Found this cache whilst on our two month adventure throughout central Australia and remote parts of WA.With the Birdsville track open again we made our way southward. Finally picked the right cnr. Thanks to all the COs for adding to our adventure. TFTC
Crossed over here on a short detour on the way to Birdsville. So much fun. TFTC
Being this close to the Birdsville track, wanted to eyeball it. Crossed the border and made a quick find. Then spend a few minutes taking pickies of the border signs. Thanks Freddo for setting this cache up, now its time to head into Birdsville.
One would think when caching in the middle of Australia one would be free from muggles - but we had to dodge them here on the Birdsville Track. After trying to appear super interested in the border signs for a while they all left and then it was a quick find. However, on returning here comes another muggle! They were in a hurry though and zoomed in through. Thanks for the hide and bringing us here.
TFTC,Came out here to visit South Australia for the first time during our trip. Now to head North and West to NT before returning to SA, Vic. and NSW.Visited trackables.

Our journey to North Queensland will take us through many different towns.

Heading back to South Australia, we had to find this one. Took a little longer than necessary, we are getting a little rusty. Thanks for the find.
Found! Work trip from Mount Isa to Birdsville but always great to visit my home state of SA! TFTC.
Finally got our Welcome to Queensland selfie as there was no sign at Poeppels Corner Cache was an easy find. TFTC
On my way to NT via Birdsville Queensland with a few detours for shires. TFTC.
Decided to travel a bit down the iconic Birdsville track. Meet a dingo at the other cache.

A quick trip to the border from Birdsville while we’re waiting to go in to the Big Red Bash. A nice easy find cache and the obligatory border photos. Perfect! TFTC
Found at 3:04:00 PM(t) GAFF1.
Well we approached the boarder and dared not set foot over the line! Found the cache which was precariously attached as it fell off as soon as we touched it!
Now the interesting thing is - is this cache in the Outback Communities Authority LGA (as per GSAK) or the Diamantina LGA?
Thanks Freddo.

We're in Birdsville for the first time and enjoying exploring. Great to make a Freddo find. Didn't think we'd be in SA again so soon. Thanks for arranging
The track to this was in great condition although with people starting to roll into town already for the upcoming races, we dare to say that it might not stay like that for long. Nice quick find here. Thanks for the cache.
After a great night at Bettota with micaparamedic, papi4506 and geoturtle37 we woke up a little bit worse for wear and headed off to our next destination which was Birdsville.
We decided on a caravan park for a couple of nights and after setting up camp we headed out to grab a couple of caches.
This was the third cache for the day and it was a nice little drive at that. This part of the track is in excellent condition leading up to the race meeting next weekend, we are pretty sure that will change by the time everyone has left the races.
The cache itself turned to be a nice easy find right where the GPSr was pointing and the log book now contains all our names.
Many thanks Freddo for the cache.

A motley bunch of cachers, including Papi4506, Geoturtle37 and Team Crackers, are meandering their way from Melbourne to Townsville for the CacheQld mega event. So far we have travelled through the Riverland in SA where the On Your Bike series was completed with a number of other teams from Victoria. Departing company with the other Victorian teams, we travelled to Broken Hill, Tibooburra and Innaminka.
Today we arrived in Birdsville after visiting Cameron Corner and Haddons Corner. After checking in to our digs for the night, we headed out to grab a few caches, this being one of them.
Thanks Freddo for placing this cache to add another token to the game board and further enhance our enjoyment.

Well, we were allowed back in to SA to the best of my knowledge…..no covid test and no self isolating!, but now I have to go back to work. Quick early morning find made here to beat the heat. TFTC.
Hello south Australia thank you for the hide. Logging with DeafCat, Deafphantom and DutchAus
Glad to be back in sa from our 6week trip in Queensland, but we have to quarantine for two weeks. Tftc
Was finally able to get away on my 2021 trip up to outback Qld.
The original plan was to go up through NSW but that got changed on the morning of the departure.
Well I’m not SA bound but I’m bound for Qld for some sun.
Was very apprehensive about towing the new van up the track but my only other option was to stay home.
Well I have made it to the border at least and now not far to Birdsville.
Took the required holiday border crossing photos and soon had this one signed.
Thanks Freddo the Chocolate Frog TFTC.

In all is was an absolutely fantastic trip with lots of wonderful things to see.
This cache was one of over 120 that we found during our outback drive.

We had a clean run. No party lights. No COVID forms. Kinda weird as we had to fill out all sorts into Birdsville. If you had Vic number plates you'd be a gonna.
This cache was found as part of an EPIC TRIP! to cross the Simpson Desert in July 2020. We crossed the desert without incident thanks to the smooth expert driving of H423L. There were many rocks, water holes, railway sidings and big dunes. Of course there was this cache too. The nights were clear and the stars were bright.
Thanks to Freddo and **clear skies** from TeamAstro. [^] Cache the planet!
We made it up the Birdsville Track with minimal trouble and then I broke the van in the Birdsville Caravan Park. D’oh!
After a few false starts I did get it fixed.
The trip up the Track was pretty straightforward and the chance to stop for caches along the way helped add to the trip.
Overnight at Mungaranie Phil’s and then Janet and I continued north. The track was good apart from the corrugations which actually weren’t too bad.
This cache was a quick find in the first place checked. No surprises with the cache container or logbook either.
TFTC yet again Freddo

Good place to stretch the legs and yep, pick up a cache on the border.

A border crossing and "Surprise, Surprise" a cache! A guess we were gonna stop here anyway, take a couple of obligatory photos at the border crossing in front of the signs ("Welcome to Queensland ", and/or "Welcome to South Australia" etc., etc., etc.) so why not grab a cache as well?

Stopped here during our annual desert trip - 10 border crossings in 14 days (this was our last) - and bound for South Australia we were .
Surprisingly, after 4 Simpson crossings, it was our first time over this one (and 4 others) [^].
TNLNSL.
Thanks Freddo the Chocolate Frog.

Nice hide. Strange to be crossing back into SA after more than 2 months wandering around up north. TFTC.
Logging this cache as a beta-tester.
1. Are the coordinates accurate? Check!
2. Does the container, logbook, etc meet requirements? Check!
3. Is it listed in the correct state? Check!
Thanks Freddo the Chocolate Frog for the cache.

Logging as beta-tester after checking out the locality with Freddo, e.gregory1 and Team Waldron during an awesome trip to the Simpson Desert, staying at Coober Pedy, then camping out at Dalhousie Springs, three nights in the Simpson Desert, Birdsville, Clayton Bore and Aroona Valley. Thanks for the cache Freddo!
The Parrot tribe is off to the dead centre of Australia to attend the Big Red Bash.
This is a rock concert on the edge of the Simpson desert.
SA_Parrothead, Young Einstein's and H7 are in a convoy of 2 cars heading to Birdsville and back.
It is being billed as the most remote rock concert in the world and the last act will be Midnight Oil rocking it out as the moon rises.
Midnight Oil - The Dead Heart has a line - We carry in our hearts the true country.
We look forward to being a part of that.
Almost at Birdsville.

In Birdsville for Big Red Bash. Really surprised at the number of Geocachers passing through town at the moment.
Lucky for us that Freddo put out this cache so close for us to be able to get our caching fix, but also that it was published today so that enabled Mr Felix to duck off to make the find. If it had been tomorrow we would have missed out!
