Back on the mainland, after nearly 3 months in Tassie. So nice to have avoided all the excessively hot weather.Slowly heading up the east coast. Grabbing a few hides along the way. An easy enough find here.Thanks dghoffy for placing the cache and doing the maintenance needed, so we can find this cache.

Found at 1740 hrs. I think the container was left upside down - it had a. Bit of water in it, but the log was dry. Have replaced were found, but turned the other way up. TFTC.

A drop bear that's been on the plonk, I did wonder if it might have fallen off its perch. Well it amused me on my meandering.

Not a fan of micros in the bush where you could put an ammo can.
Looked for 15 mins for no luck. Next time

Ocw the Bebes. After visiting the lovely village of central Tilba we headed out to Bermagui and picked up a few caches on the way. Tftc

Day 7 of my trip to Bermagui. Today I decided to climb Gulaga (Mt Dromedary) and collect a few caches along the way.

First one for the morning, this took way longer than it should have. I eventually turned around and spotted the hide.

A cute find and worth a favourite.

We are currently staying at Bermagui, and today took a drive north to Narooma. We managed to find a few trads, do an adventure lab, solve a puzzle, do an earthcache and a library cache in between the relentless rain! We also had a fabulous feed of fish and burgers at the Golf Club for lunch, so the miserable weather didn’t mess us up for too long.
This one had us looking for a while before we finally managed to find it. Lucky the rain wasn’t too bad while we were looking, and our coats are pretty good.
Thanks for these additions to the SST. We started the series about 5 years ago, and it’s always nice to find a few more

Last cache for today, heading back to Wallaga after a nice meal at the Dromedary Hotel Central Tilba, and a beautiful new loop walk from there.

After a fun morning of diving out at Montague island and then a lunch with a diving friend who I have not caught up with in too long, it was time to head home. I took the southern route as there is plenty of caching that way at the moment, but I was struggling with a deteriorating back and only did a few of the available caches in each area.

I like that a few new SSTs have been put out on the old loop. there are so many more to do now.

Heading south today, from Tomakin, destination Bairnsdale and yes we have our Victorian border entry permits on board.
There was a certain feeling of deja vu as we added our name to the log here. Back in Feb. 2015 along with the Suscoe duo, we completed the original SST series. Great to have a few more surprises on the gameboard.

with lots of bum steers,
a cache somewhere abouts,
of that there's no doubts

Finding said cache wasn't too hard,
as the drop bear that did hide,
the cache was givin' me the bear finger,
that I could see from the roadside

We are having a short break from the dry and dusty inland and spending some time watching waves and the magnificent whales. Very cute cache! Thanks for adding to our enjoyment of this beautiful region.

We are having a wonderful time on our short break on the coast. We have seen platypus at Bombala, whales at Merimbula and Eden and done a little geocaching on the way. Many thanks for thevery cute cache.

Our caching fun continued today as we went on the hunt with ilook4geo. Mostly we concentrated on the SST series, but some were not included in the list for various reasons. We found it very interesting how most cache names were very relevant, either being related to the camo or the position chosen for the hide.
Some were quick and easy finds, but others took a bit more serious looking. We also enjoyed finding the variety of containers used. All in all we had a lot of fun today and say thank you to dghoffy for placing and maintaining this great series.

What a fun day it was today with all the caches found with goingplaces2. Loved the camo used for so many of the caches and enjoyed finding the trickier ones too. Logs were signed and containers were replaced. TFTC.

Nice little weekend away with fitzy_1965 catching up with friends in Merimbula.

Spent a lovely night in Merimbula visiting (caching) friends...stayed up way too late but was worth it! LOL

Now time to head home picking up a few stray caches along the way. I almost gave up on this one as I'm terrible at finding these types of hides. So was very glad that it was me who spotted it.

Poor David Essex is no more! Nice replacement though....very cute.

Heading down to Merimbula with minniek for some caching and to catch up with some good friends. After staying with some local cachers for a fun night of relaxing and talking all things
cashing we headed out this morning with a few goals in mind, mainly 2 walks - around Long Point and the bushland next to the Pambula Merimbula Country Club. After finishing both walks and all the caches we started heading home. Stopped at this one as it was new since our last trip down this way. I remember David Essex across the road.
