If the tide was any higher it would have been quite a challenge, but we were fortunate to only have squelchy ground to contend with. TFTC!
My body really does not compress like that, but got there, pencil was blunt, a very feint tw and dq in the logbook.
TFTC, great find and swapped out for a TB, much enjoyment for my 10 minutes trip to Orford:))
TFTC!! I couldn't sign the log as there was no pen and I couldn't find one in our car!!
27 June 2024 07:44.Found this cache after leaving our accommodation in Orford and before heading to find and sign the rest of the Snake Series.A lovely jetty and view. Cache found safe and well, and we didn't get our feet wet.Thank you wa11ymo11y for bringing us here.
Honeymooning in Tasmania with catnap777 means up early to find caches. Being close to our overnight accomodation, his was our first for the day before taking on the TTS letterbox series.TFTC wa11ymo11y. It was found and returned in pristine condition and we took the TB "Scouting for Food".
Today I did Parkrun in Orford, then back to Triabunna to collect the husband and a packed lunch. Then for a casual caching afternoon. Had a lovely time, some cool walks, lunch at a picnic table in the sunshine and found about 10 caches. Thanks to all the CO for their hides we really appreciate you adding to our enjoyment of the game. This was a lovely hide liked all the construction to make sure it stays safe. TFTC swapped TBs
Working on Orford for a few months. Early finish with the rain today so a good opportunity to find a big enough cache to do off a couple of TBs. Nice little area and a good cache. Thanks wa11ymo11y
A great find - even with a broken toe! Cache is in fab condition, well done! Tftc.
Alas, the tide was in too far and we didn't want to get too wet.Next time....
TFTC. Heading from Tunnack to Coles Bay and decide wed spot here for Lunch. It was a beautiful day and decided to grab this cache to help stretch my leg. I nice well constructed hide will ensure a good longevity for the cache.
A quick find here, no issues. Put back in its cradle and we are off again. TFTC!Day 15 of our trip around Tassie, and this is Freycinet to Port Arthur.Another decent road trip day. We just have the one night in Port Arthur though, so the plan was to get here as soon as we could to get a few hours in on the afternoon to visit the penal colony before we fly out tomorrow for a quick trip to Sydney. We drove past plenty of caches and stopped for none, but when we got to the Wielangta road series our GPS wanted to send us that way.I had solved all of the snake series back home before this trip, and had heard they were good quality caches, so no complaints from me. Lets have a look. Our goal was to get maybe 10 select ones on that road - the criteria being high fave points, good parking, recent find activity and decently spread out.We set out at good clip, but slowed as we got off the metalled road, as anticipated. What was less anticipated was how much debris the high winds had left on the road. What was further less anticipated (but in the back of my mind considered a possibility) was the huge gum tree across the road only 9 caches in.So, change of plan. We go back, find as many of those 9 we have just ignored as possible and take the A3 instead. We did that, got to Port Arthur and enjoyed the sights and the wind chill factor of about 2 degrees. Huzzah! All good in the end, thanks all COs.
Located with Ricardinho A quick park & grab for RNZ & I on our way to the Remarkable Cave. Day 15 of our trip around Tassie/Sydney trip & we are travelling from Freycinet NP to Port Arthur. Another reasonable travel day of 3 hours +. Just one nigh in Port Arthur for us & then off to Sydney for 3 days for a wedding RNZ's aim for today was to get a shitload of letter box caches on Wielangta road, he'd spent ages solving all the puzzles before our holiday. Yesterday we had very high winds on the east coast & even before hitting this road we had seen a lot of debris. We just hadn't anticipated how much debris there would be on this road! I was just thinking what would we do if we came across a fallen tree & around the corner we came to find a massive fallen gum. No getting past this any time soon Fortunately it was only a few kms into the trip, so we turned around & headed back getting all the LB caches we could for RNZ. The rest of the series will have to wait for another time.We got to Port Arthur early afternoon and enjoyed the sights and the wind chill factor of about 2 degrees at the penal colony ruins.TFTC
Out on a drive with a client today to Orford, and collecting a few caches along the way. High tide at the time I found this one! So shoes and socks off, and trousers rolled up. I think my feet finally thawed out about 1/2 an hour later There was a trackable inside as a bonus Favourite point givenTFTC
TFTC! Waa geocaching with Mum and BobbasCat. Staying in Oford for a few days with my family and decided to take a walk and do some caches. Good spot
Yay, Found it - by torchlight!
Spending a couple of days in Orford.
After dinner and finishing a real jigsaw, I went for a walk to find a couple of nearby caches.
Luckily the tide was just low enough, about ½ out I reckon.
Took a few minutes to spot, just needed the right angle, from these old knees!
Thanks wa11ymo11y, for the cache and the adventure.
Cheers, EPs.

Beautiful spot on the way to Coles Bay. Sat Nav took us on yet another dirt road. Made a coffee spot and found this cache. Tftf

Glad it was low tide today. A nice little spot to hide a cache. So pleased to find something other than a micro. Thanks for the geo-fun.

We're spending a few days in Orford doing the nearby TTSS caches and just generally looking around.
Today we explored this area and found this cache while there.
Lucky for us it was low tide so I could easily look where needed and the cache was soon found.
Nice hide!

On our way around Tassie for 3 weeks. Heading up the East coast now
Stopped here for leg stretch and decided to look for a cache. There is definitely lots of muggles here!
Luckily the tide was well out so no wet feet, log signed and cache was put back into its position

Today we went up to Orford to try and find some more of the tiger snake series, a total of thirty nine finds and two DNFs.
We were going to come up this way last week but a new cache at Dover had us going down there instead.
Parked close to GZ and began our search, there aren’t many places it could be, but of course the place I was searching wasn’t the right one. Zozetta ended up making the find.
Thanks for the cache wa11ymo11y!

The. A h had gone missing. It has now been reinstated and moved to a better location
It appears to have disappeared. Will be replaced in several weeks. Sorry for the inconvenience
There is a pile of rocks where it looks like it should be but it has been knocked over and there isn't anything there. Maybe gone to a high tide.
On a road trip from Hobart to Stanley with my mum over 2 weeks. We visited a number of towns and we were mainly targeting Virtuals and Earthcaches due to the amazing locations they take one to. We did pick up the random traditional, multi, puzzle, wherigo and even a couple letterbox caches whilst travelling.
It was time to head to Bicheno for the next leg of our road trip. We collected a number of caches along the way just to keep us occupied and see where they took us.
Thanks for placing and mainting this geocache wa11ymo11y

First cache for the day. Out exploring Orford and the surrounding area and caching too. Quiet, quaint town along the river, with some pretty blue beaches to swim at. TFTC

Found with RGSBruce on Day 10 of our trip to Tassie (his fifth, my fourth).
I'm a bit behind on writing up my logs, languishing in yet another COVID lockdown in a cold and dismal Melbourne , so what he wrote.

Day 10 and the last day of HerIndoorsOutdoors and my trip to Tassie.
A leisurely drive from Swansea to Hobart, via wherever took our fancy today, with stops to pick up caches along the way as we had plenty of time to get to the airport for out 20:50 flight to Melbourne (which ended up departing after it should have arrived in Melbourne thanks to some foul weather, which was depositing some of its excess water on the East Coast of Tassie as we headed South).
This was just a very short detour from our route. The iPhone's GyPSy took us a little astray at first, but a pause and quick re-think had us back on track to find the hide.
This turned out to be cache #7 of 15 today. Our biggest caching day in quite some time .
The cache is in good condition.
