Visiting WA from Brisbane to spend some time with hubby as well as attend WAGB2023 and cache with Geo buddy Snickersallan.
Met up with geofriends again to find more caches in the area.

Luckily for us this was a quick find as the others have been quite tricky. Log signed cache returned.

Another visit to this lovely district with geo friends and filling in a few more gaps on the map.
To save space on the log sheets, we have signed as TEAM EAST+2.
No trouble finding this one, a good hide here once again.

Thanks, megawat60, for placing this cache for our enjoyment

Western Australia Adventure 2023
Day Five: Mandurah to Yanchep
Weather: Sensational.

One of ten WIRB jigsaw puzzle caches found today. It’s brought me to Yanchep for the first time and I’ve enjoyed the visit; a perfect day for it. I hope to come back and complete the series, plus there were two DNFs today. A lot of work here, thanks so much for the effort megawat60.

It’s officially a mega!

Solved all of these awhile back.
In town to find a few of them.
Most were quickish finds, some were sadly DNFs.
Spotted this one on approach, then we watched cachernator look for it.

After heading up to Two Rock to catch up with family I made the most of the weather and slowly cached my way back to Perth. It was an enjoyable afternoon as all caches were found in good condition unless otherwise stated.

10-Oct-20
With a Community Celebration event planned for this morning in Yanchep it was a great opportunity to make a day of it and try to clear as many caches from the area as possible, including a large number of solved jigsaw puzzles Smile Some were found before the event and some afterwards, and by the time I drove home I had a haul of 36 caches + a completed adventure lab Smile The map of Yanchep is looking much more yellow now! Smile

Parked up and enjoyed a nice walk over the grass in the sun Smile No-one around which was great as I would have looked particular suss at GZ trying to retrieve the cache! It was quickly spotted but I had to improvise before I could get my hands on the log. Replacing was a tad easier Smile All ok here - TFTC

10-Oct-20
Left the pest, I mean Hawkeye, in the car and headed over. I thought for sure the coords had to be wrong but alas they were not. LoneWolf was poking about with a stick, said here it is, and knocked it down. Completed the obligatory signing duties and managed to replace it. Just. Tftc!

10-Oct-20
Out with thronsy.4 collecting the puzzle caches...
She hatched a plan to leave Hawkeye with the sleeping one and give us a chance
Lonewolf spotted it and used a natural tool of the trade to retrieve it

SVKR_WA, KY_Zabra, Gra_nett and I made plans to tackle the "Where I would Rather be" puzzles waaaay up North (insert droll lines about visas and inoculations here )

The FOTT had worked through the puzzles and after moving some many pieces of brown and slightly lighter, no wait is that darker... Nope same colour Brown around many of the jigsaw puzzles over many sessions. the day had finally come when all that squinting paid off in smileys.

The weather was off and on with the wind doing its best to knock us over at times, but we managed to time our cache dashes between the showers.

Thanks for placing and maintaining this cache, you help make the game what it is today.

20-Sep-20
A few hours in the northern suburbs with Allied_Oz, Kyzabra & SVKR_WA on a mission to pick up as many Jigidis around Yanchep as we could and anything else that took our fancy. Weather was a bit dodgy at times but we managed to finish up with hatfull of smileys among the general shenanigans that go along with a day trip like this.

Allied_Oz was the one to spot this up high on arrival at GZ.

megawat60 I found your cache at 9:04am, this was the 16th of 29 finds for me today and brings my total find count to 6255. The cache was in good order and I replaced it as found.

Quickly found be AlliedOz and Granett

Another day of caching with the boys was organised. I picked up Granett and AlliedOz early and headed off to meet up with Kyzabra.

We had spent countless hours solving jigsaw puzzles, so after ensuring that our immunisations and passports were in order, we were off to Yanchep for an assault on the 30 odd jigsaws in the area.

It’s always a barrel of laughs when we all get together. Lots of fun, banter and general mischief always ensues.

megawat60 SVKR_WA is happy to have found your cache # 4 Where I'd Rather Be today at 09:03:46 20 Sep 2020. This brings my find count to 4295

megawat60 - Thanks for placing and maintaining this cache for our enjoyment. We love travelling and visiting some places that we would only visit due to this game.

20-Sep-20
SVKR_WA, Allied_Oz, Granett and I headed out today. Our primary focus was the WIRB puzzle caches. The FOTT had worked through them and spent many hours dragging little pieces across computer screens. So with a phone full of solved coords, and our inoculations up to date, we made the journey NOR.

The weather was a bit hit and miss but hey, when a plans been made, ya stick to it. Right Granett?

Quick find here.

Many thanks to megawat60 for placing and maintaining # 4 Where I'd Rather Be. We found it, signed it, and put it back as found. We found this one at 9:06 am on Sunday and this is my find 8706.

Even the rain can’t dampen a day out with Kapelula and ICNothing hitting the older caches and puzzles up north. Perfect location to stay while the rain bucketed down!

28-Jun-20
Glad we had a to to help with this one. Found whilst out and about caching with I C Nothing and Meme28. TFTH!

28-Jun-20
We received a day pass to go caching so Kapelula and I hit the road and headed north to meet up with Meme28. Our aim of today was to collect some old caches, puzzles and high favourite caches.

Not so quick find. Very tricky. Paf to find it. Tftc

Took a considerable time, a hint from the CO and a boost from Deefa71 to locate this one. TFTC:)

Found it. TFTC megawat60. Out for a morning Cacheing with ullyssia and papilon367. It was ullyssia that was in the right position to spot this one.

29-Dec-19
Perfect morning to tackle this series with ullyssia and Photo-Play. Great hiding place. Well spotted by ullyssia and retrieved by Photo-Play. Thank you for the jigsaw, the cache and the series megawat60.

Our GZ had us on the corner of the building and we couldn’t work out where people may have been climbing!

Unfortunately megawat60 I couldn’t find your cache # 4 Where I'd Rather Be today. Hopefully I’ll have better luck next time I’m here.

29-Oct-19
Sports event going on at the oval so we were able to grab this hide but not #3. Thanks megawat60

15-Oct-19
I am currently visiting WA from SA and staying at a friend’s house in Shenton Park for a few days. Today I again headed out, up as far as Yanchep, to find some caches of interest to me.

I solved the earlier puzzles in this series before leaving home in preparation for the trip. And then some more were published which I solved en route. I didn’t think I’d get to them though, given they are quite a way north. But I did want to complete the two challenge caches nearby, which gave me a reason to travel up here.

I got a bit sidetracked checking out the extensive new developments near the coast in a places that I was familiar with from when I lived in WA 25 years ago. This meant it was after 3pm before I started and I didn’t have enough time to search for all the caches in the series as I needed to be back at Greenmount by 7pm. Where I did search, I had to limit my time and pass on those I couldn’t find quickly. I ended up searching for 12 of them and finding 9. I will have to come back for the remainder when I have more time.

This was a nice quick find, but not quite where I was anticipating.

Thanks megawat60 for the puzzle and the cache.

14-Sep-19
Headed north of the river this morning with the main aim to pick up the 5 Lab caches then the Where Id rather be series and a few other ones that came up along the way. It took the hubby a while to do some of the jigsaw puzzles and a few of the caches to a while to find. All in all a good morning of caching TFTC megawat60

27-Aug-19
I’d walked from afar and had no chance of logging a find without help. So back to the car for a 2km drive around streets to the carpark. I missed the cache on first climb but spotted the container on second look. Thanks.

Patch had a flashback to her younger days when crossing the athletics track and Spot had to hold her back for fear of her doing that dreaded calf muscle again. Luckily Spot was just the right size to make the grab of this baby. It's in perfect shape; thanks megawat60 for the Puzzle and the hide.

06-Aug-19
We headed up the coast to perform our signing duties on the "Where I'd rather be in Winter" series after solving the jigsaws..... we must admit some of them were very frustrating, taking more hours than I though we had, but all worth it once you were rewarded with the final coords.

Whilst in the area we took the opportunity to collect a few other caches, having a great day with only 1DNF. Our day was not short of adventure, Mrs Parkacruz decided to get up high to collect one of the caches, got stung by a bee, had a somewhat anaphylactic reaction and got stuck up the tree. A passer by came to assist but ended up being a hindrance with her dogs trying to jump up the tree barking at Mrs P. Eventually the reaction under control and she was back down the tree and we continued our hunt.

Thanks for the puzzles, the adventures, the stories and the laughs, a great day out TFTC

On the last few now. I thoroughly enjoyed the puzzles & we have both enjoyed our NOR trip to collect our smileys. TFTC Megawat60

24-Jul-19
Rode our bikes up Marmion into a howler to check out these solved puzzle caches and see whether we would need to bring TOTTs with us next time. Ironically found 3 out of 4 and the one we didn't find almost certainly doesn't need a TOTT, just better eyesight.

A surprisingly quick find here given the previous logs. Mr. O. has previously made a FTF in exactly this spot so the place must just have good caching vibes. Thanks for the puzzles and caches, megawat60!

19-Jul-19
No find today, wasnt able to check high up very well as I was on my own with nothing to stand on but judging by the terrain level it shouldnt be up high? Ill be back!

Well I had to do the puzzle twice and retrieval and then returning the cache was a real challenge. Tftc

16-Jul-19
Fav point here.

Headed North of the river today with the main goal of picking up a large bunch of traditional caches that have been growing out of control here for some time. A beautiful day to be out with sunshine and low temperatures making for perfect caching weather which also meant a fair few muggles at a number of caches.

Had a great day out and even managed to snag a FTF which had been up for 3 days, and not been attempted by anyone aswell as 8 FTFs along the beach as part of the new Jess12310 series.

A great days caching and thanks for the fun.

15-Jul-19
Another epic jigsaw! Despite being at the CO’s house, his contribution was to cook dinner while I completed the puzzle in a record breaking 4 hours 33 minutes 27 seconds. This morning was the time to retrieve the cache at last. Thanks for this puzzle, cache, and dinner and a FP for the first 2.

13-Jul-19
We both enjoy jigsaw so when they get published we get a bit excited. This took us an embarrassingly long time to find and was definitely another Mr fratra retrieval.
TFTC megawat60 this is find # 7179 for us.

12-Jul-19
After solving this one last night, we decided to pick it up on our way through Yanchep today. We have to admit, it took us longer than we expected to find this tricky hide! Thanks for continuing to place these interesting caches up this way, megawat60 ??

11-Jul-19
We had been working on a number of puzzles in the area but did not think we would get there this trip as we still had a couple a little further north to solve. But when this new puzzle in the series popped up and we made good progress we headed out this morning. The light rain didn’t not deter us but did make us think where else we might like to be.
Good coords help and soon we found the well concealed hide. We opened it up to find a blank log and confirmed a blank log and **FTF**. We completed the signing duties and re hid. TFTC.

Phew... We thought we were not going to find this one but just before we gave up it revealed itself. Thanks for the puzzle and the hunt magawat60.
