Time to put this one to bed

24-Jun-19
A much larger attendance than expected seamed to appear from nowhere as the WWFM commenced.
It was fantastic catch up with old friends again as well as briefly meet and greet the newer faces that also attended.
Also good the see the the rain hold off until it was time to disperse.
Thanks for organising the event I.C.C.

Always great to catch up with likeminded folks who've been bitten by the geocaching bug. Who knew the cockroaches would win Round 2?

A plan was made for fitzy_1965, SpecimenX, GLISS! and nibletricecakes to head north to do the WLS Geoart before the Mega in a few weeks.

Once the art was done, we headed down into The Gong itself for this perfectly timed event. I had totally forgotten the theme of the event and wore my Sea Eagles (maroon) jumper when I'm blue through and through. Thankfully the Blues came up with the goods later in the evening.

My day started at stoopid o'clock in Canberra where I met up with SpecimenX & Nibletricecakes. Onto Goulburn where we hoped in the geomover with Fitzy_1965 & Minniek. An awesome day with an amazing milestone of 10k finds for SpecimenX. We had this event on our schedule as a reward for knocking over the lighthouse series in quick time and we achieved our goal. It was great to put faces to a few names of familiar caching loggers.
While the footy game didn't finish the way I had hoped for, it was good of the boys to make the third game the decider. WinkSmile
Thanks for hosting.

After a big few days it was nice to be back in the Illawarra. Doning my favourite colours and hopeful of a Blues win I headed off for a quick flashmob.
It was great to see so many people in attendance. Some new and old faces and to catch up on whats been happening of late.
we just had time to take the event photo before the heavens opened up causing everyone to go their own way.
Thanks

Had an each way bet dressed in both colours today (thankfully final score convincingly went the correct way later that night) but no denying my loyalties in attending and catching up with the “team” playing my favourite sport. Nice to see the regular faces and friends from out of town though pity the cold and rain kept curious muggles to a minimum for another well attended and enjoyable flashmob.

18,364. Found during a GeoAdventure with minniek, nibletricecakes, specimenX and GLISS!

Having solved all the puzzles, wherigos and letterbox hybrids in the WLS Series, today we headed up the Hume to try to find the all. Early start from Canberra/Goulburn had us start the trail around 10am. Most were found without too much difficulty despite some being a distance from GZ. Logged was stamped for the group of us. After finding all but one (later found) we headed down the mountain for this event. Our timings today were perfect and we arrived with a few minutes up our sleeves. The allotted time arrived and several familiar faces along with some new to us came out of the woodwork. Some fun banter was traded about the 2 teams in question. And I must add that as I write this log NSW has just finished crushing QLD - bring on the 3rd game.

Thanks to the I.C.C.for putting on this convenient event !!

Off I go on another geomission with fitzy_1965, minniek, GLISS! and Nibletricecakes Cool The target for today was to hit the WLS series ahead of the Mega and a few others along the way. Lots of laughs and lots of caches made for another fun day! Smile

So we completed the series earlier than we expected so off to the next thing on the to do list....this event!

Great to meet and mingle with the local geocachers and put faces to the names I've seen in logs Smile

Thanks for organising, I.C.C Cool

I really did not expect to make it this afternoon, having spent the weekend at Mount Keira running a Scout Training Course.

However, the stars aligned and at 326 with four minutes on the clock I managed to pull in for a quick chat before going along my way. Nice to see the usual faces as the rain came in.

Cheers

Life has been full on. Anyhow I managed to take a little break and head to this Event, and grab a couple of caches on the day.
It was good to see familar faces and the two team colours were split in half. Once the picture was taken it started to sprinkle. So we all split and went on our way.
Thanks for the Event.

Almost ran late due to traffic and other obligations today, but made it with minutes to spare for the picture in the end. Good turn out and good to do a quick catch up as well.

Nice to catch up with everyone during a break in the weather for this well-attended event. Then the rain started up so it was time to head off for some cache maintenance. TFTE!
