Quick find today while part of the team was getting their eyes tested. No glasses need here to make the find. We are into trains so the trestle bridge was a logical choice. Thanks McAdies.

The missing sculptures have been reinstalled after being restored. Some of them have some colour on them too which looks fantastic!

23-Oct-24
Evidently there used to be more of these sculptures but there were still some cool ones left. Thanks for the virtual cache in this interesting location.

We almost missed the entry to the laneway, there's a lot of construction around the area. What a cute idea! Pic of our travel companion Emu with one of the art works. TFTC

What an amazing little alley. Thank you for bringing us here. We are caravanning around the country ATM so we liked the caravan the best. Also the one in the clouds. Fave

Another really cool place to explore. I probably wouldnt have seen the brick work if not for this virtual. The overhead decorations took my attention first before i saw the minitures. So cool. Thanks

We kunnen terugkijken naar 2 mooie weken in Australi!NLBokkie and I are going on holiday to Australia for 4 weeks. We will go to Tasmania for the first week and then travel around on the "mainland" for 3 weeks. Along the way I'll meet my niece, I haven't seen her for 50 years. It will be a holiday full of experiences......Our cache goal is to visit different countries. So we fly back to Dubai and forth via HongKong. We would like to score an FTF in Australia. We do that in Tasmania?? Then the webcam caches in Adelaide and the old caches between Adelaide and Sydney. Then we end up at the Mega in Canberra. A full program which a lot of fun!Unfortunately, after 2 weeks we have to end our trip with an earlier return flight to the Netherlands. My mother passed away and we have to go back. We can look back at 2 beautiful weeks in Australia!

Very awesome find just upsetting there is some missing

21-Mar-24
Swinging through Ballarat on our way to Melbourne for the second time in a month. Not bad for a Sunshine Coast, QLD team! This time its for the ACT mega. I happened to notice that this one had been reenabled and got a little excited. Sadly at GZ, the art installation has yet to be replaced. The laneway is open as the path has been re-done but the only Little Incidents left in situ are the metal ones. Still, they were very cute. Our fav was going to be the caravan entitled Happy Campers until we saw the Plaque for Idyllic Getaway. That just sounds better.

Nice, easy virtual on a lovely day. TFTC

08-Mar-24
The lane is upgraded with some bluestone pavers and is now open

Well our favorite one was the ones we couldn't see. Bummer. Does this count? Will delete if not. They looked so cool.

18-Feb-24
Found during an extended weekend in the Ballarat area with e.gregory1, with the main aim of completing the Ballarat GeoTour, but taking the opportunity to attend a number of events and CITOs, and searching for a good range of caches while touring around the district. Access was fenced off but I managed to take a photo from the northern end of the laneway. From what I could see there was some interesting artwork, but just not observable at close proximity! Thanks for the Virtual cache McAdies!

Catching up some logs... we actually came here on the 30th, so must have just made it in before they closed the outer street end. We did see plenty of works in the shopping area. Parked nearby and went for pancakes for lunch, yum! A nice little lane full of surprises. Maybe if it's fenced off they might fix up the missing ones? Photo attached! Chose the train as we are part of the team doing "Abandoned Railways" in SA. This is the reason I enjoy geocsching so much. Discovering little "pots of gold" like this. Many thanks to McAdies for creating this awesome cache. Brilliant. I'm going to attach 2 photos. The one without my name is my fave, however I couldn't contort myself to take a photo of my real fave item and my hand in the same photo. Here in town for a Basketball tournament at Selkirk all week. Hoping to attend a social gathering as well, if I'm not too exhausted.

Day 2 of our Ballarat Boys BreakAn early start sees Breadman75, Davinells and I cruising the mean streets of Ballarat and surrounds in our hire car, the Peugeot Party Prowler We still havent worked out how to unlock the doors from the inside thoughHaving spent the day taking care of the Geo Tour caches away from the centre of Ballarat, a couple of challenges all over Mt Beckworth and a couple of LGAs further out weve still got time to collect one or two more before bed oh and a couple of Ad LabsIts kind of sad to see whats happened to this installation we enjoyed whats leftThanks McAdies for highlighting this location

13-Jan-24
Its day 2 of Peppas plan to traipse around Ballarat and surrounds chasing the geotour and easily getting sidetracked by shiny things. With Beardman75 at the wheel we have covered a lot of ground today ticking off oldies, challenges and new LGAs. After dinner we took a walk down the lane way to check out the very cute artwork. I cant get enough of the Great Outdoors, so easy choice for me. Tftc McAdiesFind #5268

WOW - cute little sculptures. What a fabulous idea! Am in Ballarat to attempt the Geotour and had time to find a few extra caches, I glad I found this one. The miniture scultures were well worth viewing. As it's Summer and holiday time, 'The Great Outdoors' was top of my favourites list. Thanks McAdies for setting up this Virtual.PS: The Troll Dolls [TN6TR0] were with me on my great caching adventures today.

08-Jan-24
Last day for the assault on the Ballarat Geotour with isopeda. Lots of rain again as we try and clean up some of the many ALs and bonuses. This virtual looked interesting and ended up being the last cache of our 3rd day caching in Ballarat. Intriguing little laneway. Tftc

08-Jan-24
Today after dinner, barb2e and I came past Time Lane to visit this artwork. It had just started drizzling again. It seems that nearly half of these sculptures have been removed. The ones still in place are fabulous. I couldn't really decide which was my favourite, so I am attaching two photos. TFTC *Found with [Geooh GO](https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.mobiltal.geoohGO)*

06-Jan-24
It was sad seeing that several of the sculptures were removed! Still worth a look though, and we enjoyed spotting some of the more out of the way ones.

I was sad that the little door wasnt there anymore. I liked the caravan one though!

**Incidents In Time @10.41am, 4th Jan 2024**Travelled to Ballarat today with a muggle friend to attend an event (whilst muggle-ette visited family) and of course to grab a couple of caches along Sturt St.This one was a target due to its favourite points. It didnt disappoint; its like stepping into an unknown miniature art gallery, with little treasures revealing themselves as you move along the laneway (which I only now realise is Time Lane, and the title makes more sense. Nice). Thanks McAdies for bringing us to here and congrats on the wonderful use of the virtual. Cache on ??*Throw off the bowlines. Sail away from the safe harbour. Explore. Dream. Discover.* **Mark Twain**-The **Ballarat GeoTour** ends on 4 March 2024! Be sure to find all the caches, and earn the souvenir, before the tour is archived. Join us for the [Farewell Ballarat GeoTour Event - GCAFQ8B](https://coord.info/GCAFQ8B) on 18 February 2024.

We had some spare time in the afternoon to venture into the centre of Ballarat. The roads were being closed off for the bike trials the next day. We arrived near GZ, to be detoured due to mall works that were well underway. On our walk, we discovered another piece of street art pretty much the opposite side of the mall to Incidents In Time. We found our way around to the alley and enjoyed the walk along. I was joined by Greatjustgreat today. The hardest part of this virtual was to decide which was a favourite. We both chose separate sculptures, but with a similar theme. Thanks very much McAdies for bringing us to this location that we probably would not have found otherwise. This is a new favourite cache of mine. Cheers.

01-Jan-24
After completing the Geotour we were driving past and due to the public holiday we had endless parks to choose from as previous attempts failed due to the lack of parking. After wandering up and down admiring the remaining sculptures we were just about to pose for the photo when we were muggled out but after waiting them out we had the place to ourselves. Thanks McAdies for the cache

Found during my roadtrip from Canberra to do the Ballarat GeoTour. After finishing the GeoTour and the 50 Must See Places series, I had time to drive around Ballarat to do whatever else I wanted before leaving in the afternoon to drive to Albury. This was a nice quick virtual after having pancakes at The Pancake Kitchen for lunch (this chain used to be at home in Canberra, I have missed their pancakes a lot). Interesting alleyway and a well named one too, TFTC McAdies!

Loving this lane with the great outdoors as my favourite sculpture!Using my Ballarat map I added my name to the photo like a billboard in a caravan park!!! unfortunately a few sculptures are missing but its still worth visiting! FP

#21522. Robmc needed an Event on the 21st of the month for a Challenge apparently and with the choice of Frankston late afternoon or Ballarat at lunch time, the one with the easiest drive from Williamstown won out.We picked out a few other caches to do whilst there to gather the magic number of 12 finds for the Solstice Souvenir. I love the background picture of the bright pink umbrellas and the little house on your cache page. I was very disappointed when I entered the lane and couldn't actually see anything but then Rob started pointing them out. Very cute but sad to see that quite a few seem to have disappeared. Needless to say once I got down and low and spied the little row of letterboxes I knew that was the photo I needed (being the letterbox queen and all....) I hope some of the missing pieces can be replicated or replaced some time. Thanks McAdies

21-Dec-23
I needed an event for the 21st, and the Ballarat Gravy Day was too good to pass up. While BettyBoo3747 and I were up this direction, we completed another 12 caches for the souvenir. What a great collection of small artworks! It is a pity several of them have gone (I should have done the virtual earlier!)This is definitely one of those placed I would not have noticed without the virtual. Thanks, Robmc.

20-Dec-23
I have visited this laneway on many occasions and usually feel warm and fuzzy looking at the artworks. Today I didn't, as it appears a number of the pieces have been removed. Whether through vandalism or by the artist concerned, I suspect the former, it was a little sad.On a better note, those that remain are still fantastic. Thanks McAdies for bringing me back here today.

What a quirky little place

19-Dec-23
A few spare days to fill before Christmas so I made the decision to hit the road and go on a road trip from Adelaide to Ballarat. The main purpose of the trip is to tackle the Ballarat Geo Tour before they get archived in February 2024. Day four was spent in the heart of Ballarat tackling some caches and Adventure Labs on the main drag. Then to onto the Eastern side of the lake. In the afternoon I went for an excursion out to Skipton to bag a new LGA. Interesting little place. Obligatory photos have been attached. Thanks for the cache McAdies.# # SmileSmile #13832 SmileSmile # #

Virtual visited with dalerious, although he has already logged this cache. My partner has told me so much about this little inconspicuous lane way that I was dying to see it for myself Big Grin. So sad though, that it appears that a few of the quirky little art pieces are gone.Still a wonderful place to visit though.A shame the council is allowing things to disappear. Thank you McAdies for bringing me here.Still gets a favourite point.

A very interesting piece that youd otherwise walk past. Photo attachedToday was one of the best caching days Ive ever had - across 25k finds, and 12 years of playing! Ballarat just doesnt disappoint. I could easily spend a couple of extra days here. I had a target list of 50 caches. Knowing I wouldnt make a dent in the stockpile out here, i prioritised the geotour before it ends, virtuals, a couple of 2001 caches, and my favourite - challenge caches, mixed in with a few rare icons that I struggle to find in WA. I could have easily given out 50 favourite points today, but I dont have many spare!Leaving Melbourne just after 6am and finishing ba k in Melbourne just after 7 - it was a solid days work! Thanks to everyone involved in making the geotour a success and the local COs for their great caches and experiences that they shared with me.Will be back next time were in WA for a holiday.

Out and about again, Im in Victoria continuing the quest for more interstate caches. Weather was ok so made the most of the time here with a bit of sightseeing too. A little late as I had a lot of catching up to do over the week.Found a variety of hides and in different areas which made for a nice day. Generally quick finds todayThanks to all the COs for the hides I found.

Having attended a recent event in Brisbane where a fellow cacher brought my attention to the geo tour in Ballarat and its up coming finish in February, i knew this was something I had to make an effort to get to.I also quickly realised that the attribute for the geo tour is the last one I need to achieve a personal challenge so the planning began.Today is day three of the mission and Ive completed the geo art and the tour so Im very happy. Todays mission is to get to 100 in this local LGA and then head towards Sunbury in the hope to pick up another 25 to also reach 100 in that LGA before my flight out tonight. Obviously this is for a local challenge cache at home. What else. Unfortunately I missed the events in Castlemaine. Time got the better of me.I jumped in The geowagon and ventured off the o soon find a nice parking spot. A short stroll later soon found me at ground zero. It wasnt long before cache was found and my name was printed for prosperity. I returned the cache to its hiding space and made my way back to the car. Ready to head to the next adventureA big thanks to the cache owners of Ballarat for making this cache available to be found.Cheers

Cool little alley way. Got 5 days off from work so I decided to come to Ballarat and do the Geo Tour before its gone, also grabbing random caches and Adventures labs along my journey. So thanks to all who have placed caches. Sl cache replaced.

Another place that we wouldn't have known about if it weren't for geocaching. Alas, some installations are gone, but my favourite was the letterboxes...so much detail and easily missed. Fav pt given. TFTC

A whole four day trip with Aquilus1 to do the GeoTour in Ballarat some caching around Geelong and anything else that looked good on the way.
Weather was ok albeit a bit on the wet side for the first two days.
This cache was one of the ones we had the oportunity to do.

Looking a bit worse for wear, someone has taken lots of art down.

Thank you McAdies for the nice cache and experience you gave us!

10-Sep-23
Didn't have much here at the moment which was a shame. Hopefully the art is returned soon but there is a few items still.

This cache was one found on a trip away with Flintstone's for 4 days. We had the Geotour in Ballarat as our target, and made our way as far as Queenscliff.

Ballarat caching was a joy, and with the tour, we saw many lovely and interesting locations as well as stopping for many other caches as we passed. Lots of little walks helped with the colder first few days as well as being quite scenic.

A change of weather and scenery towards Queenscliff but the coast was a great place to visit with plenty to do and see. As always, more to do than there was time for, will just have to return one day! Thank you for your cache!

A fun weekend away with Davidwazza! TFTC!

01-Sep-23
We completed this virtual in the afternoon, and I was looking forward to seeing these sculptures after I had read the description. I had actually thought that this alley contained the umbrellas too (as [jesswrigley](http://coord.info/PRNW59T) was keen on seeing those, but that turned out to be a different alleyway slightly further away). Nevertheless, we really enjoyed our visit and seeing the small sculptures. An awesome place to highlight, with a Favourite Point to match. Even some of the other laneways spreading from the mall had interesting sculptures that were worth checking out. Thanks McAdies for the virtual cache placement and ongoing maintenance.

----------

This extended weekend, [jesswrigley](http://coord.info/PRNW59T), infant Cottontail and I were visiting Ballarat from Brisbane, targeting the [Ballarat GeoTour (GT4A1)](https://coord.info/GT4A1). Highlights included the historical architecture, buildings, and artwork/sculptures of inner Ballarat, Ballarat Botanic Gardens, Lake Wendouree, Sovereign Hill, Eureka Stockade, and mountains Mount Buninyong and Mount Warrenheip. We were lucky to have great weather with no rain and mostly blue skies each day, which aided our enjoyment of our trip. Apart from the targeted GeoTour geocaches, our geocaching has largely been opportunistic following tourist sights and attractions, although we attempted/targeted higher D-T combinations from solved puzzles, and rare cache types like virtual caches, Letterbox Hybrid caches, and Adventure Labs.

Today, the plan was to attack the western geocaches from the [Ballarat GeoTour](https://coord.info/GT4A1) which were some distance away, which involved visits to Miners Rest, Learmonth, and Lake Burrumbeet. We started the day with breakfast in inner-Ballarat, and scoped out the Sturt Street gardens with its sculptures and memorial plaques. During our western drive, it was also an opportunity to visit the Avenue of Honour, as we visited the end and then drove towards the Arch of Victory Memorial in Ballarat.
In the afternoon, we looped around Lake Wendouree and visited the Ballarat Botanical Gardens where infant Cottontail had a play, and we had a nice walk within the vicinity. It was then a final visit to Ballarat central, walking through Bridge Mall and window shopping in the area.

All I'd planned for today was getting the train to Geelong North and helping out at the cleanup. Anything after that would be a bonus.

Collecting smileys with feathertop was certainly a bonus.

She dropped me off at a station on her way home... and that's how I found myself in Ballarat. Just in time to catch a train home.

Now, I didn't catch that train, or the next. Where would be the fun in that?

A bit of train history, then a few pubs... and this compact exhibition.

Considering this tumble down the rabbit hole, you can probably guess my favourite.

Thanks, McAdies.

Thanks for this cache and highlighting the creativity that has gone into making use of the various cavities. We have walked this lane many times and never taken any notice before. Will be different from now on.

It was our goal to complete the geo tour today. We went out last night and did the first. And searched out the way points for the multi s. Anyway can’t resist a virtual so popped this one in to the list. Walked down the lane, was expecting to see a Sydney Rocks type lane. Was surprised to see the lane we were in. Thought our gps was wrong. On closer inspection the little treasures were revealed. I chose this one as we have a little van and love travelling with her. Unfortunately she was left home this time. FP, a great little surprise our cache name is on the smiley bag

We left this to log as Ninja Wasabi’s 500th cache, which has been a long time coming. This virtual was the one we wanted to make the milestone, and we got to it today. We love this place and the little sculptures. It was hard to pick a fav! In the end, it kind of picked itself Thanks for helping us reach the milestone, McAdies!

Thanks for the cache. This is my favourite as this is how I want to spend my retirement, travelling around in my caravan, geocaching

Today the snuggle muggle was catching up with her friends for a ladies day, which meant I had the whole day to myself. So of course what am I going to do with a whole day of free time...

Cache of course! So I decided to make a day trip up to [Ballarat](https://www.visitballarat.com.au/) and cache along the way. Today's main focus was on finding oldies and virtuals, but I did grab a few others along the way.

This virtual was my thirteenth stop along my trip today. I always love virtuals and with them being a bit more rare I always try to stop and find them.

I loved this art installation. I accidentally walked by it the first time, originally thinking that the artwork would be a bit bigger than it was. However, once I noticed the first one I then made my way to all of them, stopping and admiring them as I went. This one "The Well Worn Path", turned out to be my favourite one.

Now I just had to wait for the area to be clear of muggles so I could take a selfie with my caching name sign. This actually turned out to be longer than expected, as the weather finally was nice, so all the muggles were out and about.

However, eventually the area became clear and I was able to grab my photo.

Big thanks to [McAdies](https://www.geocaching.com/p/?guid=b8248d39-1df2-45fb-9223-bef863abfec4&wid=4e6656a2-5af1-4bf9-ac6c-2f9c6ee76f8e&ds=2) for bringing me to this wonderfully little area, a location I know I would have never went to if it wasn't for this virtual! TFTC.

Plenty of laughs and fun were had in Ballarat, catching up with Happy pants and Omegaman1971 for a few days. Our main focus will be the Geo tour, but will take the opportunity to grab any other caches along the way.

This was one of the cool hides we found. There is some great artwork around town to admire.

Thanks for placing this hide, something a bit different.

When I first walked through Time Lane I didn't even recognise that there a little hidden sculptures. Only after arriving at the Bridge Mall and looking around without finding any sculptures there, I got on the listing back again and noticed that I went to war. The second time passing Time Lane I was able to find some of these cute tiny sculptures.

I picked the caravan as the log-foto because from next week on we are travelling with a caravan the western coast from Perth to Darwin.

Regards from Switzerland.

Great find! The kids loved exploring the nooks and crannies. Sorry we did not have a pen with us so it was a thumbs up only. Tftvc

My photo is of the caravan because I like to travel around Australia. I started my travels in a small van then for a brief period a caravan and then on two more campervans and a postie bike. Thank you for bringing these sculptures to my attention.

We’ve chosen The Great Outdoors for our pic. Deserves another FP for sure.
