cache was missing
Unfortunately, this cache has been lost. I actually found it about a month ago but, lacking a pen, decided to come back again (since Cooleman Ridge is a frequent cycling haunt for me). Unless my mind is growing soft as I age and I misremember where it was, it is very definitely not there any more. There were many signs that this had been the site of some youthful revelry recently - unfortunately, the sort of even that likely saw the cache removed.
I think I turned over every stone up there!! Apologies to all the little creatures I disturbed! I'll be back...
The GZ had lots of spots that matched the hint but I found it quick enough. Found as the sun was setting. TFTH
Thanks for the cache it was a good find with the sun shining beautifully good to get out of the house
Big Thank You to StrangeTrousers for convincing me to espcape the house for some midweek fun caching. Have missed time out exploring and with the views out today it is understandable who. Stunning place to visit. Took along my walking poles for the hills but hardly needed them due to some clever work from my geobuddy with planning the route. It was the perfect day not to cold, the sun was out and caches found.

#6060 4th for today
Perfect mid-week caching weather today so I dragged CBRChic out of hibernation and headed down to Cooleman Ridge. I never get tired of the views over the back towards the Brindabellas from here. I used to live down this way. I've cached here a few times over the years but now there is a bunch of new caches to make a new trip well worth while. We managed to minimise the amount of climbing with a carefully chosen route and no misses today.
Thanks Tankengine

In these uncertain times it's still legal to exercise, and fortunately geocaching is one of those pastimes that you can still enjoy without being scrutinized. Parked at Darrell place and did a 5.5km loop picking up caches. I saw this from a mile away, and hid it behind rock as requested by CO. Tftc
Tankengine needed to do a little maintenance and I needed a little exercise. So when he asked if I would like to assist with this, I jumped at the chance.
We parked near by in the parking space and walked up and along to here. It was a nice walk and a nice spot for a cache. After replacing the cache we walked off onto some others in the area that I hadn't got. Thanks for the company and of course tftc Tankengine!!!

Went to check on this today, and discovered it was missing! - I have now replaced it. Good to GO!
This took a while. Inspected many other objects before I spotted something from just the right angle. Tricky, despite accurate coords. TFTC Tankengine
Well hidden, took us about 10 minutes to find, genuinely worth the effort just for the view.
The original plan was to go for a paddle on the lake... but I am a 'goldilocks' kayaker... not too hot, not too windy, not too sunny, and definitely not too cold. The brisk southerly breeze and overcast conditions made for a perfect walk up to my local ridge, even had to don the fleecy!... to check on my hides, and to turn a blue sad face into a radiant, beaming smile.
Last visit I had in mind what type of hide to expect, and failed to find. This time, I dismissed any preconceptions. I sat and contemplated the rocks... I looked to the right, then to the left, and espied what revealed itself to be the perfect little hiding place... just right!
Also saw a pair of wedge-tailed eagles patrolling the valley... beaut morning, before the smoke haze descended once again. TFTC TankEngine

Around and around I went with the GPS not finding the GZ. After about 15 min I finaly spotted the hiding spot, signed the cache dsd or darksidedan.
I love discovering Geocaches, Trackable items and collecting Pathtags. I have added your cache to my growing list of “Found It” logs. I hope that you enjoy Geocaching as much as I do. For me geocaching is a way of life. When I am not Geocaching, I am thinking of Geocaching. I would like to say a very big than you for placing your geocache and for maintaining it for the Geocaching Community. In 2019, I won the right to place a Virtual 2.0 Cache from Geocaching.com, but I have not placed it yet. I am just trying to find somewhere that is worthy of a Virtual Cache.
Here is a little information about me. I have been geocaching since 2015. At the time of finding this cache I have over 5600 finds plus 340 hides. I am the creator of the “Duck Dip” Lab Cache that won 2nd Place for the Australian Capital Territory in the State Vs State - Battle of the Lab Caches at the OzGeoMuster - The Gong Mega 2019 in Wollongong, Australia.
Now let’s talk Pathtags. Currently I have over 4600 Pathtags in my collection plus about 500 Etagz. I currently have two of my own Pathtags (45762 & 46950) with another one in the works.

Canberra is really really quiet this weekend, and the weather is pretty good, but who wood have thought it would hit 31 degrees so soon - we had a Frost only a couple of weeks ago. Anyway, we put the hound in the car and went somewhere a little different for a walk and a couple of caches. And or was hot. And windy. But still good.
This cache took too long to find, but I was feeling extra cautious after a recent cacher reported a brown snake hanging out in the rocks. Still, I looked in all the spots where a snake would most likely be, but we didn't see it, fortunately. (still, it may have seen us..)
We did eventually find it, in a well hidden spot, and then climbed to the top to enjoy the view, trying not to get blown off from up there.
This is number 11 my goal of finding 500 Tankengine caches, which put's Tankengine in equal second for the most caches of a particular cacher found.
Thanks Tankengineplacing for placing and maintaining this cache

Decrypter and I came here to get a walk and to find some caches. Decrypter returned to his car for something and I wandered onto here, located the cache fairly quickly, signed and returned it. When Decrypter caught up, he also went to find the cache, and he spotted what I hadn't; the brown snake under a boulder I had stood on. Fortunately we hadn't had a confrontation. TFTC Tankengine.
I had a travel bug to send on its way, so I sought out several of the geocaches on Cooleman Ridge in the hope that I would find a suitable cache. In a two and a half hour, 17.25km bike ride from lower Kambah, I found all seven of the geocaches on my list.
This cache was a straightforward find, being in an obvious spot on the coordinates. Thank you Tankengine for installing and maintaining this cache.

Did a small pre-lunch loop up on Cooleman Ridge... you certainly feel it getting up onto the fire trails but from there it was relatively easy going. Picked up 4 at the eastern end of the ridge.
Only one false attempt before I saw the rock... it screamed at me and indeed it was hiding the cache.

Geez I thought that was a spider initially. For some reason I was looking for something much bigger. Took me quite a while to find. Great views. Cache is in good condition. Tftc
