Its almost refreshing when you drive down a country road and see a stump and there is no cache in it. You just turn up expecting a quick find and then have to head back to the car with your tail between your legs.Thats what happened here. I got back in the car and Mrs Woodyrothwell told me that I had not looked hard enough. I went back with my reading glasses on (which didnt help) and decided not to focus on the obvious. tftc
After spending the night in town and dining out at the local pub it was time to get out and do colorectal the local area. I am working on a local challenge at home that requires cache numbers in Local government areas and so I need another 80 or so in the Gympie area. This area is rich with caches so off I go. Arriving at ground zero I found a safe place to park the geowagon and off I go. I quickly found ground zero and located the cache. After extracting the log and making my mark I quickly returned to the geo wagon in search of my next adventure.A big thanks to the cache owner for making this cache available to be found.Cheers
Got it, difficult find because of the overgrown grass. Cache was full of water. We put in some new paper and a plastic bag. TFTC
Time to get back down to business, hit the road & rack up some more smilies to spread warmth & happiness throughout the land.
Knocking up the numbers doesn't hurt either!
Kilkivan & surrounds were our target areas this run.
#24 of 45 smilies today.
Followed the rather obvious geotrail to GZ for a quick find.
Looks a lot like a snake's hidey hole to me? [?]
Made our mark & replaced as found.

Hi there PB1973.
We found your cache **"Old Rail Bridge"** today. (This makes our find count 25696).
Another hot day wading through chest high grass and getting covered in burrs, cobblers pegs and spider webs. [xx(][:(!]
Our tally today was 23 caches & 1 DNF's.
**Coordinate Accuracy:** We found your cache within a few metres of where our GPS said we should be looking.
**Cache Condition:** The cache was soaked, we spent some time drying it out, but it still needs some "Owner TLC".
**Took:** Nothing
**Left:** Either a smiley badge or a gold coin
Thank you for adding to our adventure.
Regards
Ian & Penny

Visiting the area for a few days and took time out to grab a few caches and this was one of them. Good coords and most caches were found easily enough and once the log was signed all was returned as found.

After an early morning sunrise event it was a drive up to Kilkivan for a weekend event. This is my first event of this type so I am not sure what to expect but I’ve been told they are fun and educational, ok. Today’s kick off was 10am so this gave me a few hours to drive up and get a little caching in before the event started for me.
At the event I teamed up with Willis007 and Ms maddy (who drove) to spend the afternoon collecting a few caches and a few first to finds. Armed with a list and some new coordinates we set off for the afternoon of caching. We had a plan of attack in mind and it turned out to be a good afternoon of caching with a variety of cache sizes, hides and ratings; thank you to the CO’s for the placements of these. Sorry for the generic post for this lot but we did approximately 90 caches around the area.
There were no DNF’s and all caches were found in good order and in close proximity to the given coordinates and or hints. I enjoyed today's caching, thank you.

In Kilkivan for the New Year event, a great opportunity to catch up with caching buddies and meet some new faces.
After setting up at the showgrounds CHAMAD and myself jumped into Ms Maddy's super comfy car and headed out to find some newly published caches along with some tried and true oldies.
A great day spent out and about, enjoying the beautiful country side.
This was a tricky hide and took a bit longer to find. Log signed and all replaced as found.
Thanks PB1973 for the cache.

Spending the day at Kilkivan for a day of caching, love the quiet country roads as they are perfect for doing a cycling hunt . Area just received rain and we found log container had floated out of its hide, put where we thought it may have come from. TFTC PB1973
Stay two nights in Kilkivan with beautiful weather and grabbing some smile.TFTC
We are on a short trip only with our caravan. We love this area, and are happy that the sun is back.
Found this one. Thanks for the caches for us to enjoy.
The logbook was in parts and wet. We put all in a plastic bag, and added a new logsheet in a separate plastic bag.

Alas we found this one out in the open. The lid was not on properly and container full of water. We placed a new log sheet in a cliplock bag and put the container in an appropriate place. TFTC
Logging old caches originally found with alphag_25. Now have my own account and logging them separately so that I can claim the finds.
I found your cache with my Dad, Oddiewan and most of the time, Semik. I am way behind on logging so learned how to use templates so I can catch up. Sorry this is not a detailed log, but I will do better with my logging now that I have the ability to log caches on a mobile phone. Thanks for the cache PB1973
I found this cache on my Xmas 2019 trip to Queensland however it didn't log automatically from my GPS when I synced it so I am logging it this way.
Thanks for a great caching experiance.
Logged as "Moneydork" before I changed to my new geocaching name "Triggerfish".

Geocaching with my main squeeze, Oddiewan, my best friend, Moneydork and Oddiewan's sons BitternA4 and occassionally Flash_Cat (he bowed out about halfway, but I didn't mark where we took him back to camp) Oddiewan was on a mission and achieved his 400th and 500th finds on this caching trip. I was happy just to see his excitement of reaching his next milestone.
Catching up on some logging for the last day of the year while hunting for caches out of the Kilkivan area with ilook4geo. This was one of the caches we found on a day that started out with fine misty rain. That soon cleared up and the hunt went on. All logs were found to be in good condition, as were the containers. Thanks go to PB1973 for this cache placement.
Today started out a bit cooler, so it was cache hunting time again with goingplaces2. Found a good selection around Kilkivan to add lots more smileys to the map. Log was signed, job done! TFTC.
2019-2020 New Years catch up.

Caching buddies for this trip are Semik, Money Dork, Flashcat and BitternA4.

Visiting Kilkivan for the annual Cache-up event. Sweet-Sour kindly offered to chauffeur me around for the day. Who was I to refuse? My caching buddy had previously found this cache, sso I set off to find it on my own while he re-positioned the goevehicle. The cache was quickly located and the log signed. TFTC
A great opportunity to cache around Kilkivan. A selection of hides kept things interesting. Thanks to PB1973 for hiding this cache and adding to our enjoyment of the area.

This year I will be caching with my Geoson, Grannysmith1947 and can’t forget The Geodog Miss Millie.
Sorry for the generic post.
Cache a day to keep the doctor away, or is it to keep me sane. No it’s to keep my streak alive. TFTC PB1973 *388* streak. *2298* Finds

The container was a little difficult to open, maybe due to the heat (it was hot today) lid was real tight. Thanks PB1973 for placing a cache here for our, and others enjoyment.

A big day out around the Kilkivan area has been on the cards for a while to tidy up many of the smilies left behind after the last catch-up.
Co-ords were excellent and containers generally in great shape, making for a good day of searching. Just needed to look out for the occasional stubborn bovine . Looking forward to the next catch-up event.

Log signed at 11:50 and cache returned as found. Thanks for the smilie and bringing us here **PB1973**. This log is trackable, mention where you saw it.

A return visit to Kilkivan to add some more smilies to our tally. Parked up and a quick find all nice and dry. TFTC PB1973
Good to find a "harmless geocache" - all good with this one, dry as a bone inside.
Did a great circuit today, leaving Kilkivan on the Running Creek Road we headed to Woolooga then returned to Kilkivan through Oakview. We found all of the 41 caches that we looked for. All were in good condition and accurate coordinates made for quick finds.

TFTC. Day 3 of our caching trip away from our Bundaberg housesit. We shifted camp from Goomeri to Kilkivan where we are camped at Weir Oval. The route today was to go out on Muldo Road and then stop and relax, but that never happened we kept going . Had a great day 43 attempted and found. Thanks to the COs for helping us to enjoy the area. All caches were relatively quick finds.
Found while staying in the kilkivan area for about a week before heading for the big smoke down south. Having noticed that there was a lot of new caches placed in the area I set about converting some of them to smileys. This is of of the many I have found so far. All were easy find with no maintenance issues. TFTC
Day two of our geocaching trip around Kilkivan. Loving the country drives. All caches were mostly quick find thanks.
Whilst at the Kilkivan the opportunity was there to find 14 new hides. I also hid 18 for the event. I love driving in country areas and especially on country roads be they dirt or gravel. Come to QOGM 2019 in Blackall on the first weekend in October if you would like to drive on country remote roads. Arrived close to GZ and after a short walk soon had the cache in hand. All good here. We finally caught up with Green Team2 who had grabbed all the ftf's up to this one, so we managed a 2TF if that's worth anything
