Out with SkyCraneKid cycling to to Linton and back. This one was a little embarrasing. I spotted the SPOR pretty quickly, and disrupted it, confirmed there was no cache there, and went on to looking at other places, Eventually came back as part of a recheck over everything to find that at the disrupted SPOR I recognised the cache immediately. I must have picked it up to move it out of the way earlier! A real surprise as normally I can recognise this cache container from a mile away.
See what happens when you go with a partner? My son and geoteam mate literally found it straight away making me feel like a blind goose for not finding it on previous trip. I think I was overthinking it. At least I can log another smilie #105Great find with Achilles and geohound Bill (& Ted)Mihi ki a koe me te keteroki
Third dnf today Busy day on the track for muggles on Kings Bday. Given up trying to look nonchalant. Will try for the smilie another day
Found the cache quickly, did not hear any explosions or guns been fired while this way, tftc Popmac
Another quick find by TePureiK as I was on the wrong side of the track . Log signed and cache re hidden. Tftc
There was a hedgehog sitting in the target area, once moved along it was an easy find. Tftc
Nice and easy here, these containers blend in well in these hide styles, nice one B.
Last hit out at caching in March, just the four caching days so modest find numbers this month. I wanted to head out for an easy walk this afternoon as the recent weather left my intended target of Sledge Track not as appealing as I'd want it to be to head up alone. I'd also misread and thought the Linton to Palmy walkway was 14km one way! So nice surprise to see less than 6.5kms . mrs c dropped me off at Linton track end and a plan to meet in Esplanade was adjusted to Pak n Save for 8kms exactly, 15 cache finds and a good stroll. Thanks to 'all' COs.
I keep an eye on my finds by CO on Project-GC and noted Popmac had recently been bumped out of my 'Top 40' After todays efforts he's back on board and Joeyge0 is also jostling with the high 30s at 6-+ finds by CO, welcome!

On a walk with scouts/cubs with apleseed2 I touched all of them but the cache. A very funny moment.
A nice walk along the pathway from the Linton end this morning. soon spotted what I was looking for. TFTC
Out for a ride along the track out to Linton and a chance to grab a number of caches along the way. Spotted the hiding spot for this one as soon as we hopped off the bikes and had the cache in hand in short order. Container works well in this location and decided to give this one a FP as it definitely was our favourite of the series. Thanks Popmac.

Another Bridge, another smilie, thanks PopMac for adding to the enjoyment of the game.
Getting as many finds in before the event at 8.30 in the Square, this one was found around 6.53am, not long after I heard the 7am bugle sounds from the camp below.

#11,095. After finding the walkway I noticed it had a few caches placed on it so decided to keep walking and grab some more before heading back to the city. The wind was fair blowing up here today but it was still popular with cyclists and walkers. Lots of gunfire going off at the nearby military camp. With the war in Ukraine I have to say I find it a bit unsettling hearing very loud automatic gunfire. Just wish humans would value the lives of others so we don't need to train soldiers to kill people. The cache was quickly spotted in the first place checked. Signed the logbook and replaced everything as found. Thanks Popmac for hiding it here.
Nice TFTC! finally I found one of your caches found in couple of seconds because I’m used to the look of this cache!
Another bridge - what a super track this is. Another nice find - cache is all good. TFTC
(# 7060) On a caching trip to Palmy. A quick find while walking the track. Thanks for bringing me here.
Decided to go for a walk, today and walked as far as the "äbove the bridge" cache. picked a few along the way. Apologies for any double entry in log, i couldn't remember which one i found last year but forgot to log, on web. This was one of the ones i didn't find last time. And i realised i wasn't looking hard enough lol. Nice Cache, and Thank you for placing cache along this walkway.
A straight forward find of a nice new log sheet.
It's a beautiful warm day with lots of muggles enjoying the track today. Very windy though - I had trouble keeping my hat on!
Thanks for putting this here for us to find

Sorry for the delay in logging. I’m in the process of finally logging all my old finds.

No luck today, on a deadline to get back to town to pick up Ms_KR from the Art Gallery.
#12,481. Another nice hike in Linton, Palmerston North. Fortunately, GZ itself was all quiet at the time of our visit. Relatively quick find. The cache was in good condition, all nice and dry inside. Took nothing, left nothing, signed log.

Been a while since i've been down here. Decided to check this cache out... now home to some spiders eeek immediately put it back
Passing through Palmerston and had the afternoon free to cache. Parked up at Paneiri Park and got the bike out. Crossed over the new pedestrian bridge and collected the next 10 caches on the way to Lindon. What a beautiful and busy walkway/cycle path with wonderful views of the river. By the time I got back to the car I was ready for a refreshing swim. Kept on having to avoid mugged. Well where’s West and East? Well I guess the setting sun will tell me. Cache all fine. Thanks Popmac for the smiley.
EtherDad wanted to go for a bike ride and convinced me to come along too.The scenary and the ride were enjoyable, but I would have reconcidered if I had of known that it was going to be about 20km long! At least I got an icecream at the end
EtherLord has been in a pretty grumpy mood this long weekend, and despite going for a bike ride with the two oldest sprogs yesterday, more fresh air is required if his standing with EtherLady is to improve.
I decided that a worthwhile trip to achieve this would be to avenge my FtDnF on "Kahuterawa Stream Bridge" at the end of this path, and SkyCraneKid (formally known as EtherMaster) came along for the ~20km round trip bike ride along He Ara Kotahi.
With my mission complete and the blue frowney now a yellow smiley, we're caching our way back to the pedestrian bridge and the icecream truck parked there.
On our way to the end target, I'd come flying down the hill and across this bridge and up the other side, and managed to stop in time to find the cache at the top.
On our return, I also went flying down the hill and had to break hard when I saw the needle saying it was behind me.
A short backtrack got me to GZ and quick search was aided by the fact that the container was upside down and exposing its white bum to the world like a rabbit or a deer.
@SCK was waiting in the rest area on the other side of the bridge, and we were back on task for an icecream after completing the logbook formalities.
Thanks for adding this cache to the growing population along this path
As it turned out, a better mood for EtherLord wasn't sufficient to appease @WonderfulWifey, but mowing our lawns after dinner was

Flowerydaze and I decided to do the shared pathway along the river bank so we loaded the bikes onto the bike rack and set off. A lovely ride through farmland, forest and riverbank caching along the way and this one was on the list, another though that had a confusing title, TFTC Popmac.
The sunshine has certainly encouraged all the muggles to take advantage of this excellent share pathway. Continuing our very pleasant bike ride we quickly found this one while there were no muggles around. Thanks for placing these caches along this shared pathway, it has made the ride more enjoyable
After a series of instant finds, this one didn't yield a result in the first place searched. However, it still didn't take long and we were soon on our way to the next site.
We did this area about a month in order to achieve the 72 cache finds in 24hrs. An achievement coin thats still out there in Geoshop land if you hunt hard enough! We were staying in Palmie for a couple of nights, so it seemed only logical to try and give it ago- we started late, and with 4 kiddos 12yrs and under, we thought- this is not going to be possible! But, despite a few DNF's at the beginning -and the negative vibe that gave us, we were determined to do it. 11.20am start, and we completed 65 of them by 5.30 at night- with a small lunch break on the side of the road and a few arguments in the car with restless kiddies- but a good haul! The last 7 were easily achieved the next morning on a morning walk along the Palmerston north River. 72 caches in 24hrs- whoop whoop.
A quick easy find with Hayleyhnz, Hannahhnz and Hollyhnz as we walked along the trail. TFTC
Thanks Popmac for placing this cache
It was a wild Westerly wind and storm forcast today so I settled for one cache...
Didn't get too wet and enjoyed being out there, exposed to the elements for a short ride before turning around for the short but wet trip home.

Finding the cache
Finding it was the easy part waiting for the muggles to move out of sight was a bit of a pain as soon as one group was almost out of sight another group appeared five groups in all
The plan for the day
Today's goal is quite simple it is to get the rest of the caches along this walkway and this time I did remember to bring a jacket and my Geocaching bag. The weather was quite cool with light rain in the morning but it cleared up later in the morning
Goals toward my Project GC badges
All caches that you collect will lead to badges but for today I'm getting at least one cache for the day which will help with my The Calendar Cacher badge which is currently at Platinum and to get it to the diamond a badge you need to have collected at least one cache on each day of the calendar year included the leap day in February luckily this badge goal can be spread over many years and you are not required to do it in one year
Ewe-Jean Grey the Sheep in the Red Woolly Jumper
Ewe-Jean is my Geocaching mascot who likes to have her photo taken on our geocaching travels
Thanks for the cache

Was unsuccessful finding this one the first time around. I felt around the railing and no luck so i left to find the other caches along the track. On my way back i gave it another try and searched differently. Quick find this time one of these things is not like the other! Left a little something for the next person to find tftc
The bridges on this track are quite substantial structures. It would be interesting to see the cost-benefit analysis that justifies the the amount of money spent on building this trail. Is Linton a major destination or something? Everyone I saw on the trail today I saw twice as they turned around at the end and went back. As did I.
As for the cache, I stood around and had a think on my way north convinced it was a particular type of hide I was expecting here. But I saw nothing and carried on for now. On the way back I was tight on time but I stopped and briefly tried something else. Amazingly the cache turned out to be something I picked up very early on my first visit but I evidently wasn't really looking what I was doing! Great to find this after so nearly DNFing it.
I wasn't expecting tricky caches on this path but they are more rewarding to find. TFTC.

As the wife said Another Bridge. Luckily this one has a good hint so we could find it.
Quick find with the kids on a family walk on Xmas day. Thanks to all cache owners for taking the time to place and maintain your caches. Team Broadbent (signed TB on micros). Find # 2257
There seems to be a few of this type along this trail...cache all good and tidy..thanks Popmac
What a fabulous trail along here. I am really enjoying it. No expense spared. Its sweltering hot though. All good here. Thanks for the cache Popmac
Really enjoying the afternoon exploring this walkway with tmann421 today

After already grabbing the cache and not realising it was it we finally found it haha
It finally feels like Winter is over and Spring is here. Even before the start of Daylight Saving, there is a bit more light in the evenings by which I can cache, especially on these Fridays after work when I'm travelling up to Palmy to meet up with friends for the evening.
Today was especially interesting for me, as I had treated myself earlier in the week to a new TOTT and today I was going to use it for the first time. An adult sized Scooter, with proper sized pneumatic wheels which would allow me to travel much quicker over reasonably flat but uneven terrain!
So having parked up at the end of Bells Road, I knew (because I had done it before) that a return walk to this cache site would take me approximately 50 minutes, but I was able to use the Scooter and my own leg power to slash that time down to less than half of that. Mind you, it's been some 40+ years since I was last on a Scooter, so I suspect my legs will be reminding me of that fact over the next few days! But otherwise I would judge this to be a successful trial run.
I knew exactly where the cache was, as I had been part of a party of people walking along this track 2 months earlier shortly after this cache was published but I had chosen not to find it then as I would save it for a Dot Day such as today. Everything was fine with this cache and the logsheet, which was duly signed before being replaced as found.
Thanks for placing this cache, and giving me the excuse to be a child again lol!

I took the opportunity today to explore this new path on my bike with jgbeau. We rode out to Linton with the plan to cache all the way back to town.
A nice quick easy find here.

It was a lovely day to be out along the track and so did alot of other PN people as the track was very busy with buggies, dogs and cyclists and walkers!
thanks for these caches along this new walkway.

I biked out to find this cache on Friday, but there were a couple of guys doing some track maintenance very close to the cache, so I didn't look. I came back again on Sunday morning and it was all clear, allowing for a quick find.
Nice hide.
Thanks.
