This one brought a little tear to our eyes but well worth the visit to this little place. Thanks for bringing us here. TFTC
Thought we would make a quick stop here as have been out this way a few times visiting cousins. Had to have a bit of a lookyloo around but finally found it, signed the log. Left a few swaps. TFTC
Heading to Lameroo for some JLWE planning by following an unfound cache route with Mattycat, with temps for the weekend over 40 degrees we had the car nice and cool plenty of fluids and hopefully some quick finds, very quiet here just the buzz of annoying flies but cache was soon found after a short searchTFTC Hurtle
Found it! What a lonely spot in the middle of nowhere! Found after about 5 minutes of searching. TFTC!
Was being taxi for Don't Panic Arthur at The Bend today and made good use of the time between drop off and pick up by adding to my smilie count from the surrounding area. Made sure I got the twelve new Wandering Heroes that had appeared since my last taxi duties and found quite a few others as well. This was one of 36 for the day.
Thanks to Hurtle for putting out this cache.

Our on a cache hunt with goingplaces2 and picking up a few a bit further from the highways. This was a nice easy find and all was in good order. TFTC.
While doing a bit more touring of the mallee with ilook4geo, this was one of the caches we found. There was no problem in locating the container and both names were soon noted on the log to mark our visit. All was replaced as found. Thanks go to Hurtle for placing and maintaining this cache.
Took thd Mazda off the beaten track and it survived. Thank you for placing a cache in such a peaceful place. TFTC hurtle.
We were taking a short cut down to Karoonda through the wee little villages and this was a must as we passed through.
A well hidden cemetery.
Thanks Hurtle for the placement.

Thanks Hurtle for the placement.
Todays road of choice was north out of Karoonda then west, east and back to the caravan park. Yesterday we thought that we had finished all the caches here in Karoonda but after we had finished our logging up popped a letterbox that we had not downloaded to our file. This was rectified and we collected the information for the final which was quickly done and the log was signed on the way back to the caravan.
We found a sign on a road that neither of us had ever seen before it stated "Drift sand over road" and we really did need to put the car into 4WD to get us through it, this was all on a hard formed road.
All the caches that we targeted today were found and are in good condition, all log sheets/books are also good. Again more dirt and dust and flies, we believe that all Australian flies live in South Australia. There are a few less now, some have gone to fly heaven.

I see dead people.
I will apologize right now, because everything from here on is here solely for the purpose of padding the word count.
The cache was found in the last place we looked, which as usual was not the first place we looked. Thanks for placing a fun cache guys. We do love your work. We signed the logbook. Of course we did that is way we play this game. Cache in pretty good condition for the cache age.

One day i might finish this series. quick find.
Out with the JAMS crew for our monthly caching run. This run was with JJ52, Allister w, Mogni and sir_spectre plus Tallbikestan but minus Michells&hound. All logs today where stamped as mystery randoms. Todays target was to do the armpit series then finish the Wandering Heroes trail where we left it uncompleted at sandal wood last time and then slowly cache the back roads back to Karoonda. The wandering heroes trail was in a poorer state then last time and that is saying some thing. This time out of 104 caches on the trail including a few stray trads beside the freeway we replaced 18 caches that where found broken/cracked but surprisingly almost al the logbooks where saved and less then a hand full of logbooks on this section were full and needed replacing. It was nice to see some of the caches still themed after all this years. Also good to see a few large caches out here. A good day out even if it was 35 degrees. Some time along the Wandering Heroes i got my 15,000 find as well.

Out for a Sunday drive with the JAMS team plus one. JJ52, allisterW, mogni, sir_spectre and tallbike stan. We were targtting the last of the wandering heroes and then doing a few others along the way. Any caches that needed maintence were fixed along the way.
Thanks to Hurtle from mogni

Out on another JAMS day with allister w, mogni, sir_spectre and tallbikestan targeting the rest of the Wandering Heroes that we didn't finish last time we were out this way. We started off in Murray Bridge then stopped off at the Happy Armpit series before heading to Sandalwood where we left off previously. [^] After finishing the Wandering Heroes and some others that we went past we zig zagged back to Tailem Bend finding some random caches in random locations which all added to the fun of the day. It was pretty hot and the car air conditioner got a good workout, but that didn't stop us even though I was quite tired by the end of the day.
We had finished the WH and now it was time to find some caches along some great dirt roads and tracks. [^]
A quick find once we arrived at the Lost Cemetery.
Thanks for the cache Hurtle.

Today the JAMS crew was out and about to complete the Wandering Heroes series. JJ52, mogni, Sir Spectre, tallbikestan and I met at the crack of dawn on a predicted hot day. We worked great as a team to find the remaining caches of the series as well as a few caches before it and a few after it. I was mainly the driver today and I filled up the car at Murray Bridge before the first find and from then on I didn't turn the car of until we had done finding and headed back to Tailem Bend, when we got to Tailem Bend and had 4kms of fuel left which added a adrenaline rush to the day. Thanks to all the CO's and the cachers that are a reason for another find. The JAMS crew hid a JAMS cache today to add to the series.
Another lost thing but today we paid our respects.
Thanks to Hurtle and **clear skies** from TeamAstro. [^] Cache the planet! [^]
A quick find as I made my way via a very circuitous route to get that maintains done.
Today I could try and cross off one of my goals for this year but to do so I needed to find some caches. Good excuse to go for a drive and do some maintains a fair way from home. Having recently solved a puzzle that nobody had left found was just a bonus. [:o)]
Only one of the three goals from last year achieved. So once again trying and fill my calendar with multi-caches and complete loop 11 again this year. [^] For my third goal I will try and get my DNF numbers to single digits. That should keep me busy again this year! [:o)]
***Thanks Hurtle for putting out this cache and maintaining it for our enjoyment. ***

Had an early morning start to the day with a trip into the city from the Hills to attend 'For the Early Birds! #20' and 'CITO Regency Park Wetlands'. Headed back up to Bridgewater to pick up e.gregory1 for a caching foray in the Murraylands to find the caches in the Lowan Conservation Park, up to Goondooloo and out to Copeville, Perponda and Borika, then to Marima and the periphery of Karoonda before finishing with the CITO at Tailem Bend. Thanks for the cache Hurtle!
A big day’s caching today, beginning with the early morning event at Mile End and the CITO at Regency Park. Then it was out east of Murray Bridge for the main part of the day to find a selection of Traditional, Mystery and Multi caches with FeatherWaite before ending up at Tailem Bend later in the afternoon for another CITO.
The weather was kind to us, with a lovely sunny, calm and not too hot day. Just perfect for caching!
We found all but one of the caches we targeted and all in all it was a very enjoyable and productive day (from a geocaching perspective at least!).
Thanks Hurtle for the cache.

Out for a day in the Mallee.
Lot's of driving on a very windy day.
I took the wrong road, once I got on the right road I found where I needed to be.

Found while out and about with both M's in attendance. Mr M wanted to take that road, I insisted on the other road. I was wrong, so the poor Koleos had to do a 4WD park up the side of a very skinny road. We meandered towards the cache, the fences were long gone, so no climbing was needed. The lonely grave's here were being almost overtaken by the sands of time.
Mary was worried when the cache took longer than 30 seconds to find. It was just over there, and Mark's better sight helped make the find.
Great little cemetery to bring people too, plus the extra fun we created by approaching by the wrong road made this a memorable visit.

A short detour off the main drag and I followed some tyre tracks of the previous visitor (for the second cache in a row). An easy find at GZ. Cache and contents all in good order here.
Thanks for the cache Hurtle.

On a late afternoon cache run with hevwalker finding some out of the way caches.
This was one of those places... a secluded and lonely cemetery with souls that passed so young.

Nice warm day out with
Purrfect Di, Sebastbat and Jack.
Perponda was on the Waikerie railway line.
The town was surveyed in 1919 and the name is derived from the local Aboriginal word for the plains.
So it's 100 this year! Happy Birthday Perponda
Population 60 at 2016 count.
But how the heck did you come across it. Much lost heritage in this graveyard I think!

The road to get in had just been graded and there was no way my car was getting in, got a log and made a ramp for the next people to access the cemetery l, cache was easily found.

A big day out with 101 finds between Adelaide and Blachetown, definitely didn’t take the google maps recommended route that’s for sure, a detour to Murray bridge then through the back roads to Loxton and back to blanchetown. A nice day out overall when dodging the large dust storm.

Whoooo Hooooo FTF at 1.55pm with Bindi the geo pooch!!! 55 minute drive out from Murray Bridge and a quick find on getting to the GZ. As a railway siding this was a significant settlement in the 1920s to 1940s. A shop and church and oval! and a significant rural population in the surrounding area. There was also a small school that was in operation in the 20s, 30s and 40s. Considering all this there must be a number of now unmarked graves in the cemetery but I cant find any cemetery records online. Easy drive and an interesting bit of scrub Id love to come back and explore!! Thanks Hurtle for the hide!!
