A lovely peaceful spot here in the sun today, soon had some coords, and a quick find at the final, TFTC
Nice and quick to solve and claim before the rain. Good to see a container able to take swaps so I left something. TFTC
Very quiet en interesting place, esp now at night with the full moon shining on the graves. Mystical, special, thanks for showing it through this cache, tftc!
Staying for the Easter weekend in Pohara. Headed out for an early morning walk along the beach before the rain comes. Enjoy multi although the simpler the better for me. Happy to add a favourite point for bringing me here Dead quiet without a soul about. Cache and log all fine. Thanks for the smiley.
Since there was no checker, I was never quite sure I had everything correct until I had the cache in my hands. TFTC.
We decided on a day trip to Golden Bay and headed straight to Collingwood for the AdventureLab there, our normal routine being to head to the furthest away and cache back towards base. After completing the two AdventureLabs in town we came to Clifton to do another and then enjoy the tranquility of this area. It's such a peaceful area with no traffic, industrial, or other intrusive noises to spoil a visit.
Thank you Sidewaze.
Thank you Sidewaze.
With a great day forecast we decided on Collingwood as a starting point and see how much caching we could get done on the way back home. There were trads, puzzles, lab caches and a virtual in today's mix. Life is good! With the coords worked out we took the car up some more then walked. Tranquillity encapsulates the essence of this place. Thank you Sidewaze
The location that completely fulfills the expectations based on title! Beautiful calm spot, and a straightforward multi. TFTC!!
We soon calculated the coordinates, and the cache was a quick easy find a short wander away, at this indeed tranquil location. TFTC

A few quick finds to finish our day exploring & caching, was a goodie! Lots of firsts for me Short walks I've been meaning to do but never seem to find time, we did this weekend
The most beautiful Rhodies here, they were huge! I know how slow they grow too so these are grand ole ladies

What a great spot. A simple multi, we came out in the early evening after some dinner, and it was actually RGs idea. Let the record state that I was happy to sit at home and drink wine.
But we had a search around here and found three caches and discovered a lovely spot.
The cemetery plots here are well spaced out, so much so that I made up stories that the locals didn’t actually get on and refused to be buried within 20 metres of their neighbours. I am sure it’s not the case.

A quick find with SJT_NZ while on a two day jolly in the area, met a local photographing some of the very old headstones, the earliest we found was 1840 and as always in cemeteries some tragic losses both young and old. Thanks Sidewaze for putting the multi together.
Thanks Sidewaze for this cache. Tregearp and I really enjoyed our visit to the area. Its a really peaceful area and full of markers to history that I'd like to know more about. You've named this cache perfectly, an FP for exactly that. Thanks for the cache.
#20049. We'd visited the cemetery before finding caches, and were pleased to have the chance to come back and find another. It wasn't entirely tranquil, however, as in the parking area beyond the sign a guy was standing next to his car. He had his back to us, so I wasn't entirely sure what he was doing (it looked like he might be taking a leak, so I didn't look too closely). We soon had some coords, and walked into the cemetery to find the cache. Quick find. TFTC.
Found with StreetWalkerNZ on a cool but sunny morning as we head to Ligar Bay.
I can remember finding a cache here several years ago. I'm pretty sure it was under that huge rhodo in the cemetery grounds. A lovely location, soon had the co-ords and a short walk later, we were doing the paper work. Thanks for bringing me back here and TFTC.

Dad for the find. M&D having a lovely little bike ride, much like previous cachers I see!

Our last cache for the day. These are the kind of multis that suit my ability. Short and sweet. I admired a magnificent rhododendron in the cemetery. The biggest I’ve ever seen in NZ. Up to Scottish standards. I see that some muggles have signed the cache.

We have been here a few times, even freedom camped a few times....not allowed anymore I think.
Quiz was nice and easy, as was the find.
Thanks fopr the fun.

Found with NZDi while returning from a 'dump run'. We a spending a few days at a holiday home in Pohara with our extended family which now includes three cachers since my daughter asked me to create an account for our 8 month old grandson (KiwiNate2020). The rubbish was accumulating so we did a run to the dump and on the way back dropped in to Clifton to pick up a couple of caches that have been placed since our last visit almost two years ago. KiwiNate2020 wasn't with us on this trip so won't log it.
I seem to recall there was another multi cache in this area on a previous visit, I guess it was archived for some reason or another. This one must be one of the easier multies we've had to work out and once GZ was calculated we went on a short walk. When c:geo indicated I had 20m to go, I thought 'That can't be right' and had a look around. I spotted a likely looking hidey hole just a few metres away and when we looked, there was the cache. After completing the paperwork, I checked c:geo again and it was now reading 6m from GZ. That's more like it.

#8523. I am over in the Takaka region on a work trip. After spending a couple of nights in the back country it was time to return to civilisation. After a debriefing of our field trip in the office I had a few hours spare before dinner to go and find some local caches. Drove up here to do the multi. Didn't take long to find the information needed and soon had the corrected coordinates calculated. Then off for a walk to GZ taking a far more difficult route than was necessary. Cache was found in the first place checked however. Signed the logbook and replaced the cache where found. Nice and quiet here today. Thanks Sidewaze for hiding it here.
We were in Golden Bay for the weekend, with the intention of finding a few caches each day.
It was a wet miserable sort of weather today, not GK's favourite weather for geocaching, but he puts up with it for my sake.
We have been here before and always find it interesting wandering around old cemeteries such as this one. There are so many sad stories and so many young people, some of what we read is just heart breaking.
The cache was totally uncovered when we found it, so once the formalities were completed we put a piece of bark on top of the cache container.
We spent ages here, firstly wandering around then just being in the van as we enjoyed the peace and quiet.
Thank you for placing this cache and thank you for the smiley

A nice quick multi thanks. Easy to get coords and accurate GZ too.
Found as we started to head back over the hill to Nelson. Golden Bay was all damp and a bit drizzly, and the Nelson side fine and sunny!
Thanks to all CO's for publishing and maintaining their caches. Cheers.

As we were in the area and have always liked this little peaceful cemetery we decided we would complete the multi. It has been a while since doing any multis so was great to do a nice easy multi and niteowlNZ making the find. No the first time doing a multi here Thanks for the cache.
Arrived at GZ and got some numbers that looked good so after a short stroll we found the cache -nice to be back here again It is as peaceful and well kept as usual - log signed - thanks for the cache
I'm on leave for a couple of weeks from today. Mrs Biggles and I were supposed to be heading to America for a holiday but as international travel is off the cards for now, I've decided to do a bit more 'local' travel. This time a couple of days over in Golden Bay.
Parked nearby and wandered over to the sign with the information needed to find the cache. Everything made sense so the cache was found in the first place I checked. TFTC, Biggles.

I disabled my caches during Level 4 lockdown to encourage everyone to do the right thing. Now we’re moving to Level 3 I’m going to leave the decision to search for a cache or not to each individual. Remember you still need to stay in your bubble and a bit of hand sanitiser before and after handling a cache would be appropriate. Keep yourself and others safe.

Quick find while staying at Pohara Top 10. Went for a bike ride from there. Lovely spot. Thanks for the cache
I left our campsite in Takaka a little earlier than the rest of our group so I could stop here on the way to Tata Beach for our club overnight paddle into Mutton Cove. It didn't take long to get some final coordinates then a short walk to make the find. Said a quick hello to my great and great great grandparents before rushing off to Tata Beach. Thanks for a great way to start the day Sidewaze

Checking out the cemetery for this info - but NO its back over there. So retraced our steps to the gate and over to the signs. Gathered the info to go back into the cemetery to get this one snagged and tagged. Cheers
Its Sunday and we are off to Pupu springs before heading home later today.
Its a long weekend to Takaka, with Collingwood and Farewell Spit in the mix, with Zara Toby and Bullertroutss Bro. So lets go exploring. Visited lots of awesome places. But never enough time. I will be back.

This is the sort of multi I like. Simple coordinates to get, final location not far away, and an absolutely stunning location. Have a favourite point.
Indeed a restful spot - lots of folks here doing just that! Good coordinates- TFTC
A spot I always enjoy visiting. It was indeed very Tranquil here this morning. A quick solve and find. Cheers and TFTC
This one lived up to its name today. Just me in the peace, quiet and solitude after sorting the numbers. Enjoying being back in the bay on a gorgeous Spring day after quite a while. TFTC # 14,595
This was a bonus [FTF] as we had no idea we were first until we opened the log. Had we known the cache had not yet been found we would have gone here in the morning instead of in the afternoon as one of our final caches. We had decided it sounded like a peaceful spot for our afternoon tea - from the thermos. It was.
Thanks. We picked up the trackable.
