Needing a quick find for today, I decided to swing by this one in the Lyneham direction.I'd been routed past here before (and was quite taken aback by the sudden presence and scale of the thing on my first drive-by) but hadn't quite twigged to the fact that caches may also be present.I took a convenient park along this suburban street that felt like it had some life in it, although there was thankfully no one in the vicinity to witness my antics.I had my suspicions as to where this one might be, and a check with the phone camera confirmed them.Felt a bit suspicious with my retrieval methods, but hopefully the landowners are cool with it?Thanks to The Farmers 5 for placing this trad!
This was an unexpected find and well worth the stop for a look.It was a very cold this morning when we woke. The water in the hose to our van had frozen, but fortunately we had near full tanks, so no drama. It took quite some time for the fog to clear and it didn't really warm up a lot, so we headed out first to focus on Labs so we could retreat to the warmth of the car often. The sun came out around lunch time so we headed off to do some sightseeing round Lake Burley Griffin caching as we went. Canberra is a beautiful city. We love the way the sprawl is spread with lots of green space so it seems you are still in the country. The lake with its parks was beautiful in the sun. We managed to find a variety of caches and had an enjoyable day.Thank you for your efforts in creating and maintaining the cache The Farmers 5.**SKI Pair****
Nice to be back in Canberra after moving away a few years back, was new to caching back than with no caching friends in Canberra so didnt get many finds while here. Everytime I come back to visit the family I try to get some more but when it was announced this year's MEGA would be in Canberra I was super excited. After attending the closing ceremony I made the call that we (me and bellahappychappy) had to spend the last night doing some caches i wouldn't usually try alone on my own. Grabbed a late night feed over north side than had a look to see what else we could try before calling it a night.I drove past here earlier today when in a convoy doing tree climbs so couldn't stop (there was also a monk blowing leaves out the front anyway) so decided to come back to do this under the cover of darkness. My spider senses took me straight to where it was but I didn't go to the top floor. Than I thought about where the top floor could be and we were soon signing cache. Tftc!
7th of 11 found today.Very glad to have dimensions that made this a fairly easy retrieval. Nobody around at this time of the morning so all good. The cache is in good condition.TFTC The Farmers 5 and the ray.
Found on a typical Autumn day. In the area for the Mega and a few more caches of course. Not many muggles around and another good find . Thanks for the cache The Farmers 5, ***Roostaman***

My daughter and I left Brisbane on Wednesday night, and made it to Canberra after lunch yesterday after a stop to see her brother in Sydney on Thursday noghtIn town to enjoy a few days of the Canberra Mega before heading to Melbourne for a family birthday party. After our first night in our accom I was up early while she caught up on sleep and picked up a few early morning caches Found a safe place to park and was soon at ground zero where the cache was quickly located. Log book signed ( needs a new one by the way )and back to the car and off on the next challenge.A big thanks to the cache owner for making this cache available to be found.
Did this one at night after a big day of caching. Had to use my mobile phone torch but soon had the cache in hand. Good hint. TFTC
Canberra Mega time, day one.Spent the morning doing Gadget caches and AdLabs around the Mega site.Spent the afternoon with Day1976 and TG4TheWin collecting odd caches around the area. There seems to be a few temples in this street. Very interesting to look at.Nice hiding spot. Thanks, Robmc.
Cockburn Crew on tour to the Canberra Mega. Day 1 involved a bunch of caching around Sydney before making our way to Canberra for the Capital Geobash. We found a huge variety of caches, and its great to cache in new territory that we havent explored much in the past. Unlike our home state of Western Australia where we have found just about anything and everything.A beautiful day with great weather and even better company. Thank you to the local COs for a great day in and around this great country of ours.
Out and about again, headed over to Sydney early in the morning, grabbed a hire car and got some local hides before driving to Canberra for the MEGA. Super excited my first MEGA and heading over with 2 others from the Cockburn Crew - signed log as WAC to save time. This is 14141, hoping to clock over the 15,000 finds in the week in New South Wales and ACT.Thanks to The Farmers 5 for the caches we found.********** ********** ********** ********** ********** **********OZMEGA2024 OZMEGA2024 OZMEGA2024 OZMEGA2024 OZMEGA2024 OZMEGA2024********** ********** ********** ********** ********** **********Head over to Australian Capital Territory for Capital GeoBash MEGA - Canberras first ever Mega Event. First and only full day at the Mega in Canberra. Unfortunately work stopped me from staying longer. Great weather for caching today and all caches found with no problem, thanks to all the Canberra cache owners for placing them.TFTC Wilbert67
There was only one place this cache could be and there it was.The trip bit.Easter geocaching festival of twenty twenty four. This time it is the turn of Oz Mega GeoBash MEGA event in the nation's capital. It is time for a road trip across country to Canberra in the Sporty Pajero Sports. Freddo and Gridge98 traveling from Adelaide via a strange inland route that takes in scenic rural locations, dusty roads, punctured tyres, overheating batteries, various tools of the trade, special campgrounds, and lots scope for many many geocaching finds. Along the way we saw running emus, jumping kangaroos, wandering deer, dead foxes, herds of wooly sheep and stray steers.Arriving in Canberra we met our colleagues e.gregory1, featherwaite, team walron, courtney rose, davidwazza, e_smilie, and georode, signing as ABP, plus a huge group of other like minded excited mega geocachers attending event after event, and more events.Day one. Adelaide to Broken HillDay two. Broken Hill to WellingtonDay three. Wellington to CowraDay four. Cowra to BathurstDay five. Bathurst to CanberraDay six. Canberra to CanberraDay seven. Canberra to QueenbeeyanDay eight. Canberra to AdelaideThe generic bit.I will apologize right now, because everything from here on is here solely for the purpose of padding the word count and winning that one hundred word diamond badge again. Somebody moved the goal posts. So many caches to find. So many caches to log. We find them, sign them and replace them. This particular geocache was found using one of the following GPS enabled devices, Garmin GPSr, Montana 680t, Oregon 650 or Dakota 20 and an Apple iPhone 11 using the marvelous Cachly app. Waypoints and paperless geocaching were downloaded via GSAK 9. Log prepared, checked and submitted using GSAK publish logs macro.Warning, this hobby can be addictive. It can lead to exercise, meeting new people and finding interesting places you might not have known existed otherwise. Beware: you may have fun. Apologies for the generic part of the cache log. We do apologise for the generic logs. Thanks to all the cache owner for placing this cache here for our enjoyment. Thanks for the cache. Merci la cache. Danke fr den Cache. Gracias por el cach. Found on our journey over the week here. This weekend was mega weekend and we headed over with Courtneyrose_ Freddo, Team Waldron, e.gregory1, Davidwazza and Featherwaite as part of our team called: ABP (Alphabet People), the log books were either signed with the name, ABP or our individual caching names.A great weekend away in the capital and a very well organised mega, it was nice to be back in the ACT caching once again over easter with great weather. Thanks for the cache
Found on a visit from Adelaide to Canberra to attend the Capital GeoBash Mega event over Easter.Today I teamed up with FeatherWaite, Team Waldron, gridge98, CourtneyRose and Davidwazza. Logs were signed ABP to save time and space on the logsheets. It was a productive day, focusing mainly on caches of interest, with a variety of cache types. The weather was fine and quite warm, in contrast to some of the other times Ive been in Canberra over Easter. Thanks The Farmers 5 for the cache.
It was during the Mega weekend. This was found and marked as DG Thanks, The Farmers 5 for placing it.
Found during the Mega event in Canberra over the Easter long weekend. Our team comprised courtneyrose_, Davidwazza, e.gregory1, Featherwaite, Freddo, gridge98 and Team Waldron, signing the logs as ABP to save time and space in the logbooks , or with our individual caching names. Enjoyed a great weekend away finding a rewarding range of cache types, d/t combinations, cache hides and retrievals. Thanks for the cache The Farmers 5!
Find # 10917Nice quick find. Yes, in the top floor! We've travelled to Canberra for the Capital GeoBash Mega event this Easter long weekend. We have parked our van at Capital Country Holiday Park for the next few nights and are looking forward to catching up with our old caching friends and meeting new friends.TFTC The Farmers 5 ??28 March 2024 14:55
I like coming up Archibald st when Im in Canberra to see the progress in this temple.TFTC
Found after attending the nearby event. Thanks for the hide. My favourite find of the day!
We are at Canberra and seeing so many geocachers every where we go. We have had a mixed bag of DNF's, Finds together with we have no idea if the cache is missing or if it is in place hiding in the foliage of the trees, Our haul of geocachers have included basic 1 T x 1 D up to 4.5 in both difficulity and terrain. All in all we have had a fantastic day. SL TFTC
Something special or unusual goes here:A quick find for Anymules this time. The Generic Bit:The Capital Geobash Adventure 2024. Day 5: Cruising Canberra Today myself, Anymules and Muff1 set out to try and find a few caches. A lot of puzzles were solved over many months preparing for this trip so we wanted to grab a few of those. So we cruised around just following our noses and finding caches. Today it was a real case of all those that wander are not lost. ***Thanks The Farmers 5 for putting out this cache and maintaining it for our enjoyment. *** Logs prepared and published through GSAK.
I found your D2.5/T1.5 Small Traditional called The Temple on 27 March 2024. It was find #18914 for me. Thank you The Farmers 5 for placing this cache for our enjoyment in the wonderful state of Australian Capital Territory.
Second one along this road.Had an idea of where it was so used the camera for confirmation.Signed and replaced TFTC Farmers5
Today, all seemed to be quiet at the temple, and with a good hint, we found this one fairly quickly.Peering over the fence, it is quite beautiful inside. The buildings are colourful, and the architecture is incredibly ornate. It was great to stop by and have a look at a place that we normally speed past in the car. Thanks The Farmers 5Domsky
Weve been meaning to hunt for this one for quite a while as its pretty close to home and on our daily commute. Decided to clean up a few close to home caches, and this was on the list for today. Thanks for the cache.
Did not find. Found some wire with nothing on it. Not sure if that was the cache.
Always good to knock off a previous DNF..given the updated hint and last couple of logs, I used the same technique with the phone camera and there was the cache. Easy!
I went to Wollongong and back today, but didn't have time to pick up a cache.
This one was nearby and gettable, so I went for it. My phone camera confirmed I was looking in the right spot of the temple that seemed bigger on the inside than it did from the outside. Very deceptive!
Thanks for the cache.

First place I looked, made sure that the resident possum was out before made my move.
Thank you for hiding them

Out on a run through the area around here to cross a few more caches off the local area before leaving at the end of the month. Had a bit of leg up here as a previous finder was me, but it was an area I would have used myself, so no big deal. Log signed and off to the next one down the street.
Thanks for another one Farmers 5....

Quick find at location cause I don't think it was in the best location. Imagine my surprise when something began to move as I put it back. Sorry to wake you little possum. Tftc
2nd attempt and can’t believe I missed it last time and I must have looked for 30 mins
#924 Turtle had previously searched here and had come up short, potentially due to the potential traffic of the area. Today he returned and in numbers too with most of the Beta Squad present. Coordinates originally dropped us in nearby and had us searching for a short while before expanding our search radius. Soon after pantspeople had found the cache and attended to the signing duties, another enjoyable hide in a interesting location. Thanks Farmers 5
#2804 As per runner5ive log, this cache and strip of land have been rather problematic re finds. Extra eyes have certainly helped with this hide today. Thank you TF5 for the cache and the Beta Squad for the combined effort in locating this one this afternoon.
A sneaky hide next to a very spectacular temple. Thanks for the adventure and discovery (both do the hide and the religious landmark) The Farmers 5. Another find as we strolled and chatted with DeadThief and Turtle284 (three quarters of the Beta Squad - injuryman had gone elsewhere by this point). Some nice spots to sit by GZ.

In the spirit of reconciliation we would like to acknowledge the Traditional Custodians of country on which we geocache throughout Australia and their connections to land, sea and community. We (the pants people) pay our respects to their Elders past and present and extend that respect to all Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples today.

This has been one of the most difficult caches for me to find, because this area is always so busy. I’ve had a lot of difficulties looking for the Archibald Street caches. And I have been here at times when you think it wouldn’t get busy, like really late the day or really early in the morning in the middle of winter. Which was today, my third or so attempt, after previous attempts were hindered by workers, or people in vans just sitting there in the parking bay.
Today I was walking a friend’s dog (dog sitting this weekend) and I go past really early, like 7am (I’ve been here earlier still on other days). I finally get the chance to have a good search and find it… but I have no pen. I continue walking the dog and come back with a pen but now there’s a person in a van, engine idling, and I think he’s eating something. Why would you waste petrol like that? I walk down the street and see the van go past, so I return and get the log signed just before pedestrians walk past in both directions.

Arrived between cigarette breaks for the nearby facility and enjoyed a quick find here. Thanks, Farmers 5!
After a really long find and jumpy co-ordinates we almost gave up on this.
Son found something on the ground probably in a spot that it's not meant to be as you leave public property but we are pretty certain that something else we found goes with the cache so we left it how we presume it originally was meant to be. Please message me if you need to to verify where we left it. Another interesting place to look at. TFTC 8

This was an easy find and the cache was in good condition. Plenty of room in the logbook too. Thanks for the cache and the adventure. I signed the cache DSD or Darksidedan or AB or Adventure Boys. Please enjoy the random selection of Geocaching Photos included with my Found It Log.
I had an inkling of where it was just had to look. Great hide and great location.
Onieferret and Nibletricecakes found this one fairly quickly. A great selection of caches in this street. TFTC.
Enroute to another cache this morning and drive by “no workers” finally!! I have past this one many times but always some local workers having a smoko. A quick search and the cache was soon in hand. TFTC
Nice little hiding spot. Picked a quiet time to look so able to retrieve and return unnoticeable. Tftc
Took A little work to track down where the cache was, once I knew where to look it was in hand in moments. TFTC
Thanks to a previous cachers specific wording, we gained the hint we needed to find this tricky hide!
Great spot!
Great spot!
Caching on my own tonight as the regular crew each had to pull out. Remarkably fast find on this one today. Got it done before the team of riders zipped past. Phew. Grateful for the nearby TOTT to help me out. Thanks for the sneaky little cache.
Found where I first looked but had thought that it wouldn’t be there for sure but desperate times call for desperate measures. This time climbed up with some help for a closer look. BINGO! Hmmmmm.....Grrrrrrr... Difficultly should be much higher for obvious reasons. TFTC The Farmers 5.
Today was the fourth time I visited this cache.
The first time someone had their extended lunch break under the trees sitting on the milk crates.
The second time I searched high and low and couldn't find it. (then couldn't find the one next door, nor the one around the corner and left very frustrated.)
The third time was yesterday night after I had a received a tip that meant I was only about 10 cm out from where I had searched before. I was in the vicinity and thought I'd scout it out in case I needed an easy go-to cache as a daily cache when I didn't have enough time.
Little did I know that today was that time. Had tried another one closer to home, but in a park with people who take their dogs on walks in dark (how dare they!).
Came over this way and managed to stay in the shadows for retrieval and replacement, though took the cache to the car to sign it in there with some light. (I didn't want to scribble over someone else accidentally.)
Thanks for the cache. It's an interesting building to have in Canberra. Still looks quite unfinished and other than the person having lunch, haven't seen anybody else around in my other visits.

Had a great day with Aquilus1 meandering around Canberra finishing multi's, grabbing new trads, even got a few FTFs along the way. The rain stayed away as well, bonus.
After doing our morning things that needed to be done we collected some caches and cleaned a few areas out along our journey Woden bound to visit the geo-mother.
This is a great temple but looks like it is having some work done to it.
Quick find at GZ and were on our way.
Thanks for the hide The Farmers 5

I took on the Archibald Avenue of Arduousness today - knowing that a nemesis cache, and two newer F5 caches were upon me
After Archiving some of my GCA caches further along, I walked down here to collect the three.
Like a previous cacher, there was someone smoking at GZ. Looks like the workers next door?
I walked down and got GC8KXKT first, then came back for this one. Fortunately no smokers
I thought a sensible GZ would be the first place I checked, but no dice. A bit of a feel and the cache revealed itself
TFTC F5!

I'm not having much luck today. Two people were sitting on milk crates smoking and staring into the distance as I approached GZ today. So I jumped back in the car and waited. 10mins later they were still there and I'd had enough. I'll have to come back for this one too. Thanks anyway.
A remarkably quick find for a Farmers 5 cache! I had the cache in hand within moments! I did however make up for it on the next cache which I made much harder than it was!
