Mr CatseyesNZ fixed the issue with the lid. Bit of a bump with a handy piece of wood did the trick! Tftc
Also quickly found the cache, but was initially unable to open. While completing some of the nearby caches along the cycle trail I picked up an ideal sized piece of wood that proved very useful when I returned to the original location. After a bit of gentle tapping with this recently acquired ToTT, I was able to undo the crossed thread and soon had this nice cache in hand, TFTC
Day one riding the Great Taste Trail from Nelson to Wakefield. We found the cache quickly as we have found similar caches to this. We were unable to open the cache as the lid has been cross threaded. TFTC
Good find today but found cache lid off and no log book/sheet.

Yay! We found it! And left a little prize for the next person. Awesome if you have something to swap it with.
A bad start to our day with a flat tyre and a dnf. Hopefully back on track here, thanks Seignoid.
A nice morning walk along the cycle way. Relatively busy, but we managed to sneak the caches between muggles. Interesting location to get to! TFTC!!
#11,372. I am geocaching around Nelson today before flying back to Wellington. Headed out towards Mapua direction for a challenge cache I ran out of time to sign yesterday. Having found that one we are slowly heading back towards the city and the airport. Stopped to grab this one on the way. Have enjoyed doing the railway series in the Manawatu and Marlborough regions. Now doing some in Nelson. This type of cache hide is now well known to me. So a quick scramble, open and sign of the logbook. Thanks the Seagnoid for hiding the cache here and the history of railways in this area.
Time for a wee family summers holiday; Kaikoura, Picton and Nelson.
After Kaikoura and Picton, time for a wee stay in Richmond with family....Mr TG grew up in Richmond. After an afternoon at Rabbit Island stopped by here on the way home for a quick find and sign. Thanks.

The hint had us puzzled here but a bit of exploration gave us the find. Number four for the morning. TFTC.
Took us a little bit of time to orient ourselves but then NZ5 was happy to hunt an he had it in no time. TFTC.
Took a lot longer than necessary as I was out of sight of the cache for quite some time as I struggled to orientate myself in the area. All in good order. Bone dry! TFTC
That's the last time I trust Google maps to get me to GZ. When it said to stop on the main road, I knew something was wrong and pulled over before I was in a dangerous location.
I hiked the last 100m and then scratched my head as to where the cache was located until I saw something that looked very interesting. TFTC.

Another neat cache in this series. Thank you the Seagnoid for this cache.

Out for a bike ride to Brightwater today with muggle hubby. Picked the caches along the way and had an enjoyable coffee. Tail wind on the way back to Richmond.
I'd been here searching once before, but it was my first attempt at any of the rail series. Having found a few others, I spotted it right away. Thanks for another good history lesson and TFTC
#19913. As we approached to GZ we saw a couple of teenage muggles lurking under the overbridge. Not sure what they were up to (maybe creating some jumps for their bikes). I spotted the familiar hide, and scurried up the slope to get to it. The cache was a little round the corner, so I put myself between the muggles and the cache, and made short work of signing the log. TFTC.
Found with StreetWalkerNZ as we travel from Nelson to Brightwater, Wakefield and beyond, (then back again). Our object today is to find the ad labs in the area as well as solved puzzles and anything else that takes our fancy .
Another location I know well. We were a bit worried to see a couple of teens mooching around under the overbridge but they luckily ignored us. SW spotted the cache and did the paperwork. TFTC.

Found at 24 January 2021 9:14 pm on day one of a short holiday to the Nelson-Tasman region. As it's an area I haven't cached in before (and a long time since I've visited), I of course wanted to pick up some caches (but not as many as I would have liked, but family came first on this one). Thanks to all the cache owners for putting these out.
The Seagnoid gets around with his railway caches - I'll certainly pick them up when I can for a certain challenge cache (if it's still around). I had a little think about where it could be before I realised where it actually was so headed in that direction and spotted a familiar-looking object. Opened it up and revealed the cache. Signed the log and replaced. Interesting how this cache has so much fewer favourite points (6%) vs Picton (18%), given it's the same method of hiding - obviously one location is visited by more tourists than the other. Anyway, I'll add to this one's tally, not least because I happened to find a fiver in the grass while heading back to the path (I hope it wasn't from a previous finder). All good here, and TFTC+FP

The find was straightforward, retrieving it took a bit longer - I found the final 10 metres of the approach mildly tricky.
Nice to tick off another on this great series.

Theres a line of caches here to snag so decided today was the day. Parked at the overbridge and went walking. I remember this pace and this installation. And yes theres my tag. OK time to sign this one off. Cheers
Awesome! Its a fine day here and in Nelson, so Toby and I headed over the hill for some caching, shopping and the most important thing, the event hosted by the Birthday guys. Picked up Bullertrouts Bro and went exploring for a few hours. Great weather and great time. Cheers

There was a previous cache here I never got around to looking for, and then it was archived. Decided I wouldn't tempt fate again. Stopped for a look on the way back to home base in Stoke. TFTC
On a 3 week geocaching trip with woolwood9.
*Very nice find for us here.*
SL **tm/ww NZ**, but may appear as a black smudge on the many wet logs or plastic log strips.
*Thanks for the reason to visit this location and for the cache!*
Another day of rain. Thanks for the great series!

Cool find and thanks for the history - neat comparing the station photo to current layout
Found on another caching adventure with Missnboyz. My apologies for the late log!
Always happy to find a Seagnoid cache! This railway series is excellent. TFTC

Last one along this route out and about in the sunshine. Off for some lunch now. Tftc
It's a busy stop here at Appleby! Waited for the crowd to disperse and then I went in for the grab and liberated the cache container back to the truck to do the signing duties without attracting any attention. Quick return and just in time to get the boarding call for the freezing works. Thanks Seagnoid.
Found on the magic date day, 02-02-2020 .
Nicely done clever hide. Thank for cache.

GPS Took us to the wrong side of the bridge for a start but hubby had a good scramble and eventually came across a familiar looking cache. Didn't take the tb inside but just signed and replaced the log. Thanks for the cache
Just out for a last cache or two this year
Thanks for the history on the bridge.

Found with Ulmuslynx on this cloudy Nelson morning.
Quick search around and it wasn't long before we were signing the log. Another great hide

I needed a few caches today for my 10+ calendar challenge, with in drizzling a bit I wasnt really keen for much of a walk so a park and grab under shelter sounded perfect. Didnt take long to find. Thanks for the cache Seagnoid

Paddle chick and I ducked out between the showers to get this cache another nice railway cache to mark off. Thanks the Seagnoid
After a trip out to the new Virtual at Mapua, and a nice feed at a nearby hostelry it was back to the shops at Richmond, for mrs capperz to be dropped off, and me to head to pastures further afield. Parked at the end of the lane-way and walked down the lane, then up to GZ. No problems with the familiar hide type, 2nd of 4 rail caches today. T F T C t S
A trip over the hill for a bit of shopping, lunch out and maybe a few geocaches? Alright then.
Despite being invited to the Goulter FTF frenzy I already had plans with mrs capperz so had to decline. The alternative was a nice day out and 15 caches which is a huge effort after my recent cache drought. We were on the road at 0800 and back early evening so made a good day of it and the weather played nece, despite an occasional southerly gust.

This one brought back fond memories as I grew up 400mts away in Bateups Rd. I remember the train when it was running and also when the lines were pulled up.This area was one of our adventure play areas for a number of local kids.
I think the photo would have been taken while standing on the top of the bridge, not so much traffic then, too dangerous now.
Thanks for the cache and memories.

Thanks for the cache and memories.
We were pleased to see that the rail series has arrived in our neck of the woods, as the history is interesting and as we both have been living in and around the Nelson area for most of our lives we have many memories of many of these places from our childhood.
When I was a little kid, I used to have a friend who lived about 30m from GZ. We used to play and build huts very close to GZ, so I was very familiar with this area.
This was a nice quick find, partly due to having found several rail series caches in Marlborough, the log book was signed and returned as I had found it.
Thanks for placing the cache and thank you for the smiley

A nice hide and a quick find early today with very few people out and about. All in good condition. Thanks for the series which is great for my Calendar Day finds to get me to 4 per day.
