This was a new location for me - I always enjoy an adventure. Beautiful drive in and lovely location. Super happy that I solved the puzzle with the pressure of an impatient geokid. nice dry swag so did some swapsies. Followed by an enjoyable walk. imagining Robyn on her horse.
Received a call from SimsFamily to join them for a drive to the Otway’s for a few hours.
Down a couple of back roads we arrived at GZ to squeeze and retrieve the cache. Then with a little grey matter the log was signed.
Log signed and replaced as found.
Thanks for the Traditional cache Robynonthego

AusFox; and I had journeyed down to the Otways on a hunt for a first to find at the California Redwoods and after driving so far for a cache we had to grab a few extras while we were in the area.
Our last stop on our way home after we took a few back roads to get to GZ. Once AusFox squeezed in to grab the container and then the brain needed to work a little to get access to the log. Thank you Robynonthego for the cache

At first we thought, this isn't a 2.5. And then we opened it! This was a lot of fun and I've always enjoyed puzzles. Wasn't long and we opened the beautiful container. Thanks for the cache!
Thanks for the extra puzzle, it was a little tricky, but we got there in the end
I decided to drive out here today after my shopping outing in Colac. I’d found all the caches around this one and it was time to turn it into a smilie. I was a bit worried that my little red car wouldn’t be able to make the trip but the roads are actually pretty good with only some muddy spots that weren’t any drama. On my way in I slowed down for a mob of kangaroos and sure enough there were plenty more of them around. After they’d settled I continued on my way in.
The start of the track into GZ was easy to spot with some roadwork equipment parked at the entrance. I wasn’t planning on driving down that road anyway and parked alongside the path which was a bit muddy but not enough to get bogged. I made my way to GZ dodging the huge puddle n the middle of the path and then following the distinct geotrail into the cache. There was really only one spot where I thought it could be and I was right!
That’s where my luck ran out. Or did it? It took me a bit to get the ammo can lid open but I got there in the end. I opened it to find a cute little cache container with a puzzle. As I was working it through unsuccessfully I felt something on my leg. There’s a prickle bush near GZ so I didn’t think much of it until I couldn’t stop thinking about it. Then I remembered! Leeches!!! OMG leeches!!!! I hesitantly put my hand on my leg and felt something inside my jeans that definitely didn’t feel right. It felt squishy. That’s when I just knew that it was a leech. To be fair, it was wet and I was warned but you know how you don’t really think about something until it’s actually happening? This was one of those moments. I grabbed it through my jeans and managed to get it off me. Luckily it decided to cling onto the inside of my jeans when I rolled them up and it was only half as big as it could have been! I flicked it off, got paranoid that there were more, jumped up and down and then decided to just stand on the log while I worked out the puzzle. Was it safer? I wasn’t sure but it seemed like a better idea!
After about 5 minutes I had the cache unlocked and went to grab my pen out of my bag. Except… it wasn’t there. Just one of those moments! Luckily there was a blue pencil in the cache which worked well so thank you! With the log signed by the sunlight that I’m sure had just appeared through the clouds and the trees for me, I put everything back in the container and hopped down off the wet slippery log to put it back. I was leech free. So my idea seemed to work.
This place is good for the soul, you’re right. It was quiet until I closed the lid on the ammo can. It made so much noise that it echoed! But, it’s in perfect condition and is definitely not wet. It’s also leech free. As was I, thankfully! TFTC

OMG!! Thank god I wasn’t the navigator today and was on driving duty. But on the other hand where the map took us was totally off route….wouldn’t of worried so much if I still had the bt50 but now have lil old Sophie…..who did an awesome job going through the big puddles and rough road. Finally got to where we needed to be then kenare had a moment about leeches and a mini freak out. We got what we needed and brought it out to the clearing and commenced to sort out what we needed. What a fluke? Or pure genius or just desperation after the hilarious way in and the antics that ensued…..either way what a rippa way to finish our caching adventure day trip…..this is how it should be…..F.U.N! Fave point from me
Oh dear!!!! I was navigator today and somehow the bloody map changed while we were on the road!! We were heading straight on the right road then all of the sudden we were on a different track. Imagine the shocking realisation we had when we realised we went through a teleporter!! Being the clever navigator I am we soon were heading toward the cache, just by a different way. Lil Sophie did a stellar job, under the guidance of Jenno3, to get us through. We stopped at the original track that should have got us there and we walked back to make the find. Thank you so much for the warning regarding leeches! We found the cache and bought it out to the cleared track. Hmmm.... I think we sorted out what we needed here reasonably quickly, or perhaps not!! lol. A fp from me, again, for the adventure of getting here, the laughs along the way, the field puzzle and for the fact that we worked it out!!! tftc
Somehow, as if by magic, we ended up on a different track than what we started on, even though the map we were on a straight line. Jenno3 was determined to get through and kenare was out checking puddle depth with a big stick, even though the leech warning was read aloud. Brave!! If we were in any of our other cars (mine included, lol) we could've got through no worries, but Sophie is a delicate lil darling and we were worried she would get hurt. But, we had faith. We went in and found the cache, but bought it out on to clearer ground to solve the puzzle element of it. Hmmmm we read and re-read and worked it out. Jenno3 thought we fluked it, but I reckon it was brain power that got us there. A fp from me because its always good to find something unexpected. tftc
Great puzzle, solved by writing on my hand! Glad my 2 wd car was able to get here too. Lovely quiet place. Tftc
Enjoyed the drive out here today and located the cache quite quickly. Worked through the field puzzle to extract the logbook and sign. Thanks Robynonthego, a favourite from me for the effort in putting this cache together.
Didn't expect this! Found the cache then came the process of elimination and formulation. Thanks for the extra brainwork! Beautiful place to spend time in though.
DAB and I planned a day down in the Colac region to pick up a few caches and get off the main roads through the Otways. We had a fun, short time out picking up the few select caches we wanted.
After a short drive on the dusty roads here and passing a few other 4WD's, we stopped to collect this cache. The container was located quickly, thankfully no snakes about today. The clue was read and after some thought, 3rd try on the lock proved successful.
**Our thanks to Robyn on the go for hiding this cache for us to find**

What better way to end the year, than a caching trip !! Headed down this neck of the woods, for a bit of 4 wheelin' and caching with Na'wal. Had a pleasant journey here and after a bit of brain work, we had access to the hide. Thanks for the cache, my last for the year. TFTC Robynonthego
Covid 19 has now reached Colac. I’m no longer prepared to maintain caches and best to Disable for now.
Due to The Coronavirus and my inability to maintain my caches, all will be disabled until the end of this crisis.
A cache and a puzzle as a bonus. Enjoyed the challenge, and achieved a smiley. Thnx and a fav point for the well thought out cache.
Well my last for the day.
Mild weather kept away any prey that may have been interested in me.
The cache I found quick enough.
Signed the log and moved on.

The good sized cache was found easily which surprised us due to the 2.5 D rating, it wasn't until we opened the container we realised we had a field puzzle to solve. We took it back to the car and worked some magic until we had accessed the logbook. Very nicely done.
Thanks Robynonthego for putting our 'minds' to the test, deserving of a favourite point for sure.

Called in to grab this cache on the scenic way home from the farm. After a couple of false starts, it started to fall into place. Awarding a fav point. TFTC Robynonthego
Very sneaky! Wasn’t expecting that. All good though. Cache and ...... all in good condition and working well. Thanks for the adventure. Lovely place to go horse riding.
Day in Colac with sassieold55, this took us time to get and we needed to get home and we had no impatient dog with us either.Tftc Robynonthego
Out and about with annabella02, this one had us pondering and fiddling and twiddling ! Tftc
Hoping to finish the Mystery at the Museum today as I had found most of these guys while up in Penrith. NSW.
On my return I only had four Jewels to find and these were located in Ballarat last w/e. I then went on to find another 25 so requires 10 finds today to reach the target of 35.
Headed off to Colac today hoping to finish this challenge but on returning home I discovered that I was one short. Bugger. Luckily, I have a new virtual that was recently published fairly close so tomorrow I will finally complete this challenge and then I can return the jewels.
Did not get close today as the GPS had it's own idea of getting here but after two unsuccessful attempts of going down two 4x4 tracks and some deep slippery rough tracks I decided to leave this guy until I had a look at some decent maps as the tracks that I tried before I sought an easier cache but I will return. The tracks that I tried were not for the faint hearted as I bottomed out a couple of times. It was fun but very wet and muddy.

We provided the caching gods with a giggle! The geo hound found it quickly but we ignored her to our determent. When we finally listened to her we took our time retrieving it as we knocked it down a hole. Finally with puzzle in hand we set about solving it. By this time the dog was so pissed of with us taking so long she complained to any one who would listen. I'm sure she was wondering how long it took two lumpys to log a cache! TFTC. We had a ball.
Suscoe decided to head down the highway to Colac this morning to gather some jewels of caches. We left in the dark and saw a wonderful moon setting in the west, large and slightly oval before it disappeared behind some clouds.
The drizzle started as we got near Colac and it hung around for a good bit of the morning.
With breakfast done we started wandering about finding caches here and there.
We were done by lunchtime and headed back to Waurn Ponds.
Thanks to Robynonthego for this hide, it was located after a bit of looking and then we enjoyed the process for logging.
Mrs. S soon had the puzzle resolved and the log was signed.
A favourite from us, this is a nicely crafted cache. Glad we made the trip out here today.
The local roads were a bit slippery in places after the rain/ drizzle/ dampness.

Our second FTF on this great day out in the Otways. Once again, a bit nervous that we'd be beaten, but by now, the die was cast.
The American muggle visitor was enjoying driving around the dirt roads in the forest as we made our way to this one.
A short hunt and we thought we had it...but there's more to this one than you'd think. Nice little puzzle that had us going for a while. Eventually things fell into place and there was a clean log !
We grabbed the FTF prize, which will be added to my list that travel with me. Left a couple of Juc surfers to add some swag.
Thanks for the cache Robynonthego and a fav for the puzzle and the cache itself.
