A nice find this morning walking through the wetlands. Thanks for the cache sbrundan
I was back in the area again today but this time to take my niece to the movies and out for dinner.I stopped by this cool area and wandered along the trail to GZ. This would be a cool spot for a summer picnic event. It didnt take long to spot the cache and sign the log.A big thanks goes to sbrundan for taking the time to add SHOULDA PUT A RING ON IT to the geocaching map for us all to find and enjoy.----------------------------------------------------------Are you ready for Victorias next big event?Join us for Victorias first ever *Block Party* to celebrate 25 years of geocaching.**When:** March 22 - 23, 2025**Where:** Hume Global Learning Centre, SunburyLog your will attend at [**GCAP417: The Sunbury Event** ](https://coord.info/GCAP417) Visit our [**Block Party website** ](https://geocachingvictoria.com.au/the-sunbury-event) for more details on the exciting lineup of events and activities as they are released!
Not exactly the greatest day to be out caching... but at least it was dry and not too windy. I had come out to keep working on **WCW - Cache Local Mighty Challenge**... that's 200 Finds in the Whittlesea LGA. For this cache I parked at the end of Clearwater View and wandered in by the obvious circuitous route. The cache itself as an easy find. Thanks **sbrundan** for putting this cache here.
I found this cache today on my Mega Geocaching Walk #6 - A 35,000 step walk from Hawkstowe Station throughout South Morang and finishing at Middle Gorge Station. The extra walking in and out of here took its toll. This was the second cache that we have found here after locating a cache called "The Middle" just nearby in 2007. Thanks from D B-A

I couldn’t stop singing this whilst walking to the cache Lovely area and lots of bird life around today. Great hide TFTC
Apparently these lakes were made in the early 2000s. Before then it was paddocks
*Found on the 10 Jan 2023 @ 3:36 pm.*
*Cache find # 13983.*
I was needing a few more finds in the Whittlesea LGA to try and qualify For one of the Mega challenges so I decided to head back over this way and go for a ride along some of the trails.
I stopped by this one on my travels and was able to find it, the log was signed and I was on my way to the next one.
**Thanks to sbrundan for placing this cache.**

I'm at these lakes with a Birdlife Melbourne Photographic Group and took a few minutes to search for this cache. A quick find at a very quiet GZ. Now back to the birds. Thanks to sbrunden for the cache.
I have replaced the cache today, please ensure it will well hidden from muggle eyes
Looks like this may have blown away in the great hurricane of 2021, I will check and replace soon
Geo daughter found this and was very impressed. Such a beautiful day so many muggles which made it hard. Log book was was quite damp. Hopefully pages won't clump together once dry.
Catching up on some late logging from last week.
All good here after a short walk to GZ. Really liked this area. Thanks sbrundan

Found one in this area some time back but didn’t find the time to grab this one. Glad we did. TFTC
Although I travel up and down Plenty Rd frequently I have never visited this area and now I understand why it is called The Lakes.
There were a few fishermen around. Do they really catch fish or is it just a social outing? There were many birds and so I spent some time watching them while I walked around the paths. At GZ I found the well hidden cache and ensured that it was well hidden before I left.
I also came here to find the last "Wonders of the World" stamp that I needed to complete the "Wonders of the World" souvenir.
Thank you sbrundan for this cache.

I have never worn rings as I don’t like the feel of them. I did like the feel of this cache when I found it. I am surprised how pretty it is here. So much wildlife.
Nice walk around the lake. Surprised to see pelicans here.
Quick easy find. Unfortunately no ring to swap.
Thanks for bringing me here.

Out for a day's caching in the Mill Park - South Morang area. I found over 20, mainly on my bike - it is a great area for cycling. Thanks sbrundan
Passing by and thought I’d check on my first and favourite cache!
It’s happy and dry in it’s new spot.
The walk to it was super slippery from all the rain and mud. I swear there’s more ducks than usual too!

New cache replaced as the other one was damaged, please be gentle with it and replace it exactly as you find it, thanks
Off road on the bike and eventually I found the correct track in to this little fingre of land jutting out into the lake. I love the ring collection and theme! Well done....there is a small hole in the lid of the cache container which has let in ants and a lot of water. The log was saturated and too soggy to write on...so I have recorded my visit with a ring of beads TFTC

After the inclement weather we've had this week, I needed to do something, so wandered out to the outer burbs for a walk. A dozen or so smileys (including a couple of former DNFs) later, I'd covered about the same number of kilometres and enjoyed some of the paths of South Morang.
With my starting point just north of the lakes here, I took the winding, slightly muddy (not surprising with the rain we've had) track, waving hi to the fisherman who'd set himself up with a couple of lines and a six pack to enjoy his afternoon.
The cache was a nice quick find, and I was off on today's adventure... after a snapshot of the pelicans on their perches.
Thanks, sbrundan.

t was great to get out into the outer suburbs and find a pile of nice trads this morning.
It has been a while since I have been up here and after rain the parks looked green and lush.
Thank you sbrundan for your hides. They were great.
It took me a while to find the way into here amongst all these lakes

Suscoe headed to Melbourne today in the great company of Bushfire.
We had decided to target some caches along the Plenty Road area and we enjoyed travelling around the Mernda, South Morang suburbs as well as part of Bundorra.
It was a delightful day with plenty of sunshine and a mild breeze for most of the day. It did get quite warm during the afternoon as the cool breeze seemed to disappear.
We had a terrific day and thanks goes to all the cache owners for showing us this area.
Thanks to sbrundan for this hide, we enjoyed thinking about all the things that we could put a ring on, but in the end we left with a find and nothing else.
Thanks for placing the caches that we have found today, we appreciated the tour of the wonderful Gum trees of this area. Glad that the developments left these in place.

After claiming a very high D/T challenge cache in the You Yangs yesterday, only a two km walk but the walk there and back was the easy part, but the climb ,thorns and huge rocks proved a huge challenge for the ageing Bushfire who had done the same walk two years ago on his own but two years means a lot when your over eighty, but I made it, so today these caches were very easy but I am still feeling the effects of yesterday.
My very special caching partners, the suscoe’s invited me to tag along for a visit to this area which I have never visited before even though I have been caching since 2005.
I could not get over the number of great old Red Gums that seem to have been reserved with their own little bit of space and the number of old fallen huge old logs that have been given their own space as well.
On my day in this area I logged as I went with FLL, which simply means that I will follow up with a decent log ASAP. I had a please explain from sbrundan as to what it meant so now you know what it means and here is my full log as I said I would place tonight or as soon as possible.
Special thanks to all the cache owners whose caches that we have found today as without you guys placing caches we would be back in the early 2000’s when if you found two or three caches you had a good day and travelled many km to get them, oh so different today.
Thanks sbrundan again for placing this cache for us too find. Nice assortment of swaps in this cache but had none with me today so nothing in and nothing out but thanks for the placement.

A quick and easy find in the very nice wetlands here this afternoon.
Took nothing, left nothing.

This has gone missing since I replaced it two weeks ago, it’s obviously the same person, very disappointing ️
I will be replacing this in a couple of weeks and moving it to a new location and updating the coordinates, stay tuned.

Ok I’ve replaced the cache, It’s still in the same place and well hidden this time. Please replace it carefully in its hiding spot, thanks.
I went to check on this one today as it came up as a DNF, unfortunately I think it’s walked away. I’m going to try and reply it ASAP, hopefully it turns up
Found by PR&F on 20/10/19 @ 2.40pm. Find #6 of #6 for an afternoon adventure after continual request from the geokid. An easy find despite the muggle fishing nearby!

My little sister and I had so much finding this as this was our first one . She got so excited when she found the box !
Tracked through a fair bit of mud to get to this cache. Love the theme. Unfortunately I didn't have a ring to make a swap. TNLN. TFTC

Rain? Will it or won't it?
Travelling home from work, I dropped in here for my cache for the day streak maintenance.
A nice spot for a walk but I wish it were a little warmer, that wind is cold and it's whistling through but not enough to hamper a quick find.
**Thanks for placing this cache sbrundan**

Was out in the open not covered so made sure it was covered up a bit! Very very cool cache! I love the themed ones. Thanks for setting this up.
Out for a walk with my wife today to start my Geocaching Streak. An easy find on the way past several people fishing in the lake. TFTC. A fantastic spot to walk.
My first find! I walk my dogs here all the time but this was our first geocache walk ️ hope you like our ring addition
Out with xambo4u, it was a cold wet day with a little hail thrown in, but that didn’t stop us caching. A very successful day in Morang despite the weather.
We walked, slipped and slid our way to the cache (very sticky mud). Once there, I had no ring to trade, then back past the kangaroo paw prints in the mud. Thanks sbrundan

Out and about with echidna44 on this very bitter cold run to the North. It even gently hailed or was it snow. I have not been to this high up before and very impressed with the area but not particularly this part. Very sticky mud here, came out 1 inch taller. No spare rings to trade today. Thanks for the cache sbrundan
Quick find in a good location, walk in muddy after the rain we had, but well worth
the effort.
Thanks sbrundan.
the effort.
Thanks sbrundan.
Out and about with Trailstevo in a new area for us, plenty to find and hopefully enough to see us through the mystery at the museum. Thanks for the little adventure.
THIS IS MY FIRST FIND EVER!!! It was so cool! I put it back exactly where I found it
Nice walk around the lake today had a friend come to visor me as well thanks for the cache it’s apart of the mystery museum
My very first geocache find with a store of pretty items.....the first of many I am sure. Beware of the ducks! And Eurasian coots....
Thank you sbrunan for you cache, a great area I ridden past many times going north. A couple of fisherman on the far bank but nobody around this side of the lakes. Fantastic amount of swag in the cache, left a few coins for something different.

Riding bikes, looking for caches with 2 boys .... large muddy puddle on the way to this cache .... much deeper than they expected! Wet shoes, muddy boys, looks like I'm washing when we get home. Lovely spot!
What an absolutely awesome spot this is and virtually muggle free except for the lawnmower man going about his business. I didn’t have a ring with me today but there are plenty in there. Thanks for this great geocache
