Some nice gardens and properties in these parts and another great find. FP here

A day out today was unexpected as our daughter visiting from Whanganui happened yesterday briefly as she headed up to Whangarei for the weekend with her brother before coming back to spend time with us tomorrow, or Monday for the rest of the week. We decided on a trip out to Orewa and headed along the estuary walkway loop and grabbed a few of the options available there and all was good. Even called in at the hall for a vinyl record sale and picked up an eighties album that I liked. Great weather today though the wind was as strong as could be. T F T C all COs.

This is a really nice spot on the estuary trail, I'm awarding a favourite point for that and the fact that I've also lifted the TB. I'll give the TB a massive whack and take him off to the UK.

Nice find with woolwood9 today.
*We enjoyed the drive / walk around the area.*
Stamped logs as tm/ww NZ which may just look like a black smudge on plastic logs!

*Another nice walkway, short search but soon spotted the container.*

A nice walk along here and after a brief search we found the cache right where the hint said it would be

30-Dec-19
We followed behind a pair of hikers, who had been trying to hitch a ride up the Orewa hill but had been unsuccessful, along the trail towards gz. Once we found the hint item we soon had the cache in hand.

Must have missed this cache last time I was up in Orewa, so stopped by here today. Parked up at the end of the nearby road and walked down. Took a moment for the GPS to settle, and the hint made complete sense. Swapped a TB, then headed back up the steps to my car, TFTC

Find number 6571. Decided to do a couple of days caching in the area. With an emphasis to try to clear the Dalmatians. After parking up in Riverhead and riding the bicycle from there. I only got a few done before the batteries on my GPS went flat and when I lost phone coverage I had to change plans. In the end I ended up with 29 caches today and spent the night at Murawai. This is now day 2. Murawai, Dalmations and then onto Orewa for the night. Another 50 caches done.
After checking in at the campground I decided to cycle this trail and collect the caches along the way. Had to think about this one. Not where I first look but definitely was in the last place. Thank you for the placement.

Out for another wander around the Orewa Estuary today and took the opportunity to locate this cache, which was a nice straight forward find at GZ. Dropped off a TB. TFTC!

The elder Future Finder and I have finished a walk around Wenderholm Regional Park. A nice sunny day to be out and about. We decided to grab a few more before making for home. This was our last stop of the afternoon. We parked up at the end of Moffatt Road and I followed the trail around to GZ (the FF sat this one out back at the car). As I approached GZ I found FNL44 already searching-- nice to meet you guys! I joined the hunt and the cache was uncovered a few minutes later. We had a good chat about caching and the Te Araroa trail before parting ways. Right, home time. Cheers for the cache placement!

Found on day 25 of our TA thru-hike. This was hard and we were about to give up when another cacher walked up and together we made the find. Always fun to meet someone in the field!

Took a few minutes to find this one. Read a few logs and soon found the hiding spot. Thanks

This had me looking for a while. Got interrupted by a walker wanting info about a nearby plant. I gave him the info he needed and he then left me to get on with searching again. Eventually found it. Clever hide. TFTC

Working in Silverdale this morning, so Orewa is not Too far out of my way. Parked as close as possible and wandered down a path to the trail. "The cache must be there. Yes!" Nailed it. Thanks.

Time to find some of the more local caches and although I don't remember the original one here, this one proved no problem and it was nice and quiet here for a Saturday morning. TFTC

Collecting our daily cache after a game of golf at Wainui. The wind is getting up and rain is on the radar which is helping in keeping muggles away. Spent some time looking and not getting far. Expanded the search area a little and bingo there she blows. Jandle TB collected. All good. TFTC Smile

GAR saw the publishing of this cache pop up just after passing Orewa and thought it still hadn't been found (odd but you never know) and as we were in the area thought we might as well head over. Then the log said TheWonderStuff had been here on day of publishing and GAR realised that his phone had not updated the info on the cache! Oh well, while here we took the dogs for a bit of a walk before heading home. Thanks for the hide G-2 - fairly quick find although almost got ourselves muggled - a lot people here today!

Saw this one pop up and thought well why not - jumped in the car and found after looking around in the dark, at least it wasn't raining. Nice wee hide and I know the views are good from here Smile
