Logs
We looked around and tried the biggest boulder. Up Geoian went to the top and located cache. Had a mishap with same. TFTC
First i droppwled the pencil. signed the log, then in replacing, i dropped the whole container down the chasm. no chance of recovery, and i have nothing to replace it with. my humblest apologies. even with the effort you put into the hide, it wasnt child proof. it was a challenge to climb, but i did manage it. spotted a shingle back ? lizard whilst up there. fav from me
TFTC geoson saw this one while we were waiting for family to traverse our journey didnt look at terrain until we got there I lost confidence in myself very quickly but managed the scramble and grabbed the prize great cache favourite point for me.
Unfortunately a unfound one for us today. Was only wearing thongs & shorts & there was way way way to much blackberry for our bare legs.Up this way visiting a friend at Watsons Creek for his 3rd 21st birthday and introducing him to Geocaching.TFTH Sgetty.

Day 3 of our weekend Tamworth/Coonabarabran roadtrip.
Today we’re out grabbing some caches on the way to Bendemeer and then turning around and heading home, back to Newcastle! This was the main target of the day, a cool DT combo and what looks like a fun climb. Looked around then checked the obvious spot and found the cache.
Thanks for placing and maintaining this cache Sgetty!

We’re headed home after a weekend out in the Tamworth and Coonabarabran areas chasing a few targets, while trying to maintain our DT average! Nice weather for caching….
That was fun…. Easy bouldering. Coords for us S935 E370

Well, guarded by brambles. Close took the Capricorn along, but she wasn’t feeling quite up to the climb. So where it could’ve been, but we were not agile enough to get to it.
Going in to Bendy for a recycling run we had out eyes on this cache for the way back. I had scouted the location and was sure what needed to be done. With Dino along, I planned to sent him up and he was up and down in a flash wih the cache found nicely hovering in place.
Thank you Sgetty for putting the cache out and maintaining it.

I had the day to myself, so what better way to spend the morning than hitting the road & finding some caches.
This cache ticks an empty box in my D/T matrix & was the first target for the morning. Got to GZ OK & wondered if there was a better way to get to the top. After a lap, I confirmed there wasn't so I scrambled (fairly easily, in the end) up to the right elevation. After a quick scan of likely spots, I saw a hint of the cache & made the find. Great, fun hide in a good location. FP for me. TFTC!

Instead of heading mega north to Townsville for Easter, Seffnjarah and I planned a long weekend road trip doing some bushwalks whilst targeting puzzles, EC's, unloved caches, high favourite points and some higher elevation caches.
After a night in the swag in Armidale, today we planned on heading west through Invergowrie before turning south, and then returning via Uralla to clean up a long list of caches in Armidale.
Arriving here we started searching the listed coordinates, but it became evident quickly from the terrain that we were not in the right spot. We referenced a few logs and move our search zone about 15 to 20 metres.
Seff the self proclaimed goat climbed this large boulder before I could say "my turn" and the found was made in no time. Lots of water in the river nearby. Managed to CITO a few JD n Coke cans the local grubs have left, before we continued on to the next one.
Many thanks, Sgetty
Pete

Crookedpete and I were given leave passes from our respective families for the Easter long weekend for a geocaching road trip. I suspect that this was our families' Easter present to themselves to have a weekend alone without our company .
As members of The Bromance geocaching collective, we are a rather contrarian bunch, so while the main geocaching action was apparently up north over Easter we decided to instead head south from Brisbane. Our main focus was on caches with lots of favourites, good DT combinations, high elevation or sitting sad and neglected with no visitors for an extended period.
After finding a couple of other local unloved caches, our route back to the highway took us past this cache. There was a good amount of water flowing in the river today after the recent rains. Don’t know whether this affected the view of the “footsteps” but we certainly couldn’t see them as such.
Being the Dependable Expendable I was dispatched to climb to the top and surprised myself by making it to the top with some ease. A little bit of searching was required before I spotted the cache where it was tucked away safe and sound. Added our names in the logbook before safely making it back down without disaster. TFTC

Difficulty has been increased after it was muggled. It used to be slightly visual when standing in the right spot but that led to it been spotted and part of the container stolen.
After the elements getting it, now muggles have gotten to it! Searched at both the provided and recently suggested coords with no luck. Was about the concede when I spotted a container in the open on top of a very large split rock a few metres from the neighbs coords towards the river.
It was close enough to a t4 to get there, put all the contents I could see back in. Now where was it meant to be? Cant tell for certain. If I put it back will it get muggled again? Decided the crack on the top was a good as place as any until the CO works out what to do.

We were just about to call this one, then I spotted something. Now to get to it. Geohubby did the honours. Tftc

Found on our clean up a few caches in the area trip. Thanks for bringing us to this area. TFTC, TNLNSL.
All fixed, enjoying fishing for this one! Sorry for the long delay our son was born in June and has kept us busy
It has been seven months (since July 2020) when this geocache issue has been acknowledged.
Will this geocache be repaired any time soon? Thanks.
Will this geocache be repaired any time soon? Thanks.
Checked and requires maintenance. Part jammed due to environmental changes. Will fix ASAP
Out and about caching today at Bendemeer while visiting Tamworth and surrounds. Finding many caches that have been placed by CO's who bring us to spots we would probably not travel too and/or stop. Thank you to theses CO's - much appreciated. TFTC
Tamworth and Amrmidale Trip March 2020. Day 4. I headed north with Fitzy_1965 along the New England Highway towards Tamworth. Today we decided to stay an extra day around Tamworth and as far away as Uralla. The day was mostly roadside caches, but they were all of differing levels of challenges, especially when you have to deal with Farmers Friends and Stinging Nettles at almost every cache.
The rain started here so after having a good look over the big boulders we retreated to the car.
Thanks.

Alas we got up to the described GZ but could not locate a cache. The rain started so we gave up.
Like some other cachers, the "Phone and GPS would't agree. But with a bit of time and perseverance the treasure was discovered !! Thanks Sgetty We also enjoyed our picnic lunch here before embarking on the task and watched by a couple of mates.. Please except a FP as well.
Tamworth to Bendemeer
Arrived into Bendemeer at lunch time & have set up camp along the riverside.
This afternoon we travelled along roads we have never before been on. We enjoyed the many different rock formations we spotted along the roadside.
A good variety of cache hides & hints that kept us guessing.
We were spotted by the CO who just happened to be driving by as we had our TOTT in place ready to use. Gave a wave & thought the locals are friendly around here.
Good examples of the rocks here. FP given

Tiding things up and finally getting around to logging my DNFs
No find for us here today
No find for us here today
Found at 2:18 PM GAFF4.
I wouldn't necessarily say that they resemble a giant's footsteps. To begin with they are sitting on top of the ground - footsteps would be depressions in the ground?
Took a bit of effort to get up there but getting down was not a problem.
Thanks Sgetty.

Finally a chance to stop and Lachlan’s observation amongst other skills...to grab it. Thank you !
Well after getting a nudge from the owner, I decided to have another go at this one on my way home. And I was right, the co-ords seemed to be a bit out.
Who would turn up just as I was casing the area, but the CO.
He confirmed my suspicion on GZ and so I was then resigned to the task at hand, getting the little sucker ... and get it I did !
All Good .. TFTC ..

Well this one a beaten me.
Looked for ages on my way thru this fantastic series, and could see many spots it might be, but the GPS kept saying GZ was a spot it couldn't be. [?]
So I did the rest of the series then spent as long as I could til started to get dark, but still no joy.
Oh well, when next in the area, will try again.

Twice I tried but with no results except being covered with Farmers Friends. The GPS was dancing all over the place
Wow! what a great spot for a cache.... the Giants Footsteps were quite obvious. We looked around while the GPS got used to it's surroundings and the phone stopped making GZ here, there and everywhere. Even with the GPS still pointing a few metres away, there was one spot we thought needed investigation. And with a shove I was able to do it. Awesome hide and {FTF} at 1.57pm. TFTC Sgetty.
