Started out a nice day. Then the clouds rolled in over top. So decided to finish my walk here and make the return back to the car. The shelter was perfect to wait the rain out. Cache is all good. Tftc.

Finally get to do this amazing cycle trail. Camped up at Piro Piro campsite and got a shuttle. Fabulous day for it. Started chilly and now beautiful sunshine. Awesome country side. Many thanks for sharing a cache here.

We were part of a group cycling the Timber Trail over 2 days. It was a very wet day, so we were glad to be able to stop here and shelter from the weather, before starting the BIG climb. While the men had a snack inside the shelter, MrsJAG made her way to gz and after a short search the cache was in hand and she was able to rejoin the group for a snack. TFTC

At around kilometre 947 of my Te Araroa journey and good to be on the timber trail.. I still feel wobbly on my legs riding a push bike after so long walking on my feet but these caches give me a good chance to stop and rest my screaming thighs... and I thought the bike would give my legs a rest!We enjoyed a quick bite to eat in the shelter and while doing so I ducked off to look for this cache. It only took me a minute or so to zero in on it, good to give this unloved cache a bit of a hug after being unfounded so long.My thanks to the cache owner watcache for placing and maintaining this cache for wayward trampers to extend their rest breaks. Cheers! -- This log is trackable ! ---- Feel free to discover ---- Please mention, in which cache you've seen this code: ---- 3TABQX --

In Pureora for an event celebrating 2000 pairs of Kokako, so I had hoped to grab a few caches while in the area.

Managed to park within a km or so from the shelter so ran up to the cache. Was thankful for the great hint which made for a quick find. Thanks for the hide.

Walking the Te Araroa and now the timber trail wow .
As we made our way to the start before daylight and made our way along the trail with a spectacular sun rise i nab a cache or two .
A quick search soon had the goods in hand.
Now on with the trail see how far we can go today before we camp .
Looking forward to the rest of the trail.
A great addition to the timber trail.

Having been instructed to wait here for the rest of the team, I dutifully obliged.
One of the e-bikers was already here casually taking photo's and looking like she hadn't even started yet so I thought it best to help boost her ego and proceeded to look knackered sprawling out on the seat in the recovery position. Things we do to make others feel good about themselves, eh!!!
The rest of the team arrived all to quickly and I watched for a while as they went around in circles trying to find the perfect hiding spot, but eventually that entertainment waned and I knew I had to continue on wards and upwards, trying to get as much of a head start on them as I possibly could - needless to say, it wasn't enough!!!!
Thanks for adding another cache to the trail watcache.
