Logs
Paper too wet to get out - attempted to but I was just ripping it - attached a photo for proof!
found with WinnieTwo for the hint the two boys counted the car parks and started searching through the bushes there. I went towards the navigation and saw something out of place, well believe it or not it was the cache! it was quite creative even though it did not have many favourites tftc!
It's a long weekend in NZ, due to someone having a fake birthday. I care not one iota for that, but will happily take a paid day off work to go geocaching Having spent the last couple of days in Palmy, the plan for today was to head back to Wellington using the scenic route (IE through the Wairarapa) in order for me to target as many of the new Apple geoart as I could get, and as many others as I would need to achieve finding 50+ for the day, to help me with my qualifying for the DGSc Challenge. So having stopped for a bit in Pahiatua, I was now in Masterton to see what I could find, as whilst I've been through here a few times as a cacher, I've never really given it a concerted effort before. This would be my first stop on the outskirts of Masterton. I spotted the likely cache almost immediately but a muggle was nearby so I made use of the nearby facilitioes before coming back to find the cache. A nice blank logsheet! I had to double check that I hadn't just got an accidental FTF lol! No issues to report here at all and everything was soon replaced as found before heading off to the next one. Thanks for setting this one up.
Sadly, not the FTF of the replacement. Out caching with Devynthomas. Not a quick find. TFTC.
This one had gone, due to some aggressive gardening on site. New cache in place.
It's December, and to help me achieve one of my Geocaching goals I need to log 300+ caches this month, which means an average of ten a day. I started off well, but had a glitch in the middle which has left me behind on my target. As I leave home on a road trip to Hawkes Bay to see a band play, and then return to Wellington to see the same band play again for New Years Eve, I have only 108 left to find to meet my target. I have a list of caches to look for, and this was one of them. Found without any issues l, other than looking suspicious. The log paper is running out of life. --- Thanks to KiwiDragonfly for placing and maintaining this cache. I enjoy each and every cache I find, and it is only with Geocachers like this creating them and placing them out in the world that this wonderful game continues. [DGSc-Bulk] tagging to help me generate a list for GC30AD8 - DGSc Challenge
Performed maintenance on this one and replaced the cache some time ago. Logging now to update the cache status.
Nice easy find. TFTC. My lab seemed to know where to look before me! Signed BP. Log needs replacing. Bit of a mess tbh.
Found it... Paper quite damp but algood still..
Way less boring now if you want to find out whats left behind

We were a bit concerned about the DNF on this one and wondered if the cache was still here but soon enough Mr Geckoh was calling that he had found it. No muggles around at this time of the morning. TFTC

Found. May need waterproofing. Log was wet and I didn't didn't any zip locks to put it in
With (Mr) Davidson Clan and Gap (of Fap and Gap)… On a boy’s weekend roadtrip south. We have arrived at our new base camp for the night - Hello Masterton!
No sign of an attachment or a potato here tonight…

Out for a drive in the sunshine. Why not find a couple of caches. Nice hide. Easy find.
Some interesting information about the station, especially the potato story, and a quick easy find. TFTC
This seemed like the most likely spot, but still needed to investigate further before I found this nice hide, TFTC
First find for a very long time, exactly where I expected it to be. Having relocated out of Wellington it was almost literally on my doorstep so it seemed rude not to.
(# 6885) Day trip over the hill for a touch of caching. Even better that it is a pleasantly fine day. A quick find. Thanks for bringing me here.
As I arrived in Masterton by train for a day of caching in the nice weather this was first on the agenda.
A quick easy find, no flying spuds today, just had to dodge being seen by the people getting into cars after disembarking from the train, most of them observing the Wairarapa tradition of returning from the big smoke to spend the weekend with the family.
All good with the cache.
TFTC.

We are very much enjoying our new Level 2 freedom and today was a fairly fine spring day so ideal for a geocaching trip to Masterton - mainly to concentrate on an AdLab and get to the top of the peak for this month's challenge.
If there were caches anywhere near these locations we stopped there too.
We really enjoyed the name of this cache and the story of the flying potatoes. The cache itself was a quick, straightforward find. TFTC

24 July 2021 15:15. Tftc found whilst out and about with GSEL and Ethness. Number 10006
Out and about with Infoferret and GSEL putting on caches that have been green for too long. A quick find on a sunny day. TFTC.
Caching trip with MomsOB on a gorgeous sunny day. After upsetting MomsOB at the last cache by finding it first when it was her turn (oops) I let her find this one all on her own (how nice I am ). A quick find and we were on our way again.
More interesting history. Train was sitting at the station so I was able to check out where the bikes are stowed (for a future journey) and then make a bee-line for the cache. Too early for passengers still, so no problem making the dash, grab and log. TFTC. Now on to look for a few more archived Skindo puzzle caches.
A remarkably rapid find. I was expecting quite a hunt as the coordinates bounced around as I hopped out of the car. Fortunately I parked surprisingly close. TFTC
spacenarwhale and I were in town to attend a funeral and decided that picking up a few caches afterwards would be a nice pick-me-up. This was the first we attempted and we made a relatively quick find, still in our funeral clothes.
Thank you for the cache.
Thank you for the cache.
We were fortunate enough to get a perk right at GZ, so it was a quick jump out of the car and grab - made easier by the fact the cache was on the ground.
I replaced it higher up - hopefully it will stay there!
Thanks for putting this cache here for us to find

I'd been flitting around Masterton for a couple of hours, finding caches and enjoying myself while the wife and daughter were shopping. Then after having an unexpected lunchtime meet-up with the ladies I'd managed to find another cache in town that had been a DNF for me on a previous visit and had a little time for another. The lunchtime pie was weighing heavily on me and I decided that I'd leave the car parked outside the i-Site and head off for one more on foot. I'd never before visited the Railway Station, and it was only about a 1 km walk, so off I headed.
By this time it had started to warm up a little, the drizzly rain was over and the sun peeped through the clouds, so I got a little warm. As I got close to the station I spotted what I guessed would be a likely place to hide a cache and wasn't surprised when the pointer on the Garmin swung to point straight at it. Conveniently there was no car in the parking space next to GZ and I reached round and felt the cache without even needing to look for it.
Now given the cache name I would have been pleased to discover the cache was in the shape of a potato (perhaps even one with wings?), but obviously it wasn't going to be, as then it would surely have lots of Favourite Points. However, I do like to read all the historical cache descriptions that COs write after doing the necessary research, and the cache name is clearly relevant given one of those historical snippets. Thanks KiwiDragonfly for placing the cache and doing the research, who'd have thought such a thing would happen. It would have been amusing to see (though I don't suppose the poor Chinaman would have appreciated an audience).

Found with little blue hen. Great story. Had to meet the train but had time to nab it. Tftcsl
Found with bkj97 on our way to Castle point for a weekend break. T4tcsl Favourite added for the interesting history.
