Don't know how many rest stops I need on my way through but was handy to find a cache there. Thanks c.s.c. for the cache.
TFTC coral.sea.cat your cache Stopping Bay #2 North that we found today. We are heading toward Nebo and Lake Elphinstone to meet up with several other teams. The plan is to cache around the Mackay area and find as many as possible. Due to a highway closure on the Bruce we have followed the recommended detour. We stop every so often to stretch legs and find a cache.Find Count: 19985
Today was all about efficiency as i embarked on a park and grab drive-by cache adventure along the power trail. The caches were lined up, waiting for eager geocachers like me to log my find. I stopped by this cache as part of a power trail adventure, and it was a quick and easy find. The cache was exactly where I expected it to be, thanks to the accurate coordinates. Thanks to the cache owner for placing this cache along the trail. It's a great addition to the power trail and made for a convenient stop on our geocaching journey.
Out and about geocaching today with Dora the Explorer! We had several caches chosen and this was one of them.A quick and easy find once at GZ.All is good with this cache.TFTC
I needed to stretch my legs, so this geocache was a good reason to stop. There was a bit of rubbish flung around, unfortunately, but the cache was thankfully a quick find. The cache container and logbook were in good shape. Thanks [coral.sea.cat](https://coord.info/PR5DWGQ) for the cache placement and ongoing maintenance.----------This 1.5 week trip, the purpose was the Queensland Outback Geocaching Muster (QOGM) in Longreach, with its aim to encourage tourism and support in rural towns. Departing from Brisbane on Friday 15/09/2023, I travelled solo taking the northern route through Gayndah, Emerald and Jericho on my way to the event, and then returned through Blackall, Morven, St George, Goondiwindi, and Toowoomba arriving back on Monday 25/09/2023.My Longreach highlights included the two QOGM muster/rally days visiting Muttaburra and Isisford; the Qantas Founders Museum; Stockmans Hall of Fame; Silver Tails Rail Sunset Tour; and the general historical town vibe. Other highlights to/from Longreach included climbing Mt Scoria; Barcaldine's Tree of Knowledge and kayaking in the water park; Blackall woolshed scour; and the smaller intriguing and historical towns that I passed through.During my travel days when I was time-poor, I targeted geocaches that were older in age, high D-T, puzzles/challenges, and rare cache types. In addition, I added 7-8 visited LGAs to my statistics. The scenery was memorable with picturesque sunsets, and a diversity of flora and fauna. There were plenty of kangaroos and wallabies, emus, goannas/lizards, brolgas, hawks, and alas wild hogs, and goats.Today, a full travel day was pencilled, driving from Gayndah to Emerald via Biloela.I started the day visiting the towns lookout before attending the local parkrun. Well and truly warmed up, I closed out my Gayndah visit with a drive up to the lookout and then visited the [Upside Down Bridge](https://coord.info/GC8ZMQ3) in the town across the river - an engineering masterpiece!I tend to be far too slow in my travel days morning, perhaps stopping at geocaches more than I should, although I enjoyed my visits to various towns. Perhaps at the hottest time of the day, I hurriedly hiked up Mt Scoria, and the basalt columns were impressive.I had lunch in Biloela and completed the [Biloela My Home Town](https://labs.geocaching.com/goto/af82ce36-2dcf-4ff3-ab59-75a503cad4f2) Adventure Lab, and then I decided to take fewer stops to then arrive in Emerald just as the light was fading. Post dinner, I tried to find a few more town geocaches, visiting the botanic gardens to the south, and more of the Emerald cotton geoart.
OCW PelDroedGwin, towing the caravan with geodog Peppa and geocat Levin in the car heading from Biloela.
With little traffic it was safe for us to pull up for this one.

Another quick find. Not much traffic today as a long weekend so everyone out enjoying themselves TFTC
Day 3 of the Reflection Road Trip started with light drizzly showers at Monto and ended with a downpour in Mt Morgan. There was no MTB riding today, just a mix of some nice township based caches, some historical sites, and my favourite drive bys. Maybe not.
Unfortunately, this area seems to be used for taking a pit stop.

Quick stop while heading north from my holiday on the granite belt, made good time today and now trying to out run the storm while finding a few caches on the run into Rocky

Great Northern escape 2022 Day 127. Gladstone to Dingo via Biloela and Dululu. I seemed to have chosen an unbalanced day with over 300 km to do, based on my last few days of travel, I should have stopped some where along the way and Biloela would have been a nice place to stop. I had a look around while doing a multi. Dululu was much smaller, but there was a food van at the van park that looked like a bit of an adventure. I stopped in Dingo and walked over to the pub for sinner and then slept to the dulcet sound of coal trains every 30mins or so.
As I headed north again to get onto th Emerald road, I stopped at a few rest areas, except one that was in a roadwork zone.
Thanks for the cache coral.sea.cat

We had planned a road trip to Queensland to visit family in 2021, but our travel plans were stalled due to border closures during the COVID-19 pandemic. Now that the world was trying to get back to a semi normal state, we decided to have another go at getting away from the cold and head up north for some sunshine and warmth.
Day 10 was a drive from Emerald to Biloela collecting caches along our journey to break up the drive. All caches were found in good condition unless otherwise mentioned. Lots of interesting things seen along the way and some wildlife thrown in for good measure.
Thanks to all the CO’s for the placements and keeping this hobby alive.

On my way from Canberra to North Queensland with a few detours for shires. TFTC.
Nice stop. Boy, some people just have to throw trash at these stops. Strange.

Thanks for placing these castles along the road to break up the drive nice quick grab
We decided to spend an extra night in Rocky and try our luck at the Cry series and then finish off the CQ Adventure before heading for a couple of earth caches in a bit of a loop and anything else that popped up on the screen.
This was a nice little series along here that we thought we would give a go and as we wouldn't be coming back this way we did both north and south on our south bound trip. This is a nice simple idea to break up the drive and grab a few smilies along the way. We didn't think that we were going to get #2 South as there were road works traffic lights but happily it was just before the traffic lights that were already red so we stopped and Diane jumped out and was able to locate the cache and sign the log and get back in the car before the lights turned green so we continued on merrily.
Thanks coral sea cat for a fun little series.

Day 4 of a road trip to Townsville to with LuckyL10n and today it was a drive from Mundubbera to Emerald.....just over 600klms for today.
We stopped along the way for a few selected caches to help fill the calendar and for a chance to get out of the car. Lots of different caches found, the majority withoug issues. A few more rain clouds appeared as the day went on, however that has almost become the norm. Some great scenery, so the decision to drive up has certainly been worth while.
Thanks to all caches owners for their cache placements. Most logs were signed SdL / L Lion.

#13587 - 11:42:00 AM; Day four of the Townsville Mega adventure with Sol de lune and after spending the night in Mundubbera (after discovering Eidsvold was pretty much closed at 18:00), we collected a couple of the local caches before heading north for Emerald, via Eidsvold, Mulgildie, Monto, Thangool, Biloela, Dululu, Duaringa, Dingo, Bluff, Blackwater and Comet, caching along the way. We continued to add counties to our caching maps as well. All caches were found in good order unless otherwise noted in the logs. All logs were signed L.L10n and Sdl or vice versa. Apologies for the largely generic logs [:o)] TFTC coral.sea.cat
Day 5 of my cycling trip to Townsville for the Mega event.
I am continuing my way north.
A quick find here while enjoying a break off of the bike.

Just the facts mam.
3 Ancient wonders to go to complete the set and the stops along the road in this section will give them to us.
Shiney.
Now all we have to do is convince the fella driving the really wide load towing a trailer with a harvesting implement that we aren't playing around with him as we pass him for the nth time only to pull up just ahead of him as we dive in and out of the rest stops chasing the caches here.
Little to no internet.
The GPS jumps around a lot and on two of these is really out, but have faith, they are as described in the hints.
South 2 and 3, North 1 and 2 done.
Logs signed. No snakes found, tho at one point I levitated as the stick I stood on sailed up to hit me in the back of the calve. Did I scream like a girl? I may have.

After camping overnight in Biloela I headed north today and stopped to grab some caches allong the way. No problems finding the caches and once the logs were signed all were returned as found.
If a cache needed attention that was done too.
Thanks to the CO's for placing these cache for me and others to find.

FROM NZ
We are on an out back tour from rocky heading to Emerald and on to Longreach then back through Blackall and on down to Dalby
Very quick find thanks to a clear hint. Terrible about the rubbish lying around. So disrespectful to the farmer nearby. Lovely sunset though with a touch of light rain.cache is in good condition Tftc
Fancy putting a treasure here.
Night driving to Cairns and it was freezing.
Almost
Just 4°C.
Luckily on finding the treasure was easy. Quick enough that the finger dexterity was not effected by an extended search in this unexpected cold.
Apparently global warming hadn't reached Queensland yet.
Fortunately.
Time to get back to the warm car.
