Found after a short search. Not the obvious locational. TFTC Cheers Leadn Lace
After spending 2 days at Copley and 4 days in Arkaroola we were now at Quorn for a couple of days. I woke early this morning and did not want to disturb the others in the group sharing the cabin so I decided I had 2 caches in Quorn to find. I walked to the Lions Park first then onto this cache. What a great tree. It is a pity it is dead though. The cache was pretty easy to find, log signed and walked back to the cabin.TFTC barnic
Found it! Quick find in a nice spot on a cold morning walk around Quorn. TFTC!
Today is our 2nd day in South Australia, visiting from Brisbane. We started in Port Augusta and spent the day driving to Hawker and back. Dodged thorny bushes on the way in but wasn't so successful on the way out.Feather inside the container scared me.
What to do when youve got 2 hours spare before the train leaves, find a cache of course! Even managed to have a wander around a part of Quorn I havent been to before.
Still slowly making our way west back home to WA but a day trip from Melrose to Quorn via Port Augusta is todays plan.Grabbing caches as we go, easier to stop when not towing.TFTC
Enjoying the day in Quorn. Theres a few trails like these made by local kids at home. TFTC
OCW PelDroedGwin and geodog Peppa Visiting Quorn from Port Augusta today.Theres so many birds around here, loved their calls. Tftc
#2551 After a great trip on the Pichi Richi and some lunch in Quorn it was then a leisurely arvo walk around town with the geohounds collecting caches. A quick find here. Enjoyed exploring the nearby native gardens in flower. TFTC barnic.
Tftc. I’ve enjoyed my short stay at Quorn. The cache adventures have made it just that bit nicer
Adelaide to Port Lincoln Road Trip!
Day Two: Quorn to Whyalla.
Weather: sensational.
A quick find here once my interest in the obvious started to wane. One of the locals viewed me with suspicion from the footpath - I waited until she was out of sight before doing the deed. If I was in better shape she might have thought that I was one of those crazy marathon runners, but then I imagine that they are all resting up today.
Thanks for this hide barnic.
It’s officially a Mega!

Working our way home from a tour at Maralinga with a group of cachers, mainly from South Australia. Now there is only Geoturtle37, Team Crackers, Micaparamedic and myself. We are having a great time, visiting new, remote locations and finding caches as we go.Sorry we didn't take a photo but we were working from a written list and didn't read the cache page until it was too late. The cache was found, signed and returned. Thanks for placing this cache and bringing us here.
Out for a stroll this morning before heading off and made a quick find.
Thanks barnic for placing this cache.

Catching up with missed late logs. With half the team heading home via Maralinga and the AnneBeadell the other half remained in Geraldton to help out sick friendsI am travelling with Geoturtle37, micaparamedic and Papi4506 picking up any caches most of us do not have.We all pulled up here and we were surprised that on such a great day there was no one to be seen anywhere. We really wish that they had these things around when we were kids. The best we ever had was when we made our own jumps out of a couple of upside down spud boxes and a couple bits of wood nailed together.Being deserted made us look a lot less suspicious and with this many eyes looking the cache was found quite quickly. After adding our names to the log book the cache was returned to it's hide as found and we headed back to the cars to try our luck at the next one. Thanks barnic for the cache.
Happy to report cache and contents in good condition. Quick and easy find near big tree using your geo senses.
On our travels we stopped to grab this cache, what a beautiful old tree that would have been, nice hide too, thanks for placing this cache
After poking our heads in, we looked around the wise area and soon had the cache in hand

Found after a little while. Maybe got a bit confused with the hint. Anyway TFTC.
Met up with the froghoppin couple and with Purrfect Di and Jack to clean some of the colourful little marks from the geomap. A good chance to find some new ones and redeem a few old dnfs too.
Spent a bit of time looking in the wrong place, but eventually looked further afield and found the prize. Of course we were pumped !!
barnic we thank you for locating and maintaining the cache on our ever growing SA geo-map

Driving around - searching, spotting strange items and signing cache logs using some or all of the resources of GSAK (Geocaching Swiss Army Knife), Whereyougo, Garmin Montana 750i, Montana 680t, Etrex 35, Samsung S21u, Samsung S9, with Geocaching App, c:Geo, or Geooh Go, and Android Auto and other maps... or often with just a guyess or plain old dumb luck
Plenty of the luck stuff actually !!!
*All the online logs are composed and published with GSAK of course.*

Danger! Caching is a very hazardous activity!
Look out for sand, mud, snakes, surprise cliffs, roos, wombats, things falling from trees, bulldust, and floods, and try not to get tetanus from rusty mint tins and don't fall off your ladder...
-- -- -- -- -- -- -- and do watch out for bugs !!! . [xx(]
Make Travel Bugs the Only bugs you share and pass on (Covid cancels caching!)
Keep a safe distance - cache the countryside
Heaps good of all those placing quality caches out and about around the country areas,
in sensible safe places especially! - it keeps our game fun, and interesting
Much appreciate you reading all this extra addition to the log word count! There's a challenge somewhere out there, apparently! You win a virtual smiley for the effort and getting to the end of the log Maybe if I worked out where I could do it and go back to normal logs again ! If you find the challenge let me know and we can put an end to these long logs !!!

Having to drop off the bird at a friends house in Quorn while we tackle a few days on Eyre Peninsula with Mattycat and Perfect Di gave us the chance to pick up a few around town before hitting the road, once we lifted our blinkers we soon had the cache in hand

Camping in Quorn, what else is there to do while you wait for the pub to serve tea. Walk around and grab a few geocaches. It was a quick walk down from the C/van park to grab this one. This one had us scratching our heads for some time, convinced it was missing. We poked and prodded from different angles until it hit us that we were barking up the wrong tree. Very clever indeed. TFTC
Headed out early with iluvtrekking for a day caching around Quorn. Although chilly in the morning it’s promising to be a lovely day. This is our kind of caching - so awesome. Thanks barnic
Found with richlink as part of our 2022 South Australian Adventure.
Today we toured from PA to Quorn and Hawker and back to PA.
Thanks for adding to our adventure barnic.

An easy find while wandering around Quorn, checking out the rail history, the beautiful stone houses and the geocaches.
Nice deceptive little cache in a nice location. Left a trackable for all to enjoy. TFTC

Thanks bardic! Sadly someone had removed the lid and thrown lid and container in separate places. We retrieved, signed log, and replaced in proper location.
