Driving home from lunch, we pulled over at the 7/11 for some petrol. Just enough time to run off and grab a cache! A very interesting container, signed and returned quickly.TFTC
Second cache found on the night bike ride, definitely was getting frustrated at this one by not finding anything, but then thinking about it for a second, spotted something that made me realise i just found it TFTC incredibly well hidden
Found quickly after work. I really wanted to stop by and get a smiley so I could grab the latest souvenir. Didn't have a pen on me though - very strange. Will send proof of find. TFTC
Suscoe was in the area today heading homeward.A cool start to the day and a bit of moisture on the grass.A bit of sun shining through every now and again,We enjoyed exploring the suburbs as we wandered south and south west from Ferntree Gulley. Thanks to chuck_thunder for this hide.
Heading across Melbourne to visit family... and left early enough to find a few more caches in the Monash LGA... my target is 100 so I hope there is enough for that. OK, so I ended up 1 out of 2 for the Trads in this park... loved the container, very appropriate! I will be back for the Multi another day when I have a bit more time. Thanks **chuck_thunder** for putting this cache here.
In the area with HeliKelli and located the cache as part of the Leap Year Challenge. Nicely thought out cache. TFTC chuck_thunder
After finding two caches in beautiful gardens where were had brunch, Kploz and I needed two more to complete our Leap Day Challenge. A quick check of the map on our way home showed this in a cluster of three, so it was perfect. I have found these types of hides before and due to very clever construction they have lead to much frustration, but thank goodness not this time. Still a well concealed cache posing openly in the natural environment so it cant be seen by those that are not looking for it.
Out and about from Geelong as the wife visited her sick grandma in a local aged care facility. So the kids and myself decided to try a playground while we waited, as we pulled up I started to wonder if there were any hides in the area and to our luck there were 3, all within walking distance to each other. This one we found pretty quickly, very clever camoflauge. Thank you for placing for us to find.
Found with my grandson Harvey on the way to meeting mum when she finished work. The type of cache to find was obvious and found quickly. Well constructed. Love these trees grown from the Lone Pine in Gallipoli. This is a fine specimen and cache gets a favourite from us. TFTC
Out hunting a couple of caches this afternoon after having a nice lunch with a former work colleague and decided to hunt the caches in this park. After gathering the clues for the nearby multi I was walking close to this one so deviated and hunted it. Well that took a quite a bit of looking each and every way until I finally spied the nicely done cache. Signed and returned just as the really dark clouds were about to dump heaps of rain so gave up on the others and went back to the car before I got soaked! Will be back for the others! Thanks to chuck thunder for this one
Geohubby is on the case today! Excellent cammo, and we started the trend of signing the back of the log sheet. Lovely maintained park.
I was here a year ago and couldnt find it. I was coming past today and didnt have much time to spare, so i was nervous I would not find it again. But after reading the previous logs, I knew where I had to adjust my eyesight to. Great cache , a favourite point for me
Out for a long walk from Wantirna and a short rest stop here.I wasn't planning on staying for long and luckily this was super quick. TFTC
Great cache and clever hide. Found while killing some time at the park. TFTC.Oh yeah - we wrote our names in the last spot on the log - time for a new one. Bubba & smilesheri
This was a quick find for me but still a very clever hide. Nicely done!Thank you chuck_thunder for the cache.
YAY - I found 'Central Reserve #2: Lone Pine" this morning while out strolling before breakfast. I was staying nearby and decided that finding a cache (or two) was a good thing to do. Finding GZ was quite quick, finding the actual cache was a different matter. I looked high and low and round and round - but nothing looked out of place. I just happened to turn around at the right time - and - with the right angle - and - spotted this cheeky hide. The log was uncovered, signed and replaced as quickly as I could as it was quite a busy area. Thanks chuck_thunder for setting up and maintaining this cache. A great area to take a stroll AND it was already quite a busy place for 8.00am on the Friday Grand Final Public Holiday. A junior cricket team were in full training mode as well as several other groups using the open spaces around the grounds - I was surprised. Favourite from me - loved the time taken to create the great cache container.PS: The Troll Dolls [TN6TR0] were with me on my great caching adventures today.
Took 2 visits to find this one. I'm convinced it wasn't there the first time though as I checked for this sort of cache the first time (or maybe in just blind!).
Second visit was far more successful, found within a single rotation.

I looked for this cache about a year ago, but ran out of time. After a couple of circuits of the tree today I was no wiser, then I turned and saw the clever container. I called icw over as he is taller than me and he liberated the log. Tftc.
Easy but lucky it nearly knocked me out. Found with who like many is vertically challenged. My height did the trick. TFTC
Wow! Love this hide. Had quick look for this the other day when I found the other two in the park but could not see. Was short of time so left it. Passing by today so time to look again. Still needed a paf for a hint. Favourite from me. TFTC
Great camo, took me awhile!! Unfortunately my pen ran out of ink so I was unable to sign the log, but otherwise it’s in great condition.
TFTC!
TFTC!
Found it with rex46
Very clever indeed, I won’t have found it if it’s not with rex46

Out with Dot558 on a lovely winter day and came across this thanks to previous activities was able to narrow it down,
Cache all good
Thank you
Cache all good
Thank you
Took me two revolutions before spotting something unusual. Nicely done and not as sneaky as I was anticipating. Another cache towards the current monthly promotion.
Last time I found one of these it was more than 10m high and the container was even less visible, so this should’ve been a walk in the park! Took far longer than it should’ve, but I guess that’s just testament to it being a good hide (even if I would’ve put it much higher up personally haha).
In my defence it’s pretty late and dark out, but I got it signed and replaced as found eventually. Getting the container shut back in place in the dark was a pretty good challenge too!
Happy to report that the cache is in good condition and the log nice and dry.

Thankfully this didn't take us too long to find at night. Great camo! TFTC!
This was our aim for this morning, but we got side tracked by a few others on the way. Took a lot of looking, but found eventually. Lid was very right but got in and signed, with Cybergran V.
Thanks chuck_thunder, we so nearly gave up, but ConnieandRick was determined that we were going to find this cache to fill a hole in my LGA Challenge for this area.
I had a cache very similar near Shepparton, but it was burnt. So glad to see this one intact. Thanks for placing it here for our frustration but ultimate delight, a favourite point from me.

Was just about to give up when bingo, reminds me of why I love caching, great camo TFTC
Very very clever. Almost missed it but saw one detail that gave it away.
A great cache, thanks

Just as we were about to give up and walk away we spotted it!! Such a clever hide!!! Geodog certainly loved the park too, TFTC

**Find#7,599**
Found this one after a brief search. Everything was in very good condition.
By this stage, I was getting near the end of my available time but decided that I might as well get the other cache here, although I would be a little late for the event.
**Thanks for the fun chuck_thunder**

We checked on it today and it's still there. You made need to get on tippy toes though
Too tricky for two sets of eyes today. Kids were playing footy this morning so we snuck off to search during the 3rd quarter...
We dropped in today and this one is still there. After it was muggled last time we placed it a bit higher, but still no need to climb.
In the area for another event. Had a good long look for this one and turned up nothing. Pretty sure on the camo so I suspect it has gone missing.
This cache is very well hidden. I surprised myself finding it within a few minutes.
Thanks for the cache chuck thunder.
Thanks for the cache chuck thunder.
This one turned out to be a bit easier than I thought to find. But I did trust the gizmo to put me in the right area. And at night this one gave a little tell. Even with the very good camo.
So yeah....FACE-PALM....finally found it, cunningly disguised as I had suspected it might be all along....my hints to add to some prior:
1) Trust the GZ coords
2) Can be reached by a reasonably sized adult ie. no climbing required
3) Don't be like me and drop stuff in your eye as you're looking up
TFTC.... Next stop.... Rocky....

Yeah nah... Still a DNF... I'm sure I'll be giving myself a massive facepalm one day when I finally find it
We dropped by to check on this one this afternoon and it had been muggled. We put together a replacement, and it's now good to go again.
Checked it out because we were walking the dog. We looked all around but did not find
Area not very busy this morning so I had time for a search without being observed. thanks for the cache.
Being such a lovely afternoon, we went out as a family to find a few caches, and give Crusty K9 some new places to sniff around.
While I was still searching, Mrs V made the find. I'm sure I looked there!
Tftc chuck thunder.

TFTC!. After attempting the multicache, this one was up next. Certainly took its time and nearly gave up, but spied it out of the corner of my eye.
Loev the camo!
Loev the camo!
Thought I knew roughly what we were looking for but no joy in that regard. I was for giving up but Geospouse said “ Let’s go around once more…” and bingo! Very clever indeed. TFTC
Another park I've driven past a few times but never stopped at...until today! Very creative container haha
Had an appointment close by so I did a quick grab on this one.
Thanks chuck_thunder for the cache.

What a great concealment. Thanks chuck_thunder.
Today my mission was to focus on specific LGAs to increase my find count. Luckily while the clouds looked threatening, rain did not hamper my searching. Mission accomplished!

Out and about this afternoon to pick up some caches before I go to cards up north of the city. Partially due to my want to do some caches up north I thought why the hell not. A nice and easy find with a clever little camouflage.
Thanks for the cache and the quick little adventure.

This is a very well disguised cache. It took me a while to spot it. Very well done indeed.
Looked around for this one for a short time before reading past activity and trusting the coordinates.

#55 | 04/03/21 09:58 Lovely sunshiny day for a walk in the new neighbourhood.
First cache since lockdown. Did a few laps without luck & hang around until inspiration struck Thanks for the cache chuck_thunder.

I’d clearly forgotten how to cache because this find initially took a while! Then I asked myself, “If I were hiding a cache here what would look normal?” sure enough, once my eyes had settled... got the cheeky thing ️
This one was missing last time I came. Noticed it had been replaced so we went for a ride and found easily this time. TFTC
Found at 12:08
Out and about picking up a few. This didn't take as long as I thought.
Thanks chuck_thunder for the cache

Found with Phetlern. Walked into the site and started looking but before very long the cry of "found it' was heard.
We hunted around for a while before discovering this well disguised container.
Thanks chuck_thunder for bringing us to this huge park area.
Chiefton!!!

I have never before found a cache on November 26. I have never before been to Central Reserve. I have never before found this style of cache at the first attempt.
All this was about to change.
The geohounds and I got out of the car and headed southwards. What a huge reserve, I had no idea. But at GZ I did have a fair idea of what I was looking for, and so took a deep breath and started a preliminary scan of the area. What!! I spotted it almost before I’d begun. That never happens!
Nice job on the hide chuck_thunder!
According to Google, Gallipoli to Rhodes is around 800km. Impressive that you can see the Colossus from here In any case, I was happy to add it to my collection of Ancient Wonders.
As we were here, we set off on a tour of the reserve. It was even bigger than my first impression.
We dropped in on Rocky (and pulled heaps of burrs off my clothing) and also Treasure Hunt. Both were found in good condition. However, I will return at a later date to sign logs as calendar dates dictate.
The ground staff were working hard this morning - orange hi vis was everywhere.

Cache has been damaged, so disabling while we do repairs. We'll replace it this week some time.

After a DNF at the teddy Bears picnic this was the next one attempted and after some scanning the impressive camo cache was spotted. However on returning the log the camo fell off. So some attention maybe required now. A pleasing find and first time here aftet always been driving past.
Day 105 of 366 completed.
