An afternoon of geocaching in Beacon Hills. This cluster of caches has been showing on my map for many years, so I decided to finally make a start with these.
An easy find as the cache was exposed. Signed and pit it back a bit more camouflaged.

After finding this one, we went to explore the area and got tricked by google maps. TFTC
With all the rain we have had recently I will go and check up on all of my caches to see if they need fixing or replacing. In the meantime, feel free to keep searching, but unfortunately, I cannot guarantee the caches will be there or in good condition.

I had to take the high road in to find this one as the oval was sodden.
There was lots of rubbish lying about so I did a quick CITO while I was here. There's still more rubbish around but it is looking a little cleaner.
It looks like this is the local drug hangout with bongs scattered around so I covered the cache with some more natural material. Apart from the rubbish, this was a nice spot to come to.

# 7597 While my partner iPlod65 was recovering from her all-night ultra-marathon at Narrabeen, I headed to Long Reef to grab the adventure lab, then down to Manly dam for another. It was a lovely day weather-wise and many locals with their attendant canines making good use of the conditions.
A quick find here.
Thanks geocachingmaty

Found it! Great opportunity for CITO, I didn't bring a bag today so could only grab a few pieces. TFTC.
The people who found it before us made it hard by putting rocks and wood over it making it harder to find.
I didn’t like how much rubbish was down there aswell

Followed co-ordinates and then looked around for the rock which does not need a lift.

Decided to head over this way and pickup some caches that have popped up since I was last in the area. Hardly anyone around today though this cache would be well out of sight of anyone watching the sport. Thanks geocachingmaty.
geocachingmaty I found your cache Beacon Hill #16 - Beacon Hill Reserve on 14/8/20, 11:47 am. This is my find 2598 and find # 6 today. No problems locating this one. Thanks for the cache, mate! TNSLLN
A few geocaches today on the way home from a rough ocean swim at Manly. Lots of young women at soccer camps here today during school holidays. SL TFTC Cheers... Gaztek
In the area so toon the opportunity to grab a few of the multitude of caches that have been placed over the last 12 months or so. A little concerned by the recent DnFs on a few of these but so widening of the search areas or looking at different angles turned up the various hides. We completed the signing duties and re hid. TFTC.
This was a nice easy one, once I was in the right area. Glad I didn’t slip! Cache# 1156 TFTC
I took myself to an interesting group of caches around Beacon Hill today. Mostly successful too.

On Friday I departed Brisbane on my way south to spend Christmas with some relatives in Vincentia, NSW. I had allowed myself a few days of relaxed travel, which gave me plenty of time to do some caching along the way. Today I had planned to rendezvous with the rest of my family at Sydney airport, but I had some spare time before their flight for a couple more caches including this one.
Parking in the sport field car park, I passed by a muggle exercising on the field but he was preoccupied by his exertions to take any notice as I headed into the bushland. I was able to exit a short time later with the cache promptly found and my name stamped into the logbook. TFTC

Decided to get a few geocaches around our area as it was such a nice and sunny Sunday afternoon. Even though the sun was warm as soon as we ducked into the shadow we felt cold. This was our first and we did not have any problems getting to it
Coords are a bit off but other than that great hide forth and final one for the day. TFTC!
Log in good condition considering the amount of rain ️ over the last few days. No muggles out and about. TFTC
I've saved up some local caches to finally fill in my calendar.
This one was particularly good as it only needed a short walk - a 30km trail running race this morning has left me slightly fatigued

Took awhile as GPS was all over the place. Eventually spotted by the youngest of our trio. Dropped off a TB. TFTC
Quick find after MacCafe on the way to PelDroedGwin's football GF at Cromer . OCW Brewmaker & MaxAdventurer. TFTC
Having found a few of this series earlier in the week, I returned to collect a few more.
A really lovely park with a great perimeter walk. I missed this one when I was here previously, but this visit completed the three.

Find in another quiet area of the park. Just as I was leaving, a soccer ball came rolling down and I save one of the players from running after it. Thanks geocachingmaty.
Easy find on my way home. Not the nicest place of Beacon Hill Reserve, but I guess there is another one on the other side.

Decided to head out Beacon Hill way for some finds today. Brought the Geowife with me and we enjoyed a late lunch at a nearby shopping centre after our initial two finds.
Decided to start at a familiar park, and while one had me going for a bit the other was a quick find. And we ran into another caching couple while here as well - BONUS!
Went for five overall to up my calendar finds, and found them all.
And there are still plenty of caches in the area to find.
###END OF CUT AND PASTE SECTION###
Relatively easy one here - our main concern was the best approach to GZ without getting in the way of the match.
Once close the likely GZ was identified. And there it is.
Signed replaced, and then on the way back to the carpark we spotted **The Bebes** and **PelDroedGwin**.
A nice chat ensued before they continued on and we headed for lunch.

OCW PelDroedGwin.
As we crossed the grass from the carpark we bumped into GathererHade and MrsGH who were returning to their car.
After a quick catch up we parted ways and made our way over the GZ for a quick grab.
