Cracking spot, but couldn’t find any evidence of a hide. Thanks for bringing me to the spot, grabbed some photos of the bridge.

There have been seven DNFs on this one in the past three months. Even the two finds are actually DNFs if you read the logs. Could this be checked please?

Beautiful bridge we had an adventure getting to it made so much more difficult than it needed to be by the water and the need to keep shoes dry. Note to self pack gum boots in Geobag. Favorite from us just for the fun we had getting to it

Found by Team Ladava on our first day back caching after the covid hiatus.
Whenever I see stonework like this I am just in awe of the engineering and craftsmanship of the stonemasons all those years ago who built this structure without today's equipment and which train still thunder across more than 150 years later.
A favourite point from Team Ladava for the highlighted structure.

Our thanks to Tanyabauer for the cache.

Out here was the surprise of me tour today Smile
Tucked away down the back streets of Harcourt is a magnificent stone bridge [^]
So I wandered in and under.
Cor !! It's big Big Grin

The short scramble to GZ was easy with hiking boots on Smile
And the cache was found in the only place it really could be [^]
I'm sure glad I didn't meet the troll that lives under this bridge [:o)]

TFTC and a few photos Smile

An afternoon of caching with becca85, my kids (AdamSistema and LukeSistema) and her kids (neisha07 and boo09) saw TeamClarmensma form for some caching fun and adventure. What a great bridge. Bonus was the train come over and scared the kids! Ha ha. Thanks for the cache.

Another great spot for a cache! Found with Polhey _moley, we overshot it and climbed to the top of track which you don’t need to do. Back down and made the find, as we were leaving a train went overhead. TFTC

Grub62 stopped to take some photos of this bridge. I on the other hand had a quick look at my geocaching map and sure enough there was a cache here. So off I went and found the cache as described. A slight climb but an easy find. TFTC.

This was not an easy cache to get to. Both our GPS units were rather erratic - while we stool still the distance to GZ varied between 2m and 19m. Eventually we used our geosenses and finally found the cache in a good hide. The cache and contents were in good condition. Thanks for the cache.

After attending the Mega event in St Arnaud over the weekend, I was heading home and since there was still plenty of time I took a detour of the main road to find a couple more caches.
Managed to find somewhere to park since I had the van in tow and I was soon greeted by a lovely old bridge.
It was of a grand design and looked great from underneath.
The GPS would not settle down here and I looked in a few spots then the geo sense kicked in and I soon added my name to the sneaky cache.
Thanks for showing off another lovely old bridge that you would normally just bypass in your travels.

Thanks Bauer Family TFTC.

This cache was found today and brings our overall cache find tally to 10378.

I had eyed this cache off from home as it gave me a find in this region when I hadn’t found one previously. So today on my way to St Arnaud I called past and eventually made a find. I should have ignored the GPS and gone with my gut feel.

Thanks The Bauer Family for the cache.

A short trip to Castlemaine for an event and some maintenance in Taradale. Some time to cache along the way as well.
That is quite a steep hill!
Thanks for contributing to a fun day Tanyaandfamily

14-Sep-19
Easy find while caching around Castlemaine after attending today's event. Picked this one to do after a find for a nearby cache that is part of a series I'm working on and couldn't help but stop to admire the bridge. Thx Bauer family for this cache too.

The best thing about doing caches after someone else has is over time we leave nice little paths to the cache haha.. made my life so much easier walking up that hill I was worried how bad it was going to be untill I seen there some foot holes in the dirt so going up was alot easier.. coming down, another story haha be carefull when wet.. thank you for the cache smiley all looks in great order Smile

Sitting at my computer during these Covid lockdowns, I am trying to catch up on a few logs that I haven't sent in yet.

Over the years, geocaching has taken me on many adventures, including interesting destinations all over my home continent of Australia and many overseas as well. It has also introduced me to a diverse group of like-minded caching tragics, many of whom I now call close friends.

Today, I was lucky enough to be out and about searching for caches, something I do on almost a daily basis. This was one cache that was targeted and found.

Sorry for the late log, something I am notorious for. Thank you for adding to the adventure that is geocaching.

Thanks Tanyaandfamily (F=144 H=14) for the cache.

Great bridge. I do like old stone infrastructure, so thanks for bringing us here. Remember admiring all the bluestone in this district during my last visit to the area some years ago.

Find #2224 for me. Found at 10:07 am while on my way to Ballarat from Bendigo with the kids. Wow, what a great bridge! It looked good from the photo in the cache gallery but way better in real life and close up. I took quite a few photos of the bridge at various angles before the search for the cache even began. My son got out of the car with me for this one but was more interested in the bridge and climbing up the slope so he was otherwise occupied while I made a quick find of the cache. The car was in full view the entire time so my daughter noticed me when I took the rabbit stamp and left a toy top in return. She was very happy with the stamp because it was orange and it matched the red one we took from another one of your caches last week. She said she wants to make a rainbow! Thanks for bringing us to yet another place in Harcourt that I'd never been before and highlighting this wonderful bridge The Bauer Family and thanks for the cache!

Similar construction to the ones we have in Riddell.

**9 July 2019 3:23 pm**
On our weekly trip to Bendigo, this new one was not too far off the road and I thought we had time to squeeze it in.
I parked and made the scramble up the embankment.
The cache was soon found and the log book signed. And then we were on our way again.

**Thanks for the fun The Bauer Family**

Suscoe was heading south bound today after a few days away up in Horsham and in Bendigo for the last three days.
It was a foggy and drizzly morning and fairly cool to boot.
We wandered our way home and arrived early afternoon.
An enjoyable morning checking out some new areas and a few spots that we had been near before.

Thanks to The Bauer Family for this hide, nice to be the second name in the log book at such an interesting location, they don't make 'em like that anymore!!!!!!!!!!!

Bloody sore knees Twisted[:(!] meant that I couldn't drive up to the Wollongong Mega Sad so a shorter caching trip was required since my leave had been approved for the purpose of geocaching RazzBig Grin

A day trip to and from Mt Beckworth was planned Smile but with the wet weather and soreness[xx(], it became a two day trip with an overnight stay in ClunesCool[^]
After a brief visit into the clouds and rain at Mt Beckworth on Sunday afternoon with a couple of finds Smile and then a VERY smelly Rex who rolled in something dead[xx(][:(!][xx(] it was decided that a warm sleep was required after a dog wash and so Clunes became the night camp[^]
Getting into the key safe at the motel was harder than most puzzle cache padlocks Razz I had to hang up on the manager, get the headtorch and concentrate to get the key Wink (Backup plan was that the kindly manager would come to rescue me if needed!) [^] Thus ended Sunday with tea being pistachios, dried coconut and apricots while lying on a motel bed [|)]

Monday morning was chatting with a lovely local woman (who has a Lab and a Beagle - rescue dogs) and having her watch me replace the first attempted cache (with CO's permission) while dodging the local 'politician's' who were cheery as while getting ready for the NAIDOC week flag raising. The local lady ended up putting me on the phone to her hubby SurprisedBig Grin Poor man was being passed around a bit as he also had to contend with being handed over to a 'politician' tooRazz

After the 1st cache find was on the board, a great 'Shearer's Breakfast' was had at the Quigley & Clarke Cafe - Restaurant (and wishing I could have stayed for their tea that night as the menu looked delicious and was 3 courses for $30!) then it was time to cache Clunes and enjoy the scenery and sights! Cool[^]Smile

Finally it was back to Mt Beckworth for another late afternoon trip in and out with another couple of finds Cool as the sun set before heading for home[|)] A new email on the way meant a detour towards Harcourt and a new cache was found (to make my 3rd FTF for the trip) Smile then it was a foggy trip home to end a short but pleasant cache trip with a total of 16 cache finds Smile [|)]Smile

Rex and I enjoyed seeing the huge bridge Cool[^]
As I use my GPSr, I had put the coords into the GPSr back at Faraday when this cache was published.
Arriving at the bridge though, I noticed that Rex and I had walked to the end of the grassed area and the coords still wanted me in the creek[?]Surprised[?]
Time to double check[?] because the cache description suggested elsewhere[?] and sure enough Red FaceRed Face I had made an error putting them inRed FaceRed Face with that error rectified I approached GZ and carefully told my feet, attached to my sore[xx(] knees, where to step while my hiking poles gave me some stability [^]
Rex, naturally, was just jumping and running all over the place Wink
Balancing carefully on the wet ground, I managed to retrieve the cache from the hiding spot and sign the log Smile
Woohoo! Cool *FTF* Smile at 19:57
