Found by Rebel Acts

Some good friends had decided to head to Ballarat for a few weeks so I decided I needed a break and joined them, we had a great time out caching as well as sharing stories and laughs around a meal or two. I really love the area of Ballarat there is so much history and I am sure it has the largest population of Oak trees in the Country.

This is one of the caches found today.

Some caches logged as RASP rebel acts &Ski pair.

Thanks Saint.Anthony for the cache.

With work encouraging us to take some holidays and Mr SKI having quite a few weeks up his sleeve it was time to take another short break and do some sightseeing and caching in parts of Victoria we seldom visit.
This time we decided it would be Ballarat. There is a wide variety of cache types and quite a number of Adventure Labs to do, so the area is quite attractive. And that doesn't include the historical and interest aspects as well.
We organized to meet up with some friends while there so we would have the opportunity to do some joint as well as solo caching.
We have already had some great adventures on a few challenging caches that generated a lot of fun and as usual always good to find some pre-solved puzzles.
All logs signed as SKI Pair, RASP (Rebel Acts & SKI Pair or SP depending on size of logs and availability of space.

Thank you for your efforts in creating and maintaining the cache Saint.Anthony.

Having a great time catching up with old friends at this morning's event we joined forces with micaparamedic and decided to do some less urban caching whilst waiting for this afternoon's event and we stopped at this one on our way out.

It was quite interesting reading the cache page as we had no idea we had no idea how many volcanoes were in the Ballarat Daylseford area and it made us look at Mount rowan with different eyes while searching for the container. Once it was found and the log book signed micaparamedic gave us a bit more of a lesson about this area before we headed off.

Thanks Saint Anthony for the cache and the geology lesson.

Find number 9921 at 3:26:14 pm on Sunday the 21 November 2021
Travelled up from Croydon to attend the two local events, finally catch with old friends and do some geocaching before heading back this afternoon. It was great to catch up with everyone and we look forward to much more in the future. Am I sick of lock downs? You bet ya!
Quick find today while weaving through the back roads on the way to the freeway.
**Thanks for placing this cache Saint.Anthony**

Lucky this was a nice and easy one to locate as my partner in crime spent all her time collecting grass for the 5 beautiful horses in the paddock. We aren't horse people but these horses looked well cared for and loved the fresh grass that was hand fed to them. Thanks for the cache.

We're BACK! Social distancing has always been my forte when geocaching - ever seen me at an event? Hahaha! But now with travel restrictions eased, we can go out and find some geocaches again.

A trip to Ballarat was in order, a new virtual cache and an Earthcache to find, as well as some Adventure Labs to check out. On our way to that cool Earthcache and picking up some of the new caches that have been published since I was last in these parts. A quick find here, I'll be back for the other cache along this stretch laster on today! Thanks for the cache Saint.Anthony.

A good spot for a stop on me way north this morning Smile
Why north ??
I want to see the sunshine again Razz
Two weeks of hanging around the Ballarat area,
and me suntan is fading [:o]

Which is probably a good thing,
given that the reason I've been hanging around this area,
was to have a skin cancer removed Red Face

Here in the foothills of the mount,
I found this cache after jumping the ditch,
and wading through the long wet grass Razz

Cache found ...
... Goodbye, for now, Ballarat [^]
Thanks to all the locals for showing me the geocaching sights Big Grin

Came back up to Ballarat to tackle a few more caches and to also have a paddle on the lake.
It was very windy at the lake this morning so I pulled the pin on launching the yak and headed up to Creswick to check out this area after coming up this way for an event a few weeks ago.
Pulled into the what my phone said was a road but realised it was a track that started at a gate so I parked to the side and made my way to GZ.
Once at GZ I soon located the cache and added my name to the log book.

Thanks Saint.Anthony TFTC.

Made the short stop in here to find this one, cache was soon found by Freddo.

Today was all about just caching around Ballarat and collecting a lot of the new caches that had been placed in the last few months. Despite the heaviness of the rain early to the middle of the day 40 finds were made and the 11,000th find was ticked off.

Thanks for the cache

In a round about sort of way we were heading back home from Ballarat, naturally via the best cache route.
This was our first stop, still lots of water about, a nice quick find, to get us started.

**FEEDBACK TO CO** The log book is very wet, seekers would appreciate a fresh log please.

Thanks 'Saint.Anthony' for adding this cache to the gameboard.

We still had a handful of jewels to chase before the Mystery at the Museum game finishes tomorrow, so despite the icy cold weather, Chook braved the elements to go caching while Chunk was hard at work. Plenty of water around today but the cache was nice and dry. TFTC Saint.Anthony.

Found as we had to make a dash up the highway and on our way home we managed to make the stop here, thanks for the interesting info, and with the mount as scenery thankfully not erupting, although that would of made it interesting lol, we made the find, signed the log and replaced as found, TFTC and the fun

Find #2213 for me. Found at 11:54 am while on my way to Ballarat from Bendigo with the kids. Well, I knew exactly where to go this morning as I'd found the container last Sunday but couldn't extract it... but this time it was an easy task thanks to either the CO or a previous finder. The weather was also much better this week - perfect for the CITO which we sadly missed as we got to Ballarat a wee bit too late. Thanks for bringing us back here today Saint.Anthony and thanks for the cache!

7th to find... only new!
Mr Riddell had a tackle with the barbs.
Yes too impatient to extract it.
TFTC with a lovely view of Mt Rowan in the background.

Out with 6hinemoa2 being the detective and collecting some jewels along the way. This took way too long even tho we had lots of tools. Eventually found something nearby that did the trick. Thanks Tony.

Had a very difficult time trying to access this cache. It took some 'thinking outside the square' before it was in my hands in the cold and wet today.
Left it with an extra attachment to help the next person access it.

Came by between showers to get this one on the way home from school pick up. Wet and gluggy around here and almost ended up in a mud puddle on the ground myself here but cache is in perfect order! Thanks for the cache Saint.Anthony! TFTC, SL, CIGC

14-Jul-19
I dropped by this one on my way to Ballarat this morning and found the cache quickly enough but like Motndarg, I was unable to extract it from its hiding place. After failing with some natural make-do tools around me I returned to the car with a couple of other tools that I thought might get it out, but alas it wasn't to be. The wind was blowing a gale so I was keen to move on after 10 minutes of trying. I'll return to give it another go after the next finder succeeds and hopefully piggy-back on their better efforts and extracting skill! Thanks for the fun so far Saint.Anthony!

13-Jul-19
Being close to home thought we would pick this up this morning. In between showers made the dash to GZ, but couldn’t extract the cache. Tried everything that was available in the car, will return with some ingenious mechanism to help!!

Second to find today on a wet morning heading to the event in town.
Beware water, prickly bushes, barb wire and spiky fence posts!!
Got out of here dry and unscathed.
Thanks Saint.Anthony

Suscoe headed to Ballarat today to kick off the Mystery month adventure.
It was a typical Winter's Day with cloud, low temperatures, a solid wind and drizzly rain on and off.
But with a range of caches to find we were happy to be out and about in an area that we enjoy visiting.

Thanks to Saint.Anthony for this hide.
